Came for a little catchup lunch with my longtime friend and everything was delicious. We also talked for hours and weren’t rushed despite how popular this place is. I got the chestnut ravioli, french onion soup and my friend got the lamb sandwich all were tasty. Cream puffs were okay.

A staple restaurant for a ny trip, especially for their brunch! The bread basket is absolutely worth it, much better than buying individual pastries. It same with a good selection of sweeter pastries like sticky bun and breads, also came with generic jams but not really needed when the pastries are so good by themselves. I also tried the Eggs Norwegian, the eggs Benedict with salmon. The highlight is their hollandaise sauce which was perfect consistency and flavor. The potato’s were crispy and flavorful, everything you want for a side. Service was exceptional, with all the staff being very attentive and lovely. My water glass and coffee were never empty the entire time there. Also would suggest trying to go on a weekday for breakfast, weekends get extremely packed in. Overall, a beautiful restaurant with great food and service, completely worth going to at least once!

As good today as it was twenty five years ago. We visited on a Saturday for breakfast. Very warm reception from the hosts at the door. The Croque Madame -excellent Herb omelette - excellent Pancakes -excellent Applewood bacon excellent. It cost 100$ for three of us. It was worth it. Fast and efficient service. Very busy.

This was the best restaurant from our whole trip to NYC. We had made reservations before even landing in New York. It did not disappoint. From the food to the service everything was awesome. Everyone loved what they ordered. Worth every penny. Definitely want to come back.

Great place, we were walking down the street and got caught with the view of the low windows into the restaurant, and we decided to book a table. We had good time, excellent food, they have also vegetarian option, we took the ravioli. Recommend on sea food if you're there, and we also tried one of the sushi rolls which was good as well. Would recommend if you are in the SoHo area and love seafood to try it out.

This photo was taken at our last visit, in July. My husband and daughter had dined here for lunch on a couple of occasions and this was our first time for dinner, all four of us. It’s nestled in one of my favorite parts of town, and there’s something about the busy-ness of the place when it’s packed. Everyone there seemed to enjoy themselves, great food, good drinks, great service! We celebrated our daughter’s birthday this day. She didn’t want us to tell anyone so we kept it mum, but after several visits we can say it’s a great place to eat. Love the atmosphere, too.

The restaurant’s interior is super cool, with round, boat-shaped windows that make you feel like you’re on a yacht. I had the pan-seared black bass with sweet potatoes, while my husband enjoyed the steamed red snapper with Bok choy. For our appetizer, we shared the Hamachi crudo. Although the portions were on the smaller side, each dish was perfectly prepared and delicious. The service was exceptional—attentive and thoughtful throughout our meal. We’re already looking forward to returning to try more of the menu!

Worth the wait and the slightly cramped space. Everything we ordered here was surprisingly great. The pictures alone look great - but they taste even better than they appear. But the highlight for me was the Tie-Dye Pie. It doesn't make sense how good it is. It is super light and crisp, yet the vodka sauce gives it a richness. It is so well balanced - probably my favorite thin crust pie anywhere.

I asked my cousin to take me to a yummy New York Pizza. This place was amazing! The house made sauce was so flavorful, and the thin crust had the perfect crunch. We came in hungry so we ordered the Heirloom Tomato Caprese as an appetizer and that was a great. We also ordered a pasta dish plus the amazing Pizza! Everything was so delicious that we left full and no leftovers! We ate it all :-) The atmosphere is amazing, with a rustic vibe that’s both cozy and comfortable. The service was equally impressive, very attentive and friendly staff, always making sure we were enjoying our meal and keeping our water glasses full. If you’re looking for a spot for an amazing NYC Pizza with fantastic food and a welcoming ambiance, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

The pizza was very thin like almost crispy tortilla dough! the sauce was tasted like homemade not too strong which was good! We also loved the salad and mozzarella sticks. I would not say that this is the best pizza in nyc but def worth to go here!

Wow what can I say about this place that nobody else has! The service was incredible, from spot on recommendations, attentive (and meaningful) check ins, to even just being able to get me a great spot to eat (slight glitch on my part with reservation for two but I was only one). Those who complain about the pizza being like a cracker… that’s because it is, it’s super thin and crispy. I actually think the style is named such and that you can find recipes online. It is amazing! I nearly ate the entire pie myself, on top of the most delicious pasta I’ve ever had. Short rib… and wow, if it’s on the specials list - get it. Cheers and happy eating.

Small spot with a few tables in the back and a bar to sit at up front. We ordered the rigatoni Carbone and chicken parm, both were great portion sizes (we both had leftovers) we also ordered the “famous” garlic bread. Flavor was great, chicken wasn’t too thin or over breaded. Rigatoni was tasty without being too spicy. The garlic bread was our least favorite, $8 for 1 sesame hoagie cut in half and we honestly couldn’t taste any garlic.

