We had dinner on New Year's Eve here.the restaurant was extremely busy. While the food and service were decent, they didn’t quite meet the expectations set by the reviews I had read beforehand. The semolina flatbread starter was too salty for my taste, though the steak was enjoyable. My husband felt that while the individual components of his main dish were good, they didn’t come together as a cohesive dish. Given how busy it was, the servers didn’t check on our table as frequently, which may have been understandable under the circumstances. Overall, for a New Year's Eve reservation, we were hoping for something a bit more special. We also chose not to order any dessert.

This has been a staple in Vancouver and a solid dining spot for years. I came here recently to try their set menu that was around in the summer and it did not disappoint. For the price point you get quite a lot of food and a great dining experience.
They deliver on the food, it’s properly cooked and flavoured, the service is top notch, and their cocktails are delicious. Will definitely look forward to another visit in the future.

We decided to try out Chambar for their Dine Out Vancouver 2025 menu. Absolutely spectacular! The food was to die for, cozy atmosphere, and excellent service. A definite ‘Must Go Back’!

Recently enjoyed the Sunday brunch with a few friends. The DIY mimosas were a big hit; the orange juice was super fresh and delicious.
Mussels are definitely one of their best dishes. I had a dairy free fricassée and it was absolutely top notch. No bad dishes on the menu, and they have among the best wine menus in the city.
Special occasion, or just a quick light meal. You can’t go wrong here.

Came for the summer series three course tasting menu and between three of us we sampled all six of the options. To start the confit albacore tuna with peach salad was artfully presented but nothing special taste-wise. If I had paid $27 for this dish off the regular menu I would have been disappointed. The grilled radicchio and fennel salad on the other hand was quite impactful and fully enjoyed.
The pan seared Arctic Char with salt cod brandade main course was excellent and the highlight of the meal. Presentation was picture perfect and the good sized portion of fish was perfectly cooked. The brandade was delicious and something I had never tasted before. My son had the game hen three ways and wasn't impressed, finding the portion to be too small and the hen to be on the dry side.
The chocolate burnt basque cheesecake and BC berry pavlova for dessert were both very good and again very nicely presented. Overall the dinner was very good and very good value for the $49 price.

It's my first time at any Moxies . First impressions are great. Clean nice setup. Customer service was excellent both times. Food proportion is worth the price. The flavors all blend perfectly. Well done to the chef's. Great tasting coffee. I loved the little creamer they give you with your coffee. Loved the setup.

This was our first visit to Vancouver! Before we arrived I made a reservation at Moxies for lunch.
Little did I know the absolute pleasantries to follow! Our servers name was Dawson and he was a spectacular delight! While the food here was amazing, the true star of this establishment is Dawson. Knowledgeable, helpful, kind and SO fun! Come for the drinks, stay for Dawson! ♥️

First time here was a great experience. Nice atmosphere and window views, wonderful service from Kurtis, menu has a great selection of food, the burgers are really good, as well as the prawn laksa curry and chipotle mango chicken, some nice gluten free options! I hope one day they can have a gluten conscious option for the Chicken Madeira Rigatoni because it’s the best pasta of all time. They also have happy hour on a Friday night! Can’t wait to come back!

The atmosphere was amazing, the service was top notch. Our server was so friendly and kind! The GM took time out to check on tables and make sure everything was running smoothly. Huge country concert and it was packed and didn’t seem rushed or pushy. Would 100% be back again ! Food and drink hit the spot!
Would highly recommend!!!

A casual Italian restaurant - great for groups and a cosy dinner. We came for a birthday party, and we were pleasantly surprised by the food and experience. Everything was decent - well portioned and reasonably priced, especially for downtown. We'd all come back.
Great for large groups and nice family dinners for all ages.

Overall a really great experience. The food was a bit pricy for the quantity. And the quantity also seemed a bit less. Although the size the dishes were very filling. The service was amazing 👏 and our server was so kind. The ambience was pretty nice as the restaurant itself is part of a 5 star hotel but it was a tiny bit too dim. Would definitely recommend as an Italian restaurant with family. 👍

Great experience at Frankie's. Our server was quick and friendly. The food and wine was good. We felt that the serving sizes were good for the price. It wasn't too busy but we went on a Monday night.

Love Frankie’s!!! We desperately needed an escape from the USA for a minute and when we called to make reservations and made jokes about *gestures broadly* they not only laughed commiseratively with us, they made us feel extra welcomed and comfortable when we arrived. They saved a cozy booth table for my BF and I, checked often, and AND, have vegan options! We had the vegan spaghetti bolognese and it was incredible. My BF finished his before I got through a third of mine! Strongly recommend this Frankie’s for their class, kindness, delicious food, and elegant warming atmosphere. (Shared a picture which isn’t the prettiest but it’s far prettier than this!)

