I ate here with my family and the food was amazing. At first I didn’t think I would like the vodka slice but I have to say it was exquisite. I ate the thing all up. My family for got a margarita slice and they were in love with it. This is a nice spot to take your friends and family for a quick bite. The owner was very kind. There may big have been a lot of seats there but it was the best pizza I have ever had I highly recommend eating here.

$7 / slice. These are very generous slices —both in sheer size of the slice and generousness of toppings. All in all, 1 slice is already very filling. I did not need to get two. To me this is a solid NYC deal, I’d say you’re getting your money’s worth for $7. It’s generous, filling, and significantly more delicious than most other comparable casual NYC pizza joints. You’re getting something special and it’s only $7. After you try it for the first time, you’ll keep coming back. It’s so delicious.
**Place was completely teeming with people @ 2am Friday night.

WOW. I heard about this place on social media and honestly went here expecting it to be another one of those overhyped places, but boy did they prove me wrong! 😆 We shared a slice of artichoke pizza and one of the Staten Island pizza, which turned out to be a great choice! The artichoke slice was thick-rimmed, creamy and filling, the Staten Island slice crispy with lots of flavorful tomato sauce and having alternating bites meant double deliciousness because every bite felt like the first bite again 😋 We were VERY hungry coming here after 3 hours of training, but one slice p.p. filled us up very well! There was seating outside, which was a bit shabby, but it sufficed. We will definitely be coming here again to try some of the other flavours (crab, or another artichoke one maybe 😍).

Was so hyped to come here after years and years of hearing about their famous artichoke pizza. I’m a big white pizza fan so thought I’d love it, but sadly it was incredibly disappointing. The other pizzas on the menu looked great (Sicilian squares, etc) but the one they’re famous for was not something I’d want again.

My artichoke pizza slice was huge. It was delicious. I suggest to try this if you like anything with white sauce. Loved it. I went there literally just after they opened in the morning and I was the only person there.. perfect. It was cold outside and looked like there was no seating inside so had to stand, just saying that because I’m pregnant and love to sit lately :)

I recently moved to New York from Hawaii where I originally enjoyed the productions of Blue Note. Tonight, I brought my sister to see Chloe Flower, a beautiful and phenomenal pianist who transcends me with her passion for "Popsicle", her coined term for her integration of popular and classical music. We attended her sold out first show of her Blue Note Debut! The intimate setting of Blue Note further empowered her impact on the crowd through every key stroke. The guest appearance of Caroline Campbell, the violinist, truly elevated the experience. Thank you Chloe for your craft and vulnerability, and thank you Blue Note for setting the stage!

I can only comment on the atmosphere, I’m on a budget. The sound is excellent and I was way back in the corner of the bar. You can hear perfectly well over any chatter if there is any. Normally there’s not as everyone is fixated on the musicians. This club is famous in NYC and they seem to keep everything relaxed and elegant.

We had heard of this place as a legendary place for world act performances, so we decided the come. The space is not as big and they have a whole lot of tables to accommodate as many people as possible, so that made it seem very tight and cramped. The staff seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people and food that needs to be made and brought to the tables, but they were very kind and professional throughout.
In terms of the food, I must say it was extremely overpriced for what it was; the portions were ridiculously small for what we had to pay at the end.
The only thing that made it all worthwhile was the Harlem Gospel Choir Performance. The singing was superb and engaging. If I were to come back, I’d spend money on drinks, enjoy the show and go eat somewhere else.

A must-visit, iconic jazz club! The artists are not only phenomenal, but they also bring in unexpected guests that make for a fun, engaging experience.
There is bar seating or table seating available, and I would definitely go for table seating as it is hard to see the stage from the bar. Seating is first come first serve, so I recommend coming in early (as early as an hour before to get drinks & bites) especially for the earlier shows.
There is also a $20 minimum spend, although that is very easy to get to!
Make sure to buy your tickets online prior. And again, get there early!

What an experience! That was the second time going to this restaurant and it was so incredibly amazing! The ambience portends an amazing dining experience. The service was outstanding and the food unforgettably delicious! I had the Black Spaghetti and it was so incredible! Would licking the plate be appropriate in a place like Babbo? Definitely not, but I was tempted! The dessert was amazing and we were celebrating a special occasion, which the staff picked up on and brought us tiramisu to share!

