It’s a small place. The menu is huge. Ordered the food. It came out extremely fast. If you’re coming here strictly for sushi. I believe it’s a different experience. I ordered chicken teriyaki. It was all right. The sushi was better. I felt a little rushed while ordering again, this looks to me like a local sushi placefor a quick snack

I got the bull’s roll and the salmon sashimi. Both were very good!! Portion sizes are good and prices are reasonable. The staff was also really nice

This is hands-down the best sushi spot in Richmond! I’ve been coming here with my kids for over 6 years, and we know every staff member—they’re so friendly and welcoming. The service is always super fast, and the sushi is absolutely delicious every time! Whether you’re short on time and craving fresh, tasty seafood or looking for a great place to eat with family or friends, this is the spot. The location is perfect, the staff is amazing, and the food never disappoints. Highly recommend!

I have seen this food truck for a while and finally caught it when it's opened. Seeing not a lot of people I was wondering would it be good, but I was blown away.
The skewers are cheaper than outside and just tasted so amazing. Seasoned perfectly and grilled to perfection. Eating outside with the setting sun definitely sets a good mood to enjoy the food.
Definitely need to try the lamb kidney, chicken knee, chicken soft bone and meat, beef tongue, and must order the Naan, it is more Northern Chinese Naan bread, and it is so soft and pillowy, we ate both of them so quickly.
A must try in richmond.

This spot is great for a nighttime snack, the skewers here cost less than the ones at the Richmond Night Market which is nice. 🍢👍🏻
Although they have an order online page on their website, it didn't work for me so I just called them to order.
When I arrived I was able to pick up quite quickly and they tasted great too. 😋

Great hotpot and great service. Wonderful choice of sauces at the sauce bar. Broth/soup base came out fast and was really good. Service was wonderful, all dishes were explained in both Mandarin and English to our mixed party.

Beautiful restaurant for hot pot! It’s my second time at this location. The service was fantastic, very attentive and efficient, we didn’t have to wait long for anything. Our drinks were continually refilled, the plates were cleared often and the food was brought out with little wait. I highly recommend the creamy pork broth. It comes with a side of chicken to cook.
It is a little on the pricier side, but we left very full and satisfied. Loved the jelly station!
A fun and interactive dinner, with ample time for conversation as you prepare your meal. The complementary ice cream at the end is a refreshing way to end a meal!! Reservations recommended!

Great atmosphere and service for hot pot. Great mix of variety but is a bit short of volume when it comes to the meat compared to some other hotpot places. This would be a 5 if you prefer service and ambiance vs amount of meat offered.

好吃到說不出話 ☺️ everything was great! Tomato soup base is soo tomatoey, we were told they make the soup base in house with fresh tomatoes. All the ingredients seemed really fresh and were presented well. The sauce that was prepared for us was great. The menu lacks a larger variety of tofu options. The noodles are sooo chewy and good, the green colour was our fav.
But honestly, the side dishes and dessert bar were the highlight for me. There’s not as big a variety as Haidilao but the quality was great. The kimchi side dish was bomb, the cantaloupe was super fresh and sweet! The dessert jelly was wonderful 🫨 super refreshing and great way to cleanse the palette at the end of the meal.
The complimentary soft serve ice cream was soo good too, it was super milky and the cone was so crunchy.
The server was attentive and nice.
3 of us dined for $185 before tip.

It is SO good, perfect portion, taste, price and service. I can’t be happier and I will be back. The cashier was patient and observant- two people ordered one dish but still gave two sets of utensils. It is not everyday you also get someone politely bowing to thank you. My friend introduced me and I want to introduce this place to the whole world!!! It is great place for a late night order as they open until late too. 11/10 😇👍

Piping Hotpot in Richmond offers a decent hotpot experience with a pay-by-weight system, which is great if you prefer to control your portion sizes and avoid waste. The variety of ingredients is quite good, with plenty of fresh meats, seafood, vegetables, and other hotpot essentials to choose from. Whether you’re craving classic thinly sliced beef or fresh seafood, there’s something for everyone.
However, the deep-fried section was a bit of a letdown. The selection was quite limited, and what was available didn’t look very appealing. The food was overly dark, clearly over-fried, and lacked seasoning, making it one of the weaker aspects of the meal. If you’re coming here with hopes of enjoying some crispy, flavorful fried snacks, you might be disappointed.
Service was okay—nothing particularly outstanding but also nothing to complain about. The staff was generally attentive and efficient, though it didn’t leave a lasting impression.
One of the highlights of the meal was the ice cream. It was a pleasant surprise and a great way to end the meal. The flavors were rich and creamy, making it a nice contrast to the savory hotpot experience.

