Great little pub with some delicious Guinness and traditional Irish food. Definitely worth a visit.

The chicken burger was pretty good, decent portion size too but little amount of fries and oily. However for a simple burger it’s definitely overpriced. I paid around 25$ in total including tip. It’s a nice atmosphere for big groups tho and the staff was friendly and attentive.
I would not come a second time but if you need a place for a big gathering this might be suitable.

Staff were great! Food was decent but not all their beers listed were available. I thought the music was too loud for an Irish pub.
Robert Dent - a week ago
I would like to start off by saying that this establishment had live music on a Thursday night which is great! My experience with the service there, they never come back to check on you. I saw two male employees both behind the bar only. Nobody walking around or checking on tables. We had a group of 16 people and not one person came back to check on the table nor did they come to give us our bill. Each of us had to hunt down the bar tender behind the bar to get our bills. That is a shame. Our orders were taken, food was brought and that was it. We would of ordered more drinks if the server actually came to our table. This business definitely lost lots of sales from our group. The wings are exceptionally delicious. That is the rating for a second star. We were brought cold fries and requested them the be made hot so they took them back. This place has a pool table. It is a very large establishment.

Pretty good Irish pub. Would come back again especially for a guys night out. The fish and chips were a tad too greasy for my liking. Bangers and mash were tasty. Great service!

Good fresh burgers...still delicious after a 10 min drive. Friendly staff and very quick. Onion rings were nice and crispy. Poutine had lots of cheese curds and gravy!! Store was very clean and nicely appointed. Lots of seating and natural light. A good place for anyone to grab a quick bite.

Had dinner here whilst waiting for out Via Rail. Loved the idea of frozen cup with root beer. Awesome. Burgers were of good quality for a fast food joint. First time at A&W and was pleasantly surprised.

Love the staff here! Manpreet and Ranvir always greet us with a smile and super friendly service. Food is always great. Definitely recommend this. I come to this location for lunch, which is actually further than the other location at the SkyTrain station, because it's worth going farther for!

Manpreet always makes my visits special! She goes the extra mile and always has a warm smile on. The rest of the staff is similarly amazing. There is another A&W closer to me, but I always go to this one instead because of the outstanding service!

Ordered Chicken biryani and it was average in taste . Very limited chicken pieces and huge tomato pieces is disappointing. Plus you should give curd separately since you can’t re heat it when curds mixed . Overall average experience.

It was the Food Truck that I found accidentally on Fraser Street. I had delicious Samosa Chat, Sev Puri, Bhel Puri. They also provide Chicken samosa that is worth trying.
I found Bhel Puri a bit dry but they were kind enough to pour more chutneys when we asked.
They are welcoming and I love their hospitality.
Their food is worth trying and I will try different food in future.
GO FOR IT!! 👍

Kalai Curry Kitchen in Vancouver is absolutely amazing! The butter chicken is a must-try – it's creamy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The ambiance is cozy, and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. If you're in the mood for some delicious Indian food, Kalai Curry Kitchen is the place to go!

Tried the samosa chat here. Very good Street food taste. And the price is hard to beat. Well worth it for five dollars. If you're traveling by car, the location may be a bit tough to stop as there's a large sky train station nearby. The takeaway package was good and compact.

Surprised to discover this fantastic little sushi bar, tucked away in the corner of the station. Freshly made and beautifully presented sushi, with wide choice for vegetarians and all excellent value. Externally not much to look at, so food was much better than expected - thank you so much

Given the price and convenience, this sushi is excellent! So convenient for travelers via Pacific Central Station - the best option around! The workers are nothing but friendly and this sushi just tastes great!! Definitely a place worth stopping at if you plan on taking VIA Rail, Amtrak, etc!

