The atmosphere really good and scenic. The server was patient and friendly. However she didn’t check the dishes before giving us a dirty glass of water. The crispy calamari with the banana peppers was ok including the mustard style sauce that came with it. The shrimp linguine was undercooked and seasoned-less however the presentation was good. The host was ok but unwelcoming. No smiles, no excitement. The food was definitely overpriced. The fish and chip was ridiculous for the sized verses the price. The fish tasted like it was cooked in old oil. One of the four of us didn’t eat after getting a dirty glass because it made us question if we were being served with dirty dishes and clean food. For a popular area it could’ve been better. We wouldn’t come here again.

Nice quick place to grab a drink and see a view of the Statue of Liberty. Staff was mostly cold and only dropped off a drink and never returned. They were more focused on closing early than making sure I was even happy.
Had a drink and left, wouldn’t go back.

My wife and I recently celebrated our wedding at The View at Battery Park, and it was truly a flawless experience from start to finish. As someone who has been in the hospitality industry for many years, I have very high standards, and I can confidently say that every expectation was not just met but exceeded.
The setting itself is beautiful, offering a perfect blend of elegance and charm that made our special day unforgettable. Our guests are still raving about how amazing everything was, and we couldn't agree more.
The food was outstanding—each dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Our guests kept coming up to us to rave about how much they enjoyed the meal. The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive, professional, and made sure that every detail was taken care of. It was clear that they are not only experienced but also genuinely care about the experience they provide.
A special thank you to Nikki Rizzo, the catering manager, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. Her attention to detail, organization, and warm personality made the entire planning process stress-free. She went above and beyond to ensure that our day was perfect, and it absolutely was.
If you're looking for a venue that combines stunning views, exceptional food, and first-class service, look no further than The View at Battery Park. My wife and I couldn't be happier with our choice, and we highly recommend it to anyone planning a special event.

The ambiance and location paired with one of the remaining beautiful days of summer are the only reasons this place was lovely. (I don't hold the construction that blocked the gorgeous sunset against them. The City is always improving.)
And that's where the positive ends.
Unfortunately, the service was s-l-o-w. It was almost as if the place didn't get more staff to handle the wedding.
The host didn't remember that one of us was a guest, so she sent us to the "public" restroom. The salmon was greasy; more like oil with salmon than the reverse. My Americano had to be redone 3 times: brown water, warm brown water, hot reused grounds. I gave up and said it was good. The server who made it (yup) was super polite, obviously trying his best, and simply didn't know better. They didn't charge us for it.
In a line, come for the view; eat and drink elsewhere.

Food was good. I ordered the halibut with fingerling potatoes and green beans. My boyfriend ordered the streak with mashed potatoes and asparagus with avocado on the side. My fish was over cooked and dry. Since we were in a rush I didn’t send it back. The green beans were sent 5 minutes after the meal but was very good. The potatoes needed salt but once added was good. My boyfriend enjoyed his steak and potatoes.

The Dead Rabbit is one of the coolest bar and dining experiences I’ve had to date.
My wife and I started with an Irish coffee at the bar on the main floor. My word was that good. This place was once listed as one of the top bars in the world, and I can see why. The drink was perfectly mixed, pleasantly warm and had a great kick from the whisky.
We also had reservations for the parlor and had a wonderful meal in a more chill environment. Started out with a scotch egg, which was one of the tastiest things we ate during our entire trip. It’s perfectly crispy and delicious.
The Guinness was on point and perfectly poured. Which pared very well with the fish and chips, which was light and flaky.
Seriously one of the funnest and best meals we had on our trip. Would go again, if only for another scotch egg and Irish coffee.

Definitely not your average bar. The hard cider was tasty. The food here is actually delicious. My first time having Scottish eggs and they were amazing. The salmon and clams were cooked very well with a delicious clear sauce draped over it.

