We decided to celebrate our anniversary at this beautiful restaurant last week. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth. The service was impeccable - attentive and knowledgeable. The staff took great care in explaining the menu and offering recommendations that enhanced the overall experience. Every course arrived promptly and with an artistry that showcased the chef’s passion for culinary excellence. I especially loved Smoked Sockeye Salmon Terrine - flavourful and perfectly prepared. While the main courses Sablefish and Free Range Chicken were beautifully cooked with balanced flavours, textures and presentation. To round off the meal, the dessert Elderflower Creme Brûlée was nothing short of divine. In every aspect, the restaurant excels. Whether it’s the artfully crafted dishes or the attentive, friendly service, it’s an experience I’ll be eager to repeat and recommend to friends.

Blue Water Cafe is an absolute gem! The food was nothing short of amazing—fresh, perfectly prepared, and bursting with flavor. But what truly set this experience apart was the incredible staff. Their attention to detail is second to none. Our server was not only attentive but also witty and an absolute delight to be around, making the evening even more enjoyable. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. Highly

Super fresh seafood that is very well priced with generous portions. Left very full and happy. The alcohol menu was very diverse and the cocktail I had was the best I’ve had in recent times. Our waiter Aaron was super friendly and lovely to talk too.

My friends and I were there celebrating my birthday. Their house special seafood tower was stunning and delicious! There were variety of seafoods stacked in a 3-tier plates. The service was good except that night seems to be short staffed and our waiter was often not around or busy attending other tables at the same time. We still had a great time and definitely will come back again!

Good place for family dinner. Cozy inside and quite warm on the patio, there were a lot of people but it wasn't noisy. Unfortunately I forgot the waiter's name (I’m sorry) but he was very professional and attentive, food was ok for me, we liked everything except the pork because it was too fatty.

The food is incredible. We decided to go for lunch the day after our dinner was so good. Unfortunately our server Raquel G ruined the entire experience for us. We were completely ignored, after she grudgingly took our initial order. We had to getup from our table, and ask another waiter to get us an order tea drink or another dish.
This is a pity, as our experience the night before was amazing. The lettuce wraps and salmon roll were delicious. My gin sour was delicious.

I have to say a huge thank you to our server, Darin as well as the female manager (I didn't get her name) for accommodating my dietary restrictions (for medical reasons). They went above and beyond to make sure I had something to order. Very caring staff. And as always, delicious food.

They were so busy during dine-out. Waited 40 min after our reso time. But the food is great.

Walked by here around lunch after a workout class and really enjoyed it! Surprised by the reviews since we had a lovely, attentive server, Devan G, and we all enjoyed our dishes a lot! The outdoor seating was very comfortable and shady. We came right at opening at 11:30 am and it got pretty lively around 12 outside.

This is a marvelous place to spend a lazy afternoon having lunch. The service was super friendly and professional. The terrace was cozy and shady, which was extra enjoyable during a hot summer day. The food was great, with excellent vegetarian choices. The latte was well prepared too. Overall warm recommendations for this place.

Never thought I'd write a review here but the lady working today at around 11:45AM was amazing. She was initially by herself and handled the SkipTheDishes system error professionally and even threw in a free cookie for me for the wait (not even Subway's fault). One of the best services I've ever witnessed.

I think this is best subway in Vancouver especially when rajan is there . The way rajan attend the customers is so friendly and empathetic. He always listen to the customers and give his best to make customer satisfied. I will recommend everyone to have a visit you will have best sandwich here

If you're looking for the best sandwich you'll ever eat, you have to visit 1213 Pacific Blvd Subway, especially when RAJAN is working. In my experience, no one makes sandwiches like him. He listens to exactly what you want, offers suggestions when you're unsure, and somehow always makes the perfect sub. It's like he knows your taste better than you do.
What really stands out about RAJAN is not just his sandwich-making skills but also how much he genuinely cares about the customers. You can tell he's understanding, patient, and supportive, which creates such a positive vibe in the restaurant.
Every time I go there, it's not just about grabbing food, it's about experiencing great service and care, thanks to RAJAN. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my subs

What an amazing experience! My mom and I took my sister for her birthday dinner and we had such a good time. The food and ambience were 10/10. Our server was Craig and he was always there when we needed him without being intrusive and made the evening a little more fun with his jokes. The host and manager were also both really friendly and nice. Brix and Mortar is one of my favorite restaurants and I always enjoy their food and service.

