5 Star Rating I got the New York cheesecake and Tiramisu cheesecake and I loved them both. Also got an americano and a black coffee which were pretty good. The atmosphere is alright, it’s not super cozy or warm though.

4 Star Rating Went for a visit late in the evening for a cup of tea and a slice of cheesecake. Probably one of the best places you're going to get cheesecake. The only reason I took one star away in atmosphere is because the local talent that comes in to do some entertaining with some music on Friday evenings was just a little too loud for the size of the venue.

5 Star Rating Visiting Canada from England. My husband and I had an amazing time at Al Porto with amazing food. Wait staff were really attentive and friendly. The restaurant is located down a little road in central Vancouver. Have been to Italy several times and the pasta here is like something you would get anywhere in Italy. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

5 Star Rating Loved 2/3 things we ordered and I’m an incredibly picky eater. The salad and chicken were incredible, some of the best I’ve ever had. Pizza was just ok (in my opinion, I think my friend enjoyed it more), the staff (especially our waiter, Silva/Sixto) were friendly, and kind, making sure each part of the meal felt like a full fine dining experience. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you are in the Gastown area.

5 Star Rating We visited with a party of seven, including two kids, and made a reservation for weekday lunch. The restaurant efficiently seated us upon arrival, and the server/waitress was exceptionally kind. Opting for the lunch special, we were delighted with the fantastic offering that included a Caesar salad and soup and a choice of pasta/risotto or pizza. Every dish tasted amazing, and the entire family wanted to visit again. Worth the experience.

5 Star Rating This place is a must just for the reason of the amazing view. We chose one hour before the sunset and we were able to experience the restaurant with during sunset and by night and both views are stunning. The food is good however is a little pricey. Anyways, it’s worth the experience.

5 Star Rating We went here to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary. The whole experience was spectacular! Everyone was so polite and welcoming. Our server - Eddie was Fabulous, very knowledgeable about the menu and wines, he asked us what we liked and what we we looking for and gave us many options and advice. He truly made the whole experience special and his advice was so helpful. The views were spectacular with an Amazing Sunset. The special touches were special, we had an Anniversary card on our table and a special dessert on the house with a candle to celebrate our Anniversary. All the staff were so friendly. It was our first night in Vancouver for our Anniversary trip and so memorable. I can't imagine anyone not being able to have a fantastic experience here. This is one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Thank You xx 😘

5 Star Rating Haven't been here in maybe 20 years but it's a nice surprise to try again. The brunch menu was fair in price as the views and food in this area is incomparible. The salad I tried was fresh and tasted good. Dessert we tried was good the lava cake and they gave a special birthday treat too. The revolving was not fast at all and I didn't realize it was moving unless looking outside. Happy to have stopped by for lunch, the ride up to restaurant is free!

5 Star Rating Visitors to Vancouver- plan ahead and make a reservation. This is the best option for seeing the city from a truly unique perspective. The food is well prepared and the desserts are beautiful and taste fantastic. Be sitting down when you first look at the prices but know that you are paying for the spectacular views and the food is a good value when considering where you are sitting to eat it. The service was impeccable and the staff are very helpful in pointing out the different landmarks etc as you rotate around the full city views over the course of an hour. We were not rushed at all to finish and did a full 2 and half times around while enjoying the views. Special events like Christmas , New Year's and even the fireworks are an option as well but you definitely need to book well in advance. We were celebrating birthdays as this is the perfect spot for a special occasion for anyone living in Vancouver. Might try one of the event nights in the future as a good time was had by all. Thank you TOV for a memorable evening.

4 Star Rating Visitor from Toronto: We recently visited this restaurant on our family vacation in Vancouver , and while the overall experience was enjoyable, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The highlight was undoubtedly the breathtaking views of the city from above—watching the skyline and landmarks slowly rotate was truly spectacular. The atmosphere was elegant, and the service was attentive and professional. However, the food was somewhat underwhelming; it was passable but didn't quite match the high expectations set by the setting. Despite this, the stunning vistas make it a memorable outing, ideal for special occasions where the view is the main attraction.

5 Star Rating A small but mighty taco restaurant that focuses on quality food and service rather than vibes. The price was fair for the food, and the server was friendly enough. We got the tortilla soup, the 3 taco combos consisting of Baja, Carnitas, and Asada, and the chilaquiles. They were all fantastic and would recommend without hesitation. We finished off the meal with the churros which were hot and fresh out of the fryer. My only comment is that there isn't enough churros but that's probably a good thing for my health. Overall, if you're walking along Hastings, this is a place you have to check out!

