Great location!! Lots of corporate traffic during lunch and afternoon happy hour! Good happy hour selection. The patio is heated and covered. We sat there in January and it was perfect temperature just like sitting inside, very cosy and vibey. Would recommend sitting in the patio or the dining room. The music in the lounge area was very loud so a little hard to hear and have a conversation. So we were happy to sit in the patio. The washrooms are on the second floor and are accessible. The washrooms are very nice and clean and there is an elevator to get to the second floor if you can't take the stairs. Would highly recommend eating the salmon and the green burger and the truffle fries are a must! Can usually find a spot for a reservation same day if you check on their website. They do have a bit of a storage area if you're coming with some larger bags or things that you wanna put away just ask. Great service, they are used to large groups here.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cactus Club Cafe Bentall 5, located conveniently near Burrard Station, and it was absolutely delightful! The service was top-notch, with our server, Lois, going above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect. The food truly stood out, with the truffle fries and prawn sushi being particular highlights. The Mediterranean bowl was also amazing, bursting with flavor and fresh ingredients.
Aside from the food, the ambiance was fantastic, featuring a lovely view that made our dining experience even more special. This place has it all – great food, excellent service, and a beautiful setting. It’s definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for a quality meal in the area. Highly recommend!

This place never disappoints. One of the best restaurants in town. Every item on the menu tasted amazing. Looking forward to eating here again when I visit.

This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants of all time! The atmosphere is absolutely amazing, with a lively and inviting vibe that makes every visit memorable. The food is nothing short of delicious, and the service consistently goes above and beyond to make guests feel special.
We celebrated New Year’s Eve here, and it was an unforgettable experience—festive, fun, and filled with great energy. If you’re visiting, I highly recommend trying the Sangria for drinks; it’s perfectly balanced and refreshing. For the meal, the Bolognese is a standout—rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying.
I genuinely can’t wait to come back and create more wonderful memories here. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a fantastic dining experience, this place is a must-visit!

We came here for my mom’s birthday and loved the whole experience! Sushi was fresh and meat came out so fast. We’re from California, but this was one of the best meals I’ve had all month.

For sushi, I liked the tuna best. Did not like the spicy salmon. Didn’t like the pork, only beef. I would go back, as they are friendly and hygienic.

One of the best yakiniku house in Vancouver. If only it was closer to home, we would surely visit more often. Their meat is well-marinated & tasty as all of their other food as well. Service was great too, our server was very attentive.

It was my first time at the Coast. It was an amazing experience. Isabel was awesome with us. I haven’t experience that kind of service. Very friendly . They Accommodated us very well. The other staff was great as well. Ambiance was perfect.
Food was delicious. Especially the home made bread. Prices for happy hour was worth it compared to other places.
I have already booked my 2nd visit at the Coast. Hopefully I will have Isabel again.

Hi tonight my husband and I went for a date night while visiting Vancouver and we had an excellent dinner at Coast. The food was amazing ( flat bread, beet salad and gnocchi) the atmosphere is beautiful and the service was fantastic.
I’ve find great service is hard to find these days but our servers Laura and Sallie were fantastic. Laura was very attentive and professional and same goes for Sallie.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone going for supper on downtown Vancouver. And maybe you’d be lucky to have Laura and Sallie serving you.

We had an amazing time here! The food was super fresh and delicious. Our server, Aimee, was very knowledgeable about the menu, on top off being very helpful and personable.
I highly recommend this place if you're looking for great seafood with great service.

We had an amazing dining experience, thanks to Isabel. She thoroughly explained the details of each dish and even recommended some of her personal favorites. Her descriptions made it easy to imagine how the dishes would taste.
The clam chowder was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Packed with seafood, it was incredibly flavorful.
For the main course, I tried both the lobster pasta and the fish and chips. While the lobster was decent, it tasted as though it had been boiled in salt water and lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. The fish and chips were outstanding, crispy on the outside with firm, fresh fish inside.
To finish, the Warm Banana & Coconut Butter Cake was so delicious . The sweetness was perfectly balanced, and the rich banana flavor was my favorite

We had both a corporate dinner and a private dinner here before, and we had a wonderful experience on both occasions. The service was exceptional - very attentive and thoughtful.
One small suggestion for improvement would be for them to update or wash the patio cushions more regularly. We would recommend opting for indoor seating, as we noticed a smell from people smoking outside near the patio area.
Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend this place.