First off I'd like to say that I am a man of all cuisines but Japanese food has a special place in my heart! I was driving westbound on Terminal Ave approaching Main St. when the snarled traffic diverted me onto Station St.The words 'Sushi' and the hard to see open neon sign caught my attention like a squirrel to a dog.
So I did it! I went right after work at 445pm and slithered my way through the Train terminal as Ekki Sushi was located inside Pacific Central station. The station itself was bare, and there were signs directing you to the restaurant. The restaurant is located on the right side of the station, a bit hidden so there were a few signs pointing to the little shop.
There's a table partition at the entrance of the restaurant with menus and a bottle of hand sanitizer. The chef comes out and takes my order, he's a nice young gentleman. I ordered Salmon Poke and a California roll and he said 15 minutes. I head out to my car and wait. Come 5pm I try going back into the station *tug & yank* hmm seems like the doors are locked (presumably for safety purposes), and a printed sign says 'please dial xxx' to open the door, and so I do! Phew, thought I had been late to pickup my order and the station locked me out!
So I head in following my nose and sitting at the partition was my food ready and waiting. I thank the chef and I head out for another 'trunk meal'. Unbeknownst to me the chef snuck in a bowl of miso soup *thank you very much*
I quickly open my food and was amazed at the detail and attention to my poke...then how my California rolls were so perfectly shaped and proportionately made. I ate it all and washed it down with the soup, PERIOD!
The poke bowl was at the perfect temperature with all the 'new school' toppings without going over board. The fish was soft and a bit chewy texture, salmon. The California roll was tasty as it's well proportioned (none of those gargantuan Cali rolls *I'm looking at you Samurai Sushi*). Overall, this place is a true hidden gem. At first I thought the prices I saw online was what I'll be paying, but upon comparison the menu I saw was larger and contained more options.
TLDR; poke bowl was delicious. California roll was delicious. Washed down with miso soup, too was delisioso! Will return.

Nothing special about the portions or the flavors. Price was only acceptable due to the 32% off discount on Fantuan. We pre-ordered for 5:00 - 5:30pm delivery. The restaurant started preparing the food around 3:30/3:45pm. Our food was ready for delivery around 4:00pm. Unfortunately, because our food was not scheduled for delivery until 5pm, so, our food just sat there for at least an hour before it was picked up by our delivery person. Delivery took another 30 minutes or so. So, by the time we got our food, the hot food was cold, cold food was room temperature. Most unsettling was that they packed one of our sushi with the hot udon and the sushi was warm. From a food safe point of view. I would not order from this restaurant again. Two stars only because we didn’t actually get food poisoned.
Edit: delivery app followed up and said the restaurant might not have known when the delivery period was and started the order too early due to a system error. With this clarification I will give them benefit of doubt and revise to 3 stars.

Very rich, creamy, and chewy jumbo sized macarons! Wish there were more than 3 flavours on the day I went. Small shop with friendly owner, however the location isn’t exactly stellar.

Taking over the former Kobob Burger on Main Street is Cafe Take Urban which specializes in Korean style macarons - Ddungcaron. Ddungcaron (뚱카롱) is a popular rendition of macarons found in Korea. It means "fat macaron", and it gets its name from the outrageous amount of filling between macaron shells.
In addition to their macarons, they also offer a variety of sandwiches, rice bowls (which they dub 'Cup Bob'), and espresso beverages.
I started off with a Dirty Latte. It gets its name from the shot of espresso added into the drink. The matcha taste was strong and the shot of espresso didn't overwhelm the strong matcha taste.
I also tried the Chicken Pesto Panini and it was perfectly grilled and stuffed with ingredients. The chicken worked well with the pesto and there was a generous amount of cheese which made for a very fulfilling panini.
In a nod to their Korean roots, they also offer various different rice bowls. They have chicken, veggie, beef bulgogi and tuna mayo. I went with the spicy pork. All the ingredients worked well together and the spicy pork was very savoury. I didn't find it spicy at all, and if I got this again, I could do without the mayonnaise.
The macarons here are expertly made and the flavours that are being offered are very unique and not offered any where else in Vancouver. All the flavours were on point, but my favourites were the Real Oreo and Birthday Cake. If you're a fan of the White Rabbit craze going on the Sweet Milk flavour tastes exactly like White Rabbit candy!
Overall, I had a great experience. The service was friendly and the food was executed well. The macarons are extremely well priced (only $3.00 each!) and they would make for a lovely gift.

I can definitely tell this is the best macaroons in van. (I’ve been to so many different macaroon places in van)
My friends brought me some last time and I just fell in love. So I went to all the way to vancouver from surrey only for these macaroons. I can’t believe I found these perfect macaroons.
Chewy, flavourful really thick and big. I tried every single flavours. The favourites are oreo, milk, and cheese cracker flavour.

Everything was decent, but beef tongue was probably the best dish of all three. It was so soft and tender. Clams were a bit underwhelming and had sand in them. Great atmosphere and friendly servers.

