I got to try 2 different types of Japadog during my vacation in Vancouver, They were both quite good. My only regret is that I couldn't try more varieties. Okonomi was my favourite and they had a Vegan option as well which was nice.

The hot dogs were decent, but nothing extraordinary. One of them lacked flavor, which might have been due to the bread not being as fluffy or bouncy as expected. The service was okay, though the food took a bit longer to come out than I would have liked.

A friend told me he drove 3 hours from Seattle to get this. After eating one I finally get why. The mayo is paired with a lean sausage causing it to actually be fairly balanced in terms of fat vs lean content. It's a well constructed hot dog.

When traveling, we reserve an extra meal for the end of the evening...after dinner, after dessert, after the late night cocktail...I'm not sure what it's called, but in Canada it often means "vegetarian hot dog" because the nation is rich with they-hardly-ever-close hot dog places, always with a veggie dog option. That was our experience in cities in the east of Candada, and to our delight, here in Vancouver where Japadog services up a zillion different unique Japanese hot dog combinations, with a veggie dog ready to put in place, and, for heaven's sake, they're open until 3am.
We were in Vancouver for 3 nights, and, sure enough, we went to Japadog 3 times. If you're there before 10pm you can sit in their small dining area. After 10 you order at the street window and there are a couple of stone bench/planter areas right in front you can park yourself.
They have a separate vegetarian menu which is not fully on display in the restaurant, but IS available when you use their electronic ordering tablet (and viewable on their website.) That threw us off a little on our first visit when we knew we had seen the veggie options on the website, but it was before 10 and we were ordering from a live person who only mentioned 2 different options. (There are a lot more than 2!) No matter, over the course of our three nights we tried the Veggie Croquette (made with fried potatoes), the Veggie Oroshi, and the Veggie Terimayo (With no mayo). All looked unique and tasted good and served our late-night extra-meal stomach reserved for just such occasions.
The fact that it was almost across the street from our hotel was a bonus. (Or a disaster depending on how you look at it.) Please, Japadog...you have many locations...what would it take for you to open up just one more here in Newhall, California, and also be open until 3am...pretty please?

My favorite steak house. It perfectly captures the essence of a city that never sleeps. The atmosphere is dark and moody, with a touch of elegance that makes you feel like you've stepped into a noir film. The decor is a blend of industrial chic and classic sophistication, with dim lighting and plush seating. The steaks are nothing short of spectacular. I ordered a Chicago-style prime steak, and it was cooked to perfection—juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor. The live music was great as well.

First time going to Gotham and we loved it!
I need to start by thanking Cindy. She was outstanding, patiently guiding us to the best experience possible. Knowledgeable about every item, truthful about portions served and helped us to enjoy with such a calm, friendly and warm attitude. Simply the best!!
The food... absolutely from heaven! I don't think I have ever eaten such a delicious meal, from drinks to dessert. We shared a bone in steak with some extras and for dessert a Key Lime Pie and Ice Cream Sunday.
We already have plans to repeat soon, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Gotham was simply incredible, I cannot recommend enough!

We were recently in the lounge to catch the end of their social hour before heading to a concert nearby and it was outstanding! Won, our amazing bartender gave the most wonderful service!! Great recommendations while also providing laughs and charm! We sat at the bar and had such a great time! The food and drinks came quickly and were delicious!! We had oysters and champagne, the feature cocktail as well as the garlic shrimp and steak sandwich. I’ve been a few times and have never been disappointed. Will definitely return! Always great service and food! Won, thank you so much for the fantastic experience!! You are an absolute delight! What a great team!

Gotham Steakhouse & Bar is a gem nestled in the heart of downtown Vancouver, BC, offering a remarkable dining experience. The location itself is superb, easily accessible from various points within the downtown area, making it a convenient choice for locals and visitors alike.
The outdoor area is where Gotham truly shines. It’s a cozy, inviting space with a relaxed ambiance, enhanced by the warmth of the outdoor chimney fireplaces. These features add a classy, upscale touch, making it an ideal spot for both intimate dinners and casual gatherings.
As for the food, Gotham delivers on its promise of extraordinary dining. We opted for the New York steak paired with incredibly creamy mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked to perfection, with each bite melting in your mouth a testament to the quality and skill behind this steak.
The service further elevates the experience. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout our meal. Their friendly demeanor and professionalism made us feel right at home.
P.S try the Key Lim pie! Blowwww!!

