5 Star Rating We got stuck in Brooklyn traffic. Got off at exit 29 and went to one of our favorite spots. It did not disappoint. Classic Fried Chicken Wings, Vegetable Tempura, and shared a Bacon Cheeseburger. Texas sized Lime Margaritas. It all went down smoothly. Called our daughter on Whatsapp to gloat!!! She was not happy with us. Look at hubby's face, taking that first sip. It says it all...

3 Star Rating I was eager to try the bbq pulled pork sandwich. When we arrived we were seated promptly, our order was taken quickly & we had gotten our drinks. Then the waiter never came back to check on us at all, even after the food was delivered. My friend ordered lettuce& tomato on her sandwich and received none. The fries were cold & the pulled pork & bbq sauce tasted mediocre. We also had to flag down another server to get a condiment. I don't believe I will return, high menu prices, low quality food.

2 Star Rating I want to start out by saying that my wife and I have been going to Dallas BBQ’s as one of our favorite places to go for our date night. We have been to this location from when since they 1st opened, and a few times since. It has been over 3 yrs since our last time at the Downtown Brooklyn location. Upon walking through the doorS, we were hit with a smell of old liquor spilled floors. The floors and the entire interior is in need of a remodeling and renovation. Looking at how the neighborhood itself has changed to a more pricier look and feel with high rise apartments everywhere, then this location needs to keep up with the times. The staff was very pleasant and kind. I was disappointed by them not being able to offer the drinks on the online menu, but the drinks we ordered were great nonetheless. The Vegetable Tempura was delicious. I am uoset that the Gluten Free Soy Sauce was not an option for people with Gluten allergies. My wife ordered the Traditional Quarter Chicken (White meat) with Fries and Cornbread. She said the chicken was delicious, but the Fries and Cornbread were not so much. The fries were over cooked and the cornbread is still the same dry recipe that has been used forever. I ordered the Salmon and Shrimp(Grilled) Combo with Fries. I agree that the fries could have been better. The Salmon was way over cooked to the point that is was dry and tough. Our waiter allowed me to swap for an additional Shrimp. The Texas Size Drinks never disappoint! Henny Coloda is a Go! The interior, and restroom could all use a make over.

3 Star Rating A bit of a disappointing experience for us. We started with tempura broccoli and sticky wings. The broccoli was good and the wings were actually really good. I got the beef ribs which were excellent and my husband got the smokehouse platter which was mixed. The pulled pork was good, ribs were ok but the brisket. It was the worst brisket I have ever tried. It was so tough you couldnt bite through it. We sent it back and the replacement was not as tough but still so chewy and just not great. If you tried serving that in Texas pretty sure you'd get shot.... Our entrees also came the the table about so fast we hadn't even gotten through a single wing each. All in all I wouldn't recommend this place if you want really good bbq. Kind of like Applebee's level food here.

4 Star Rating Great food great seasoning. Only advice I have is please cook your baked chicken I have ordered twice from here for catering to my job. The chicken is still not cooked, potatoes are hard and chicken is still pink. If you are a cuban restaurant I would assume you cook your chicken. Salmon is amazing!

5 Star Rating I had always passed the restaurant but never stopped as I was thinking over thick, slice hero bread with tons of meat stuffed inside, I saw a sign that said Empanadas so I went in and realized I was completely wrong about this restaurant. Ox tails, bake chicken, salads, salmon, and so many other delicious looking meals and did I mention that I love flan and yes they sell that also I can't believe I had misjudged this restaurant for so many years but not anymore. Today, I picked up 3 empernadas, which was good but better with some hot sauce to enhance my taste. I would definitely be back to this Cuban home cooking restaurant. Please go and see what's inside. Don't be like me and misjudg this restaurant for so many years.

5 Star Rating Fast and delicious. This location is close to my job and I just love it when I have it for lunch. I usually get pernil with yellow rice, beans and sweet plantains. This is the full combo, gets me feeling so content and satisfied. Like look at this! I can barely finish it myself. Always bring leftovers home!

5 Star Rating Sophie's has the best oxtail in the area. It is falling off the bone and it comes with up to 3 sides which makes for a great meal. The sweet plantain is a very good side, so is the yucca. There are also healthy salad and beet sides so you can mix things up. All of the food is seasoned and has flavor. Their green sauce is nice if you need some spice without being too hot. Order on their website instead of Uber or other apps. Those apps are like $4 more for everything.

4 Star Rating The burger tastes great for a fast food smash burger, it is definitely one of the better ones that I have had. The waiting time was however too long. There were people in front of me taking forever to discuss who knows what and there seemed to be only one person taking orders despite some more people around. This could definitely be optimized. There were several lemonades to order from but I received something different than I ordered but it was ok so I didn't care but if you do, make sure that they get you what you ordered.

5 Star Rating Update!! They saw they reviewed and told me they knew there was a problem with that shipment and have the thinner crust. That’s great! I really love that one. Thank you!! Awesome customer service. This used to be one of my go-tos for gluten free pizza. They had a thin crispy crust. I ordered it today after a few months and now it was a completely different crust that was fluffy and seriously undercooked. I know it is precooked and just needs to be warmed up but there was no browning on the bottom or edges. Bummed, now on to a bunch more trial and error to find a new go-to.

5 Star Rating I am in this location M-F as it is the nearest Starbucks to my office. The staff is pleasant, fast and always accurate. Though I usually place a mobile order, my items are ready, well prepared and even include the straw and cup of ice I request once I'm in store. When I worked at Starbucks some years ago, the expectation was to have customers in and out of the store in 3 minutes or less. The partners at this location definitely do. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

2 Star Rating For over six months I have been going to this location because it is opened early and the closest to my job. My first encounter months back was terrible but due to proximity I stuck it out. One barista is so rude she always has an attitude and hands you your drink like she hates her job. When putting orders for customers they literally touch the part you drink from and frequently almost spill the coffee when handing it over. I think people only say they are the best so they would make an effort with their drink. The fact that I rather walk a few more minutes for another Starbucks than go here again says a lot. This is one instant that first impression was right.

Traffic is high in and out, which means food is good, but many people around your food. Nice authentic Spanish taste and flavors. Then, last year, I visited the place and came to tears to find the same delicious, consistent flavors and good lunch deals. It was a great nostalgic experience. The salmon used to be served in steak cuts back then. Now, they offer fillets, but equally delicious.

2 Star Rating So gross…..I walked by with my kids and it smelled so good, you could smell the orange chicken..::u go in, it looks okay, not great….then u order. The noodles were gross, had a rubbery taste, the beef and chicken were actually rubbery in texture as well. I got the beef and broccoli, it was literally 2 pieces of beef, and the orange chicken was hard and not flavorful then my child wanted to try something spicy so the man serving the food was like if there is a sweet and spicy beef, we can try, okay sounds good, but the lady ahead of us ordered the same thing, he tells her oh it’s only a little bit, it will be a minute for a fresh batch then proceeds to serve me the cold left over he just told the lady wasn’t enough….like dude wtf. Anyway it’s was gross. None of the food was hot or even warm….the rice was honestly the only thing that was decent ….over all this was horrible and will not go again, I felt gross after the second bite of food and I didn’t even take the left overs, just like toss it. Ur better off going to teriyaki one around the corner or the Chinese spot over on Hoyt and schemerhorn atleast it’s fresher and tastes good, not frozen…. And good luck with finding a seat or clean table.
