Wanted to see a march madness game and found this place on a recommended list. Called ahead and got the best treatment from the owner (I think?). He remembered my name from our call when I walked in, checked to make sure we were getting helped and was one of the friendliest restaurant staff I’ve met in NYC.

Dining outdoors was an excellent experience. The street is filled with tables from all the restaurants. Almost all the tables were taken around 6 pm, but it slowly became less crowded. The hanging lights made the street even more aesthetic, in addition to the stone street. This is a great choice to dine and spend time with close ones. It is a quick walk from the pier, which is another great place to stop by! Fulton.

Beckett's has been a staple in the heart of the Financial District for over 20 years. The food is simply delicious. The chicken quesadilla was loaded with deliciousness! The wings were honey garlicky, finger licking awesomeness!. Our lovely waitstaff Breege, was a pure delight. When you stop by Beckett's, make sure to say hello Breege and Ronan. Let them know that Mstickleryourfoodie said hello!

Excellent service and good food. We are group of 6people to have nice birthday for our friends. As soon as we got into the restaurant, they greeted us and checked our coat smoothly. All the staff were nice and kids friendly. Inside is decorated antique& modern in a nice way. We got several kinds of steaks and I tried all of them. I decided 2 recommendations. One is potter house steak and the other is crab cakes. Potter house steak is not only grilled perfect but also seasoned very well. Juicy meats were fun to feel the texture and taste. The crab cake was an unexpected and ambitious project for a steakhouse. They made it fresh and moist but not too dry. It’s enough for crispy crust and moist inside crab meat. Generally all other foods are good. Oh, their dessert has a long history and I could understand how they keep the long history. It was tasty. cocktails are fresh and pretty.

This was an excellent experience of the first fine dining restaurant in America, and it was worth it. They delivered on great flavors, a wonderful atmosphere, and an old school charm to service. If you're able to get a reservation, do so!

Had an amazing experience with the service being next level! Ask them about their restaurant, you can tell they are proud of where they work. You can’t fake that. We even got a mini tour by the GM taking time out of his evening, they should be proud of that place. Amazing food with their signature cut steak and beautifully presented, light(ish) and refreshing Baked Alaska to top it all off. Wow!

I have to be honest. It is worth to visit once but not necessary for the steak. The highlight and my favorite part was… the ✨✨✨complimentary bread on side. Really really great.
We had the restaurant week brunch:
For appetizers we chose tuna crudo and crab cake. Both delicious but somehow not that impressive. Like they were outstanding but I might find somewhere else serving better ones.
Our main dishes were steak fries and shrimp with grits.
I recommend ❤️🔥grits! It was so creamy but not overwhelming. Shrimps were huge, 3 pieces, fair enough.
And the steak… dried and hard outside. Inner part was delicious tho, and they cooked it medium rare correctly. But outside the cooked part was dry, kinda cant balance the temperature in and out. Still, their fries were delicious.
Dessert were good looking, making traditions different.
The Alaska was impressive for sure but the taste of banana ice cream took over the whole plate. Otherwise it should be an elegant dessert.
Chocolate layered cake was a classic. The malted ice cream on the side was a nice addition.

Amazing food and service. Definitely on the more expensive side but in my opinion worth it because of the experience.
The staff is extremely attentive. All of the details, down to the bread service of warm olive focaccia, was well executed. Their extensive wine, whiskey, and dessert wine menu were impressive and their sommelier was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Come with a group because the portions are quite large and you will need to share. I highly recommend the baked Alaska. For steaks, 6 of us shared the porterhouse for 2 and the eye of Delmonico. The eye of Delmonico was our favorite because it was so flavorful (but more fatty). As for the sauces, please skip the Sichuan peppercorn - it was the only thing that missed (was kind of sweet and sour and a weird consistency). The blue cheese sauce was great though.

Beautiful venue. My company just had its summer party there. Open bar. Lots of food and people carrying trays of items. Fantastic views of Ellis island, the statue of liberty, governors island, and the bay. Very nice. Right on the water. Lots of trees, and embedded in a park, so very green surroundings. Beautiful place.

