4 Star Rating I ordered Ebi Tempura Udon because they didn't have a Donburi (Rice meals). The prawn in the udon was big and crispy and delicious. The salmon nigiri was also very tasty. The sushi cola was interesting, I say it tastes like a cross between Cola and Sprite (It was written 'Japanese Green tea Cola'. If you want to drink alcohol, it seems that they only have Asahi beer here.

5 Star Rating Came here while staying in Sydney. Prices are on the higher end, but the fish is fresh and delicious. The scallops were soft and amazing, with the Wagyu Nigiri being buttery and a perfect end to the dinner. The atmosphere is great with the belt going around the sushi bar. They also offer at seat online ordering in case you don't see what you want on the belt. Would highly recommend for anyone that has never had conveyer belt sushi before.

5 Star Rating Sushi Train at Bondi Junction is a fun and friendly place to eat at any time of the day. The staff greet everyone as they walk in and again all yell out goodbyes as you leave. It’s really fun. The plates of food that role past are plentiful with lots of variety. You can even get yummy desserts and fruit bowls. The sushi chefs are constantly making dishes in the centre so you can see everything is freshly made.

5 Star Rating Unassuming facade and unexpected decor shelters absolutely superb quality food. Was in town a week and went twice because THIS PLACE IS GREAT. First time had the tasting menu, and we were all uniformly impressed with every dish. Highly Recommended Second time just selected dishes because we were not quite as hungry. Once again absolutely delicious.

5 Star Rating Japanese fast food but met all my cravings. Was quick and efficient and tasted good. Not too expensive but decent servings and very satisfying. Hits all the right spots. Got the salmon rice and udon with toppings- both good options if you’re craving easy affordable homey Japanese food.

5 Star Rating Mappen is a longstanding selt-serve udon bar on Sydney. It's the only one that feels like the 300 yen udon shops in Japan. Why? It's all about the ordering process. Pick your choice of udon. Small/large. Hot/cold soup. They make it fresh to order and give it to you on a tray, which you then slide down the bar and customise as you feel. Soft-boiled egg? Tempura flakes? Spring onions? How about different types of tempura like prawn or calamarı as a side? This cheap teed somehow feels incredibly royal. Never gets old!

3 Star Rating I ordered ramen deluxe. It’s weird enough to have pulled pork in ramen but it also has picked Chinese cabbage. The broth is a bit salty. However, the atmosphere is good and service is fast. It’s more like a fast food restaurant but with Japanese food. I told not to put bamboo and there was still bamboo in my ramen.

2 Star Rating The customer service was good. Tom yum and laksa both tasted like ultra processed sauces and powders. Extremely sweet and unhealthy, the tofu was so deep fried it didn’t taste like tofu at all. The noodles were gooey and weird. I feel bad after eating here. The restaurant should focus more on real quality and not only cheap stuff. The door was open during rain and wind, so it was very uncomfortable and the metallic table and chairs didn’t make it any better. Sorry!

4 Star Rating 👩‍🍳 Food - 10/10 🌻 Vibes - 8/10 💵 Cost - 6/10 🌟 Service - 8/10 • • • Spring Street Nook Cafe is a cosy, little establishment located at the corner of the Royal Arcade. It's more of a buy-and-go place since there are limited chairs and tables to sit at if you choose to dine-in. Regardless, it has a pleasant vibe with decent service. The cost is on the pricier side, however the food and drinks are delicious. I purchased the "Green Goddess" juice for $8, which has a combination of (green) apple, baby spinach and mint and tasted very refreshing and nice. For food, I chose the "Bacon and egg roll" for $12 which tasted as it should and was super filling. This cafe is a nice place but you should expect to spend around $20-$30 if you plan to have a meal with a drink. If you're only doing a coffee/drink and pastry, it'll definitely be under $20.

If you go there for drinks be sure to bring some cash as there is a $20 minimum on card. 4 Star Rating If you're looking for a good chicken schnitzel - Goodtime Burgers within the Eastern hotel is hard to beat. They have a very solid standard schnitzel, with the option to "supercharge" it. Supercharging your schnitzel is basically turning it into a pizza-like topping on top; extra sauce, extra ingredients , extra flavour. A supercharged schnitzel will fill you up for sure! Seating can be an issue at times. They have limited booths around the edge of the venue, and some round bar tables - so my suggestion would be to try come outside of peak timing.
