Fresh slice at Joyce St. is one of our favorite pizza stops. We always order a whole pepperoni pizza as it is more affordable if you are a Family. The place is clean, smells good, and the staff are very friendly. Pizza's are freshly made and the dough, sauce, and toppings taste fantastic and not greasy. They also participate in "Too good to go" app so it also fights good waste. Kudos to the staff at Joyce branch always a great experience.

Their 0.99 cents slices of pizza yesterday was such a crazy experience 😂🤣 we had to wait 15 minutes because everybodys grabbing a friend hahaha. Despite of the long line, it was such a great experience during the Canada Day. Thanks for the amazing slices, it was worth the wait.😜

Alhamdulillah this is my go to place for halal meats. The prices are so affordable. The gentleman and his wife are so nice, polite and humble. Excellent customer service. Some of the items are even tax free. They will also give you free bag if you want one. May Allah bless them and grow their business even more.

Good grocery store for Indian/Pakistani food, spices etc. I bought some frozen foods from here that weren’t great, I ended up tossing them but I’m glad to have this place so close for spices and dry goods

It’s a great place to buy halal meat and asian foods (Pakistani and Indian items). Shoaib bhai is a down to earth guy, I recommend this place over Al-Salaam meat because Shoaib understand what Indian and Pakistani people eat and how should the meat get cut.

This is a nice, simple Japanese restaurant for lunch. Everything was pretty decent and fresh, similar to what you’d find in many other sushi places in Vancouver since there are so many of them. My only comment is that the seating wasn’t very comfortable, and the place is small, but that’s nothing to complain about since my stomach was full. The service was very attentive, and the price was average, making it well worth the spend.

Fairly extensive menu with average prices! We liked the unique nigiri sushi clock on their wall. Limited seating inside with a few tables and a couple booths. Had their Mango Mango Roll. It was colourfully presented! Nice textures with the crunchiness of the tempura and toppings, balanced with the coolness of the mango. My friend had their Oyako Don (no issues). Service was pleasant and prompt! Would return to try other menu items.

This is my GO TO takeout spot for sushi. Not once have I seen them empty on takeout orders or customers, because their sushi's keeps them coming back. They have sushi pizza, which isn't something you see very often. I love their generous slices of sashimi, nice and fatty. Some places will give you paper thin sashimi, but don't expect that with Sushi Taku. Everything tastes fresh here, and their waitresses are also friendly. It can be difficult to find parking though, if the street isn't available. Would I come back again? Absolutely. I love coming to this place🙂

This place has been around for years, and was recommended. The food was good. Service was fairly quick and friendly. It seems like the sushi chefs are Japanese, which is rare these days. They also offer black rice for an extra charge. Free street parking on the side roads. #sushivancouver #sushi #letsguide

The best spot for pizza in the neighbourhood, and definitely my top 3 pizza slices in the whole city. I absolutely LOVE how the crust is soft and doughy and never dry. They’re pretty generous with topping, and always have a good selection to choose from. My faves are the spicy beef and the bacon mushroom. Hawaiian and sausage are pretty good too! The owner and team are always welcoming and friendly. You can tell this is a place that cares for its customers and the community.

It’s a very bready, more dough heavy pizza. Like eating cheesy bread. Comparable to Yummy Slice Pizza in taste but not as good as Freshslice pizza in flavour. The crust could be cooked more as it’s not crunchy and still a bit moist and soggy and borderline undercooked. The tomato sauce used is also put on quite thin (see pics) and more tomato sauce would make it taste better as there was barely any tomato sauce on the pizzas. The Italian sausage pizza was one of the better flavours. Does the job of feeding you.

This place is comparable to freshslice, definitely "fresher" and less greasy. The boss was okay, no smiles coming from him but no attitude either. Just okay $3 per slice is a good price. It's thick crust, not thin so that's more filling too. The dining atmosphere isn't the greatest, unless you enjoy quiet spots. However, during lunch hour this place will get pretty busy and there isn't much of a view from inside the store. However, it is cozy though. Bear in mind there isn't much eating inside, and it can get tight in there. Not sure about the parking, but it is super convenient for skytrain transit.

I have been coming here for years, they have the best Chilean meat empanadas. And the chacarreros are full of flavour. Amazing variety of Latin American products. Fair prices, also the desserts are so delicious. The Torta mil hojas is moist and not too sweet. The bread is delicious. The staff is very friendly. Feels like an original tienda from back home.

Best place for empanadas. I love the chicken and beef empanadas so much. They’re one of my favourite treats when I want a quick luck. Quaint shop with a large selection of specialty products. Their homemade sweets and cakes are divine and worth trying everything on the menu at least once! Their Brazilian pastels are also a great choice - the chorizo and cheese is my go-to.

Good location, could be a bit bigger. At dinner it can be quite hectic. They are generally quick with their online pick-up. The door is a bit awkward to open and close. As far as fast-food goes they are generally a solid choice. They have enough throughput that the food is fresh. Poutine is good for a fast-food option.

