This place was a quick find near my work, and turns out they’re great for the price you pay! great portions and great authentic taste and very quick service (I went there for my lunch break and did not have much time to waste, not only was I done with food and payment - I also had some extra time until my break ended!) I did not have cash so the lady upfront let me me with interac etransfer! would definitely recommend!

In the heart of east broadway, it’s a very busy cafe, great service. I ordered my favourite clay pot tofu with seafood, it comes with vegetables at the bottom, plenty of bbq pork, sea foods was very fresh and full of delicious oyster sauce.
Affordable price, huge portion, I would definitely go back to try other dishes on the menu. Cash only.

The restaurant definitely feels like a blast from the past, it kinda smells like commercial so cigarettes and weed which is not my favourite and it's kinda drafty but it adds to the experience and me and my friends are kinda crazy so 5 stars. The food is also decent, they have a big variety and it's pretty good. Overall I think it's a fun experience to come with friends.
I really like their deep fried prawns. And I want to try their brunch here too.
The photos are from 2 separate times we went.

Frank and I went to Trout Lake Beach for seeing Maple trees over there and we decided to having lunch in Kyle's Cafe.
We had fried rice, seafood noodle soup and deep fried Wanton, and we ate them all. The service was good and the price was fair, too.

An amazing hole in the wall serving chinese food/american diner food, hidden in plane sight on commercial drive. The store isn't much to look at but they have the best chinese food I've had in vancouver and their diner food is also off the charts! And it's all super reasonably priced deliciousness service is always top notch and the delicous food is aerved with a smile you can order out or eat in both are amazing. I love Kyle's and hope they're opened for another 30 years!!! My go to spot for cheap chinese food eats!

Really yummy pizza for super affordable price. I love how cozy (but very small) the space was to eat. Napkins and condiments were readily available.

I have been to this place many times, this is my favourite location to go to for pizza, girl named Harneet working there was really good from getting my order till serving me, she enhance the service with her skills and is really fluent in English, as I would say some other girls working here lacks in it and have difficulties getting my order correct.
Overall I’m more than satisfied wit the service and the pizza

Quick stop place to grab a generic slice pizza. Just a decent slice, nothing special about pizza. While workers give you quiet annoyance you arrived. The location allows fast pizza even though not one thing special about place or pizza.

I was on a pizza tour on commercial drive with some buddies and this was my second favorite. They had a really REALLY good white sauce and they have sesame seeds on their pizza. Even tho this was my second favorite, I dream of this pizza often. Was so good. This is a pizza you need to get for a family/friend gathering. Its gas.
Crust was a 5.5/10 --> I wanted to rate higher but I had to average out my vote with my partner. Personally I'd give it a 7/10
Sauce was a 8.5/10 --> The sauce was gas. It was a touch too acidic for me. But again, its tomato sauce. Still a big slay.
Toppings was an 8/10 --> The ingredients were yummy and the sesame seeds on the top were surprisingly good. I love them.
Vibe was a 7/10 --> Its a franchise so its similar to all the other pizza joints. However they have coke zero so its been saved a bit with that. People were nice too.
Durability was a 7.5/10 --> out of all the pizzas this had the weakest durability. The amount of sauce (that I personally like) made the toppings slide around. This isn't technically a bad thing.
Again I dream of this pizza. Big slay.

Great draft beer and pizza! Nacho was huge.....but it would be better if the edge wasn't burnt that much...some part of the pizza edge was too hard to eat.

We booked the back area section for a group dinner of 38 people on Jan 26th 2025. Everything we asked, they came through. The staff were amazing!! We had the best time!
The staff we had for the night could not have been better. The best! They were a pleasure to deal with on all fronts. They were quick to respond, they were eager to help, they asked questions, and they went above and beyond for us to make the night special. This place is a keeper and if you ever want to make a reservation for a group dinner, this is your place.. They were perfect! The food, especially the pizza is delicious! I will be recommending this place for sure. We have eaten here a few times and we always get the same amazing service, but this night was above and beyond. Thank you….your guys rocked! If I could give more stars ⭐️ I would.

Brussel sprouts were undercooked and tasteless. But I didn’t want to waste them, so took them home to try cooking them again in my air fryer. My friend’s chicken on her salad was undercooked too. Service staff was irritable. Chairs so highly uncomfortable that my neck hurt and head felt like it was gonna fall off after an hour of eating. Food is also not cheap. My only explanation of why this place is rated 4.1 on Google is because it’s a bar, so people have impaired judgement of what they’re experiencing once once they start drinking.

I ordered fish tacos for 2 people and fish and chips to share, but the fish taco for 1 person is so satisfying that we will eat the fish and chips later. Both orders were large enough to be worth the money. I would like to thank them for packaging all the ingredients separately since it was a fish taco to go order, so my taco bread did not get soggy, and I had a very fresh meal. I recommend it to everyone.

First time coming to Loku. Lovely space very cozy.
The prices are fairly reasonable especially today when most things are over priced especially for sushi rolls.
The service was fast and efficient and staff make great recommendations.

Food was good for the price. Now it is really hard to find sushi places for this affordable price.
One thing though, my salmon poke don, I wanted the veggies to be fresh but it was almost all picked like cucumbers, radishes and even green beans. So it was too sour. But other than that, it was good!

