It’s a small place. The menu is huge. Ordered the food. It came out extremely fast. If you’re coming here strictly for sushi. I believe it’s a different experience. I ordered chicken teriyaki. It was all right. The sushi was better. I felt a little rushed while ordering again, this looks to me like a local sushi placefor a quick snack

The best food in town.. it’s fresh and cleaned. It might not the fancy restaurant you will experience but who cares if you are in food but restaurant are cleaned.. very friendly staff and approachable too. Definitely coming back with my friends

I got the bull’s roll and the salmon sashimi. Both were very good!! Portion sizes are good and prices are reasonable. The staff was also really nice

A nice local family run business. Very welcoming customer service when you walk in. Service was very friendly and the entrees we had were good. You can't beat the quality, price and the good service. One of the few places in Richmond that, does not nickle and dime you by charging for containers either. They accept cash and also debit, which is nice.

SO QUICK! Small shop with lots of menu choices and BIG slices of sashimi and big rolls. Not over-priced, it’s just right for an affordable and delicious meal. The miso soup is bottomless and free I think. I got the dynamite and sashimi combo for ~ $16. Come visit tokyo joes!

I have seen this food truck for a while and finally caught it when it's opened. Seeing not a lot of people I was wondering would it be good, but I was blown away.
The skewers are cheaper than outside and just tasted so amazing. Seasoned perfectly and grilled to perfection. Eating outside with the setting sun definitely sets a good mood to enjoy the food.
Definitely need to try the lamb kidney, chicken knee, chicken soft bone and meat, beef tongue, and must order the Naan, it is more Northern Chinese Naan bread, and it is so soft and pillowy, we ate both of them so quickly.
A must try in richmond.

This spot is great for a nighttime snack, the skewers here cost less than the ones at the Richmond Night Market which is nice. 🍢👍🏻
Although they have an order online page on their website, it didn't work for me so I just called them to order.
When I arrived I was able to pick up quite quickly and they tasted great too. 😋

Dolar Shop is a higher end hot pot place and parent restaurant to the popular all you can eat place, Cho Cho. As a result, this place is expensive, you’re looking at around $80 a person to get sufficient amount of food.
Service is top notch here. As a result of the high end experience they definitely give you top tier service.
Food is great quality, but you pay for the quality. You want expensive seafood or high end meats? This is the place.
They have a sauce bar and some all you can eat appetizers as part of the package as well.
The one thing I cannot stand is the credit card up charge. It’s absolutely disappointing to see restaurants do this, especially a higher end place like this. It seems rather unfair to pass this cost to customers.
Otherwise this place is a good example of a higher end hot pot place.

We so enjoyed our meal here. The unlimited sauce, sides, fruit and jelly bars along with the unlimited noodles were perfect for the kids to help themselves with and the hot pot combos came with really high quality food and presentation. We just really enjoyed every aspect of our meal here including the service. They were super attentive and replaced things like water, broth, and napkins without needing to ask.

好吃到說不出話 ☺️ everything was great! Tomato soup base is soo tomatoey, we were told they make the soup base in house with fresh tomatoes. All the ingredients seemed really fresh and were presented well. The sauce that was prepared for us was great. The menu lacks a larger variety of tofu options. The noodles are sooo chewy and good, the green colour was our fav.
But honestly, the side dishes and dessert bar were the highlight for me. There’s not as big a variety as Haidilao but the quality was great. The kimchi side dish was bomb, the cantaloupe was super fresh and sweet! The dessert jelly was wonderful 🫨 super refreshing and great way to cleanse the palette at the end of the meal.
The complimentary soft serve ice cream was soo good too, it was super milky and the cone was so crunchy.
The server was attentive and nice.
3 of us dined for $185 before tip.

The food is delicious! I paid $80 per person. Only 4 complaints I have is when I came back this time, there was no dragonfruit at the snack back and the tea gets cold easily as their pots are not thermal. Wish they also had the macarons back with the ice cream. I also am not happy with the 2% upcharge paying by credit card, so I paid in debit.

I was impressed with the attentive level of customer service. Getting individual burners is a different and fun experience. Booking the reservation was easy and they called me the day before to confirm and ask if there were any children (in order to prepare accordingly) which was a pleasant surprise.
I don’t have hot pot often - it’s an occasional treat and so I was happy with the cost but it might be high for some. My table ordered to our hearts’ content and it cost about $60 per person after tip.
I LOVED the dessert section of their “sauce bar” where you could enjoy grass jelly and boba toppings. I was planning to go to Blackball for dessert but was satisfied with the offerings at the dessert bar. They made sure you knew about this by putting pictures through it the menu of how to assemble your bowl.
In addition, the washrooms were perfectly clean and even provided mouth picks and mouthwash. There was a note inside each stall with the number of the front desk to tell ladies that they can provide pads/tampons if you get an unexpected visit from
Mother Nature. A very thoughtful touch!

It is SO good, perfect portion, taste, price and service. I can’t be happier and I will be back. The cashier was patient and observant- two people ordered one dish but still gave two sets of utensils. It is not everyday you also get someone politely bowing to thank you. My friend introduced me and I want to introduce this place to the whole world!!! It is great place for a late night order as they open until late too. 11/10 😇👍

This place has become my go-to whenever I don’t know what to eat. Most of the dishes are pretty spicy and heavy-tasting which is perfect for me. Price and portion are great as well. Never disappoints! :D

Literally some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. If you are in the area you MUST go.
My wife and I went twice while on our vacation and absolutely loved it. Had to get some for the road on our way out lol. The owner was awesome and helped us pick some amazing dishes and made us feel super welcome. This place deserves every bit of success and we cannot wait to come back!

