4 Star Rating I love this location of Old Spaghetti Factory. Food is reasonably price because each main dish came with soup or salad, tea or coffee, and dessert. Service was always pleasant. I think they have enough service staff which makes service fast. The restaurant is always full of customers, it is recommended to make a reservation. Area is spacious and there are several parking options nearby. Excellent station because it is near the New Westminster Skytrain station.

5 Star Rating If you like the vintage ambience, you will not disappointed. All the decorations, the train, lighting, antique tables and chairs are so attractive. The food are much better than what we expected. All the meals are all inclusive. One dish includes a warm medium bread with garlic butter, soup or salad, tea or coffee and ice-cream in one very reasonable price. The prices are really reasonable for the food quality. The streamed one pound mussel is only $10.95 and the quality and portion are good. All the food come out fresh and hot. Our server is friendly and helpful. They also offer happy hour. The prices are more reasonable too!

5 Star Rating High on a hill in New West is a very prominent beige, brick and green building, home to The Old Spaghetti Factory, a family friendly restaurant famous for their "it's all included" slogan. I've been eating here for years and the food has remained relatively the same throughout. Pasta is their mainstay and they have heaps of it paired with a litany of sauces. Appetizers aplenty and drinks galore round out a very robust menu so there is no way that you will leave hungry. As if that wasn't enough incentive to visit, I can vouch for the astounding efficiency of the servers. Literally just as soon as you place your order, that's how fast your meal is delivered. A quick succession of drinks, followed by your soup or salad and then very shortly afterwards, your main meal. And of course, the most important thing: The food is filling and delicious, and the prices are by far some of the cheapest around. In an age where price gouging has become the norm, it is so refreshing to see that some places aren't out for your money, and instead are more concerned with customer satisfaction. I assure you, the experience at Old Spaghetti Factory will never get "old".

4 Star Rating The Old Spaghetti Factory consistently delivers, and their new West location is no exception. We adored the warm atmosphere and were impressed by the excellent value offered by their All-Inclusive meal options. However, the real steals were the succulent mussels for under $11 and the half-liter of house wine for under $14 – the perfect finishing touches to an already outstanding dining experience!

5 Star Rating We showed up at noon and were greeted with a friendly smile and a "welcome, how are you 2 doing today. " We were seated and given menus, asked what we wanted to drink and left to figure out which yummy burger to eat. There are so many great ones, sometimes it is hard to decide. I ended up getting the Hawaiian burger w/wedges and the wife got the Greek God burger w/loaded wedges which has Cheese and bacon added. I also got the gravy that comes on a stand with a candle underneath to keep it warm. Great Food, Great Service and Great Atmosphere. I have been going there for about 35 years. Everyone should try this place at least once.

3 Star Rating We got quite a few recommendations from people around and even google reviews were good. So we went here for the B’day celebration and ordered three Burgers and two free flow coffees. Nice ambiance, nice decor, loads of photo collages of previous customers, and we liked it. Hostess told us we have options for sides: Wedges, Salad, or Onion rings. She did not mention that Onion rings would come for extra price. This came as a shock to us when we saw the receipt later. Favorites of the day on the board were super expensive. Our burger plate looked beautiful. Crispy potato wedges, but they were cut a little too thick. So, that was a bummer. Burger patty was roasted well but it had that meat smell and also was bland with the meat’ish taste. Something has to be figured out that the patties are flavorful and doesn’t have that raw’ish meat taste & smell. We had to add more and more ketchup and sauce to make it flavorful. This experience did not match with the recommendations and hype we got about this restaurant before our first visit. Just to be clear, we have been to more than 15 countries and have tasted good burgers. We know how a good burger should taste like. If there’s a raw’ish meat smell and taste in the patty, then it needs improvement. I hope cooks will pay attention to this constructive feedback. Maybe we’ll return in the future, but not sure if we’d be willing to pay the high price. Our kids got candies while going out, so that was nice!

2 Star Rating Had a sloppy joes with fries and a coconut mango milk tea. Sloppy joes was not sloppy at all. This made the meat dry as there was barely any chili in it. Nothing dripping like a sloppy Joe’s is supposed to be. Bun was nice and soft though. Also, the fries were decent. Seasoning was a nice touch in combination with ketchup. The coconut mango milk tea was just that: coconut, mango bits (small amount), milk and… not sure where the tea part went. Just tasted like a glorified milk drink. Sorry folks, not a win for me, especially when it’s $18 all in. With some minor improvements, this could be a decent place. Service was prompt and fast so thanks to the staff for that.