This place is such a convenient and affordable Hong Kong style cafe! Randomly decided to walk in and see how the bubble tea was and was superseded at how great the prices were! I just got a regular Taro slush with pearls bubble tea this time around but I want to come back to see how the food is. They also have a bar which is fun. This is definitely more of a casual spot for friends than a first date location though.

Update: The Missus and I have eaten at or take away a number of times from Milk and Sugar BBQ Bar since the first review. The BBQ meats (Char Siu, Roast Duck, Roast Pork and Soya Chicken) are always tasty with steamed rice. It's at the top for Cantonese BBQ meats in the Metro Vancouver area. Highly recommend the food. ******************************************************* We were biking thru Collingwood and stopped here for lunch. Had the roast pork and chicken with rice and the Missus had bbq pork with rice. Food was decent and lots of seating. Price was reasonable for food in the area.

Another good spot for the Hk rice plate. Very reasonable prices. The Roast Pork, BBQ Pork, Roast Duck have to say its meaty and, flavourful, tasty. Once again, ( back again ) Aug. 28 2024 2x in 1 month for this tasty diner bar. Once again, could not resist on the 2 meat platter rice plate. It was still good deal, plumped, juicy tender bbq pork, and crispy roast pork with large portions of steamed white rice with few gai lan on the side. Its good esp this time i had quite amount of sauces with the meat on the rice. Its much tastier and easier to consume with no sauces. Brings out more flavour on the white steamed rice. Also for note : which i confirmed the the Hainanese Chicken with Rice ( is just steamed white rice, not the chicken oil rice as suppose to be ). Will try the chicken next time. Once again, looking for to be back for the stir fry dishes, noodles etc. ( 2 meat with noodle ) next time visit. Highly recommend this place. Alot of regular city crews dropping in for a lunch meals or beer from tap cold beer. Good to support local small businesses to help them and also help ourselves in these indulging delicious yummy diners.

Have been to this location many times and the chicken is always consistently juicy and fresh. I got the half and half; soy garlic and yangnyeom fried chicken with shake fries. The portion of the fries was quite little so I recommend skipping those. But the chicken portion is pretty decent .

I had called beforehand and they said my food would be ready in 20 minutes but when I got there after 20 minutes I was told to wait another 5 minutes. I ended up waiting another 20 minutes! This is frustrating because I had called in advance and when I finally got my food I was asked to pay again even though I had already paid. At least the chicken was fresh and really good.

OBSESSED with Chicko Chicken's Yangyeom! I've never tasted anything like it before - the flavors are INSANE! The crispy exterior, juicy interior, and that addictive spicy-sweet Yangyeom sauce... absolute perfection!

In typical Filipino food court fashion, tons of dished but no prices. Ask for your food and find out how much it costs at the register. Two dishes and free rice cost me $17. Staff is friendly and explained every dish to me. Maybe they just chose the most expensive item for me? Employees have that one person who has manners and the rest of the crew act like they would from the Philippines. No personal space and walk through you when looking at dishes. Staff should let customers view their food without getting in the way.

My first order through Uber was canceled by the initial dasher without explanation which was a bit disappointing. However, I was pleasantly surprised with my second order. Not only did it arrive without any issues, but they also included an extra serving of rice. The staff was reallykind and thoughtful. I really appreciate this kind gesture. Thank you so much!🤗

Cafeteria style Filipino lunch spot low on ambience with pretty good food. A little expensive for what you get. Had the Plato bento which came with lumpiang shanghai ( two pieces, very good and meaty), pork adobo with rice (4 pieces of meat), mixed pancit (canton & bihon, meh), rice and a bite of buko pandan. My companion had a combo special: bangus sinigang (milkfish in tamarind based soup), ginataan kalabasa (squash cooked in coconut milk with shrimp and string beans) and a big bowl of rice. Overall a decent meal, but with so many options out there, we won't repeat.

I found this little gem just off of Cabie st. I ordered the Pad Thai. I customized my order to level 5 hot, with chicken, prawns and pork. Well, when it was handed to me, the details were in the making. The food was plated very professionally. From there on at the first bit, the Pad Thai hit the right spot. The depth of flavor, the texture, and the variety of spices was spot on for me. Each bite with a different meat was delicious. All 3 of the meats were soft and flavorful.. its nove very often I find a food truck that is doing it right. . I give Props to the crew 👏. The chefs setting the flavor and the details put into the presentation. Top notch. And many thanks for the great experience.. If you like Pad Thai.. you know who to look for. Thai Box On ATruck... doing it right.

I work at Hebb and Broadway where the truck is often parked. OMG, their cashew chicken is probably the best dishes I have ever bought. Amazing taste, ingredients and the portion size is fantastic! I often can't finish in one sitting. Not super cheap but great value for what you get. Friendly staff/owners too and not long to wait if lineup is short. HIGHLY RECOMMENED if you see them and your very hungry

I've seen this truck a lot outside my work building, and I finally tried it today. It is absolutely delicious, the food is very good and very flavorful. I ordered the Pad Thai and it did not disappoint, and neither did the staff, very friendly and welcoming! I will definitely be going back!
