If you like the vintage ambience, you will not disappointed. All the decorations, the train, lighting, antique tables and chairs are so attractive.
The food are much better than what we expected. All the meals are all inclusive.
One dish includes a warm medium bread with garlic butter, soup or salad, tea or coffee and ice-cream in one very reasonable price.
The prices are really reasonable for the food quality. The streamed one pound mussel is only $10.95 and the quality and portion are good. All the food come out fresh and hot.
Our server is friendly and helpful.
They also offer happy hour. The prices are more reasonable too!

High on a hill in New West is a very prominent beige, brick and green building, home to The Old Spaghetti Factory, a family friendly restaurant famous for their "it's all included" slogan.
I've been eating here for years and the food has remained relatively the same throughout. Pasta is their mainstay and they have heaps of it paired with a litany of sauces. Appetizers aplenty and drinks galore round out a very robust menu so there is no way that you will leave hungry.
As if that wasn't enough incentive to visit, I can vouch for the astounding efficiency of the servers. Literally just as soon as you place your order, that's how fast your meal is delivered. A quick succession of drinks, followed by your soup or salad and then very shortly afterwards, your main meal.
And of course, the most important thing: The food is filling and delicious, and the prices are by far some of the cheapest around.
In an age where price gouging has become the norm, it is so refreshing to see that some places aren't out for your money, and instead are more concerned with customer satisfaction. I assure you, the experience at Old Spaghetti Factory will never get "old".

Old Spaghetti Factory is one of the best restaurants in great Vancouver.
The atmosphere is fabulous, you will enjoy all of antique tables and chairs, decorations and the lovely train in the middle of restaurant. When you are walking around, old pictures catch your eyes. All of these brings smile to your mouth and good feeling and happiness to you.
The start with bringing fresh bread with garlic butter that is so tasty and if you want more, they bring you. Also, salad or soup at the beginning and coffee, tea or ice cream at the end is included in your food. Food is delicious. We got Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and lasagna. They were delicious, however the portion of lasagna is so small, I wish it was bigger than that.
Also, drink we got was good as well.
Price is reasonable.
The only complaint is although there were a lot of free tables on the floor and trains, they gave us a table in mezzanine and when we asked to have a table in the train they said you have to wait for 20 minutes! And also other parts of the restaurant is closed!
Anyway, I highly recommend Old Spaghetti Factory. You will enjoy the time and food a lot.

I love the food and atmosphere. Food tastes very good and authentic, I love how they serve soup or salad with mains and you get an ice cream at the end. The bread and butter at start tastes very good

The Old Spaghetti Factory in New Westminster has been an integral part of our family’s journey for over 45 years, serving as the backdrop for countless celebrations. So, when my grandmother was asked where she wanted to mark her 101st birthday, there was no hesitation—she chose the New West Old Spaghetti Factory.
Owner Clinton and his incredible team went above and beyond to make this milestone truly unforgettable. From the warm welcome to the thoughtful touches throughout the evening, every detail was perfect. The food, as always, was delicious—comforting, consistent, and just as we remembered from so many special occasions.
What stood out most was the genuine care and attentiveness of Clinton and the staff. They made my grandmother feel celebrated and cherished, which means more to us than words can express.
Thank you, Clinton, and the entire team for creating yet another beautiful memory for our family. We look forward to many more celebrations with you in the years to come.

A must If you are looking for a burger restaurant.
To me, portions are big (I don't eat that much), but it is worth the price. You cam Pickle between salad or potato wedges.
There's a shame and fame wall for all those who can eat an 8 patties high, 3 pounds burger (if you dare).
Service was nice even though it took a little for our burgers to be served.
Despite that, everything is delicious, but the place needs a little bit of an upgrade. We paid 60 dollars for 2 burgers and tips.

We showed up at noon and were greeted with a friendly smile and a "welcome, how are you 2 doing today. " We were seated and given menus, asked what we wanted to drink and left to figure out which yummy burger to eat. There are so many great ones, sometimes it is hard to decide. I ended up getting the Hawaiian burger w/wedges and the wife got the Greek God burger w/loaded wedges which has Cheese and bacon added. I also got the gravy that comes on a stand with a candle underneath to keep it warm. Great Food, Great Service and Great Atmosphere. I have been going there for about 35 years. Everyone should try this place at least once.

An amazing little burger joint. The portions are definitely worth the price! I got the Insanity Burger and had to take half home. The only thing that could make this place perfect would be to serve Coca Cola. I will definitely be going here again for more insanity!!