It was a nice meal
First, service was great. Everything is well attended. Very good services
Atmosphere was pretty much a steakhouse high end type
Most tables are celebrating birthday indeed and nice for dating
Food
Ok, the cheese bread is a must try
The salad was also very very good
The Wellington steak, well, very nicely cooked
Just I don’t feel too comfortable with it as it looks too rare inside to me. However, the beef texture and taste is very top quality
Last is dessert which is perfect
I love the whole thing, just it won’t let me give a 5.
Just not the right 5, may be 4.5 star?
A bit more detailed on whole services including front desk greeting, the table is fully ready meaning the tools, folk knife etc is right position and symmetric. Don’t let customer feels it’s a rush putting together at start.
But I would still highly recommended

i’ve been here a couple times with my family and the food is consistently high quality and delicious. my favourite thing on the menu is definitely the cheese toast, it’s so soft, warm, CHEESY, and indulgent. i definitely recommend getting it if you come, it’s the perfect way to start your meal. the beef wellington is also fantastic, it’s really well cooked and the crust was so buttery and flaky. the asparagus was soft and paired really well with the wellington. service was also great, as expected from a restaurant like this. this is a great restaurant to eat at if you’re celebrating something or looking for a formal night out !

Went here for the first time a few weeks back, and it was a great experience. Our server was very polite and gave good suggestions on different items to try. After living in downtown for more than a decade I decided to have my first birthday with my wife and this old but gold steak house. There are traditions and finesse dripping down from its old British deemed walls. The menu is well put and expensive. Our waiter was fun and politely opinionated with our choices and made us feel comfortable although we where the last customers. A memorial night and delicious new york steak! 🥩

Hey there! So, my husband and I have birthdays in the same month, and we thought, why not celebrate in style? I came across this super cool restaurant, and the place looked like it had such great spots for picture-perfect memories! I really wanted a table by the wall – you know, the one with those iconic frames that everyone wants to snap a selfie in front of. Sadly, we had to wait about 30 minutes to get it, but let me tell you – it was worth the wait!...
Now, my husband ordered the prime rib, which was apparently more expensive because, you know, it's prime meet. And it was yum! And get this – our waiter was so attentive! We asked for our steaks to be medium-well or well-done, and he explained how juicy they'd be and made sure we knew what to expect. He even shared a bit of history about the place, saying it was one of the few restaurants that still cooked with charcoal. Others apparently couldn't for safety reasons, but this place had renovated and got the green light to keep that old-school charm alive. How neat is that?
The whole experience was fantastic – I liked how they prepared the salad and dessert right in front of us! You can check out the videos I posted. If you're living in Vancouver or just visiting, I'd say definitely give this place a try at least once. It's a unique experience, for sure! The ambience, the polite waiters, and the visible kitchen really make it stand out. And hey, they even had a cheese birthday appetizer!
Overall, I'd rate it maybe a 9 out of 10. The food was great, but it wasn't like the best meal I've ever had, you know? It’s good to go there once, in my view. But I can't deny that it was a memorable experience, especially with our awesome waiter, Mr. Blair. He was so friendly and made our night truly special. Happy birthday to us, indeed! 🥳

Came here for the New Year’s Eve dinner. Our favorite was the snack and dessert. Everything was at excellent temps which didn’t go unnoticed. Especially with the full dinning room. We enjoyed our time here and already have recommended others to pop by. We both didn’t care for the main but that was probably personal preference. The staff were attentive and helpful. They brought a DJ in this year and that was a great way to ring in the new year!

