We sat outside for a quick lunch. The server was friendly and checked on us several times. Good beer selection and the nachos were awesome.

The girlfriend and I weren’t terribly impressed with this place. All the food we got was not in line with what we had expected. We were especially disappointed by the chicken tenders, which were nothing like the stereotypical chicken tender you’re going to get anywhere else. They’re battered with tiny (I mean tiny) slivers of chicken. Don’t think we will go back if we are craving bar food of any kind. Fried pickles were decent though.

An excellent pub in Brooklyn Heights. The bartender and entire staff are on point, swift and smart. The food is good pub fare, I had the fried chicken sandwich, and while a bit dry, it hit the spot. I’ll be back as often as I can for this staple in NYC pubs. Nachos are great!

Pub in Brooklyn. It is truly a Pub with big choice of draft and can beer. We got roast beef sandwich that supposed to be with the gravy and it was so dry and beef was so old not fresh at all plus fries was so saggy and greasy. Not good experience for bar food. I guess this spot is still good to hang out with friends and get a beer but food make sure you go somewhere else.

Kinda shocked. This had been my favorite Italian restaurant for decades. Reliable, delicious, casual/romantic with super-professional service. The only problem had been the wait for a table on a weekend night, but for such a good place, it was worth it. Went last night for the first time in almost a year, only to discover that the prices have jumped and the quality has nose-dived. Lobster risotto was chalky AND watery. The hand-cut noodles were overcooked and bland (while also over-chilied). The service is still friendly and professional (staff seem to stay forever) and there is ever that $5 glass of wine. But don't let that fool you into thinking this place is still uniquely affordable or especially good.

Food was alright (not meeting expectation tho) but the service from the female staff was very unkind. Not all staffs were unkind, but she was particularly making things uncomfortable. You have some room to improve :)

I loved the mushroom pasta, and the ambiance. The garlic bread with spicy sauce was a great treat, at the same time crunchy and fluffy. The swordfish tasted really good, but it was a bit dry. The staff was friendly, but slow, very clearly overwhelmed by the number of customers.

Amazing restaurant! Definitely a place to visit again! My veal chops were light, right temperature, amazing sauce! Would definitely recommend

This place hit the spot. It had a healthy dose of vegetarian options, including my favorite the pesto, dish. Fun ambiance too that feels authentic, homey, and lively. Would recommend. This place doesn’t take reservations ahead of time and is cash only, so plan accordingly.

I absolutely love Park Plaza! The owner is such a wonderful person. I have celebrated most of my best moments there. My wedding, my college graduation and today my daughter’s birthday. The employees are so welcoming and kind.
I am always excited to visit when I go back to Brooklyn.
Please make sure when you’re visiting to tell a friend or two or three. The place holds a lot of people for any event. The new outdoor space is beautiful at night.

I enjoy coming to this diner for breakfast and lunch. I love the omelettes and their homemade french fries. For lunch, they have some really nice salads which are fresh and have great ingredient combos.
The inside is very comfortable with mostly booths and there is also an outside patio which is really nice in the warmer weather. The staff could not be friendlier or more attentive.

Good food, wine and service. Although More known for their game, their salads are very nice, as are their fish dishes.

I have been eating at Henry’s End for many years and it’s one of my favorite places in Brooklyn Heights. I come for Brunch, lunch and dinner often - the food is excellent and the staff is friendly and I always enjoy the vibes. I love that at brunch they have a new donut they fresh make every day. For brunch I love the French toast and the Egg Torta, and the fried chicken sandwich is delicious too. I love the unique dinners, different types of game like duck and elk chops and other dishes you don’t see anywhere else. This place is family owned and has been in the neighborhood for years, I see some people are leaving 1 star reviews who have never been here and I am someone who has and I truly have always enjoyed my experiences here and would recommend to anyone else

I love this place and have been here many times over the past 20+ years. Had New Year's Eve dinner here since it had been a while. The crab cakes and Elk Chops were amazing. Loved them. Service is always amazing too. I was disappointed though in the Ms. Mud Pie - it used to have toffee in it, and now it has chocolate chips, which I hated. Hope they can bring back the old version as it was much, much better!