The Dead Rabbit in NYC is a hidden gem in the Financial District! This charming Irish bar, tucked away on a beautiful corner, has a cozy and inviting atmosphere with gorgeous decor. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn’t too crowded, which made it perfect for a relaxed visit. You order directly from the bartender, and while the prices are a bit higher, the cocktails are absolutely top-notch—well worth every penny! Their food was fantastic as well. I also discovered they have locations in Austin, TX, and DC—definitely on our list for future trips!

This bar is just the best. Atmosphere and staff make you feel so welcome. You could literally stay all night here. No wonder it's the most awarded bar. It's so worth the effort to get here.

Would rate it ten stars if I could. The food, drinks, and vibe were great. The staff was really friendly, and attentive. The bartender even poured my half done drink into a colder glass once it looked room temp. 100% recommend!

Worst place to go! The serving person will ignore all what you are trying to say and just be in their own world to pack you for the bill.
They are like interns in office space with no experience. Attitude was at a different level. Start the serve and leave the customer in the middle of serving and ignore.
They packed my bowl with rice as if I had asked for more. No cream no salsa. Dumbo!! I wish I had got my money back as we get in California.
—————— Update. ———-
Went back and they replaced it.

For as long as this place has been here. You would think that they finally know how to manage the traffic during lunch time. NOPE!
They are always out of something. They can only take cards. The place is filthy. Your food is sloppily made.
Today was no different. Only taking credit, not a problem but the entire restaurant was a pigs sty - tables were dirty, trash cans were overflowed. Even the register was dirty. The cashier was busy texting between checking ppl out when she could have at least wiped the counter where she was working so it didn’t look so gross which takes a matter of seconds. Literally food all over the front of the counter where the register was. I mentioned to her checking out and she seemed not to care and carried on.
There was enough staff who were idle for one person to man the floor.
Also was not pleased how my food was prepared today. They weren’t out of anything (food wise) which was surprising however, my lettuce was completely welted. In other words, not fresh and they drowned my tacos in sour cream rushing.
Fast service isn’t always good service and these workers aren’t experienced enough to be efficient when working at such fast paces. So Slow Down!!! a bit and do it right to result in happier customers.
Cleanliness is a huge thing and easily changes one’s mind from wanting to eat there. This is a usual case at this Chipotle.
I recommend paying a little more for an experienced manager to properly run this location. It will change everything as it will literally only take better managerial decisions like properly allocating your staff for this location to improve. This is a lucrative location so it must be a priority for the company but it doesn’t seem that way.
This is a fed up post. I’ve been here a couple times since I’ve started working here and it’s the same thing Every Time.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, food was not warm for everyone in our party. Mine tasted good and was warm. The person giving us the food was nice. The price was good for New York standards.
In the restaurant both the waste bins were full and the toilet needed to been cleaned very badly.

Tasty authentic Indian food. The staff was very friendly. Dishes took a while to be prepared but they made them freshly, which was good. The butter chicken is very good. Portion sizes are rather small when considering the prices. The atmosphere isn’t great but we went to enjoy the good food.

Ate at Bombay on a working Wed night, around 6:30. Quiet; I was one of three people there. Ate mostly appetizers and roti. The food was well-seasoned and in good portions. The raita a bit too sweet; the samosas a bit too big. Otherwise, the paneer tikka tasted great and the roti baked well.

If you are typical Mumbaikar, who looks for masala tea every now and then, this place is for you. They have variety of lunch/brunch/dinner-veg/Non veg options. Spice level is maintained considering options for non-indians too but food is tasty and authentic. Staff is friendly and helpful specially the two guys at the counter. Must visit Indian restaurant near Battery Park.

I had a great experience at Bombay’s Indian Restaurant! The food was fantastic, easily some of the best in the area. They have excellent lunch specials, with great combo options that offer a variety of flavors. Both staff members were incredibly helpful and took the time to explain the menu, making the whole experience even better. Overall, it was a great meal and service.