What a charming little place. Full of fun ambiance giving the Dive feel but not in a bad way. One of those local haunts where you see pictures all over the walls.
The food is spectacular, the burgers are a wow and have a wow factor. It doesn't matter what you order it's all delicious. Large portions.
Our server was very attentive and we got our meal in good time, no long wait as there wasn't a challenge burger happening during our visit.
This place is a must visit and we will be back.

Had a sloppy joes with fries and a coconut mango milk tea. Sloppy joes was not sloppy at all. This made the meat dry as there was barely any chili in it. Nothing dripping like a sloppy Joe’s is supposed to be. Bun was nice and soft though. Also, the fries were decent. Seasoning was a nice touch in combination with ketchup. The coconut mango milk tea was just that: coconut, mango bits (small amount), milk and… not sure where the tea part went. Just tasted like a glorified milk drink.
Sorry folks, not a win for me, especially when it’s $18 all in. With some minor improvements, this could be a decent place.
Service was prompt and fast so thanks to the staff for that.

No-nonsense BBQ take-put place. The portions were big and tasty. I guess they did marinate the meat for a long time before slowly grilling it. I couldn't finish mine thus gave half of it to hubby.
For those complaining of how pricey it is - it is not actually, I'd you have ever went to a foodcourt I downtown Vancouver you will know.
It is worth coming back!

I went off script and decided to get the brisket sandwich. What a great choice. So flavour and tender. I always choose the pulled pork so I haven't had the brisket since Re-Up was just a food truck at the art gallery. I'll have to alternate my choices now. I did get the combo and the fries are delicious but I didn't need them. The sandwich was filling enough!

The pulled pork sandwich was delicious, and I usually don’t even like pulled pork. Fries were well seasoned and the homemade soda (lemony and gingery) was not too sweet. There was plenty of seating during lunch on a weekday. Prices weren’t cheap, but quality was good. I would like to come by again to try their fried chicken sometime.

What a delightful spot!! I came by for a quick bite on my lunch break and was pleasantly surprised by just how tasty the chicken sun-dried tomato pesto panini & tomato basil soup were. So much flavor and freshness.
What made the experience even better was how warmly I was welcomed by the female staff member (I think her name is Melissa based on other reviews). The atmosphere of the cafe is already relaxing, but her kindness and hospitality really made me feel at home.
I will definitely be making this a regular spot!

I just came in and got two ice coffees and 2 cinnamon buns… let me tell you… I always complain about leaving tips nowadays as there is no service. This place proved me completely wrong. The lady working was extremely nice and you could feel her souls beauty. She was super attentive and sweet. Things like this make me have hope in the food industry and with tipping. Thank you for being the place that makes me enjoy leaving a tip! May God bless this cafe!
Let me tell you, the Cinnabon buns were just perfect, so delicious and if you have a sweet tooth like myself it’s the perfect treat especially when warmed up. I will make sure to come back here with my wife again, what a fantastic place! Thank you for your service!!

Whenever I work in the area, I always make sure to stop by this spot! I absolutely love the atmosphere, it has a chill, earthy type of vibe. The staff, I believe she's the owner is so kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this spot over any other cafes in New West. The pricing is fair and they have gluten free options

Price is affordable. Taste is great beyond the price. I love that they didn't give too much rice in a roll, so there's a lot of filling. This is what authentic shushi is supposed to be.

The "spicy beef" pizza is so delicious. Please open a location in Toronto so I don't have to come all the way here to get it. Love that they have some bottles of hot sauce and white dressing you can help yourself to if you're dining in.
Chang Wang - 2 months ago
I won’t come back to this location again. The pizza has been soggy three times now. I even order the pineapple on the side, but it’s still very wet and the tip of the slice is inedible. They say 20 minutes and then I show up early and it’s already sitting there. I think they need to take better care of the pizza, cook it fully so the cheese is properly browned. I really love pizza garden over the years so I am sad this location is a no go 🙅🏽♀️

Visited this boutique Taiwanese restaurant in June 2024. The menu is a highlight of Taiwanese cuisine, with a lot of signature dishes of local Taiwan food.
The dining area is a bit small, with about 10 to 12 seats.
Food was served in a very delicate manner, with a lot of side dishes. The fried chicken we had was nice and beef noodle was very close to what we had in Taipei.
Overall a lovely night and we will go again soon.