Consistently delicious food with meat centric menu and amazing service.
They are famous for their game dishes and my antelope steak with potato gratin was 10/10! The red snapper was also great - nicely flaky and well seasoned.
Though it is definitely a place to try all those exotic meats like elk chops, bison, boar end even a turtle soup.
They have great wine selection. I was impressed you can get a glass of 1970 Medoc Bordeaux for $25 only - in most places you'd have to splurge for a bottle.
The grilled vegetables with polenta and mushrooms salad were perfect apps and also above expectations.
Try not to get stuffed on the fluffy bread in the very beginning!
The ambiance is very casual, though it could easily be a place for a special occasion. They are pretty full every day, so definitely make a reservation at least 3-4 days in advance.

Beyond happy and grateful I found this place. The food was exceptional, my drink was splendid! ( If you have the chance to visit get the margarita… still dreaming of it 🥰 ) I had the burger… SO SO GOOD!!
Two regrets on my end… not getting a burger to-go and not asking the owners if they ship food all they way here to California!
Being stranded for the holiday in Brooklyn had a silver lining because I stumbled across this wonderful restaurant and staff. They made me feel at home, like I was family. Thank you 🩷
Many blessings to you all and happy holidays!
( But seriously? Do you ship to California? 😁)

Fantastic brunch and even better espresso based drinks. The menu itself isn’t anything super out of the ordinary but everything is done well. Their coffee menu has some fun features that are worth a try. Our server was also super sweet and made the experience a standout for us.

I loved everything from the decorations to the service and the amazing french toast. The prices are a little high but the portion sizes for the food were also pretty big, I split mine with my cousin which ended up being just right.
We came with our dog and the staff was so nice, we got a table in the back outdoor patio and they brought out a doggy bowl for water.

Delicious drinks and good food. I tried their o captain my captain cocktail which was very well balanced with a slight kick and the golden cocktail which was also very good on the sweeter side. The burrata small plate is good as well as the white bean dip and eggplant Parm. There are cozy outdoor seats as well. Servers are friendly.

Vineapple is on Pineapple Street. I know, what a cool name, right?
They had some menu up front with baked goods right there, for anyone wanting to get some drinks and quick food to go. Since we were there to dine in, we walked towards the back.
In the back, there were several tables and chairs, in a very cozy atmosphere. Through the back door, they have a lovely patio with tables and chairs as well.
We went there for a brunch. We had Cold Brew because we wanted to get a drink in their pineapple glasses. LOL. Cold brew was strong and good coffee. We also had Sparkling Lavender Cucumber Matcha. It was a very interesting drink that works so well! Very refreshing, not sweet, not too fizzy.
For food, we ordered Brunch Breakfast Sandwich and Shakshuka. Scramble egg was so moist and juicy! Bacon was crunchy. Parmesan fries were very potato-y. It was a really nice sandwich, very tasty and satisfying. I enjoyed every bite!
With the Shakshuka, we added Chorizo for additional $5. Shakshuka was packed with flavor. Chorizo was amazing, egg was cooked perfectly, avocado was just ripe and fresh. It was a really nice shakshuka!
We had such nice brunch there, we decided to go back for more!
During our second visit, we ordered Shaken Lavender Latte. The coffee was strong, amazing taste with perfect sweetness. Very good latte!
For food, this time, We went with The 71 Brunch Burger, and Bacon Egg & Cheese Pizza. The Burger, some say it is the best burger in Brooklyn and I can understand. It had full of flavor, super juicy, and bits of pineapples in there which were great.
Pizza was much larger than expected. It would’ve been enough to share among the two people, plus maybe a dessert to share. It had lots of gooey eggs and bacon, it was a perfect brunch pizza. It was a really good pizza, so satisfying and filling.
We had a really nice brunch here for the second time. During our both visits, server Eddy took care of us. He was very friendly, fun, and courteous. It has quickly become one of our favorite brunch spots!

