4 Star Rating The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, making me feel welcome right away. I ordered a matcha latte with almond milk and an avocado toast. The avocado was wonderfully fresh, though the bread was a bit on the stiff side. On the other hand, the croissants were fresh, flaky, and absolutely delicious. Overall, it was a great experience.

4 Star Rating This was a cute little place I had to suck into for a meeting when I didn't have wifi available. The things is, THEY DIDN'T HAVE WI-FI EITHER! 😂 Anyhow, I ended up using my phone as a hotspot and stayed because it was nice and relatively convenient. It's a Bit noisy with clinking glasses and plates, etc. but also really pretty inside. The staff was very nice and sorry the wifi didn't work. Plenty of cool seats And table options. Vibe is #aight.

2 Star Rating I’m usually not picky about service, but this experience left me sad and uncomfortable. The difference in service for certain customers made me question my presence here. I hoped that the food would help me ignore all this, but even that was mediocre.

5 Star Rating Returned for lunch after a long absence. Had the steak sandwich and Jerk Chicken Wings along with a Greenport beer. The guys I went with had a spicy chicken sandwich and a burger. The burgers and sandwiches come bare so we ordered a side of cheese fries to share. We all agreed that the wings and fries were fantastic and the sandwiches & burgers were great. Caught up with a little Euro cup while we ate. Very positive experience.

4 Star Rating Expansive beer list with interesting offerings on draft. The staff were attentive and friendly and the space was well laid out: plenty of varied seating (high tops, regular tables, a long bar). The food is normal Americana pub fare with wings and such and the prices were reasonable. I didn't notice a happy hour special but would definitely return.

4 Star Rating Good food but a bit overpriced for the portion. I had their lunch "Feast", and since I am vegetarian, instead of a chicken choice, I asked for two veggies (mushroom bhaji and sarson ka saag). When the waitress asked if I wanted rice or naan or both, I chose only rice, which I came to regret, as the portions were quite small, and I was still hungry after wiping clean the entire plate. There was a good lunch crowd, all the seats were taken, and an older gentleman vacated a bar stool next to the serving counter. He sat on the other bar stool to work on his laptop. Later he asked me how I liked my food - I realized he was the owner of the restaurant. Seeing his turban, I asked him if he was Sikh? Yes he was - then he must be a vegetarian too (no wonder the veggie dishes tasted so good!); and also like me, a meat-cooking vegetarian :-). All in all, I liked the food, but wished for a better portion.

2 Star Rating The building itself is pretty nice, and the upstairs seating is well kept. However, this particular order was for breakfast, and it didn’t go well. I think the language barrier might have been an issue because I specifically asked for unsweetened tea and received enough sugar to give my family tree diabetes. The patty was burned, and the ketchup—questionably unsanitary—was put directly on top of the fries. The place wasn’t particularly busy, and the staff seemed content, which gave me a nice Washington Heights vibe. But based on this experience, it’s 2 stars at best.

5 Star Rating Absolutely delicious Indian and Southeast Asian Cuisine! The butter chicken is moist and flavorful. The samosas have a flaky yet tender crust with a fresh and well seasoned potatoes & peas filling. The garlic naan is so fragrant and soft, the perfect vehicle to dip in the butter chicken. Oh and their sauces are freshly made and among the best we have tasted. Don’t forget their mango lassi, it’s a winner every time.

5 Star Rating Exquisite Dining at BENARES: A Culinary Jewel on Tribeca, NYC Nestled on 45 Murray Street, BENARES transports its guests to the rich culinary traditions of Northern India with a modern, upscale flair. From the moment you step inside, the warm ambiance, impeccable service, and vibrant aroma of spices set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. For starters, the Benarsi Kachori is an absolute delight. This traditional dish, masterfully crafted, boasts crispy lentil-stuffed pastries paired with tangy tamarind and spicy mint chutneys. Each bite is a harmonious blend of crunch, tang, and spice—a perfect introduction to the meal ahead. The pièce de résistance is undoubtedly the Laal Maas, a fiery Rajasthani lamb curry. This dish showcases tender, slow-cooked lamb in a rich, bold, and aromatic sauce infused with Kashmiri red chilies. The depth of flavor is extraordinary, balanced perfectly with the heat, making it an essential order for spice enthusiasts and anyone seeking a truly authentic Indian delicacy. Complement your meal with freshly baked garlic naan and a side of aromatic saffron rice to elevate the experience further. The cocktail menu and wine selection also deserve a mention, offering thoughtfully curated pairings that enhance the flavors of the cuisine. BENARES is not just a restaurant; it is a celebration of Indian heritage and culinary artistry. Whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur of Indian food or exploring it for the first time, BENARES promises to captivate your senses and leave you longing for your next visit. 2 Star Rating Location : 154 Church Street NYC 10007. I never had potato flour pizza before and it wasn't bad. It's not like the real pizza but for a quick bite it was pretty good. Seemed undercooked, nope that's the pizza itself. Pizza is chewy and elastic feeling. The sauce is hard to identify and the cheese is an average grade cheese. I compare this pizza to Papa John's.

4 Star Rating Great Food, but Service Needs Improvement The pub has a cozy atmosphere and serves excellent food. The quality of the dishes was impressive, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. However, the service left something to be desired. The waitstaff seemed more engaged with each other than with the guests, which made it difficult to get their attention. A bit more attentiveness would greatly enhance the experience. Overall, if you’re looking for great food and don’t mind a laid-back service style, this place is worth a visit.

4 Star Rating While exploring the area, I stumbled upon this bar and was pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was, with plenty of seating available. I really enjoyed the open and comfortable vibe. This is an English-style pub, so they offer a great selection of traditional English dishes and beers. We ordered nachos and calamari to share, and both were delicious with generous portions at reasonable prices. However, one downside was the service. Our server wasn’t very polite. After we placed our order and asked to keep one of the menus, they tossed it onto the table without a word and walked away. Throughout our two-hour stay, the server’s attitude remained unfriendly, which made it feel like they were having a bad day. While the food and ambiance were great, the service could definitely use some improvement.