4 Star Rating The pulled pork sandwich was delicious, and I usually don’t even like pulled pork. Fries were well seasoned and the homemade soda (lemony and gingery) was not too sweet. There was plenty of seating during lunch on a weekday. Prices weren’t cheap, but quality was good. I would like to come by again to try their fried chicken sometime.

5 Star Rating What a delightful spot!! I came by for a quick bite on my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised by just how tasty the chicken sun-dried tomato pesto panini & tomato basil soup were. So much flavor and freshness. What made the experience even better was how warmly I was welcomed by the female staff member (I think her name is Melissa based on other reviews). The atmosphere of the cafe is already relaxing, but her kindness and hospitality really made me feel at home. I will definitely be making this a regular spot!

3 Star Rating Coffee is average (also overpriced) and food is just ok. Their Thai chicken wrap is extremely sweet and rice-heavy. The lady is nice and greets everybody warmly. The male staff doesn’t care about customer service, unless perhaps if you’re a long-time regular. He is straight-faced and very uptight about their dine-in seating. He also pre-enters your tip amount for you before handing over the machine. Atmosphere is nice inside, but they may not give you permission to stay in.

They say 20 minutes and then I show up early and it’s already sitting there. I think they need to take better care of the pizza, cook it fully so the cheese is properly browned. 4 Star Rating Visited this boutique Taiwanese restaurant in June 2024. The menu is a highlight of Taiwanese cuisine, with a lot of signature dishes of local Taiwan food. The dining area is a bit small, with about 10 to 12 seats. Food was served in a very delicate manner, with a lot of side dishes. The fried chicken we had was nice and beef noodle was very close to what we had in Taipei. Overall a lovely night and we will go again soon.

5 Star Rating I was in the New West neighbourhood this evening and found this restaurant was highly rated. I checked the photos online and the “quality” looked legit, so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived at the foyer of the restaurant, the cashier or counter was right there. I looked at someone who worked there. He was very familiar to me! I recognized he was the one who worked at an old Taiwanese restaurant on Imperial Street in Burnaby super long time ago that I used to go for Taiwanese food. Then I asked this person at the counter and confirmed he and his team ran the Taiwanese restaurant in Burnaby back in the day. Wow what a small world I finally found their Taiwanese restaurant in New West! I ordered a few dishes (see attached photos). The chicken nuggets, chicken cutlet bento and oyster pancakes were very delicious and they were traditional Taiwanese food that I used to have. I would like to go back and try their beef noodles in soup and some other dishes next time. 😋🤗 Their copy on the windows of the restaurant said “the best Taiwanese comfort food”. I totally agreed!!

4 Star Rating Unpretentious Chinese restaurant with authentic Asian/Taiwanese cuisine... most dishes come in a set. Menu is limited but flavours are very good. Set comes with main dish, rice & 2 slide dishes. It is a family run restaurant, the guy manning the front & serving the water. The place is clean & with a few tables onsite. Paid Parking on the street available, there's no parking at the restaurant as it is located in a very small premise opposite Nee Westminster Douglas College. Food is simple but great, highly recommend! Check it out

5 Star Rating So authentic and yummy. I could tell by the small menu and cozy decor that the food would be homey. As a Taiwanese, this felt super close to what I’d get in Taiwan. The food is flavourful but not greasy - especially the beef noodle soup. The noodles were chewy and bouncy, the broth was not greasy and there was a good portion of beef. I would have liked more veggie with it but no worries. The other lunch bentos were good too, all three of us Taiwanese enjoyed. The peach oolong tea was good and didn’t taste artificial. They didn’t have toppings today sadly. A small restaurant with artwork that reminded me of Taiwan. Looking forward to coming again!

3 Star Rating Meh. The gelato is straight up bad but the view is nice. Salted butter caramel tastes like a werther caramel (couldn’t taste any salt or butter) and I couldn’t finish it because it tasted so sickly sweet, toasted marshmallow should be called tasteless vanilla, the vanilla Ferraro had a yummy chocolate swirl but the actual ice cream tasted like crayons. And the tiramisu was a miss. They also don’t give out samples. Wouldn’t come back.

2 Star Rating Ordered a cappuccino which came in a takeout cup even though we were staying and was super tiny it was an espresso with some foam. Being Italian myself that is not a cappuccino! Hopefully you don't want to add any cream or milk to anything because there's nothing out. I did take my very tiny, even though it was the large size, cappuccino back to have them add more milk to it to cut the bitter flavor. I've had a lot of great cappuccino's, this was not one of those. I would have to say this is one of the worst!