Piping Hot is a cozy spot for delicious and affordable Asian cuisine. Known for its steaming hot soups, fresh ingredients, and exquisite Taiwanese deep fried selection. it’s a go-to for a hearty, satisfying meal. The portion sizes are based on your own selection, and the service is quick, making it ideal for appetites of all sizes. The atmosphere is no-frills, but the food more than makes up for it. Highly recommended for anyone looking for Taiwanese comfort food with bold flavors in Richmond.

Went last night and lunch today. I ordered the pepper broth, didn’t taste much of the flavor but today I ordered the pumpkin one is very good, I love the broth and my boyfriend had the seafood broth was very good too 👍🏻
I enjoyed the fried snacks, which is very authentic to Taiwanese although a bit too salty to me but very authentic for sure.
The taiyaki milk tea ice cream is also very good. I love the taiyaki itself ❤️❤️
I hope they can get a line up system, so people don’t have to wait too long.
Their servers are all very polite as well.

Everything was great but the pork bone soup and the fried snacks were a bit salty for me and my friend. Otherwise everything is awesome and I love the dessert:) service was awesome too

We waited in line for twenty minutes, and when it was finally our turn, we were told that the bowls weren’t clean yet. After that, we waited another ten minutes at our seats to place our order, only to see the two groups behind us receiving their meals while ours had not arrived, which made for a rather unsatisfactory experience. The broth was relatively bland, and the potato noodles were undercooked, making them quite hard to chew. In comparison, the complimentary fried items and dorayaki ice cream were much more enjoyable.

Still one of the best places to get a fast taco salad. Toppings are great and that deep and crisp shell really stands out. Miss the days when you could pour the salsa on top by yourself but I guess covid changes things. Crisp tater tots complete the meal.
Update: March 2024... glad to see their taco salad are still good.

Went here on a suggestion from a friend, was hoping to meet Luis. Was disappointed when he wasn’t there, but when I looked inside my taco, I saw L U I S spelled out in my sauce.
Needless to say, this spiritual surprise has turned Luis into one of my best friends.

Fantastic simple Tex Mex done well.
Get extra salsa sauce! It's amazing with the potato gems
Been coming here for more than 10 years, but have only returned after 6 years of going without. Still tastes amazing. Super sad that the oakridge location closed

This is my go to taco spot in Richmond, especially when I’m missing Taco Bell from my country. I usually have a great experience, but during my last visit, I ordered a Super 10 and was told, as always, that salsa costs an extra 25 cents, which I expected since I’ve paid for it before. However, the customer after me was also told there was a charge for salsa but was still given salsa for free. It felt a bit unfair and inconsistent.

We were hoping to try out a 5 star Mexican restaurant in Vancouver for Cinco de Mayo Day but heavy traffic thwarted our plans. Ended up at the food court in Lansdowne Centre and got our Mexican fix at Taco Luis. I usually just order their tater tots for a snack; as I wanted a full meal this time, I decided to try the Tater Tots Deluxe combo meal. They put rice, beans, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, peppers, cheese, sour cream and salsa on top. I had the option of putting guacamole on top as well but I decided to pass on it as I was quite happy with the mound of food piled on top of my tater tots already.
I really don't care whether it's authentic Mexican food, I only care that it tastes good. I've always loved the tater tots at Taco Luis, and now that I've tried their Tater Tots Deluxe I think I've just found my new "go to" meal at that food court!
There are plenty of other options as well if you're in the mood for something other than tater tots. Burritos, Tacos, Soft Tacos, Taco Salads...etc. My husband ordered a 12 " beef burrito combo and my daughter ordered a 10 " chicken burrito combo. (Didn't get any photos of their meals. Was too impatient to start eating the Deluxe meal sitting in front of me!)
Service: Good
Parking: Plentiful and free
Location: Inside the food court at Lansdowne Centre, Richmond

My first time ordering Japanese food from Katte and I can say it was very good. The ikura and salmon sashimi over white rice along with avocado, cucumber and wasabi aioli was sooooo hood! It was worth $19.

Got the build your own don for $12 with white rice as the base, spicy salmon as the protein, japanese cucumber + roasted sweet potato + pickled daikon as my vegetables, spicy mayo + teriyaki + one more sauce for my sauces, and furikake+ sesame seeds as my toppings. very good value for the price and everything was super fresh! the portion was perfect for me and i was really full by the end. the fish was also very fresh. next time i’m at the mall, i will get food from here

The Chicken Katsu is pretty good, the chicken is made to order and comes out crispy and has good flavor. The curry portion is a little bit on the small side and maybe a spoonful short for the meal. Overall I would recommend Katte when eating at Lansdowne, I definitely will add it to the rotation of places I eat at when there

This restaurant specializes in Northeastern Chinese cuisine. I decided to try their stir-fried mung bean starch (chao menzi), and while the texture was quite unique and the flavor was decent, it wasn’t the best version I’ve ever had. The dish was enjoyable but didn’t really stand out. The prices are on the higher side, so it’s not exactly a budget-friendly option. However, the cozy and warm atmosphere makes it a nice place to dine, which somewhat balances out the cost. Overall, it's a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal, even if the food wasn’t extraordinary.

A great place for the typical Chinese BBQ street food and spicy cuisine. It’s a little bit slow. But food was delicious.

Worse service I've seen in years. The restaurant operation has no plan, it's a total mess. Everyone is doing their own random thing at random time. They don't bring bowls when they serve fried rice, which should be very basic. We had to ask twice for someone to bring us bowls. We order two drinks, one came after 30 mind and we waited one hour for the other one, after we asked for it four times. They confirmed we will have a room when we book the table,