Went here for a small school reunion with my friends I went to elementary/junior high school with, who we hadn’t seen each other in over 20 years ....and the drinks, food and atmosphere was AMAZING! Their pizza is DELICIOUS! And we sat at the outside bar, it was July so it was hot but the view is spectacular of Liberty & Ellis island! We all had the best time!! And prices are decent for NYC!

Love it and the vibe, and fun servers and we met great people there, only tried the guacamole and Chios, but were good, love to try more next time. IF heading to New York City? This is a fun place with and warm atmosphere, especially at Christmas 🎄, we can't wait to see it in the summer.

Great bar, lovely drinks. The people I met whilst drinking here were lovely which reflects well on the bar. Only issue I found with this place was the toilets were very smelly and dirty although upstairs is spotless.
Unfortunately I didn’t try food here but next time i will give it a go!

My expectations for the overpriced Stone Street tourist traps have been pretty much non-existent, so this was a very pleasant surprise. After being burned for the second or third time over here, I pretty much avoided any of these restaurants as potential lunch spots for months. My Skipper and I came here for lunch yesterday (a Friday) around 1pm. Despite the excellent weather and prime mealtime, this place really wasn't crowded, even in their more-heralded outdoor picnic table area. No matter. We secured a high top close to the bar with zero issues.
Since we passed several people in Halloween costumes and there was a very slight Fall nip in the air, I decided to go with a Hot Toddy ($14); tis the season. It was very good. A LITTLE more citrusy than I would prefer (lemon is usually pretty prominent in this drink, to be fair, but I like the sweeter variations of this) but still hit the spot. And the temperature remained hot throughout consumption of the beverage, which was a selling point.
The menu item that caught my eye earlier and ended my Stone Street boycott was the Braised Beef Pappardelle Pasta entree ($23). Huge fan. In an interesting decision that paid off, they cooked it with fresh mint throughout, which gave it a fun, refreshing taste that I wouldn't have guessed paired well with everything else. It was a decent portion that I polished off pretty quickly.
The service was pretty good. The waitress was civil and pretty attentive but I wouldn't classify her as friendly, per se (which was a little surprising given how heavily a place like this caters to tourists). It took about 10 minutes to get my drink despite the fact that the bar area and overall restaurant were pretty empty, but the food itself arrived quickly and the waitress DID stop by a few times to check in; beyond the initial drink, I don't recall any point where we were actively waiting/looking around for someone to assist, and we were in and out of there probably within 45 minutes or so.
Even if this restaurant wasn't on Stone Street, I think the price point was pretty reasonable for the area overall - a legit $23 entree and $14 drink are arguably slightly lower prices than the average here. It's definitely possible and maybe even probable that the dinnertime crowd experiences higher prices than this, but I'm pretty impressed by the lunch situation here.

Stone Street is a great place for outdoor drinks and food, for groups especially. It's always a vibe and a great time. A New York staple, especially in the summer.
Our waiters at Stone Street Tavern were great! Quick with the orders and food and drinks. The food was delicious and menu had so many options. Lobster roll was fresh and lots of lobster. The parppadelle was surprisingly delicious, like creamy sauce and filled with meat.

Ducked off location. Bar was busy, and bartender seemed a bit weeded. Nonetheless, the taquitos were fresh and flavorful. The frozen margaritas were strong but tasty. I noticed they have a very decent happy hour available Monday thru Thursday.

Been to this location twice. Both times had a great experience. The guacamole is a must order for the group. We got the spicy guacamole and it was spicy, but not too spicy. The wings were a generous portion and spicy. Will come back!