Cool local sushi shop on Commercial drive. The owner is super friendly and nice, have fun chatting with him if he’s not too busy. There’s sometimes some special things that aren’t on menu to ask for.
Their menu is quite extensive, and while more known for takeout and delivery, they have some seats available for dine in as well.
Pricing is very good and you get a lot for what you pay for. The food is good and the fish is fresh! Definitely a new go to sushi place for me. Give it a try if you’re in the area or looking for takeout or delivery.

Reasonably priced & fresh sushi place in Vancouver! Came here for special rolls and sashimi but their menu has lots of items. Too bad that they don't serve alcohol but we had a great time.

Ordered a bento box over the phone. Was a Saturday around 7pm. They had a 30 min wait. Not bad for their busy time. Service was quick. Was greeted by a man from the back while the woman at the front handled another customer. Food was good, quite filling for the price.

**5-Star Review for The Burrow**
The Burrow, formerly known as Bandidas Taqueria, has truly elevated the plant-based Mexican dining experience! As a vegetarian, I was thrilled to discover such a flavorful and creative menu. Every dish bursts with fresh ingredients, vibrant colors, and bold, authentic Mexican flavors. Their house-made salsas are phenomenal, and the vegan tacos are hands-down some of the best I’ve had. The warm, welcoming ambiance and friendly service make it the perfect spot for a cozy meal with friends. Whether you're vegetarian, vegan, or just love great food, The Burrow is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

The food at this vegetarian restaurant was absolutely delicious, offering flavors that pleasantly surprised me. Each dish had a unique taste that was different from what I expected, yet it was still satisfying and filling. I would definitely return for another delightful meal :)

The burrow has the best vegan nachos in town! The servers are super friendly and I love the simple vibes. For anyone who’s never been, the small nachos are ginormous on their own and more than enough to share between a 2-3 people. Or as your own meal ;) It’s not Bandidas per se but I’ll take it! Thanks for the vegan eats! Please stay forever

The Burrow is very inviting with the right balance of homeliness and modernity. The server seemed to really care that I enjoyed my meal and gave helpful recommendations. I got tacos and a horchata. Keeping in mind that everything is vegetarian, the tacos were very good! Lots of ingredients, textures, and flavours. The server recommended the horchata with oat milk and it was one of the best I’ve had. Best of all, I felt like I made a healthy and unique choice at the end of the meal. I would recommend The Burrow, and I would HIGHLY recommend if you are vegetarian.

We came here for brunch and before coming here I read up on reviews and many people said their cornbread was amazing. Well it definitely lived up to the hype! It was easily the best part of my meal. I ordered the Sherman Benny and everything about it was very tasty. The cornbread was not dry at all, still had that bit of crunchiness around the edges and actually had a nice flavour to it. Eggs were cooked perfectly and all the sides complemented really well. I would recommend for a nice gluten free/vegan place. I’m not a vegan but I usually find brunch really heavy and this was a nice lighter alternative. The best part was, all the servers were super friendly and attentive, we enjoyed our meal here! :)

One of the best we had.
Authenticity 5/5
Food quality 5/5 (The amount of diversity in their ingredients are crazy)
Food quantity 6/5 the portions were massive!
The price is really good for its portions.
Service 5/5 it’s not the friendliest to some customers they don’t really smile and suck up to you, but that’s how we like it. They’re fast and they do take care of you like legit Chinese aunties and uncles.
We will be def going back. Thank you for the great food!

Had the most wonderful group dinner (10 of us). The food was fresh, hot and exceptionally tasty. Large portions too! It arrived quickly after ordering. The staff were amazing - friendly and helpful service!
Notable items: Kung Pao chicken (excellent), Szechwan beans excellent) lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork, prawns with snap peas, beef and broccoli, and mixed vegetables (all the rest were fabulous too)!
The parking was challenging - several spots in the back. But definitely worth persisting to be able to eat there!!
Highly recommended!!

Very good food. Great portions however, high salt content takes away from each dish.
Crispy, fresh vegetables, fresh ingredients and seafood. Service feels dutiful yet efficient. No niceties lost here.
Ambiance is lacking. Large room, too bright, no real atmosphere or warmth.
Very clinical.
Some parking at rear.
Quick service but don’t expect conversation.

We had a great dinner here the other day! We walked in and got a table for 4 right away even though they were very busy! Won Ton soup was ok, the wonton fantastic however the broth was lacking in some flavour! The Honey Beef was Amazing as was the Spicy Green Bean….so good! The deluxe vegetable was ok, nothing mind blowing there. The service really stands out, it was so good! Everyone was very attentive! We enjoyed ourselves!

I walked passed the food truck and was excited to try Turkish food. I've never had it before. I've had different middle eastern cuisine though.
I asked what I should order and was told the kofte is the most popular. So I ordered it and the messy burger.
In my opinion it took too long as I waited 30minutes for my order and I found the food very bland and not flavorful. The kofte had no real taste and the messy burger was just ketchup and ground beef.

Turkish street food is in town for the first time! Finally👍 They are conveniently located on East Broadway at Commercial drive, yellow food truck. As a native street foodie I am happy to say you won’t be disappointed. Delicious just like the ones you’d get at Istanbul streets and probably higher quality. Great customer service! Try the messy/wet burger, Yengen, Cig kofte (vegan) and you might be even treated by some Turkish candy bars ( well it was my birthday 🥳). Definitely will be back!