We tried the deep fried food and also the hot pot, everything is really good. The soup was good, but I think the highlight of our meal was the deep fried pork intestine.
Service was AMAZING!
Prepare for the wait, you can put down your name and number, once they have a table available the system will contact you which is convenient.
I look forward to my next visit!

The fried food section is great, especially the lamb and pineapple shrimp skewers. The hot pot noodles were also done well. We noticed the back cares about the food - the food was arranged in an organized manner vs other hot pot places (see picture). The spicy broth (mild) could use more flavor though.
The pictured items and a drink came to less than $50 shared between 2 people. The value for money is fantastic. We even had a bit of left overs (lunch the next day!). We will return.
Special shout out to Kayla - THANK YOU for taking care and being so attentive to my pregnant wife - we sincerely appreciate you!

My friends and I decided to try this place (first time) last Friday. It was too busy at first but then the lunch time crowds came just after noon time. The seating is nice and comfortable - not as cramped as other hot pot places. The food was good and lots of tasty broths to choose from. We found that our food lost its heat faster than the other places. Service was friendly, but there are still learning curves: forgot my drink and I didn't get utensils. The dessert was ok. Ours wasn't piped into the fish - we just stuffed the ice cream in. Overall a good experience. Will try again in a few months and see if there are improvements.

Thank you CLAIRE for being a wonderful host and staff member. We showed up despite being 38th in line, and she got us seated as soon as she shuffled some tables around since there were many others on the waitlist but nobody actually there and waiting. The area to get your food can be a bit squishy but variety wise, the same items as competitors. The best part is their soup bases- many more options vs competitors. Also, love the deep fried section, so unique! Our favourite soup is the 3 Delicacies.

This restaurant is more about the atmosphere. The food looks appetizing, but the taste is not as good as the typical BBQ spots. The only dish I would recommend is the Malaysian shrimp stir fried rice noodles.

Had an awesome night out at this newish upscale, Asian fusion restaurant. The whole dining experience actually exceeded my expectations. Spacious restaurant with comfortable sitting. The restaurant was a bit dark but we were sitting in the booth with adequate lighting. Staff was friendly and gave us recommendations when asked. Food was delicious and well executed. Portions were surprisingly big and at affordable prices (unless you order some really expensive steaks! 😅). Not many fine dining options in Richmond so it’s definitely a nice addition to the area.

Absolutely amazing! The food was incredible, cooking and seasoning of the steak was on point, beautiful presentation and nice vibe. The staff were extremely polite and pleasant to talk to and I really enjoyed my first visit. -2 points of the atmosphere because it was pretty cold inside so I didn’t take my coat off the entire time, but other than that I’m really looking forward to trying the chocolate dry aged steak next time (I was a bit sceptical and didn’t dare order it this time, might be braver next time).

We had a wonderful dining experience at the restaurant last night! From the moment I walked in, Parisa, the receptionist, greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel right at home. Our waiter, Gordon, was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was excellent; each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. Been wanting to try this place out for a while.
Glad I finally found time to visit, and I'm not disappointed at all.
Ordered the Super 10 (chicken), and the 12' soft burrito (beef) combo. The ingredients in the soft burrito were nice and fresh. The tater tots were really well done. Light and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The crispy chicken burritos were good by itself; it had a sweet aftertaste. Plus, I recommend you dip your tater tots with the salsa they give you.
The service was fast too. Came here around 2:30pm on a holiday (Remembrance Day). Ordered and everything was ready within 10 minutes.
I'll definitely be back if I'm ever at this food court. Very well done. Highly recommend if you want your Tex Mex fix.

Still one of the best places to get a fast taco salad. Toppings are great and that deep and crisp shell really stands out. Miss the days when you could pour the salsa on top by yourself but I guess covid changes things. Crisp tater tots complete the meal.
Update: March 2024... glad to see their taco salad are still good.

This spot has been around for ages and always reliable with their quality and service. Their tater tots are hands down the best around! Crispy, soft and tasty! Always end up going with Taco Luis when I visit this food court, no competition.