I love how they offer vegan options!! Their Portobello mushroom fries, Mediterranean pasta and side of Field mushrooms are delicious, and served in big portions which is good bc I’m a big eater!
In addition, they also have a vegan sorbet that looks and tastes so yummy! Me and my boyfriend had an amazing time dining here and will definitely come back. The experience was unforgettable, I highly recommend Gotham, especially if you are a vegan looking for fine dining restaurants :)

Came here for the New Year’s Eve dinner. Our favorite was the snack and dessert. Everything was at excellent temps which didn’t go unnoticed. Especially with the full dinning room. We enjoyed our time here and already have recommended others to pop by. We both didn’t care for the main but that was probably personal preference. The staff were attentive and helpful. They brought a DJ in this year and that was a great way to ring in the new year!

Came here for a nice dinner and overall everything was ok but not great. I had higher expectations for a fine dinning establishment. I ordered a good amount of appetizers and mains however, we left feeling less than satisfied. Ordered the sable fish and salmon. I felt the portion size for both items were on the smaller size. The salmon was also little bit dry. The burrata and the goat cheese appetizers were both very good. I highly recommend both items.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hawksworth yesterday. My cousin & Aunt flew in from Philippines & I wanted to show them upscale Vancouver dining, so I chose Hawksworth.
Food was DELICIOUS. Fair portion sizes, delicious taste and presentation. Very reasonable prices for the quality. I highly recommend the duck confit in dukkah spice it was splendid. Excellent wine menu as well.
Atmosphere: B-E-A-U-TIFUL. Their crystal chandelier was decorated in Christmas ornaments for the holidays, lovely washrooms, beautiful bar and the staff all dress sharp. Being in the Hotel Georgia, it really reminds you of the Roaring 20's, but with a modern twist.
Service: at first we were delighted by the service, then disappointed, but they redeemed themselves phenomenally. We originally sat at the bar (no seats in dining) but as everyone finished their meals we got moved to the dining room. After our first course, it took 40 mins and still no food. It turns out they didn't even send it to the kitchen, due to miscommunication. Along with a few other mishaps (it happens), my diabetic mother was getting quite hangry due to her low blood sugar.
Our server Roman was extremely apologetic and management came out to remedy the situation. The care that they took to acknowledge their mistakes speaks volumes to their customer service. Mishaps are bound to happen but they made every possible effort to fix their errors and were professional, friendly and really showed they cared.
I will be sure to return because of how well they handled the situation, and how delicious and beautiful the food and atmosphere was.

Came here on a saturday night at 5:30, place was pretty crowded already especially with the bar area having happy hour guests.
We opted for the tasting menu. Everything tasted great, food were fresh and flavours were done very well. Shoutout to the desserts, they were simply phenomenal. However the portions are on the smaller side, with only a few bites for each course at its decently high price point, we left craving for more.
The service and environment was a little disappointing. Some, not all, servers made some careless mistakes, and did not feel entirely welcoming for such a fine establishment. Explanations of the dishes could be done better, and more care and finesse would make the whole dining experience a lot better.
Overall, the whole experience didn't quite hit the mark for our expectation for a fine dining experience, but the food was incredible. Depending who you get for service, the time of day, and where you are seated, your mileage may vary.
TLDR; Amazing food, smaller portions for tasting menu, highly varied service and dining environment.

Dropped by to try their lunch set menu which seemed like a pretty good price for 3 courses at this well-known restaurant.
The salmon gravlax was actually my favorite dish, a really light and fresh appetizer with a delicious creamy sauce.
The duroc pork was good; there wasn’t anything particularly wrong with it other than a portion of the pork tasting slightly dry, but I suppose I was expecting a bit more from the reputation that this restaurant has. Again, it was good, but it didn’t do anything out of the ordinary that may set it apart from another restaurant in my opinion.
The ice cream and bread pudding was good in terms of the ice cream, which was very tasty and I would definitely enjoy a large bowl on its own. The bread pudding however tasted cold and “gummy” in texture, which I didn’t particularly enjoy. I haven’t had many bread puddings however so maybe this is how it’s supposed to taste, but personally I wouldn’t order this bread pudding again.
I think that the lunch set menu was good for the price point, and I’ve heard that the lunch set menu rotates, so depending on the change in selection, I might be interested in giving it another try in the future. Overall however, I’d likely be more interested in returning to their sister restaurant, Nightingale, as I’ve been there several times and enjoyed many of the different options each time.

