It is a nice place near Paddy’s markets; the food is very delicious. I tried Crispy Chicken, Fried Duck, and Tom Yam. All of them are very yummy. It is the best place for tourists who seek halal foods around Haymarket. This restaurant also provides a prayer room—a great experience for me.

Came here many times for lunch and dinner and I assure you, this is the best Thai cuisine in the City!
Everything is Halal certified and the staff are super friendly and approachable!

Staff was a bit
unfriendly and arrogant. Toilet was super disgusting and wet everywhere. Flush from the toilet is broken. Food was fine, nothing special, and they forgot the Tofu in my meal although this was the main part… they replaced it at least but it felt very spicy afterwards, although I had asked whether they can make it less/not spicy, as I have a slight allergy.

This place is really hidden in Chinatown! It doesn’t have the fancy interior —— 🫵🏻BUT YOU SHOULD NOT MISS IT! 🫵🏻🫵🏻🫵🏻😎😎😎😎
Prob one of the OG ramen in Sydney that you can find the most authentic ramen and Japanese cuisine with the most affordable price! Everything on the menu is $20 or less 🤩🧐 the ramen was on a slightly stronger side, which’s actually closest to the one I’ve had in Japan 🇯🇵🍜🥢 what surprised me was the Menya Curry & Tori Kara-age which the fried chicken was so crispy and juicy 🐥🍗 the curry was made with beef stock base and even got some beef inside! ✨ SO GOOD!
What I ordered: 🥢
🌟Kogashi-ninniku Ramen (Pork) $19
🌟Teriyaki Wagyu Beef Ramen $18.5
🌟Menya Curry & Tori Kara-age $16 (Small size but it wasn’t small at all 🤣
Gyoza 🥟 $9.5
Seaweed & Fresh salad 🥗 $14

An authentic Japanese ramen restaurant located in Haymarket, Menya has stood the test of time, before various ramen shops started to open in Sydney. The broth here is relatively thick and simple. Presentation isn't that great but it's acceptable. The quality of the food used to be better. In addition, as the tables are close to the open kitchen, it does get quite hot. Overall, it's not too bad, and there are some set menus for better value.

it was an eye opener and made me question what kind of ramen have I been eating my whole life 😦 the ramen texture was amazing quality and generous amount of pork. the value sets def did not diminish the quality of the dishes served. only issue is the broth is too salty for us, would be great if they have a lighter broth option but overall great price, super friendly staff and our favourite lunch spot during our entire trip 😋😋

Fave Ramen Place.
I tried different ramen places in Sydney but this is the best when it comes to taste. The place is not that clean. But welp the best ramen in my opinion. Tho I don't recommend their chicken broth as it's too salty and oily.

It’s a good little store that definitely prepares some of the best donuts around central.
Having had Krispy Kreme donuts from 7/11 and Coles before, I had no idea that these donuts (simply glazed) would taste this much better when made in store.
I also liked how there was a place for students to study and charge their devices near the windows. Highly recommended but also bring a set a very good noise cancelling headphones if you do plan to enjoy a bite while you study.

The best Krispy Kream branch I have ever visited!
The decoration is so stylish and creative. Every corner in this tiny shop is perfect for taking photos.
I believe this is the big branch so they baked the donuts at the back of the shop so everything is fresh. They got all selection from meals to drinks.
There are plenty of seats to sit and relax. I will come back for dine-in for sure.

The salmon and avocado roll was really nice and fresh but the chicken one was a bit dry. Customer service was patient and lovely though.

Had an amazing experience at Great Southern Bar. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly attentive. A special shoutout to the tall guy with glasses, i think his name start with P or something . That guy went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Well, I’m on a dietary plan, and he made sure I had the right information and the best options available. His professionalism and excellent service really stood out. Highly recommend this place for great food, drinks, and top-notch hospitality!

We enjoyed our meal here. It was located centrally to pub transport which made it easy for the 8 of us to get there. The art deco was fantastic. There were daily specials which we par took of. The $16 jugs of beer, didn’t burn the hip pocket nerve. Food was great and the service was quick. We were politely told 30 minutes in advance, when we would have to leave as the venue was closing. On the whole a fantastic way to enjoy a family Christmas dinner

Tasty food but a bit expensive. We went in randomly and we were given the vibe that maybe it wasn’t for us considering how authentic it was. Nevertheless the staff helped with our order and it was a really tasty meal. The menu has some hefty items (over $100 a hit) and I feel like it’s perhaps a fancy Chinese restaurant. Felt like a good experience but perhaps a little too much money for what we got.

Had a lovely experience here. The entrance looks normal but the interior is nicely decorated with Chinese elements. The restaurant is pretty empty on Sunday night. We had the coconut fowl soup, the Budda delight soup, two fish dishes, lamb, chicken, pumpkin rice. The soup were good but the portion was small for its price. The rice didn't look very appealing but I like it. The other dishes are so so.

The soup and steamed rice is hella yummy and wholesome 😋
Had the abalone chicken clam soup for dinner as I was craving for home cooked canto soup. This place really lived up to the expectations and the lap cheong pork rib rice was delicious.
The bean curd veggies was also on point and definitely a great place to go if you are craving for clean canto cuisine.

Came here for dinner for the first time and it was a little disappointing. Had preordered ahead of time but still took them 20mins to confirm order - definitely understaffed. The dishes in this review plus one very plain fried rice (not even with meat) came to an eye watering $550 which is exorbitant for Chinese food. I think there’s probably better places that is far cheaper.

I don’t know how I came to love soup so much, I think I simply grew up drinking it. Soups to me is very important, I can drink any kind of soup every single day!
Double steamed soup at steam king are SO GOOD !!! They’re so traditional and are delicious !!! Hot soup “clear my heart” and steam king offers so many different kind of soups, we had the Buddha jump over the wall, coconut chicken and pork ribs soup, they’re all super yummy, as well as other dishes during the dinner! The papaya & bird nest for dessert absolutely blow our mind!!! 💖🙌🏽

Authentic Indonesian food tucked away in a quiet alley, so finding a seat is never an issue. Prices are reasonable, I got my bihun goreng for just 14.50 AUD. It's like a more relaxed, less-crowded version of the infamous 'Spice Alley' (If you are looking for a good fried rice/noodle), but with tranquility. I would like to visit again and try different food. Highly recommend!

Lestari is a true culinary delight for anyone seeking an unforgettable Indonesian dining experience.

Flavourful authentic Indonesian fried rice! They have the best nasi goreng in Sydney in my opinion but their opening hours are really inconsistent. I recommend calling them first before visiting to save your time.

Always a great night out for dinner. Lots of delicious food and great atmosphere with very talented chefs entertaining the guests with lots of games including catching raw eggs. The staff are attentive, very friendly and welcoming. If it’s your birthday the whole restaurant sings you Happy Birthday making it a very special evening. So much fun!!!

Having not experienced Teppanyaki before, we were not really sure what to expect. If in a large group, full of high energy, this was a great option. For those with neuro divergent tendencies or looking for a more mellow dining experience, I wouldn’t recommend it. There were fantastic elements to the night and the food was wonderful however as a family with special needs, it was a bit much for us. 4 stars given, purely because the food was amazing and can appreciate the effort that goes into making everyone’s night amazing!