This food court stall doesn't look like much and I wasn't expecting much from this place at all. However, I was quite surprised to discover they serve some of the best Tex-Mex food I have ever tried. I had 2 of the chicken crispy burritos and they were made fresh and fried to order.
PEOPLE! THIS PLACE HAS THE MOST AMAZING UNIQUE SWEET SALSA! Like for real.... You need to try their salsa... It's tangy, refreshing, and sweet. This is not some typical store bought salsa but it's definitely one of a kind. And the crispy burritos were very very good. Like freshly junky very very good. It really hits the spot for its genre of food. The prices are quite fair too. A food court must visit.

I've enjoyed butter chicken and rice countless times, but my most recent experience with Fusion Curry and Donair was genuinely exceptional. The butter chicken was perfectly balanced, with a rich, creamy sauce with just the right amount of spice. The chicken was tender, juicy, and infused with the flavours of the sauce, making each bite a delight.
The rice was fluffy and aromatic, complementing the butter chicken beautifully. The combination of the two was a match made in heaven—each mouthful was satisfying and left me wanting more. This recent try has set a new standard for butter chicken and rice, and I can't wait to go back for more. If you like this classic dish, this version is a must-try!

I visited this place and was quite disappointed. The food I ordered was underwhelming for the price. The portion size was small and lacking flavour. For 18$, I expected better quality and more generous servings: the food didn’t meet my expectations. I hope they can improve the freshness and taste of their offerings as well as provide better value for money.

I recently pre ordered the donair wraps from Fusion Curry and Donair in Lansdowne mall for a party, and they were an absolute hit! The wraps were packed with flavor—juicy, seasoned meat, fresh vegetables, and a perfect balance of creamy sauce. The bread was soft yet sturdy, holding everything together without getting soggy, even after a bit of time.
Guests couldn't stop raving about how delicious they were, with many going back for seconds (and thirds!). The donair wraps were not only tasty but also convenient and easy to enjoy in a party setting. They added a unique and satisfying option to the menu, making the event even more memorable. Highly recommended for any gathering!
Even though all the staff was too busy but still they gave me a very good polite and respectful service

I recently discovered a new poke bowl place in the heart of Richmond at Lansdowne Center. Their portions are super generous at a great price! The staff is also friendly, and the wait is never too long. My go to is their build-a-bowl with seaweed tofu, roasted yam, and whatever other veggies you want. If you are a bowl person, it’s like Freshii, but better with a Japanese fusion with all their different sauces. They are always super generous with their sauces, sometimes maybe a bit too much 😅 For one protein and three different vegetables, it’s just under $13! Where can you go to get such a good deal nowadays for such wholesome Asian vegetarian food? Definitely recommend! 👍🏼

Tucked in the corner of the food court at Lansdowne Centre, this hidden gem offers exceptional sushi at very reasonable prices.
Fresh seafood, large portions, and an assortment of dishes, the pictured "Chef Bowl," and the torched "Aburi Kaisen Bowl." were both priced under $20 each, and that's tremendous value for the quality and portion size.

I had a tasty meal here on a weekend afternoon. Despite arriving just before 3pm, the wait time was around 20-25 minutes. The portion sizes were generous, especially for the price, but I did wish there was a bit more curry to balance it out. Compared to other Japanese curry spots like Saku, this experience was well worth the $13!

My first time ordering Japanese food from Katte and I can say it was very good. The ikura and salmon sashimi over white rice along with avocado, cucumber and wasabi aioli was sooooo hood! It was worth $19.
Sandra Chan - 4 months ago
My go-to for cheap Japanese curry. Food is great and I love how they give two giant pieces of chicken with the chicken katsu. (See picture... Though by the time I took the photo I'd already eaten a few pieces.) Chicken is always crispy and delicious. Curry is flavorful and satisfying, and rice is fluffy. I would give them 5 stars except they are quite stingy with the amount of curry...I really wish they would at least fill it to the top of the container but there's always 1cm left of room at the top (not to mention a gap at the bottom of the container). Whenever I eat here I have to be very careful not to run out of curry sauce. Personally, I'd like the option of paying extra $1-2 to have more curry with my meal.
Random other notes if you're planning to eat here: They always seem to be sold out of pork katsu around dinner time. Would try to eat here earlier if possible.