On Mother's Day noon, our family of five chose this restaurant upon our son's suggestion. As soon as we pushed open the door, a warm yet elegant atmosphere greeted us. The restaurant has two floors, and the dining ambience on the ground floor and underground is completely different. The underground area has a bit of a bar feel to it, with a small private room and a projector, making it perfect for small gatherings.
We ordered some tapas, such as pan-fried squid, braised beef tongue, meatballs, fried chicken wings, tripe, and Spanish seafood paella. The flavors were just right. The cheesecake and Spanish churros for dessert were also interesting, but my favorite was the chocolate-dipped figs.
For five people, the total bill came to CAD220 , making it a restaurant with great value for money. I highly recommend giving it a try.

Amazing vibes, great food, and service. The quality of the paella and tapas took us back to our Barcelona trip.
The paella and sangria are a must. The cocktails are tasty, and they have some rotating menu items that are fun to try. We heard great things about their churros, but got too stuffed at the end, will save that for next time.

Incredible place! Must stop by if in the area. The best food I've had in Vancouver. The tostones with guac are the best thing on the menu, absolutely delicious. Don't forget to try their drinks, I loved the coconut limeade. One of the best stops of our trip!

Visited for lunch and was a bit disappointed. The service was okay. Friendly, but a bit slow. The space is really cool. The food was hit and miss. They have one machete with potatoes and it’s amazing. The birria was some of the least flavourful I have ever had - I was very disappointed with it.

Authentic and delicious. Original food, not the run of the mill you get everywhere else. The drinks are out of this world! I love it here.

It was honestly refreshing to eat at Machete and get Mexican food which was not like Chipotle or TexMex. Coming from America Southwest, I couldn't believe there was this type of food in Vancouver.
Three of us ordered different dishes and enjoyed all of them. There's a common thread of blue corn tortillas but with different types of fillings. The use of queso fresco (I think...) alongside the beans provided a good chunk of flavor. I really didn't feel bloated after eating it all unlike most other Mexican places.
Do try the drinks. They're fun.
Shuai Jiang - 2 months ago
The Enfrijoladas were delicious, I think they were the best we've tried in Vancouver, the beans, the Oaxaca cheese and the chorizo had a very Mexican flavor, we ordered fried plantains for dessert, we had previously ordered machetes and corn for delivery, but it is definitely better to eat at the restaurant🥰

Truly deserving of a Michelin rated restaurant. The 1/2 is what I ordered half roasted pork belly and half fried chicken on rice! Yum! The beef noodle soup was divine.

Came here to celebrate a birthday. Food was good overall but some dishes lacked flavor, their cheesecake and cocktails were delicious tho! Giving four stars because service was extremely slow - they took more than 30 minutes to take our drinks order after we told them we needed a few minutes to check the menu :(

Torafuku is a gem of a pan-Asian restaurant. I thoroughly enjoyed the pork and chicken bowl—the meat was crispy tender and flavorful, perfectly seasoned to bring out its rich taste. The cracker salad was a delightful mix of textures, with a satisfying crunch that complemented the fresh ingredients. And the burnt cheesecake? Absolutely divine—creamy with a beautifully caramelized top that added a subtle smokiness to each bite paired with blueberry sauce on the side. Service was excellent by the way.
I also had the yuzu lemon sparkling drink, which paired wonderfully with the meal, adding a refreshing citrusy note that balanced the richness of the dishes.
I’ve been here many many times… dine in and take-out. So far so good. So, if you’re looking for a place that offers inventive and delicious pan-Asian cuisine, Torafuku is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Suggestion: Hopefully they’ll come up with something new as I’ve been ordering pretty much same same food with only a limited selection on the menu. (I might eventually get bored even with good food).

Our first time here was enjoyable. It’s a cute eatery albeit in a seedy area. We found parking a block away, near a construction site…yes, there are still 1-hour parking streets nearby. The front is not very welcoming…dark, almost thought it was closed. However, the inside was nice, roomy and cute. The food was very flavourful. Prices were ok, too.
Sandra Chan - 3 months ago
I started the meal with a yuzu lemonade and the Maitake mushroom tempura. The tempura was out of this world good. Crispy batter, an excellent togarashi seasoning, and the mushroom was hella flavourful.
For my entree, I opted for the 1/2 Rice Bowl 🍚. Half Kakuni Pork Belly and half fried chicken sitting on top of rice cooked with sake, butter, and dashi.
I really enjoyed the layout of the restaurant, being able to look into the kitchen and see items being prepared. The food was delicious and I look forward to coming back for dinner for the more expanded menu.