The dish has a nice flavor, with a hint of spiciness, but the raita provides a soothing balance. It isn't overly rich and could benefit from additional cream or butter to mellow out the sharpness. Overall, it's quite enjoyable!

Now I remember why I stopped going here, and it's always the same cashier.
It's so wonderful when people assume you don't understand spanish and watch you proceed to complain about them to coworkers.
The points system is not only for card transactions. If that were the case, it wouldn't have popped up on the screen. If you don't like people using your reward system, remove the reward system.
It's unnecessary to have such an attitude when all I want to do is put in my phone number. It makes me wonder if your cashier is so dishonest, how much she has stiffed customers in rewards. 🤨.

Worth your time if you're in Financial District: excellent food, good service & pretty good prices. A lunch for 2 with 3 beers was about $45.
Tried: pot roast (excellent), knockwurst & sauerkraut (very good) paired with local draft Beer.
P.S. if you're visiting in Winter - Fall, go for house special: PBR & shot combo for $5.
PPS. This place has a music jukebox with access via cell - we had great time playing it. The cost is less than $1 for a song.

Leaving a review in regards to my experience hosting a private event here -- the service at White Horse Tavern is phenomenal.
I co-hosted a birthday party just under 100 people on the private 3rd floor, which provided plenty of space for people to mingle, sit, and/or dance. The manager, Frank, and all of his staff were very accommodating to make sure our event went smoothly, including:
- allocating a couple hours in advance for us to set up decorations
- accommodating a custom drinks menu I requested (using liquors offered under their house liquor bar package)
- storing any gifts people came with in a separate room for us to pick up on a later date
- keeping track of a guest list throughout the event, which helped us a lot in the end for Venmo requests
We received so many compliments after our party about how sweet/fun the bartenders were, how comfortable the venue was (private bathrooms and coat hangers!), and how affordable it turned out to be for an open bar event in NYC. If you're looking to host an event for a great deal, I highly recommend White Horse Tavern.

Old school tavern with great comfort food and quick service. The southwest salad was big and less than $10!! The burgers, fries and potato salad were all delicious. It's a short walk from The Battery/Statue of Liberty, Wall Street and 9/11 memorial. I would definitely recommend and we'll be back next time we're in town.

However, sub bread appeared more burnt than any other sub I've had in a sandwich shop. Still good chili with premium oyster crackers.

It’s really not worth $14. The store manager was nice enough to add some rice but this is outrageous to have half a box filled up. When I asked them the first time, they confidently said that’s enough of chicken shawarma. Really disappointed as this used to be my go to place for lunch. Sadly won’t be returning here.

I am writing about the Naya in financial district near battery park. Food is fresh and good. You can get with meat or without meat and they have cauliflower and falafel for non-meat proteins. You can have a base of salads or grains or bread. You then pick your protein and you can get all the vegetarian add-ons that you want. You can customize it your way and have all possible combination you want. We tried their falafel salad and Chicken swharma wrap with the jalapeño sauce and was amazing. If you are in New York must try there wraps

This is a nice relatively pricey lunch stop in the Financial District. The food was good and fresh and the salads were good, though a bit small on portions. They have many options for wraps/salads, but I did a Falafel Salad. And warning for those who want Jalapenos- they DO NOT remove seeds so beware. There is hardly any seating inside the restaurant though so beware if coming during busy times.

They have nice variety of cold plus hot salads, been here multiple times so a review was due.
Customers can either select their original menu salad or can make their own. Prices will range between 9-14$ for a bowl with/without customization. If you are visiting during 12-1:30 pm on a weekday, there will be rush (so be patient, queue moves real quick) and staff does its best to pay heed on customization request.
I personally prefer there regular classic chopt (cold) and Warm chicken tinga(hot).
Please note if you don’t have taste developed for hot salad bases you might not like it.