Came here for a nice dinner and overall everything was ok but not great. I had higher expectations for a fine dinning establishment. I ordered a good amount of appetizers and mains however, we left feeling less than satisfied. Ordered the sable fish and salmon. I felt the portion size for both items were on the smaller size. The salmon was also little bit dry. The burrata and the goat cheese appetizers were both very good. I highly recommend both items.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hawksworth yesterday. My cousin & Aunt flew in from Philippines & I wanted to show them upscale Vancouver dining, so I chose Hawksworth.
Food was DELICIOUS. Fair portion sizes, delicious taste and presentation. Very reasonable prices for the quality. I highly recommend the duck confit in dukkah spice it was splendid. Excellent wine menu as well.
Atmosphere: B-E-A-U-TIFUL. Their crystal chandelier was decorated in Christmas ornaments for the holidays, lovely washrooms, beautiful bar and the staff all dress sharp. Being in the Hotel Georgia, it really reminds you of the Roaring 20's, but with a modern twist.
Service: at first we were delighted by the service, then disappointed, but they redeemed themselves phenomenally. We originally sat at the bar (no seats in dining) but as everyone finished their meals we got moved to the dining room. After our first course, it took 40 mins and still no food. It turns out they didn't even send it to the kitchen, due to miscommunication. Along with a few other mishaps (it happens), my diabetic mother was getting quite hangry due to her low blood sugar.
Our server Roman was extremely apologetic and management came out to remedy the situation. The care that they took to acknowledge their mistakes speaks volumes to their customer service. Mishaps are bound to happen but they made every possible effort to fix their errors and were professional, friendly and really showed they cared.
I will be sure to return because of how well they handled the situation, and how delicious and beautiful the food and atmosphere was.

Came here on a saturday night at 5:30, place was pretty crowded already especially with the bar area having happy hour guests.
We opted for the tasting menu. Everything tasted great, food were fresh and flavours were done very well. Shoutout to the desserts, they were simply phenomenal. However the portions are on the smaller side, with only a few bites for each course at its decently high price point, we left craving for more.
The service and environment was a little disappointing. Some, not all, servers made some careless mistakes, and did not feel entirely welcoming for such a fine establishment. Explanations of the dishes could be done better, and more care and finesse would make the whole dining experience a lot better.
Overall, the whole experience didn't quite hit the mark for our expectation for a fine dining experience, but the food was incredible. Depending who you get for service, the time of day, and where you are seated, your mileage may vary.
TLDR; Amazing food, smaller portions for tasting menu, highly varied service and dining environment.

Dropped by to try their lunch set menu which seemed like a pretty good price for 3 courses at this well-known restaurant.
The salmon gravlax was actually my favorite dish, a really light and fresh appetizer with a delicious creamy sauce.
The duroc pork was good; there wasn’t anything particularly wrong with it other than a portion of the pork tasting slightly dry, but I suppose I was expecting a bit more from the reputation that this restaurant has. Again, it was good, but it didn’t do anything out of the ordinary that may set it apart from another restaurant in my opinion.
The ice cream and bread pudding was good in terms of the ice cream, which was very tasty and I would definitely enjoy a large bowl on its own. The bread pudding however tasted cold and “gummy” in texture, which I didn’t particularly enjoy. I haven’t had many bread puddings however so maybe this is how it’s supposed to taste, but personally I wouldn’t order this bread pudding again.
I think that the lunch set menu was good for the price point, and I’ve heard that the lunch set menu rotates, so depending on the change in selection, I might be interested in giving it another try in the future. Overall however, I’d likely be more interested in returning to their sister restaurant, Nightingale, as I’ve been there several times and enjoyed many of the different options each time.

Everything about our experience was amazing. The restaurant itself is beautiful and inviting. All of the staff were professional and kind. Our server Marco was funny and incredibly attentive. The food and drinks were excellent and you could tell that they use good quality ingredients. We were celebrating birthdays and they made us feel very special. They even gave us a birthday dessert each! I live in Victoria, but I will definitely be coming back here. Thank you!

