This was the best restaurant from our whole trip to NYC. We had made reservations before even landing in New York. It did not disappoint. From the food to the service everything was awesome. Everyone loved what they ordered. Worth every penny. Definitely want to come back.

I have done reservation before we go. That's why we didn't wait. They were helpful. Their steak, hamburgers and creme brulee were delicious. I recommend to taste. The restaurant was crowded. It would be nice to hear some music instead of speech hum.

A true NYC classic. With a French bistro atmosphere reminiscent of Parisian restaurants, the food and desserts were quite good. The steak with fries paired with a good red wine were to die for!. The service was good but felt a bit rushed considering the price point and quality of the place. Very nice wine selection too!

The food here was great, I stopped by for a quick lunch and ordered the steak frites and it was delicious. Usually pretty crowded so plan ahead for that but it’s definitely worth a visit if you like French food.

Went there with my wife and daughter and her roommate. First of all make sure you reserve. We had a reservation and our table was ready. Talk about a packed place.. This just adds to the atmosphere there which is just bussling with Conversational activity. Love it.... Ahhh the food... We ordered escargot, balthazar salad and seafood ceviche for starters and for main I had the new york strip, and my wife and daughter ordered the steak and fries and her roommate had chicken...The escargot were really yummy and the salad was delicious but the ceviche was the best quality seafood ceviche I have had in a very long time. As to the main meal, the chicken was tender and tasty, the steak and fries (both) were just right and I enjoyed the new york strip. The fat and meat were both cooked to perfection.... For dessert we had pavlova and ice cream profitrolls. The rolls were OK but the chocolate sauce was sublime, dark chocolate with just the right smoothness and taste... The pavlova was a disappointment to me. I have had better in so many countries and back home. The merengue was too too too sweet and the texture was off. Plus I am accustomed to a pavlova with cream and not a lemon/lime mascarpone.... Anyway, the desert was not enough to detract from the experience. I had a great time with lovely company and excellent food.... A definite place to visit.

Great spot! We got the tuna tacos (9/10), the hamachi crudo (10/10), the salmon tiradito (8/10), spicy tuna crispy rice (8/10), the sea urchin bucatini (9/10), the lobster mqc and cheese (8/10) and the skillet cookie (7/10). Everything was solid but the hamachi crudo was a clear standout!

Wonderful evening spent at Lure. They have thought of every detail from the presentation of the restaurant (feeling like you are on a boat) to the food and service everything is impeccable. We partook in the restaurant week which is a great deal to try some fine dining. I do think there could have been more flavor in the dishes but it was clear it was made with the freshest ingredients.

Amazing sushi, oysters, great service, sushi chef Wilmer is always a show and is very attentive, as well as rest of the staff. One of our favorite restaurants in soho. Bartenders always amazing, extremely friendly and welcoming 12/10

The pizza was very thin like almost crispy tortilla dough! the sauce was tasted like homemade not too strong which was good! We also loved the salad and mozzarella sticks. I would not say that this is the best pizza in nyc but def worth to go here!

Nicely curated pizza restaurant with terrific made to order thin crust pizzas. The flavors are outstanding and work well together. Nice wine list to compliment the food. Cocktails and beer are also served. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Overall top notch pizza. The crust texture was too crisp for my taste, but still flavorful, and all the other ingredients were 💯
Great drinks selection, too. I got the amari flight for "dessert" and couldn't be happier.

Want a little bit of everything Italian? This restaurant is for you! The restaurant atmosphere makes you forget you’re eating right off the street and gives an intimate feeling like you’re dinning with friends and family! Bryan K was not only our server but our best friend by the end of the meal and it made all the difference. You can taste the love in the food. We still thinking about our dinning experience there. We HIGHLY recommend doing a split pizza to share and their dessert sampler was amazing. As an Italian, this restaurant has my blessing and recommendation. Thank you Rubirosa for making our visit so memorable.

I recently tried this pizzeria in New York, and it was amazing! The pizza was so tasty, with a perfect crust and fresh toppings. What really stood out to me was that they offered vegan cheese, which, as someone who’s lactose intolerant, made all the difference. It’s not always easy to find a place that takes dietary needs into account without compromising on flavor, but they nailed it. The vegan cheese melted perfectly and didn’t feel like an afterthought. Honestly, it’s a place I’d go back to in a heartbeat!