Food was tasty but way overpriced and without reason. Standard nachos were $15 without meat and they only gave us 12 nachos (see photo)…$1.25 per nacho? I’m not sure how that can be justified in this case. Additionally, I ordered the chicken enchiladas and the chicken tasted boiled/ barely cooked and bland.
Also gave 3 stars due to the poor bar service. I sat at the bar from 1415-1900 yesterday and experienced 2 different servers (one female and one male). It was difficult to get the females attention due to her being glued to her phone screen, and when I finally did, she gave us a hard time because we wanted the beans on the side versus on the nachos. She literally told us “the nachos come prepared with beans so either you don’t have any or you have them”. As you can see from the photo, the chef indeed was able to put the beans on the side so I’m not sure what the big deal was. The male server also gave us an attitude because we asked for “light” sauce on the wings and he didn’t seem to fathom that concept. He also was slow and packed attentiveness like the female.
Other than service, stingy portions and inflexibility with the menu- the bar decor, vibe and music were all great.

Classic steakhouse with other options. They have some classic dry age grilled steaks but they do offer other things. I've had a few things here and everything has been above average. This evening I got the beef wellington, only served on Wednesday and in limited quantity, it was spectacular. Everything about it was good, the quality of beef, the crust, the sauce, even the carrots as the side were really tender. They also have a good size bar area that serves anything you can think of.
Victor Lao - 5 months ago
Are you hungry for beef wellington and possibly the best lamb curry in NYC? What if I told you that you can fill both those cravings at one location? You'll probably think I'm crazy but you should check out Harry's.
Located at one end of Stone Street, it's popular among the Wall St crowd and tourists. And I'm here to get my beef wellington fix, and my brother said they got the best lamb curry (I'll be the judge of that).
For starters we went with the lobster bisque, the smoked trout Deviled Eggs and the baked clams. The Lobster bisque is a real treat, first they present you with a soup dish with a decent amount of lobster in the center and then they slowly pour in the bisque from a tureen. The soup itself is rich and creamy and chock-full of lobster flavor and the lobster meat is fresh and quite a mouth full. The Deviled Eggs are okay not much to write home about I didn't really get much smoked trout flavor. My mom quite enjoyed the baked clams which had plenty of clam in them and delightfully garlicky.
For drinks I started off with a cocktail called scotchy scotch scotch; it tasted very much like scotch 😆. And then I moved onto a matcha lemonade, which tasted more of matcha than lemonade quite tasty, but I wish it tasted more of lemonade. Lastly I finished off with one of the Classic Espresso Martini and that was the perfectly delicious cocktail to finish off the meal.
Now on to the main course. I had the beef wellington and let me tell you if you ever want to have a simply marvelous beef wellington or if you had never had one before. This is the quintessential beef wellington. The puff pastry was flaky and amazingly buttery. The mushroom pate layer was earthy and full of mushroom unami. And the beef is a perfect medium rare. The knife basically glides through it like a hot knife through butter. And the truffle sauce *chef's kiss* now that's real truffle flavor. Also the lamb curry is also amazing too. I wish the curry had more heat to it but I guess that would detract from the delicious gamey-ness of the lamb and the wonderful symphony of spices. Truly, both are delicious dishes that I would dream of until I next dine at this establishment.
9/10. If you've been binge-ing hells kitchen and really want a beef wellington but don't want to have to cook it yourself. Have it at Harry's.

Very convenient location if downtown and nice clubby feel inside. Good for both business & non-business lunch or dinner.
Overall service was good...not exceptional. Asked for sparkling water and it seemed to come from a random bottle, not one opened and placed on our table. Not happy about that.
Atmosphere is solid...good for small or large tables. Festive around the holidays.
Food is good, but again not great. If you are going here for an amazing steak, you won't be wowed. Other foods were also good but portions on the average to smaller side.
I've been here many times but some people not used to the prices may be disappointed.
Paying $$$$$ for a $$$$ meal.

More a 4.5 than a 4.
Had a group of 20.
Was able to taste the Wellington, Filet Mignon, and Rib Eye. Filet was best of the 3.
Sides I was able to have the hash brown, Yukon puree (too thin, was almost like a soup, did not love it) Creamed Spinach. Of the 3 Hash brown is perfect and complements the food well.
The Burrata and Caeser for 2 was also good.
Waiter was very good, but the bar was missing some of the alcohol that was posted on the menu.
Yes, I would return, as this place was packed and an institution in the financial district

Had to try the Beef Wellington and it fell short on my taste buds and I’m not sure if it was worth the price. Soups are good but fish plates served with a huge piece of butter to save the taste is not the best choice.