It was a nice meal
First, service was great. Everything is well attended. Very good services
Atmosphere was pretty much a steakhouse high end type
Most tables are celebrating birthday indeed and nice for dating
Food
Ok, the cheese bread is a must try
The salad was also very very good
The Wellington steak, well, very nicely cooked
Just I don’t feel too comfortable with it as it looks too rare inside to me. However, the beef texture and taste is very top quality
Last is dessert which is perfect
I love the whole thing, just it won’t let me give a 5.
Just not the right 5, may be 4.5 star?
A bit more detailed on whole services including front desk greeting, the table is fully ready meaning the tools, folk knife etc is right position and symmetric. Don’t let customer feels it’s a rush putting together at start.
But I would still highly recommended

i’ve been here a couple times with my family and the food is consistently high quality and delicious. my favourite thing on the menu is definitely the cheese toast, it’s so soft, warm, CHEESY, and indulgent. i definitely recommend getting it if you come, it’s the perfect way to start your meal. the beef wellington is also fantastic, it’s really well cooked and the crust was so buttery and flaky. the asparagus was soft and paired really well with the wellington. service was also great, as expected from a restaurant like this. this is a great restaurant to eat at if you’re celebrating something or looking for a formal night out !

After living in downtown for more than a decade I decided to have my first birthday with my wife and this old but gold steak house. There are traditions and finesse dripping down from its old British deemed walls. The menu is well put and expensive. Our waiter was fun and politely opinionated with our choices and made us feel comfortable although we where the last customers. A memorial night and delicious new york steak! 🥩

Hey there! So, my husband and I have birthdays in the same month, and we thought, why not celebrate in style? I came across this super cool restaurant, and the place looked like it had such great spots for picture-perfect memories! I really wanted a table by the wall – you know, the one with those iconic frames that everyone wants to snap a selfie in front of. Sadly, we had to wait about 30 minutes to get it, but let me tell you – it was worth the wait!...
Now, my husband ordered the prime rib, which was apparently more expensive because, you know, it's prime meet. And it was yum! And get this – our waiter was so attentive! We asked for our steaks to be medium-well or well-done, and he explained how juicy they'd be and made sure we knew what to expect. He even shared a bit of history about the place, saying it was one of the few restaurants that still cooked with charcoal. Others apparently couldn't for safety reasons, but this place had renovated and got the green light to keep that old-school charm alive. How neat is that?
The whole experience was fantastic – I liked how they prepared the salad and dessert right in front of us! You can check out the videos I posted. If you're living in Vancouver or just visiting, I'd say definitely give this place a try at least once. It's a unique experience, for sure! The ambience, the polite waiters, and the visible kitchen really make it stand out. And hey, they even had a cheese birthday appetizer!
Overall, I'd rate it maybe a 9 out of 10. The food was great, but it wasn't like the best meal I've ever had, you know? It’s good to go there once, in my view. But I can't deny that it was a memorable experience, especially with our awesome waiter, Mr. Blair. He was so friendly and made our night truly special. Happy birthday to us, indeed! 🥳

Good location very close to the mall and the train station. The dining room is upstairs, pretty steep stairs. It's very nice to sit up there. Much better than the lounge downstairs, unsure if it's accessible by a wheelchair as I did not see an elevator. The washroom is very nice and clean. The bread and the vegan butter to start! Probably the highlight of the meal! No dairy free or gluten-free dessert options. Minimal vegetarian options, but makes sense considering it as a steakhouse. The mac & cheese was OK nothing to write home about. The steak initially came overcooked and then undercooked, but I am not complaining as they did take it off the bill. Good location for a date night music was not too loud and pretty intimate experience. The service was very attentive and quick. Good location for a birthday party or celebration. They do have large tables that can accommodate big groups with dedicated servers.

I took a friend out for his birthday back in the fall and he chose this restaurant as it was close to the office.
It was not busy on a Friday lunch time. We were seated on the second floor, there was lots of space.
Food was great. I really enjoyed the complimentary bread. Our server was nice and we had a good conversation with her.
Prices were not bad for a birthday lunch.