This place is not worth the hype or any struggle to get a reservation. The space hasn't been renovated since it was opened in the 90s. The service was fine but I couldn't even say who our server was for our meal. The food was fine, but not worth the price at all. We enjoyed the beef cheek pasta. I would go back, but only if someone else was paying and I would be totally indifferent to my expectations of the event. This restaurant is The Smith level of quality with food that stopped being uniquely fantastic decades ago.

I've eaten at Babbo numerous times lately, and have thoroughly enjoyed all of the food. The service has generally been great also, but one of the nights I went recently, there was a let down in the service department. Our table was 22 minutes late being ready, and there's not really any great place to stand and wait, so we basically were left awkwardly standing by the host stand for 22 minutes while people are constantly bumping into you, trying to get by. All of us worked early the next morning, so it was frustrating taking so much extra time to get seated and be able to order. The food also took a very long time to arrive that night. Food wise, the 100 layer lasagna, the duck, the short rib, the mushroom pasta dish, the beef carpaccio, and the chocolate tart were some of my favourites. The Osso bucco was fine, but nothing spectacular. I'm still giving 5 stars because service has been impeccable all other nights, and the food is really great.

I was excited to try this restaurant! When I arrived I parked on the street. I walked into a beautiful restaurant. I was sat and Garson was my waiter and he was excellent! I started with an amazing red wine. I then had two pastas, the ravioli and the tonnarelli. My favorite was the tonnarelli! Everything was just so so good!

Went here because it was my birthday and we were also celebrating my 1st year anniversary! I was not disappointed with the ambience. The atmosphere was perfectly romantic. The history of restaurant spoke for itself.
The service was immaculate! Nick took care of us for the evening and let me tell you! He gave us the best service I’ve ever received to date. He was very timely with our meals and a big plus was that he showed us around the restaurant and give us a little history lesson. Nick thanks for making my birthday special.
The kitchen did a fantastic job! I don’t know who the chef is but the food was well seasoned, well balanced, and the flavors paired so well with each other. Each meal was like an explosion in my mouth. I was not disappointed. Need less to say I did not need to put any salt and pepper on the food. Plus they surprised me with a complimentary dessert for my birthday. Management if you are seeing this, send compliments to the chef!
Don’t think twice about booking a reservation. Totally recommend, the front of the house will take well care of you!
Will be visiting again.✨

I went here with friends to celebrate my partner's promotion. The food was delicious. The service was acceptable but not exceptional, which is what I expected for an establishment of this scale. We were seated upstairs and didn't get to enjoy the ambiance of the beautiful downstairs which was disappointing. I suggest if you make a reservation, request to be seated downstairs. For the price we paid I simply expected more. The beef wellington was great!

This place is absolutely out of this world, the most magical romantic vibes. We had the tasting menu and every single course was beautifully flavored and presented. The courses were not rushed as they can be at other establishments so you really got to thoroughly enjoy each dish. It’s pricey but not as expensive as other tasting menus out there. The star of the show is the beef Wellington, it was absolute perfection. They also gave me a free dessert with a candle for my birthday, cute!

Now I understand why they call it the most romantic restaurant in NY! We celebrated our anniversary here and it was better than I expected. I can’t say I was blown away with the food, but doesn’t even matter. It was good and the menu was very different and creative.
But the atmosphere, the ambiance, the way they host you… Our server was wonderful, pleasant and friendly. The same was for the busboys and food runners. They also let us take our time with our meals, let us enjoy our night and our conversation, which I appreciate very much. For the end they brought us a dessert saying “happy anniversary” which really put smile on our faces. Highly recommended!

Brunch is the way to go here. The menu is exactly the same as dinner, and you get to pick and choose all the food you would ever want to try for $20 for 90 minutes. For an additional $16, you can have unlimited drinks. We came on St Patrick’s Day where they colored their margaritas green. Service was impeccable and prompt, and all the food was delicious. We had all of the tacos, tamales, and quesadillas. Don’t forget dessert. The churros are a must!