I come to this location once in a while and order a chicken burrito. The burritos and bowls are good, but the sodium content seems much higher compared to a couple years ago. I don't think I added a chunk of salt during customization 😅, or maybe I'm just aging and my taste buds can't handle it anymore.

Salmon was delectable, 10 out of 10. Seasoning was spot on. Felt like I was at a higher end restaurant. The delivered eggs were fire. Worth every bite. The smoked salmon on top was an elegant delightful touch. My girlfriend had the chicken sandwich and she looked hung over with joy after that experience. Really awesome classic bar with great cocktails as well.

Checked out this vintage bar in the Financial District of Manhattan. It's got that classic Irish pub feel with a ton of cocktail options, especially their Irish Coffee cocktails! Didn't indulge in any Irish coffee myself, didn't want to mess with my jet lag remedy progress, but I did try another cocktail that was amazing. Wanted to save room for their tasty-looking food, but alas, no space in the old tummy 🤣. We went on a busy day, right after St. Patrick’s Day, so there were lots of Irish folks (from Ireland!) around! Despite the crowd, the staff were super friendly and attentive. Love the vibe here! 🍹🍀

I had an amazing time visiting The Dead Rabbit. Outstanding hospitality since you arrive. First you enter to a traditional irish pub and then upstairs is their cocktail parlor, both really nice concepts with an interesting menu of cocktails and small bites. They honor their 'Welcome Home' and 'Tradition, Meet Tomorrow' slogans. Will definitely come back.

Great bar, fantastic service. The atmosphere is great. Definitely Irish bar but clean and a little fancy. The food options are so tasty. The apps were tiny but the entrees were big. The drinks are expensive but they are iconic. I’ve been here for their Christmas specials and that is otherworldly. Definitely a must visit to experience/ the salted caramel hot chocolate is u real and extremely rich. But today I had the frozen Irish coffee while it was extremely small… it was also very good. The scotch egg was good but pricey. The fish and chips were great as well as the corned beef sandwich. Service was fantastic. Love this place and will always be back for more

Went there for happy hour with coworkers. I really liked the bar and the vibe. It was too crowded so the servers were often not available. Both my coworker and I found this pink spots on chicken so we called the server. Immediately, the server asked us what we want him to do. I told him I don’t want uncooked food. He said it’s not. After long pause, I asked him to cook more cuz we are uncomfortable so they took it back. Great customer service. Not coming back

Excellent bar food, good cocktails and beer selection.
Wings, one of the best. They split the sections so they are easy to eat and have more crisp area.
Fried pickles and elote are good.
Cauliflower was not quite as crispy as one hoped
Chicken sandwich and burgers are better than average.
Good for a quick stop.

We went to the downstairs area and it was really beautiful. Loved the decor and lighting. Food and cocktail menu seemd great, we ordered the fried pickles that also included other fried vegetables and we were there for it. It was really delicious. I won't judge the cocktails because we only had a glass of white wine which we also really enjoyed. My critique is about the staff. I have never encountered such rude, aloof, and unaware group of people. No one even said "hello" when we got there, nor even when we ordered. We sat at the bar and the bartender (woman) was so so rude and short with us and to the couple next to us. There was a very personal conversation between her and one of the servers that was so inappropriate to have in front of patrons. Bartender took very long even though she was right in front of us, to see us so we could order the appetizer that we almost didn't. Every other place in the area was very crowded except for this one and I could tell that service was the issue.
This place has great potential as long as they keep the right staff around. Our visit was on Tuesday 8/23/22

Me and friend went here on a rainy Friday and the place wasn't that busy in the afternoon. We ordered a few lagers and got their Impossible burger sliders which were really filling and excellent to share between 2 people.
Service was excellent and the team is very friendly and welcoming!