5 Star Rating Every time I visit La Taqueria Pinche on Hastings, I can't help but feel so satisfied—there's just something about their tacos that hits the spot. The flavours, the texture of the shell, and the spicy sauce too…. I've been here many times and always go for the same 3-taco combo. My favorites? The chicken, shrimp, beef, and fish tacos—each one is packed with flavor. I usually pair them with a lager or a margarita, and it’s always the perfect match. They offer a great deal at $15.99 for 3 tacos during weekday lunch, and their happy hour from 2-5* makes it tempting to stop by. The vibe is bar hip and urban, which adds to the overall experience. I’ll definitely keep coming back whenever I'm craving tacos—it’s easily one of my top picks for the best tacos in Vancouver.

5 Star Rating Five stars hardly seem enough to capture the brilliance of this Vancouver gem. This is truly one of the city’s finest restaurants, a hidden treasure not yet discovered by many, offering not only exquisite food but also breathtaking views. The staff are exceptional—kind, poised, and endlessly attentive. They are always eager to share the story behind their beautifully crafted dishes and the high-quality ingredients they use. And let’s talk about the pastry chef—she’s a true artist! Her ability to blend flavors, colors, and textures results in desserts that are nothing short of extraordinary. I highly recommend trying 'The Apple,' a masterpiece in its own right. With a menu that changes every season, you can always count on a fresh, dynamic culinary experience that never grows old.

5 Star Rating What a delightful lunch experience, and yes, it’s a total experience that includes gorgeous views, delicious food and superb service. From the moment we were greeted by the hostess it was clear they strive for excellence and wonderful service. Our waiter knew the menu very well and gave great recommendations. I ordered the halibut which was excellent and my wife loved her chicken dish. We ended the meal with a dessert that was presented in a whimsical way, and tastes as delicious as it looked. An absolute wonderful dining experience and we would highly recommend.

5 Star Rating I have never heard of Five Sails Restaurant before. This place was recommended by a friend. We went for high tea here. I normally try to avoid high tea as I don't find the food very exciting. HOWEVER! This was a very memorable experience from the time I got seated to the very end. Jesse, attended our table. He provided excellent, excellent, service. He was so attentive and detailed throughout our time there. Even though we went for high tea, he gave us fine dining treatment! For example, when we stepped away from our seat, he re-folded our table napkins neatly. For me, these things catches my attention. He was friendly, funny, yet professional. Ask to be in his section! Jason, the GM, came over to greet our table as well. He was dressed in a themed attire for the high tea. We were also greeted by Alex, the culinary chef. He won gold in a culinary competition, and I am not surprised after tasting the high tea menu. This month's high tea theme is Versailles. From the menu, center piece, gold flaked pillars, and having the GM in the attire of that time was so fitting for the theme. The food! So detailed and pretty! I really didn't want to eat certain things! I do recommend to try the high tea here. After this experience, I will go back and try their dinner menu.

5 Star Rating Pretty nice vibes here albeit a bit expensive. Hence why I’d suggest happy hour. It’s a decent deal and there’s some items you can’t really get at other places like a scotch egg. Was my first time trying one and I loved it. The tots were super yummy too. Service was great so I can’t complain but I definitely could if I didn’t go at happy hour. Prices seemed a bit steep for what you get.

The Pourhouse burger was juicy and delicious as well, we liked how the center was just mildly medium rare which made the burger juicier. 3 Star Rating Mink Chocolates Cafe is located in a great location right near the waterfront. They serve a variety of chocolate beverages as well as they have chocolates for purchase. It took a while for me to order my drink because the ladies in front of me were picking eating chocolates and there was only one man working behind the counter. I ordered the iced chocolate and sat outside to drink it. The iced chocolate was very average, more milk than chocolate. It was more of a milk shake than an iced chocolate and it was quite disappointing. There are seatings both within and outside of the cafe.

3 Star Rating Patio was fantastic. Brussels sprouts delicious. Service staff working hard and management trying to help. The location is great too. Normally this would be my standard 5 stars. Only problem was we sat for 10-15 min on patio before we were noticed (understandably cuz staff was busy) but when the order was placed happy hour prices weren’t honored. Missed placing the order by minutes but we were actually there. We still tipped 20% and mostly happy. Just not 5-star “we’re glad you’re here, thanks for your patience happy”. Had more acknowledgement of the minutes to pricing been acknowledged or the prices been honored for first round, we would have stayed ordering more. Anyway, we will be back and do our recommend it for the people watching patio location alone.