If you like a crispy slice then look no further! Great low-key little place serving some really solid pizza. I’d give it 8/10. The base is just special. It’s almost like fried toast in its texture but still keeps that fresh doughy flavour. The topping and sauce is a little forgettable but sprinkle it up with plenty of added seasoning and enjoy that crisp!

Some Of the best pizza in Brooklyn! I used to eat lunch and dinner here several times a week years ago. I miss this place. You can't go wrong with a true NY style pizza and pepperoni is the best. I Love Fascati's, it was a large part of my life as a young man in Brooklyn. Buy their pizza!
C Dub, Jr - 10 months ago
Small Old school pizza place, for sure the best in downtown - dumbo area, and probably one of the best in NYC. Don't waste your time or money going somewhere else. Maybe one of the few places that still got anchovies as a topping.
Nicolás Zavala - 2 months ago
A limited selection, pretty much just plain pizza and some toppings. Fascati makes a near flawless regular slice. $3 and no flop at all. The dough is perfect, as well as the sauce. The sauce is flavorful, not too sweet. The cheese tasted a bit weird at first but I think it may have been a fluke. Overall, this pizza is wonderful.

The squid ink pasta was the worst I’ve ever had. The noodles came out colder than room temperature, the seafood in it didn’t seem all that warm or fully cooked either. Too many mussels, and shrimp with tails on.
Atmosphere is dark and fine, but the menu is hard to read in this environment. Could use some bigger bolder fonts, people shouldn’t need to resort to using the flashlight on their phones to be able to order.
The garlic Parmesan fries weird really basic fries, very greasy, and the Parmesan was sprinkled on and didn’t stick.
Extremely overpriced for the quality of food, and the service was lacking like every recent review has said. Do not come here.
Jed Whitaker - a month ago
I came here for an after wedding dinner. As soon as you walk in the bartender at the bar greets you with a friendly welcome. You’re seated faster than most places. The atmosphere is perfect for a date night. The lighting is not too bright and the music is not too loud so you can actually hear who you’re talking to. I had the linguine with fresh clams. The pasta was cooked to a tender texture. Personally, I prefer a little bit more flavor to my food so I had to sprinkle on some salt and pepper. The desserts are delicious and provide a nice ending to your meal. Overall, it was a great experience not taking into account our waiter repeatedly asking us if we wanted to purchase a bottle… Like three times to be exact.. All good.. I still recommend this spot.👍🏼