Looks like a hidden gem close to the train station Stadium-Chinatown! We saw the line up close by for the other restaurant for brunch and decided to skip it. The Dirty Apron was quiet, no cooking class going on, but the café side had a few customers. We ordered the BLT and the breakfast sandwich with smoked salmon, both were fantastic! Balanced, simple but freshly made with quality ingredients. I loved the little touch of lemon zest on the cheese cream, pairs perfectly with the smoked salmon, crunchy red onion, runny egg and creamy avocado. Prices are fair for the sandwiches. Grocery and frozen items seem to be fancy, on the more expensive side. I wish for a combo or bigger meal. We saw they have a delicatessen at the airport!

Probably the most tasty and hence one of the best food we had in our entire 4 weeks in Canada!
We had the Ancho Chili Roast Beef vegetarian (you have to try this!), the grilled Hummus & Avocado Sandwich, the Japanese Potato Salad (day offer. great taste!), a smoothie, cappuccino, tea and coffee.
The service and staff was so nice and were looking greatly after us.
This place has a cooking class too next door and also it offers self-made food (in the fridge) and some other food items you can purchase.
Prices were very fair and we will definitely recommend anyone coming to Vancouver to eat here and enjoy!

It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth it for a special occasion. The experience is both educational and delicious. I preferred it when it was more intimate during COVID, but the long table setup works well too. I've enjoyed most of the fish classes, as our family follows a pescatarian diet. I wish there were more classes focusing exclusively on fish, but I hope they add more in the future. Overall, it's a great experience, and I'm looking forward to more classes.

Hadn't been there since I bought a sandwich and a copy of David Chang's "Lucky Peach" magazine there. The counter girl was rude then...nothing has changed now.
Sandwich price is ok, taste was lame. Prosciutto & Brie sandwich tasted no better than one you might toss together yourself at home except skimp on the toppings.

Some of the best sushi available at a great price point. They have really good specials for dine-in and also 10% off for take out and online orders. I have dined in and ordered out, and received the same quality each time.
The rice is flavoured well, the spicy sushi options have amazing flavour and sauces combind with the fish, and the special rolls are delicious as well.
The salmon sushi is sockeye, so don't expect anything too fatty!

Roll combo A is good for your money. and taste good, too. I love their spider roll. big size of soft shell crab. food taste is very tasty, Once again, I think this is one of the best sushi places in Vancouver, very highly recommended. The only downside is that the table is a bit sticky. That's the only ruining my dining experience. Service is okay. I wish they put the water jar orbtea pot in the table.

We were in the area before a concert at Roger's arena and hesitated to go in because, from the outside, it didn't look very promising. We had read the good reviews and went in anyway. The place is small but the atmosphere inside is cozy. We ordered a few different rolls, which were all nicely presented and fresh. I loved the rolls came with extra greens and the sauces were very good. The food took a little long to arrive but the servers were very nice and checked on us. Prices were reasonable too!

It’s a low key hidden gem spot for sushi. I really love their Aburi (seared) sushi. The salmon, tuna, and scallop tasted so fresh, in my opinion even better than some other high-end fancy sushi restaurants in the area.
Will definitely visit again when I’m in Vancouver next time.
Y Z - 4 months ago
The value is amazing. On their specials you might spend $5 more compared to your average fast food order but you get a freshly made quality meal that doesn't leave you lethargic.
We got the special in the photo and added a sushi roll. We couldn't finish everything so we had take home enough for a nice late night snack.

I’ve been eating pretty regularly at this location for a while now. The pizzas great and everyone is always super friendly. The other day however, a worker I recognized named Shub took my order and when I asked for sauce he asked my name. Without me asking or anything, he writes my name on the pizza in sauce, and even put a little crown. I tried to tip him $5, but he took it out of the tip jar and told me that my business was enough. So excellent service, excellent food, you can definitely expect me to be coming back a lot. Thank you Shub!

The first time I stopped by this location after work, it was just because I was super hungry for a slice- and now, I stop by every single time specifically because it’s such an absolute pleasure!🫶🏼 I finish work at odd hours in hospitality, and no matter the hour- the pizza is hot and fresh. The SERVICE is unparalleled, every staff member has always been nothing short of exceptional- so friendly, so helpful, and (clearly) going the extra mile, even just for a slice❤️ normally I’d take a slice away to eat- but this is the only place I actually enjoy taking a load off and sitting down for a while. The atmosphere is great, awesome music, great staff, super clean and pleasant. I highly recommend anyone in the area to make this location your go-to for pizza! 🍕 🙏🏼🙌🏼

This was some of the best late-night pizza we had when visiting Vancouver. If there was a Toronto location, I would be a regular. What truly made the experience special was the amazing service provided by Shubh. We visited this location twice, and he remembered all our orders. Next time we are in town, we will definitely be returning for both the pizza and the service provided by Shubh.

