Burnaby Central Park
Located in Metro Vancouver , Burnaby's Central Park is a large 220 acre urban oasis. It borders Boundary Road which divides the City of Vancouver and Burnaby.

Only one SkyTrain stop west from the busy Metrotown Shopping Mall, Central Park provides a pleasant oasis from the noise and bustle of the city. Easy to get to, it's directly across the road from Patterson SkyTrain Station.
Much quieter than Stanley Park, Burnaby's Central Park features a network of easy, level walking paths through coastal rainforest. As you stroll, jog or cycle along the tranquil pathways you may see some friendly squirrels and perhaps even spot a bald eagle soaring overhead. The park has two natural ponds where you'll find ducks, geese and other waterfowl. You might even spot some turtles. The park also has a seasonal outdoor pool, a children's playground and a small pitch-and-putt golf course with club rentals.
Central Park is also home to Swangard Stadium which hosts a number sporting events throughout the year. For complete details about Burnaby's Central Park see the official website above.

This spot is fantastic for a run or walk, offering a well-maintained path with plenty of things to explore. There's a tennis court for those looking to play, and during the warmer months, the outdoor swimming pool is a great option to cool off. Along the path, you'll also find exercise machines, perfect for a quick workout break.
However, I wouldn’t recommend visiting alone at night, as the area doesn’t feel particularly safe after dark. Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy during the day, but caution is advised when the sun goes down.

A bunch of green forests and lots of squirrels and ducks. Excellent park for walks, jogging, cycling, running. 10 tennis courts and practice field, swimming pool, and football field. Many decorations awaiting for you!
Be aware of coyotes, eagles, and black bear. (Bears don't live there, but they might migrant to this park during pre-winter season). Also, always responsible for your own garbages and be alert for behaviors from some individuals.

Central Park is such a good place to walk, alone or with friends. There are 2 ponds you can walk to through the trails that are really beautiful. However, I would not recommend coming here alone when it gets darker as some trails are very secluded. There are 2 bathrooms (1 near the stadium and one on the other side near the tennis courts).

The temporary disc golf course here is really great. Best place in the lower mainland for a winter round. Thanks, City of Burmaby