Love the product and the order ahead option but be sure to add at least 15-20 minutes to the estimated pick up time. I have on multiple occasions had to ask employees more than once about the status of my order. This defeats the purpose of the order ahead as I am spending 20-30 minutes extra while they make the order after missing the original time.

Chopt has delicious salad choices and some bowls that include healthy grains and a variety of lettuce. Don't be scared if there is a long line, they handle the crowd pretty well. Just take you're ticket and follow your salad. They also offer some seasonal salads that change throughout the year. My only two complaints are I wish it was less expensive. (It's about $11.50 for a salad) I also wish they had a refillable drink fountain with only healthy options such as tea and sparkling water. I can u derstand why they don't have a soda fountain, but some non bottled drink options other than water .

It was a superb experience! I highly suggest reserving in the piano bar upstairs. (I suck at names) The woman playing the piano and singing was superb, my server sang a couple songs, which was amazing, and the service was also absolutely amazing and perfectly timed. Was it my favorite food ever? No, but it was really, really good and definitely satisfying. I would go back and normally I never go back to the same place twice away from home.
Matthew Kluk - 2 weeks ago
The food was pretty good! The service was slow but I don’t think that was our waitress’s fault-she appeared to be waiting on every table in the piano bar area.
The other reason I took off a star for service is because I had a reservation for 6:30…before seating us the hostess informed us there was another reservation at the same table at 8 and would that be ok? That wasn’t a problem but it was weird that other people came by the table 2 or 3 times to let us know there was another reservation and they needed the table at 8. It made us feel a little unwelcome, like they were so concerned about this other reservation but not ours. We had drinks, appetizer, dinners, dessert. If the service had been faster we would have been gone by 8. Someone that was not our waitress took our payment a little after 8, presumably to clear the space for that other table…

The Fraunces Tavern is an amazing American restaurant that’s located in the Financial district of Lower Manhattan, New York.
The restaurant’s building that played a major role in American history, most notably serving as the headquarters for George Washington during the American revolution, as well as housing offices for Federal officials in the early days of the Republic. Due its rich heritage, Frances Tavern is listed on the National Register Of Historic Places and is a New York City Landmark.
In July of 2024, I brought and treated my wife and myself for lunch at the Frances Tavern and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience!!!
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and promptly provided us with a very comfortable dining table in the Tallmadge room.
My wife and I were deeply impressed with the beauty and elegance of the Tallmadge room and particularly loved its wooden floors, ceilings, its rustic settings, and its communal seatings.
Our server Riley, H was very polite and professional and did a great job on addressing our inquiries regarding the menu options and noting our orders.
Both my wife and I found that our meals were very well cooked, perfectly seasoned and superbly delicious!!! My wife ordered and enjoyed her steak and egg entree while I absolutely loved my tavern burger entree!!!
If you are history enthusiast, and would love the opportunity to dine at an establishment of immense cultural and social significance, then you should definitely visit and dine at the Frances Tavern!!

"A restaurant older than the nation itself", now if that isn't a killer pitch for a place, I don't know what is!
The venue is a maze of halls, bars and rooms on two floors, so ask if you can have a look around before deciding on where to sit.
The staff is professional and helpful but came across as a little stressed and short on time when we went there (we still got all the service we asked for though, even some small talk). The food was OK but also the least interesting part of the visit. Perhaps it's better to go there for a drink and a light snack. It's a pity though, because this place deserves more. Making it a fine dining restaurant would make it less accessible for most people however, which would be a shame because it's very much worth the visit for it's historical properties.
One more thing: please honour the dress code (causal smart) and don't come in your "functional city wear". Show the place the respect it deserves and raise the end of the bar that you're responsible for.

We reserved for an afternoon meal. We loved the atmosphere. We ordered hamburgers. They were generous portions with great flavour. Just two small things. I had to waive our server down whenever we needed something. I prefer to have an attentive server. And while the atmosphere is fun, it is loud. That's more just a heads up for others going.