The location is good, and the menu looks decent, so we decided to step in for lunch.
Unfortunately, all three different meals we ordered were really bland! It is surprising, as pasta in general is not a difficult dish to make, at least to make it average level. The pricing is pricey, but that comes with the location, I guess. Not sure what the problem is here - perhaps too much is pre-prepared? Nevertheless, it is definitely not a place I'd return to.
Absolutely no complaints about the staff, who is friendly and attentive.

⭐️⭐️⭐️
Visited Osteria Moroni in SoHo, drawn by its fusion Italian menu. The food we ordered was decent - it hit the 'okay' mark but didn't quite dazzle the taste buds. However, the high price tag, especially for the wine and drinks, felt a bit steep.
Considering the location, some premium is expected, but just a few blocks away, there are spots offering more authentic and value-packed Italian experiences.
A fair choice if you're nearby, but there's more to explore in the area for Italian cuisine enthusiasts. 🍝🍷📍

I’ve been coming here for over a decade and love sharing this spot with friends. The food is always so good. Typically get a charcuterie board, steak and 1-2 pasta dishes for 4 people. And of course a bottle or two of wine. The gelato parmigiana (spelling?) is so good. Whipped up spreadable cheese. Prosciutto is cut when you order.

The food was very good. We had a board of meats and cheeses cut on the spot. The paste was fresh and yummy and the same for the meatballs. The service was not so friendly or nice. And the vibe is ok but don't go in for that.

Our dinner soooo good I’m so happy we went for my birthday. Our server Brahim was attentive and very friendly. We had a meat and cheese board as an appetizer which was 10/10. The parmesan Reggiano and goat milk blue cheese were so good and the meat we chose was very fresh. I had the cappelletti pasta entree which was over the top amazing, never had anything like it, and it came out super hot! My fiancé had the veal, amazing as well and a great portion. I can’t wait to go back here.

Came here for the rigatoni carbone, it was pretty good. We also enjoyed the fresh mozz with prosciutto. The arugula salad had fig in it, I loved it but my friend was not a big fan. The spaghetti and meatball was ok. We came here for dinner on a Saturday. The line was quite long, as expected. The guy worked at the door was good, attentive, and communicated well about the wait time. It was a small and busy place, but our waitress was patient and welcoming.

Our visit here was a good time! We got a chance to sit outside and enjoy the breezy, sunny day. We had the eggplant parm sandwich which was soo good with the sesame bread!! It was perfect to split with my husband! Then the rigatoni was fresh and well cooked. It was not as spicy as I thought it would be but it was tasty !

Pasta was overcooked, rigatoni was too spicy, waitress was inattentive, garlic bread was kind of dry but the bursts made up for it. Also my pasta had no cheese! Lovely atmosphere.

Grey Dog is a fantastic spot! I loved the cozy decoration and the welcoming atmosphere. We came during the last 30 minutes of brunch, and the food was still excellent. The pancake and fried chicken were crispy and delicious, and the breakfast bowl with French toast is a must-try. Plus, they have a happy hour starting at 4 PM, making it an even better place to hang out. I’ll definitely be back!

Grey dog is where you go when you want something that tastes familiar but elevated. The grilled cheese dippers and tomato soup (with a side of bacon)are perfect on a chilly/rainy day. You can’t go wrong with the classic grey dog breakfast. The pancakes with banana are fluffy and the perfect amount of sweet. Their bacon is thick cut and crunchy which I love. It can get a bit busy but the longest i’ve ever had to wait for 2 was about 10 minutes. Overall, really good breakfast that just feels like a hug… cant go wrong 🥰

Food was delicious. The restaurant itself was crowded like they fitting too many tables into the space. We got there around 1:15 on a Saturday and waited 45 mins for a table. The food and service were fantastic and was very cute inside.

Dont forget to reserve a table if plan to come on a weekend. Packed! But food is great, service is fast and attentive. Pancake and french toast is moist , yummy. Our latte is strong they have good selection of coffee.