What a wonderful treat my wife gave me for my birthday at Brix and Mortar last week. It was truly a fantastic evening. And so, my tale begins...
When we arrived for our reservations, the front room on Hamilton St was filled with music from a guitarist playing music and guests conversations filled the air. We were escorted upstairs to the Dining Room area and to the rear at an elevated seating area of only 2 tables at the window at the Homer St. side of the restaurant. It seemed to be our own space. Our ‘server’ Corbin M greeted us cordially, asked if we wanted water, presented us with menus and asked if we would like to start with cocktails or such. He was very polite, friendly without being over bearing. My wife said we were in no rush and would like to pace our dinner slowly as we were celebrating. Corbin wished me a Happy Birthday. We really liked him. Very professional, polite, friendly and knowledgeable. My wife asked if the bartender could make a French Martini, I went with my traditional Bombay Safire martini. Corbin assured us that the bartender was more than up to the task of preparing a ‘French Martini’. When it arrived, my wife was in heaven, saying it was the best she ever had. My martini was as expected. When Corbin returned, we conveyed our pleasure of the mixologist’s abilities and proceeded to order wine for dinner. Asked if we could share their B&M House Ceasar (no problem), my wife ordered the steak tartare for starters then the Pork T-Bone. I decided to go seafood and started with the Scallop Crudo (which I never had before) and the Lingcod for my main. Corbin asked if I had the scallop crudo before, when I said I hadn’t, he proceeded to explain it all to me as tho he was preparing it himself. Made it sound so appealing. So, all was set. The Caesar salad was wonderful, fresh, crisp gem lettuce and plenty for 2 to share. My wife’s steak tartare was delicious served a little different than usual, this time on grilled sourdough, but she said it was very very good. My Crudo was quite good as well with slivers of scallops on cucumber in a vinaigrette. Quite tasty. Once starters were finished, Corbin brought in our mains. My wife’s port T-bone was fabulous she said, so I had to taste it too..and it was. My Lingcod was excellent. Smooth, tender in cornmeal crusted with smashed olives & confit tomato on aged cheddar grits. It was excellent. Wow..!! We also had their grilled sourdough to accompany of dinner and that was really tasty. Well there was no room for any dessert that was pretty evident, so we each had a cappuccino, decaf for my Mrs and to finish things off...sort of a treat for us when desired was to see if the mixologist could make us a pair of ‘Grasshopper’cocktails. Corbin asked..and they were delivered. Excellently prepared..and really topped the whole experience off. This evening was probably one of the best dinners out we’ve had in a Long time. It was one were we just wanted to be by ourselves..and Corbin made it special for us. He was great...and a true asset to Brix & Mortar. I hope I didn’t ramble on too much, but I had to share our wonderful evening. When in Yaletown, you have to visit Brix and Mortar. You won’t be disappointed. Thank you Corbin and Brix and Mortar

From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, thanks to our server, Craig. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure that our needs were met without being intrusive. His recommendations were spot on, enhancing our meal even further. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. Everything was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. One of the most delightful aspects was the lovely atmosphere on the patio. The outdoor seating provided a charming and relaxing backdrop, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, I highly recommend Brix and Mortar for anyone looking for great food and excellent service in a beautiful atmosphere. I look forward to returning to enjoy more of what they have to offer.

I’ve visited this place many times, and every time, the service has been consistently disappointing. The servers I’ve encountered have provided poor service on each occasion.
That said, the ambiance is lovely, and the dishes are good. However, during my most recent visit a week ago for my friend’s birthday, the server was extremely rude, giving everyone a lot of attitude and being overly pushy about ordering more drinks.
For a fine dining experience, I wouldn’t recommend this place overall.

I liked the food a lot here. One of the better Lebanese places I’ve been to for sure!y only complaint was that the portions were a little small. We got one of the tasting platters for 3 people and felt like it was on the smaller side for an entree. And defiantly quite pricey!
Service was really great, our server took really good care of us and even brought over a few wine tasters to make sure we enjoyed our meal and found a wine that paired well!
Overall , I’d go back again as the food was really good!

First experience at Nuba! My husband recommended it as he’s a vegetarian and I’m not usually in the area.
The spot was poppin on a Saturday evening - We were lucky to snag a bar spot without a reservation!
Nuba is excellent for its many options for vegetarians. My husband and I could enjoy sharing our entire meal together without me feeling sad or hungry for meat after.
Our server whipped up the best sangria I’ve ever had - hands down. Not too sweet, perfectly balanced. The jalapeño hummus was also one of the best I’ve ever had. The flavor was rich, spicy and paired excellent with our vegetarian platter. Despite some of the options on the platter not speaking to me on paper, I ended up loving every bit of it.