I hadn’t had a great overall dining experience in a while until I came to Black & Blue.
Food: 5+/5 - we dined during happy hour. We started with the Steak house Nachos and it was like no other nachos ever. Different and tasty. We had the prime rib special and it was cooked to perfection. The meat was melted in our mouths. We ended up ending the meal with Banana Foster flambé. They gave us a complimentary birthday dessert of butter cake which was heavenly.
Service: 5/5 - service was fantastic. They refilled our water glasses frequently and asked if we needed anything.
Atmosphere: 5/5 - the place felt festive with plenty of holiday decor. A great place to dine with family and friends.
Overall a great place to dine!

We went t o B+B for our annual Christmas dinner and had a pleasant experience despite the rocky start. there was a small leak and water was dripping but the management helped move the table. Our server Shelbey went above and beyond, to provide excellent service. She made sure I received lactose free meals and pastries and treated us to complimentary treats. Her Steak cutting skills are unmatched. Was a great experience and we will definitely go back!

We enjoyed a delicious Christmas brunch buffet at Showcase. I've visited many times for work functions and lunches. This was my first time coming in for their buffet.
The food was fresh and delicious. There was also a fantastic variety of cooked foods and a fresh salad bar.
My favourites included the seafood chowder, roast beef, cold seafood selection and desserts. There was a creamy Bavarian Mousse that was incredible, and the Ube Coconut cake was fantastic.
Reservations highly recommended. Definitely worth a visit.

The best restaurant in Vancouver (in my opinion).
Their poutin is the best!! I tried it last year (2023) and came back after exactly 1 year from Seattle because I couldn’t forget about that experience. Poutin this year was delicious, just like I remembered. They have gravy separately, maintaining the fries crispy!
I love love their cocktail selections too. They have everything from light and sour to sweet and heavy.
I will definitely come back to Vancouver just to visit here again.

I went for the holiday brunch buffet and it was pretty good. I didn’t ask for the name of my server but she was so kind and friendly from the moment we answer the restaurant till we left. She really added to the positive atmosphere for Christmas. Santa walked around and wished us Merry Christmas which I didn’t expect. That was a lovely surprise, too!! The fried rice and the carrot and the roast beef were so yummy~~!! I’m so glad I picked this place for my first Christmas meal~!!

A great place to have meal, usually it’s not crazy packed with guests so the atmosphere is very relax very spacious and comfortable. Servise are great, but the food does tastes and the food presentation does need to improve specially this is one of the top Marriott hotel in town before 2019, not sure what happened after Covid, maybe the head chef got changed ? I ordered the CARAMELIZED BANANA + PECAN BRIOCHE FRENCH TOAST $24 - chantilly cream, fresh berries, canadian maple syrup, toasted almonds…. It looks like a family run eatery plating in a fancy plate. The toast are soaked with syrup…. with warm half melted whipped cream…. Photo provided.

Not only one of the best restaurants in Vancouver considering their price range, but one of the most memorable culinary experiences you will ever have. It's a show, a miracle, peak hospitality. I feel like this place is all the service industry is about; great reception, amazing cocktails, the best food, delicious sake and one in a lifetime service. It's a must-go when you visit Vancouver.

We came here for the first time with our friends, to celebrate my wife’s 30th birthday. We had a reservation for 7:30pm for 8 people but had to wait for an extra 30-40 min to get our table. After finally sitting, we were optimistic and excited for the show/food. But we were all soon very disappointed. We came here more for the experience than the food but after looking around at the other tables we soon realized that their chefs were putting on a much better show. Food was mediocre, service was slow, and apparently they only had 1 bartender on a Saturday night during the holidays. A manager came to us at the end and heard our concerns. To compensate, she got the table a round of shots and approx $20 off each bill. That was appreciated, but I would have rather had the experience we all came for.
Would not return, rather go next door to Black+Blue

Save yourself a lackluster experience and go so where else for a good steak.
Visited tonight (New Years Eve 2024) for my daughter's birthday. We've been before and enjoyed our time but the word I would use to describe our experience this time is 'lackluster'. There was zero effort from our chef today. Did absolutely NOTHING to aknowledge my daughter's birthday. The only 'show' element he did was the onion tower. Nothing else. Felt like he want to get out as fast as possible.
You can get a good steak many places in town. You pay more here for the experience. We paid for good food and experience but didn't get any experience.