I was in the New West neighbourhood this evening and found this restaurant was highly rated. I checked the photos online and the “quality” looked legit, so I decided to give it a try.
When I arrived at the foyer of the restaurant, the cashier or counter was right there. I looked at someone who worked there. He was very familiar to me! I recognized he was the one who worked at an old Taiwanese restaurant on Imperial Street in Burnaby super long time ago that I used to go for Taiwanese food. Then I asked this person at the counter and confirmed he and his team ran the Taiwanese restaurant in Burnaby back in the day. Wow what a small world I finally found their Taiwanese restaurant in New West!
I ordered a few dishes (see attached photos). The chicken nuggets, chicken cutlet bento and oyster pancakes were very delicious and they were traditional Taiwanese food that I used to have.
I would like to go back and try their beef noodles in soup and some other dishes next time. 😋🤗
Their copy on the windows of the restaurant said “the best Taiwanese comfort food”. I totally agreed!!

Unpretentious Chinese restaurant with authentic Asian/Taiwanese cuisine... most dishes come in a set. Menu is limited but flavours are very good. Set comes with main dish, rice & 2 slide dishes.
It is a family run restaurant, the guy manning the front & serving the water. The place is clean & with a few tables onsite.
Paid Parking on the street available, there's no parking at the restaurant as it is located in a very small premise opposite Nee Westminster Douglas College.
Food is simple but great, highly recommend!
Check it out

So authentic and yummy. I could tell by the small menu and cozy decor that the food would be homey. As a Taiwanese, this felt super close to what I’d get in Taiwan. The food is flavourful but not greasy - especially the beef noodle soup. The noodles were chewy and bouncy, the broth was not greasy and there was a good portion of beef. I would have liked more veggie with it but no worries. The other lunch bentos were good too, all three of us Taiwanese enjoyed. The peach oolong tea was good and didn’t taste artificial. They didn’t have toppings today sadly. A small restaurant with artwork that reminded me of Taiwan. Looking forward to coming again!

Stick to the gelato. The pizza was super disappointing. It's marketed as fresh Napoli-style thin crust, and the reality is a pre-fab crust. The margaritas pizza also had only 8 small basil leaves for 10 slices.
They also don't allow gelato samples, which I get... but I wish I could try some of the experimental flavors first.
Therese Mah - 2 months ago
Friends recommended their gelato to us, and the gelatos are really nice. We ordered a Lotus biscuit flavor and a cannoli pistachio flavor, which are both with a richness of aroma. They have their own dining area, which has a glass roof with it to make it very bright and chill. The staff are friendly, and they will serve you the ice cream cones with a cone holder, which is very tidy.
Sabrina Chang - a year ago
The food is pretty good, but I don't like the fact they close at 7 pm daily even during summer. Considering they are the only gelato shop in Downtown New West, it would be a great business move for them to extend their hours, all while giving customers the opportunity to enjoy a great dessert after dinner.
Gerald Yang - 4 months ago
Please have gelato taste option as well. We visited about 7:30 cashier didn’t look too happy to see us and kinda ignored us. I gave you four star so you consider reflecting on feedback at-least on customer service part since many like me had pointed out…

Staff are great and will answer any questions you have and will help you make the right choice as they have so many unique poutines to choose from. We had the The Gaucho “Cowboy” it was so much flavor it almost overwhelmed us. The flavors work with each other and each bit is delicious yet never the same as the last bite. We had the smalls and they were still rather large in size so be mindful when ordering as this is not food to be wasted and enjoyed. My friend now wants to go back when back in town visiting as they want to try more of the offerings.

The restaurant had good value bento lunch specials. But I decided to order from the regular menu since I was craving ramen. I ordered a spicy ramen. The order took more than 30 mins to arrive. I wasn’t too happy since I had to go back to work and was tight for time. I had to check a couple of times and each time the server said the order was coming. When I finished my meal, it was the manager that came and apologized. They gave me a 20% discount for the delay. Informed me that the server should’ve mentioned that the ramen will take longer compared to the other items served for lunch.
The ramen was good and I would come back here to try the lunch specials. The manager made up for the initial lousy server communication but I will come back here again.

I am so curious why there are so difficult to find a good Katsu don in Vancouver right now… as I remember 10-15yrs ago there are so many Japanese restaurants selling delicious Katsu don…
Anyway the Katsu don from Ki sushi is pretty awful. It’s dry and those pork cutlets is hard like stack of paper. I know this is hash but I am telling the truth… please don’t try. I am pretty disappointed.
The Alaska roll tastes okay. Wish they can put little more mayonnaise in it. Now just taste like a California roll.
Overall the price is the best part ($22), just need to make a right choice… hope I have more luck next time.
Ryan Cheng - 4 months ago
I want to love this place for the pricing (because you hardly see prices like this anymore in greater Vancouver), but unfortunately the sushi ingredients are just not fresh enough to justify a perfect score.
I got the combo A and the dynamite roll was soggy, the cali rolls tasted off.
That being said I will probably go back:
The ladies working there are very nice and friendly, and I wonder if trying a different menu item would change my mind.