We had such a great experience here. The waitress was very sweet and friendly and gave us lots of great tips for checking out the surrounding area. The food was excellent. We had the Najibs special (roasted cauliflower) and the falafel plate. Both came with pita bread, hummus and a salad. Loved the comfortable seating area as well. We will definitely be coming back.

Came here for a Sunday night Lebanese dinner. Although we didn't have reservations, they were able to accommodate us. It wasn't busy upon arrival, but quickly filled up, so I do recommend reservations.
Atmosphere was both cozy and intimate. Service was extremely friendly. They took the time to explain the menu and make some recommendations on the portion sizes. Dishes are meant to be shared, so it's best to order several dishes. Food and flavors were amazing. Dishes came out as they were ready and each was plated nicely.
I'd recommend this place for authentic Lebanese food or just a nice dinner out.

Cozy dim atmosphere. We sat in the “lounge” section and it was a comfy spot. We were three people and we ordered just enough to fill our tummies.
Labneh & Honey Man’oushe was delicious and easy to eat. Sort of like a pizza. Like all the things we tasted tonight: tasty.
Chicken Shish Tawook was good but not as yummy as the Lamb Kafta. We all agreed the lamb was superb.
Najib’s Special was done very nicely. We didn’t all agree and one of us didn’t think it was that special.
The Feast of Dips was amazing. Each dip had its own flavour and was so interesting. I kept going around the circle of dips and being excited to return! My favourite was the Mama Dallou’ah.
Excellent food. Cozy surroundings. Would definitely come back and try more dishes!

Nuba came highly recommended from a few locals and it did not disappoint. Service was great from the moment we arrived and they were very accommodating with my wife’s service animal/guide dog. Each dish was great; very creative, flavorful, and unique. Try the homemade Ginger Beer.

Just. Do. It. We stumbled upon Nuba by chance and we're stoked we did. Fulya was an amazing host and recommended we tried the jalapeno hummus and it did not disappoint. The lamb shank and couscous, cabbage rolls and fattoush salad were all amazing. Highly recommend this place! Great efficient service, food on your table quickly! Just. Do. It.

I recently visited this place and had an amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious – I tried the porchetta and buffalo chicken, and both were bursting with flavor. Super tasty and cooked to perfection.
The atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable, making it a perfect spot to unwind. The staff was welcoming and friendly, adding to the overall positive vibe. My only suggestion would be that the portions could be a bit bigger, but overall, it was a great dining experience. Highly recommended!

Great food, great atmosphere. The sandwich was made to perfection and the quality was amazing. It’s in a very accessible location close to Gastown. The staff were very friendly. There is a bathroom available. There was no shortage of seating when we were there. Come here if you’re looking for a really enjoyable, healthy lunch. Felt great after!

Everything was perfect, but the only problem was the portion of the sandwich; it was small, and there wasn't enough to fully experience the taste of this wonderful creation.

This is the original location of Meat and Bread. When I am away from Vancouver I always crave that most incredible porcetta ever.
One tip, always ask for extra cracklings. This will elevate your sandwich experience 200xxx ! Lol.
If you are on a no carb diet day, you can actually order it just porchetta meat only. It is called porchetta bowl.

Haven’t tried many sandwich shops in Vancouver so I don’t have much to compare this to, but I dropped in one afternoon for lunch because it was close by to an appointment. We had a pulled pork sandwich and buffalo chicken sandwich. Sandwiches were good, lots of filling and meat wasn’t dry. I wish the bread was toasted(?) or toasted more if it was. But otherwise it’s a nice little place for a quick and easy lunch.

Cozy local spot with great cheesecakes! We got the matcha white chocolate cheesecake. This place seems to sell everything from lobster seafood bisque to spiked bubble tea. I found Charisma looking on google maps for a place for a late snack or drink. I am very glad to have found this place and support local small business! The staff was very kind, he said it's family-run and he works looong hours. I wish them to have more business. I tried there Award-winning apple cheesecake and it was indeed delicious!! The back of the restaurant can be booked for events, looks nice for gathering. Quiet at night when we went, it felt comfy with the banquet sittings. Look for their deals such as happy hours drinks and snacks.

If you’re looking for a healthy and light breakfast or brunch but don’t feel like cooking, this is a great spot to consider. The food is pre-made, which is why I didn’t give it 5 stars — I prefer meals prepared fresh upon ordering. However, it’s still a solid option in the area, and I might return for another quick meal solution.