For a Mexican restaurant you definitely expect more flavor in the food. People were really enjoying their drinks though however they do not accommodate for people who do not drink alcohol. The staff did not make and would not make Virgin mocktails. The nachos are not salted either. The best thing was dessert. Don't skip out on those plantains. YUM!

Delightful lunch at Palma! The ambience was very cosy and being surrounded by beautiful flowers make us happy. Food was great and the service was really good, which made our ladies gathering so enjoyable. The tiramisu, tortellini in chicken broth and fritto misto were my favourites. Portions were appropriate. 2 appetisers. 3 pastas and 3 desserts are enough for 4 asian females’ stomachs. Menu also suitable for vegetarians.

Incredible service atmosphere and food. Pasta was cooked perfectly. I had the rigatoni amatriciana special - couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s a perfect spot to celebrate something or go for the holidays, definitely overpriced.

I love their customer service and how attentive they are. But it’s nothing to brag about. I wanted to go here for such a long time because I kept hearing amazing reviews about it. But truth is, the food is pretty bland. I can tell they know how to cook but probably not putting a lot of flavor in it to please the masses.
The hype of it all is what I think draws people. It’s nicely decorated, and I understand the dim lighting but it’s too dim if you know what I mean. You can barely see the menu. I looked up and three light bulbs were out above my table. It makes for a romantic setting but not practical.
The drinks were amazing! Truly amazing! But like I said. The food was bland. I’m Italian and was hoping for that punch of flavor. It was disappointing and expensive.
Also, though the place is meant to feel homey. I had reservations for inside and ended up being in a semi private forgotten spot. It threw me off bit but after a few drinks we enjoyed the privacy and atmosphere.
Overall I would give this spot a 3.5 out of 5. Definitely not worth the prices, but overall, decent.

Food is great, that is true but the service could be better
I live in the surrounding neighborhood and never got to try it as it always seemed so busy. I finally went with one of my good friends and was very excited to show him some good, authentic pizza. Unfortunately, whilst all the well dressed tourists received good service, jokes, friendly welcomes, and the like, I asked in a friendly manner what portion size we should go for as we were very hungry from biking across the Brooklyn bridge. we were relegated to a “I don’t know just get whatever you guys want”. The server clearly could not care less! We also got nothing more throughout the entire service. Not even simple “here you go” when our pizzas arrived, and they didn’t even ask for our drinks at first! It was like we were invisible. Meanwhile, everyone else got jokes, friendly smiles, brief small talk, etc.
Perhaps it is because we’re young guys that they assume they could have just spoken to us as so, but I tried to be friendly 🤷. I also know they are VERY busy and so I try not to take it personally. I understand that it’s tough to cater to everyone.
My question is though, if they had enough time to service everyone ELSE well, what exactly did we do wrong?

Visiting from out of town so take the review with a grain of salt. First I have to say the restaurant is a cool atmosphere, love the seating, coziness, and older feel. Service was really good and despite having no tables ready we were not rushed in any of the ordering, eating, or leaving process. We ordered the original pie and tried to order the meatball sandwich but they were our of bread so we settled for the meatball dish. Meatballs were pretty good. They were dense in a red sauce with melted mozzarella. They were good but wouldn’t necessarily tell another visitor they HAD to get the meatballs. I’d say the pizza was def better than the meatballs. The crust was thin and crisp on the bottom. Lots of cheese but the integrity of the crust allows the pizza not to flop over. The sauce was on the acidic side for me but I think that’s telling of the freshness. It was very cool to watch them making pizzas right in front of you. Overall good experience; I’d say if you’re in the area great choice but I’ll explore others on the future. Thank you!

Worth the hype kinda place.
Very good pizza with Not so sweet sauce, the right amount of sauce to cheese and the crust was nicely burnt with a tad bit of chewiness.
The wait on weeknights is more tolerable

Eager to try the restaurant after noticing its popularity, I finally visited and chose something unique: zucchini fries and John's original pizza with fried tomato. The fries were good in small amounts, but the whole plate was too much. The pizza's base and sauce were excellent, but the fried tomato topping was overwhelming. Despite this, I'm interested in returning to try another pizza, hoping it lives up to its reputation.