We got a bit unlucky and the day we went it was down pouring really badly. And unfortunately the only seats available were on the patio so the seating arrangements were not fun, or comfortable. The chairs were also wet but this is out of the restaurant's reach. The food was decent! Not amazing and not bad, it was not a bad experience, but I wouldn't go again because it did not really give me that wow factor that I look for to return.

stumbled upon La Esquina Brasserie entirely by accident, walking along Lafayette Street in New York, but what a find it turned out to be! A tour guide had mentioned it, but discovering it on my own made it feel like a hidden gem.
The atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. You head down the steps, and it’s like stepping into a secret speakeasy. The lighting was just right, creating a warm and inviting vibe. The barmen were fantastic—friendly, professional, and really added to the experience.
The food was another highlight. Their tacos and other dishes were delicious, and the drinks paired perfectly. What surprised me most was how reasonably priced everything was; it felt like a luxury experience without breaking the bank.
The crowd there was equally wonderful—friendly, relaxed, and lovely to chat with. It added to the charm of the place.
I’d recommend La Esquina Brasserie to anyone looking for a unique and memorable spot in New York. It’s more than a meal—it’s an experience you won’t forget.

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the underground speakeasy restaurant La Esquina. Reservation is required to access this one via a guarded door leading to the underground scene with cramped but very lively bar, restaurant and dj scene! Food is generally very good but nothing that particularly stands out as deserving five stars.

My husband and I both really enjoyed our food. The tacos were great and so was literally everything else that we ordered. I also loved my spicy cocktail, cant recall the exact name. The waiter was very sassy, but I wouldn’t say he was rude. I found the vibe to be great as I really enjoy people watching. We paid around 300 usd which isn’t little for a street place like this but I think it was worth it 🍹

Came on a day where there was a heat wave going on and the AC was not working properly. When we asked the waiter about what’s going on with the AC they said it’s not working too good due to the heat outside? This definitely put a damper on my experience because I feel like it would’ve been perfect had the AC been working, drinks were great and so was the food. The music was also good, they played a lot of Spanish music.

I recently visited La Esquina and had a fantastic experience. My server was amazing - attentive and friendly, despite the restaurant being busy. A very nice, simple, yet delicious Mexican restaurant. The location and decor were really to my liking and fit the whole theme perfectly. The food was plentiful but tasty and the service was lightning fast. All the dishes were super fresh tasting and light except the burritas which stood out as the only heavy and somewhat dry dish in the bunch and could benefit from some sort of sauce. The tacos and quesadillas on the other hand were really very good and I would happily come back to try the rest of them.

Recently visited and had the fish taco and shrimp taco.
Both were excellent—well-seasoned, flavorful, and among the best tacos I've had in New York city.

Giving this pace 4 starts because 1. when we went in the summer there was no AC, so it was a bit hot and 2. I thought my salad was extremely mediocre and was very watery on the bottom. We were there pretty early on a weeknight (around 6:30pm) and didn’t have to wait in line to get seated, but the spot looked pretty busy around 8pm. Overall, if you’re in the area and looking to grab something and people watch, this is a good spot, but I wouldn’t travel to eat here.

We merely stopped here for a refreshment on a very hot New York City day.
Cafe Select had a nice menu but alas, we were still digesting our lunch. So a coke and a margarita were on the order.
Sitting up at the bar, out of the heat, we caught up on our plans for the rest of the day.
The decor is absolutely gorgeous, with eye catching posters and prints and bud lights sprinkled across the entire ceiling.
Had to take a photo of the Rolex clock mounted from the roof with Jim’s Omega watch in the foreground. Rolex’s fame of keeping accurate time didn’t hold up well against the Omega.
😂😂😂
If you come to dine, there is seating outdoors on the pavement which is enticing. That along with the funky decor and great customer service, makes #cafeselect one to put on your list.

Eileen's Cheesecake is totally worth the hype! We literally ran to get there before closing, worried they’d be out, but luckily, they still had plenty. This small and cozy bakery sells great mini cheesecakes. With so many flavors options to choose from is hard just to order one. It’s so flavorful. I just wish they will add some seatings. Anyways, try stopping if you are in the area, you won’t regret it.

This is definitely the most addictive cheesecake I’ve ever had. It probably has a lot to do with how it comes in small bite-sized servings making you instantly reach out for another one. Maybe also because it comes in so many delicious flavors and you’d have to get through a lot of combinations to find your favorite. Or maybe it’s really just rich and tasty and perfect in so many ways.

Only tourists think that Juniors is the best cheesecake in NYC. Locals know that the best is really Eileen's. The cheesecake here is tasty and impressively LIGHT - it doesn't make you feel like you've eaten concrete like Juniors. Strawberry is classic; but all the flavors are good.

This was my favorite pastry spot in New York. Small, cozy, and full of charm. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the cheesecakes—whether classic or with fruit topping—are amazing. They’re not huge, but they don’t need to be because the quality is outstanding. A five-star recommendation and a must-visit!