I’m a fan and I love Carbones Spicy Rig, so when I saw this in Nolita I couldn’t wait to go in. It was crowded and that’s always a good sign. This location has a really relaxed cool vibe. Sat at the bar and had a fabulous lunch. Spicy Rigatoni was excellent and the salad was delicious it was crisp, fresh, with bites of fig.

Seriously good - so much so that we came back for round 2 after eating here on our first trip to NYC in 2022. Rigatoni with vodka sauce is a delicious vegetarian option, and the chicken parmigiano platter was tasty too. Great service, even though they were quite busy. Luckily we got in before the lunch rush! Small location (would be hard for anyone with mobility needs).

Came here for the rigatoni carbone, it was pretty good. We also enjoyed the fresh mozz with prosciutto. The arugula salad had fig in it, I loved it but my friend was not a big fan. The spaghetti and meatball was ok. We came here for dinner on a Saturday. The line was quite long, as expected. The guy worked at the door was good, attentive, and communicated well about the wait time. It was a small and busy place, but our waitress was patient and welcoming.

We ordered omelets and Dog’s breakfast. Everything was great and delicious. The portions were gigantic, really filling. Decorations and atmosphere were amazing. Also definitely recommend the hot chocolate.

Grey Dog is a fantastic spot! I loved the cozy decoration and the welcoming atmosphere. We came during the last 30 minutes of brunch, and the food was still excellent. The pancake and fried chicken were crispy and delicious, and the breakfast bowl with French toast is a must-try. Plus, they have a happy hour starting at 4 PM, making it an even better place to hang out. I’ll definitely be back!

Dont forget to reserve a table if plan to come on a weekend. Packed! But food is great, service is fast and attentive. Pancake and french toast is moist , yummy. Our latte is strong they have good selection of coffee.

Grey dog is where you go when you want something that tastes familiar but elevated. The grilled cheese dippers and tomato soup (with a side of bacon)are perfect on a chilly/rainy day. You can’t go wrong with the classic grey dog breakfast. The pancakes with banana are fluffy and the perfect amount of sweet. Their bacon is thick cut and crunchy which I love. It can get a bit busy but the longest i’ve ever had to wait for 2 was about 10 minutes. Overall, really good breakfast that just feels like a hug… cant go wrong 🥰

The food is just alright. I ordered the grey dog breakfast with French toast and I liked the orange syrup that came with them, eggs were done great, but I can tell the potatoes were from a frozen bag. I did get an iced latte here and it tasted great. Out server was also very polite, but when the restaurant got busy for breakfast it was hard to wave them down for coffee refills for the table.

stumbled upon La Esquina Brasserie entirely by accident, walking along Lafayette Street in New York, but what a find it turned out to be! A tour guide had mentioned it, but discovering it on my own made it feel like a hidden gem. The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. You head down the steps, and it’s like stepping into a secret speakeasy. The lighting was just right, creating a warm and inviting vibe. The barmen were fantastic—friendly, professional, and really added to the experience. The food was another highlight. Their tacos and other dishes were delicious, and the drinks paired perfectly. What surprised me most was how reasonably priced everything was; it felt like a luxury experience without breaking the bank. Really cool place - if you didn’t know about it, you’d probably walk straight past it. The front looks like a very small ‘hole in the wall’ eatery but once you’re in, they direct you downstairs, through the kitchen, into the restaurant. Nice bar area, nice ambiance. A bit dark inside and loud music, tables quite close together, but good food and great service. Definitely worth a visit.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the underground speakeasy restaurant La Esquina. Reservation is required to access this one via a guarded door leading to the underground scene with cramped but very lively bar, restaurant and dj scene! Food is generally very good but nothing that particularly stands out as deserving five stars.

You have to try this place! you walk up to a very unassuming deli-like restaurant and note that you have a reservation for La Esquina - the place was empty - no tables, nothing. The host radios to somebody else that hes sending a party of 2 down. Then a hidden door in the wall opens and we are led to the basement of this building which is likely 100 years old - Very cool! - food was great and service was great too! Neat place!

My husband and I both really enjoyed our food. The tacos were great and so was literally everything else that we ordered. I also loved my spicy cocktail, cant recall the exact name. The waiter was very sassy, but I wouldn’t say he was rude. I found the vibe to be great as I really enjoy people watching. We paid around 300 usd which isn’t little for a street place like this but I think it was worth it 🍹

A very nice, simple, yet delicious Mexican restaurant. The location and decor were really to my liking and fit the whole theme perfectly. The food was plentiful but tasty and the service was lightning fast. All the dishes were super fresh tasting and light except the burritas which stood out as the only heavy and somewhat dry dish in the bunch and could benefit from some sort of sauce. The tacos and quesadillas on the other hand were really very good and I would happily come back to try the rest of them.