John's of Bleeker Street is a pizzeria temple serving "American-Neapolitan pizza."
It is one of Manhattan's first (and potentially last) coal-fired pizzerias. With its nearly 100-year-old coal-burning oven built right into the tile wall, this is a must-visit to experience the atmosphere and flavor that can only be found here.
John's pizza is perfectly crisped across with flecks of coal-fired char that dot the bottom like a fine piece of artwork and give an incredible depth of flavor.
The crust remains chewy and sturdy enough to pick up and eat the entire slice by hand (zero flop).
This is some of the finest pizza you can get anywhere in New York.
They do not serve slices- only pies.
The restaurant is a bit cramped, and there is almost always a line, often very long, and out the door, though it moves well — trust me, it is well worth the wait.
The staff is incredibly efficient, and with pizzas taking less than a minute to cook, you'll be eating your legendary pie in mere minutes!
I will certainly be back!

Joe's Pizza in Manhattan is an absolute slice of heaven! The moment you sink your teeth into their pizza, you're transported to a world of exquisite flavors and authenticity. The crust? Perfection. Crispy yet chewy, it's the ideal foundation for the flavorful toppings that burst with freshness. The sauce-to-cheese ratio? Spot on. Each bite is a symphony of taste that resonates with anyone craving a true New York-style pizza experience. Joe's Pizza is an iconic establishment that sets the bar high for pizza aficionados everywhere.
While there might not be parking or ample seating, the hustle and bustle adds to its authenticity. It’s a testament to its popularity, where folks line up eagerly for a slice of that renowned pizza. It’s a small sacrifice for the big reward of savoring some of the best pizza the city has to offer.

Finally got to try New York Style pizza at this popular joint that many celebs have visited and it was definitely worth the visit. There was a lineup out the door which I've heard is usual. The pizzas were coming in fresh and hot every few minutes as slices flew off the pan with the sheer crowd! We tried the cheese slices and the fresh mozzarella slice. Both were hot and delicious. Keep in mind this place only takes cash! There is an ATM outside but charges a hefty fee so come prepared!

I saw there was no big line so decided to check what the fuss is all about. To be honest, pizza was ok, I would try it again but definitely nothing wow. Probably because of the hype the quality goes down. Not saying it's bad, it s a good pizza but not nearly as hyped.

So much good can be said about this classic New York pizza shop. Joe's is a spot where your slice (or pie) is exactly as good as the last time, and the time before that, every time.
The restaurant is located in the heart of Greenwich Village, so you can expect a lively and fun atmosphere every time you stop by.
As there is limited seating, if the weather is nice, grab your pizza and head over to nearby Washington Square Park and take in the iconic views served up by Mother Nature while you enjoy the greatness of Joe's.
As an added bonus and If you're lucky, you just might run into a local NYC celebrity. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of meeting both Matt Damon and Adrien Brody! Super nice guys who enjoy a classic New York pizza. Very cool and without a massive entourage.
*Joe's is cash only- don't forget to bring cash or there will be no pizza for you!

Very small place basically a take away kinda outlet. Lamb shawarma couldn’t impress me much … tabouleh was excellent … falafel shawarma was also barely acceptable … only chicken shawarma was worth it … the sandwiches were filled more with leafy salad than meat and lack of any sauce in them was greatly felt.

If you want great falafel at a reasonable price, Mamoun's is it. Their falafel has been a staple of the West Village for decades. They also have other food, but the falafel is so good, we can never pass it up.
Very limited seating, so be prepared to eat on the go.

Wonderful beef shawerma and very tasty falafel. 😋 We will stop in every time we are in NYC! ❤️🙌

Excellent Lebanese food for a very affordable price! Definately should stop in if you’re in Greenwich Village.

We came from Australia and included this stop on our NYC food tour. It ticked all the boxes!
The OG falafel sandwich was so good, we needed a side of falafel balls with baba ghanoush, it was that good! You can tell there’s been some love and care put into perfecting their food. More importantly, very affordable for all to enjoy.
Can’t wait to come back again on our next visit to the big apple.