3 Star Rating Stick to the gelato. The pizza was super disappointing. It's marketed as fresh Napoli-style thin crust, and the reality is a pre-fab crust. The margaritas pizza also had only 8 small basil leaves for 10 slices. They also don't allow gelato samples, which I get... but I wish I could try some of the experimental flavors first.

4 Star Rating Came here for ice cream with my kid. Service was friendly, but our drinks were disappointing, and the gelato was hit-and-miss: my panna cotta was the hit, and my son's lemon raspberry was the miss, unfortunately. I thought he was being picky, and tried it, myself. We're both fans of sour things, but agree lemon gelato should be sweet-and-sour, while this was rather bitter-and-sour. Poor value for money, as well. We were unfavourably impressed, all told, even though the panna cotta gelato really was fantastic. Edited to add a star for classy proprietor who accepts criticism with grace, and also because that panna cotta gelato really is amazing.

3 Star Rating I recently visited The Spud shack and had a bit of a wait before getting served. We stood outside for a while checking out the menu, and when we walked in, it felt like the staff were just chatting and not wanting to help us. We were the only ones there and when we initially entered the cooks ran to the back to look busy and the hostess said she had to clean up some tables first before offering to take our order. ( All the tables looked very clean and no one had entered recently or left during the period we were outside the building deciding what we wanted so I’m not sure why they didn’t do that beforehand when it was slow) They also only have can and bottled drinks, which was a bit disappointing since I was hoping for a fountain drink. On the food side, I really enjoyed my Buffalo chicken poutine, but I was let down when I noticed the cook let some pieces of chicken fall off at the pick up counter and didn’t add more back, so there wasn’t much chicken on it. My friend got The Nightmarket poutine and loved it—definitely better portions there! The food was warm, fresh, and the place was definitely clean, which was a plus.

We had the The Gaucho “Cowboy” it was so much flavor it almost overwhelmed us. The flavors work with each other and each bit is delicious yet never the same as the last bite. We had the smalls and they were still rather large in size so be mindful when ordering as this is not food to be wasted and enjoyed. My friend now wants to go back when back in town visiting as they want to try more of the offerings.

4 Star Rating I want to love this place for the pricing (because you hardly see prices like this anymore in greater Vancouver), but unfortunately the sushi ingredients are just not fresh enough to justify a perfect score. I got the combo A and the dynamite roll was soggy, the cali rolls tasted off. That being said I will probably go back: The ladies working there are very nice and friendly, and I wonder if trying a different menu item would change my mind.

3 Star Rating Sushi is ok.. Don’t hate it.. not a high end restaurant.. need a good cleaning. Very musty, Like there was a water link. Service is ok.. it’s seems to me like a fast food restaurant.. get you in get you out..

3 Star Rating The restaurant had good value bento lunch specials. But I decided to order from the regular menu since I was craving ramen. I ordered a spicy ramen. The order took more than 30 mins to arrive. I wasn’t too happy since I had to go back to work and was tight for time. I had to check a couple of times and each time the server said the order was coming. When I finished my meal, it was the manager that came and apologized. They gave me a 20% discount for the delay. Informed me that the server should’ve mentioned that the ramen will take longer compared to the other items served for lunch. The ramen was good and I would come back here to try the lunch specials. The manager made up for the initial lousy server communication but I will come back here again.

5 Star Rating We called before and made a reservation for a group of seven before we came, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The waiter was not overbearing and only came over when needed. The Ingredients were very fresh, and the everything was delicious, we all had different dishes and everyone loved their food. I would definitely recommend the veggie spring rolls and their pink rolls. We also had the peach growers, the drinks menu isn't very big, there's only 5-6 drink options.

2 Star Rating I am so curious why there are so difficult to find a good Katsu don in Vancouver right now… as I remember 10-15yrs ago there are so many Japanese restaurants selling delicious Katsu don… Anyway the Katsu don from Ki sushi is pretty awful. It’s dry and those pork cutlets is hard like stack of paper. I know this is hash but I am telling the truth… please don’t try. I am pretty disappointed. The Alaska roll tastes okay. Wish they can put little more mayonnaise in it. Now just taste like a California roll. Overall the price is the best part ($22), just need to make a right choice… hope I have more luck next time.