Booked a 24 reso for my birthday. Mick and the rest of the front of house were awesome! Food was great and service was phenomenal. The house special 18oz aged bone-in strip was amazing!
I ended up having a party of 26 and Mick was happy to pull a table over, no questions asked. Would recommend for birthdays, the free Billie miner pie is the cherry on top. Great job Keg!

This restaurant is a perfect choice for a family dinner. The décor is modern, and the staff is super friendly—they even offer you champagne when you arrive! 🥂 The menu has a wide variety of options to choose from. We ordered the Mediterranean Bowl, Katsu Chicken Salad, Herb Crush Salmon, and the JOEY Classic Steak.
The food was delicious; however, the portions for the steak and salmon were quite small considering the price. For dessert, we had the cheesecake and apple tart with maple ice cream, both of which were a sweet ending to the meal! 🍰🍎🍨

We came 2 nights in a row because the food was so delicious!
The roasted corn guacamole is spectacular! Start here but it’s so good everyone may want their own!!
I ordered the blackened chicken. I have celiac so frequently have an issue finding good whole meals. They kindly swapped the warm potato salad for mashed potatoes (so good!!)
Hubby got the butter chicken one night and a burger with truffle fries the second night. He really enjoyed the truffle fries!!
All the entrees were delicious… just pointing out some highlights. We did not try any of the streaks which would definitely change the budget for dinner here.
Diner beware: we didn’t even order the 3rd refills on soda. Imagine our surprise when the bill came with charges for 6 cokes totaling $30. Not cans or bottles, just fountain drinks. Wow.

Drove to the Met for dinner with someone staying in the hotel. There’s no one on parking duty at 5 pm, so we had to wait a while to get someone from front desk to help.
Happy Hour is 3-6 pm, but the plates were only $1 cheaper than the appetizer menu, so doesn’t really seem worth it. They also advertised $6 happy hour beer but charged us $7 for some reason.
Had the crispy Taiwanese chicken and pork belly as an appetizer. The Taiwanese chicken was very tasty, but you can’t really have bad Taiwanese chicken. Could’ve passed on the pork belly. A bit tart for me.
I had the burger and it was decent. It came with very tasty and crispy fries. Partner had the Calabrian pizza, which was very tasty too.
For dessert, I had the carrot cake, which was very good. It came with ginger ice cream, which gave it a nice kick.
Fine experience, they have 50% off wine on Sundays, which is nice. Probably won’t return since I can get equally good food elsewhere without taking a trip downtown. If you live downtown, worth a visit, as prices are decent for good quality food.

Had a birthday lunch for my partner here on a weekday afternoon. The place wasn't busy at all so it was quiet and it was very easy to get seated and receive help from the waitstaff throughout our lunch. The space itself is very clean and well-maintained, and you can tell the employees at Diva care a lot about working there. The ambience is, admittedly, not bad but also not what I would mention first to promote the restaurant, but its been updated just enough to be considered modern.
The food is however is simple but very good. We ordered truffle fries and a Caesar salad to share, and fish tacos and the grilled cheese with tomato soup lunch special as our mains. All the dishes were in very large portions and very sharable, enough that we took leftovers home. The Americano I ordered was also really good. Downside is that their menu has hotel/tourist pricing, so all the dishes are rather expensive. That said, portion sizes are VERY generous so sharing is totally possible if you decide to try it out.
The service we received from Monika was the highlight of our dining experience. She was so genuinely friendly, professional, yet still very approachable, and she made our time there very pleasant. She was helpful about dishes being sharable and everything we ordered came fast and hot. Then at the end she brought out a delicious chocolate fudge and vanilla ice cream dessert for my partner without even being asked. (I had indicated on OpenTable that our reservation was for a birthday.) What a great, unexpected way to end our meal!
So while Diva at the Met was a worthwhile trip, big thanks go to Monika for making my partner's birthday so memorable.

Came here for happy hour drinks, and dinner. The diva burger was very flavourful, juicy, and fries were delicious. Seafood linguine was underwhelming. It was Tuesday and the server forgot about the 50% off on the 2nd entree deal. They did rectify the situation in the end.

Stumbled upon the Diva on day trip to Vancouver. Josh was the best mixologist I've had in years. Absolutely fantastic experience, considering staying at this hotel next time just to be near the restaurant.