Fellow Brits, Aussies and avid world travellers please take care to avoid...
What should have been a family reunion to celebrate a lifetime of memories after attending our mother's funeral was tarnished by our two servers behaviour. We were a party of 12, each departing the next day to different parts of the globe, London, Queensland, California and more. The day had been fairly emotional and we were tired and looking forward to meeting up after an afternoon in a cemetery.
We reserved for 7:30, but given the day's events some of us arrived later than others, which initially seemed fine. But strangely as members began arriving and sat down, our server thought it was best to visibly display her annoyance at the staggered arrival by snatching the menus from the hands of some family members and walking with such speed when by our table (we were set apart from the bar and main restaurant) that it was obvious she didn't want to attend. On member waited 15 minutes to order after someone else requested a menu a second time be brought over. Disappointing and unprofessional. Why?
One of the pizzas ordered with anchovies was so salty that it caused our family member to choke after a single bite and on mentioning it to the waitress, she made a point to say, "Well, that's what YOU ordered. We will make another but it will be LATE". Maybe it's because we're accustomed to politeness and manners, but that was blatantly rude. From that moment on, she ramped up the speed walking, menu grabbing, and then added the most disappointing behaviour - she and her colleague stood within earshot of our table and began discussing how "that family needs to leave". At one point early in our meal, the air conditioning kicked in, ceiling fans in motion (which seemed odd given it was -10C outside) . Kids at the table began shivering, and adults were putting on scarves. We asked her if they could turn it down as it was cold, and was told while she couldn't turn off the fans, she'd turn on the heat. Her male colleague server then quipped, deliberately loud enough to be overheard "Well, let's turn on the cold air, that would get them to leave". It filled them with laughter and they nodded to each other, satisfied that it was heard. It was at that precise moment another relative was sharing her account of her time at the cemetery, so no one interrupted her and we tried our best to ignore it. Disappointing and distressing. Why? Why behave like this?
Collectively our table of 12 spent in excess of $800 USD on food and drinks and after being advised we could only split it three ways, I began to calculate everyone's expenses. Remember, we're a group of 12 from different currencies so we had to regroup and divide and calculate who would manage the bill for others. As I tallied up who would pay for what, the male server decided that this was his moment to announce he needed to clean the restaurant and that they were now closed. Yet, sat on the other side of the restaurant was a group of four friends with drinks, enjoying conversation and laughter as well, undisturbed and uninterrupted. At our end, the waitress stood over and watched as we put on our scarves, hats etc. Given the earlier events of the day, we decided it was best to leave. Disappointing and upsetting. Why?
The food was fair, the venue moderate. The behaviour of the staff went from lesser strength to strength : indifferent to odd to dismissive to blatantly rude. I cannot justify spending that sum of money to be insulted and wouldn't want anyone else to experience this.
Shameful.

SUCCESSFUL PURCHASE 🤑
If you’re wondering if Bevacco is a camera store, you’d be wondering about the wrong things. Well, now that I think about it, you’d be wondering about the right things.
I bought a camera at Bevacco but that’s because I had a meet up. Xavier Thorton agreed to meet with me and sell the camera after two glasses. The wine flowed and the vibes were right. Part of me wanted to give Xavier a big smooch on his face! But that would be wrong in so many ways (not in those ways but because the Misses wouldn’t be thrilled)
Thanks! 🇨🇲

Lovely spot nestled into Brooklyn Heights, conveniently located if youre around and always popular for brunch on weekends. The food quality is good, though relatively standard for diner style brunch.
I liked their french toast and omelettes. When there was a bee flying around the staff took care of it very quickly, which was cool.

Unfortunately, most of the stuff we hot was either soggy or just very cold. The steaks were okay. The calamari was not crispy nor hot at all. All of our eggs were very average. I did love the fries though. Service was great and the vibe of the place is sweet. Overall, we were REALLY disappointed with the food.

Great selection for today. There was a bit of a wait but I definitely see why. The service was top notch and the food was A1. The big breakfast is the way to go. You get everything from pancakes to eggs, sausage and bacon. This now one of my favorite places in Brooklyn.

Great food although a little expensive. wasn't too busy when i went there for lunch on a weekday but i heard it gets busy on the weekends for brunch. I had the eggs benedict and a cookie and both were super good. I would have given it a higher score but the waiter was never around and the people next to us were so loud that people around us kept staring and making comments but the staff did nothing to address this.

A hidden gem in Brooklyn heights. I was pleasantly surprised to find this small, mom and Pop restaurant, but was even more surprised with how delicious the food was. It was just one person behind the counter and the prices were very affordable.
The food was well seasoned, delicious, and had the home cooked feeling. The lentil soup was delicious as well as the hummus. But the falafel‘s were amazing. I’ve honestly never had such good falafel: moist, but crunchy and flakey. Perfectly salted. You didn’t need to eat it with anything. Well executed.
I definitely recommend this place to all and will be back here soon.

He gave us a piece of the baklava and falafel to try - the baklava wasn’t too sweet which I liked and the falafel was also yummy and had a nice crunch on the outside and soft inside. Definitely want to try the falafel sandwich next time!