Very unique Mexican restaurant on Elizabeth Street. The corn esquites was fantastic especially when chasing it down with a spicy margarita. Cool story how Tacombi started in Mexico in a VW bus. This bus ultimately made it to New York in 2010 and is in the restaurant today.

4.5 🌟 Came here after 11pm and probably had the best seat in the house; tucked in the back left a perfect table for two. Our server was friendly and helpful in suggestions. The bone marrow was a delicious and fatty starter, although it’s always a toss up with how much you’ll get. And the burger was great to split. Unfortunately they were already out of the apple strudel, but it sounded great.

Giving this pace 4 starts because 1. when we went in the summer there was no AC, so it was a bit hot and 2. I thought my salad was extremely mediocre and was very watery on the bottom. We were there pretty early on a weeknight (around 6:30pm) and didn’t have to wait in line to get seated, but the spot looked pretty busy around 8pm. Overall, if you’re in the area and looking to grab something and people watch, this is a good spot, but I wouldn’t travel to eat here.

We merely stopped here for a refreshment on a very hot New York City day. Cafe Select had a nice menu but alas, we were still digesting our lunch. So a coke and a margarita were on the order. Sitting up at the bar, out of the heat, we caught up on our plans for the rest of the day. The decor is absolutely gorgeous, with eye catching posters and prints and bud lights sprinkled across the entire ceiling. Had to take a photo of the Rolex clock mounted from the roof with Jim’s Omega watch in the foreground. Rolex’s fame of keeping accurate time didn’t hold up well against the Omega. 😂😂😂 If you come to dine, there is seating outdoors on the pavement which is enticing. Yelp named this spot the #1 cheesecake in America, so I had to check it out! The staff was incredibly friendly, and they offer a great selection of flavors. However, there’s no seating or restrooms available, and while the prices are reasonable, the tart sizes are really small. If you prefer thick, dense cheesecake, you might prefer Junior's. But if you're into light, fluffy cheesecakes, this place will be perfect for you.

Got the strawberry cheesecake and a plain cheesecake. The filling was good however I like my cheesecake crust to be more of a crumble. The crust was more light and or didn’t have much of a crust. However cheesecake was great for a quick bite.

The little cheesecakes here are absolutely delicious! Much better than those "famous" places. They're cute and perfect size, especially if you want to try multiple flavors. Many flavors to choose from. All delicious. The downside is this place is so tiny. It's just a walk in and walk out type of place. No room in there whatsoever. No bathroom. A tiny little bar if you want to sit or stand to eat and it's got an open spot.

I came here after hearing some great reviews about their cheesecake, and it definitely lived up to the hype. Little Ruby’s really impressed me. I went there craving a burger, but was blown away by their chicken sandwich. It was one of the better fried chicken sandwiches I’ve had in recent memory. I was also impressed by how nice their little “outdoor”/curbside dining area was. It was very cozy and nice. Service was good too! All around pretty happy with the experience. I’d definitely come back. If you do end up checking it out, you HAVE to get the fried chicken sandwich.

I liked this place but it didn't seem that it lived up to the viral hype. The pancakes were not as great as I thought. They were good! But I've had better. The menu options seemed a little generic. But it is a decent casual spot for American dining. I got the Big Breakfast. It was like a higher end English breakfast. I have had English breakfasts in London and this was actually better. We sat outside during winter and it was crowded inside. Not ideal but I don't blame the restaurant for that. Wait staff was very nice. I would come here again but I wouldn't HAVE to come here again. But definitely better than other options you could do. Oh and we came without a reservation on Black Friday and waited about 30 minutes. Not bad for a popular place though.

Maybe it's not the most fancy place, and you can even see it as a small and crowded hut, but it was one of the best breakfasts I've had recently, very varied and based on fresh products.  Varied variations of breakfasts.  There is no way to be in New York and not visit this tiny place

Food here was absolutely delicious, I am not a fan of salads and I loved the salad here. To the point that I came back the day after to order the same item, would definitely recommend as a brunch place. Although spacing is a tad tight and there aren’t many tables, there could be a lot wait at peak hours. Servers may also disappear for a while if you are at the patio, so that was a bit of a struggle.

I have nothing to say for food. Definitely get the shrimp pasta and the bronte burger. Food are consistently good every time I visit. Since it’s a busy restaurant, compared to the number of server they are not attentive at all. Overall I enjoy this place a lot so that kinda equals out the experience.