I booked Nuba to celebrate a birthday, I requested a special table and to write a message on the dessert plate, and they got it all! We loved the place, atmosphere and service. Food was superb too! We had the Halloumi and cauliflower (Nijab's sepcial) dishes for starters; chicken stuffed with zaatar and cumin beef kabab as main dishes, and all 4 were stars! We also had the Baklawa cheesecake for dessert and it was the perfect end to the visit, yummy and the sweetness is balanced! Nuba is highly recommended especially for celebrating a special occasion!

We ordered the “Taste of Minami” which is a $98/person set menu to try different variety of their dishes. Out the 7 courses I’d only recommend 4. For the price and quantity(very little) and especially the wait time of ~15 minutes per dish and took almost 2 hours for everything to come out. We’ve been to their sister restaurant Miku and have had both the lunch and dinner sets and comparing that to Minami’s dinner set it is very underwhelming to say the least. The quality of service also pales in comparison to Miku.

I was traveling from out of country when I came here. We picked this place from some online recommendations. Single handedly the best sushi restaurant I've ever been to. Wait staff was wonderful, food was absolutely on point, the drinks we had were equally fantastic. Everything was worth it's cost. I recommend this place for any date, birthday or any special occasion that you want a great dining experience.

I wouldn’t say it’s amazing, but definitely above average.
Interior is clean and modern, nothing really eye catching. Service is friendly, but not attentive enough. Overall food is good, savoury, a few dishes are great, but nothing really give me the wow.
Anyway, good spot to have a chill night with friends.

Really good stuff here! I don’t like the fishy after taste of eating seafood but surprisingly I had none of it eating the oysters and the lobster. The sliders were delicious! I ordered lobster poutine, it’s really tasty. All the portion sizes were quite big and filling. I tried their oysters and they’re indeed very fresh. Staff was also friendly and attentive, and the food came in fast. I highly recommend!

5 Stars – Exceptional Seafood Experience!
Rodney's Oyster House is a seafood lover's paradise! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a lively, welcoming atmosphere and the irresistible aroma of fresh seafood. The oysters are incredibly fresh and perfectly shucked – a must-try for anyone who loves the briny, crisp taste of the ocean. Their menu boasts an impressive selection of seafood, from succulent lobster to deliciously grilled prawns, all prepared to perfection.
The service was outstanding. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. The vibe is laid-back yet vibrant, making it the perfect spot for both casual gatherings and special occasions.
And let’s not forget the drinks! Their cocktail selection is fantastic, especially when paired with the oysters – I highly recommend the Caesar. Whether you’re a seasoned oyster connoisseur or trying them for the first time, Rodney’s makes sure you leave satisfied and craving more.
Highly recommended – I’ll definitely be returning!

I’ve been here before when I’m in town, and it’s always a must stop on my list.
Went in for happy hour, did not disappoint.
Ordered a Caesar to start, and if you like horseradish you’ll love theirs.
Menu wasn’t overly big, but still had a lot of options. We went for everything seafood related. Server had recos based on what we were looking for. Ordered a couple oysters to start, hot sauce selection was great. Then onto garlic shrimp, halibut tacos (both not pictured) as well as the crispy shrimp and sliders.
It was filling for two people, everything was very tasty. Definitely will be back :)

We also got the seafood pasta (scallops were cooked to perfection) but it wasn’t as good as the rest that we ordered - i didn’t love the sauce as much as i wanted to

The restaurant was packed on Friday night, which might be quite loud for some people that want calm and relaxing environment. We scouted places to have dinner this night, and the host was very helpful when we stopped in. He said it's a family-owned restaurant, and they had moved to this larger location. The clincher for us was that he mentioned live jazz music from 6pm to 9pm.
We arrived around 7pm. The same host was there. He took our jackets, complimentary. We were seated with a good view of the jazz duo. The atmosphere was elegant and peaceful. I loved it.
We had to try the seafood. I ordered the seafood platter and my wife had the seafood bouillabaisse. We had escargot Provencal as a starter. I'd pass on the escargot. It was okay but I'd probably go for the BC cheese plate if I could try again.
The seafood was very good. Surprisingly. My favorite was the pink fish. The bouillabaisse came with some bread for soaking. I'd choose that over the platter. It was almost the same food, except for the lobster. And the lobster was merely okay. Everything else was quite tasty.
A nice, lavish, night out. Great atmosphere.

I visited this location of Yales on a Saturday night, and it was a fantastic experience. Firstly, the location is excellent; it’s in a vibrant, youthful area with plenty of nearby attractions. The music and atmosphere were also great, and my friend and I enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed until closing time.
Additionally, the service was outstanding—definitely a 10/10! Our server, Kirsten, was incredibly friendly, offered excellent recommendations, and was very attentive to our needs. My friend and I ordered the Aperol Spritz tower on the happy hour menu, and I would highly recommend it. I will definitely be back!
