My meatball Nana would be proud of the food here. Best meatballs I have had since standing next to meatball Nana with my hands out patiently waiting for her to place a piece of white bread, then a meatball with a dash of sauce on top before she would scoot me out of the kitchen. Meat ball Nana passed away at the age of 101 thank you for making the best meatballs I have had since then.

Very nice place to seat at and prices are decent, but some of our pizzas were served cold-ish and were somewhat under cooked even for Neapolitan pizza. The crust was over charred but had a decent chew and puff. The sauce was a little too loose and that made for a messy watery pizza, that was quite garlicky but not savory enough. The four cheese pizza was by far the best of all the ones we tried because there wasn’t a pool of sauce in it, and the Gorgonzola gives it a nice kick. I’m in love with Neapolitan pizza, but this one was a little disappointing 😐
Service is welcoming but messy and quite unorganized.

Wow! This place it’s simply so cozy 🥰 we truly loved the pizza, it tastes homemade, like it is made from scratch. The server was very knowledgeable and offered great recommendations. We ordered the spicy honey and the pepperoni three cheeses and it did not disappoint. We also ordered two glasses of Lambrusco which were okay, not the best but it wasn’t the worse. The place was packed but honestly we did not care about the noise because the vibes were really nice. Highly recommended!

We were the only dine in customers. They brought us water immediately. The appetizers were excellent, though I feel the staff is not good at explaining the dishes. The Lamb saagwala is good. I wanted to try new things, so the only known thing I ordered was garlic naan. I can't handle hot spicy food, so I deliberately asked before choosing my food choices.

Discovered this gem after moving to the neighborhood. Hands down best Indian cuisine I’ve had. Plus the interior is so cozy and calm, pretty quiet so you can have nice conversation. A great way to end the day 🙌

Ordered take out through ChowNow. The person providing the food over the counter was quick and accommodating. The restaurant itself appeared clean and warm, the packaging of my food was strong, they were clearly doing a brisk take-out business, so good to see/know.
The food unfortunately, wasn't the best. The samosas on this occasion were overcooked 150% (so, dark brown, very hard, and not even slightly flakey), the "thimbles" of sauce were no where near enough for three samosas (FYI, ask for extra). The food (sag aloo, and an eggplant dish) were fine, portion-wise, but honestly both were pretty bland. Needed more salt and flavor in general. The rice was oily, but had good flavor (bay leaves and cardamon pods). The portions / value was really good, but again, the flavor was mediocre.
All in all, I wish I could say that the food was fantastic (especially since a lot of reviews make it seem so), but while it wasn't by any stretch awful, it just wasn't great. I'll give it another go another day, but for a first experience, I personally wasn't impressed. Your milage may vary. If it's convenient to you, it's a fair choice, but I'll still be trying other neighboring spots as well.

Stroll into either door (Franklin or St. John’s) to enjoy a potent cocktail and satisfying bar food. Nice tap selection. Try the house burger or grab an Impossible. Wings and dipping sauces work fine. Casual vibes with some upscaled decor. Plenty of room for groups.

Came here a few times about 5 years ago. Had the regular and turkey burger, both great. Stopped in tonight for the first time since then. They recommended their new and improved Turkey burger. It was delicious. The herb mayo complimented the sandwich and sweet potato fries very well. Fries were crispy. Juicy and flavorful especially for a turkey burger. It was about $30 after tip. To be fair since bare burger is around the same price (this beats it by a milestone) I'd say in this economy it's to be expected. I'd pay for it again but wouldn't be something I could throw down for once a week.

Great neighborhood spot for food and drinks. In the warmer weather, you have the choice of dining inside or outside. A chill spot. You can even bring your pet to dine in their outside yard.

I looove Franklin Park. I’ve been several times because it’s close to the train, and the patio is always a great vibe! They have a huge variety of drinks and food options for vegetarians and omnivores alike. I’m obsessed with their Parmesan truffle fries. My favorite drink is the purple thing since I’m a gin girlie! 10/10 recommend.

Exactly the best Mexican Restaurant in New York, maybe in United States!! Tacos is good, tortillias are good, cocktails are also amazing. If you want to eat tasty and not gonna leave one million dollars in the restaurant, it is the best choice. Some pics of the food also)

One of the best experiences I have had in NYC. Food was exquisite, staff and service were 10/10, drinks were amazing and everything was very very well priced. Had the chicken quesadillas as well as chicken tacos were delicious.
But best part was, on my way out one of the great gentlemans working their pull me aside for a shot of tequila with him on the house… how good! Would recommend to everyone local or tourist!

So happy to have discovered Chavelas last night. Met up with a friend for dinner and was warmly greeted at the door by the hostess. The decor, lighting and music (overall vibe) made me feel instantly happy to be there. It's walk-in only but was fortunate to get a table at 6:15 because the place was full (on a Monday night) when we left. Alan, our server was wonderful and took great care of us. The spicy margarita was delicious and actually very spicy, which I appreciated. We absolutely loved the special short rib tacos and empanadas. So flavorful. We shared the Aurelia's mole and enjoyed the flavors but thought the chicken was a bit dry. That's the only slight criticism we had. Absolutely recommend this restaurant and I look forward to my next visit.

Please do yourself a favor and try the crab tostada because that was the best crab dish I may have ever had in my life. Be sure to try the guacamole as well - it’s extremely fresh!
I can’t remember my server’s name unfortunately (I think Cassandra? Taller with long hair), but she was so amazing. Very attentive and hospitable, as were the other staff.
Definitely will be back with friends. Lucky to have this in Crown Heights!

Went here with some friends for brunch and was a bit disappointed. For starters upon arrival the restaurant looks closed for the outside , luckily one of the staff members were outside and invited me in. Upon entering, the restaurant is very spacious and clean.( I can easily see this as the perfect venue to throw an event) . I ended up getting there way ahead of my two friends and the bartender took pity on me and offered me a mimosa on the house, which tasted amazing. Once my friends arrived, we ordered a plethora of food ranging from chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, fish and grits along with a picture of mimosas. my friend seem to enjoy their food. However, I thought the food was a bit underwhelming (I had the chicken and waffles). please know this is personal preference and also know that I’ve brunched quite a bit, and this was very underwhelming to me simply on taste. My friends seem to have enjoyed their food and didn’t make any complaints. The service was great and not too long after my friends arrived, so did the DJ. Pros: Very nice vibey atmosphere, especially once the music is going. The staff are very nice and accommodating as they needed to be a few changes made to one of my friends order because she is vegetarian. Although I did not like my food, the portion sizes were really good, especially for the price and they have vegetarian options. CONS: when they have brunch, that is the only thing available to order which sucks because the brunch menu is very limited in comparison to their dinner menu. I do think I’ll return as I do think they’re done the menu is much more appealing to me. It seems like the night scene is where it’s at up in there lololol. So for now until next time as I’ll definitely be back..

Got my food to go during the West Indian parade and it was the best soul food I had experience so far in NYC, Laurence the chef wasn’t joking about his catfish, the green been also tasted amazing and the Mac and cheese it was definitely different from the average, I’ll be definitely looking forward to have a proper dinner at his venue

Drinks are on point! The food is delicious! The bouncers about the business! And there’s a woman that works there that has the most bubbliest personality. I think she’s from down south. I had such a good time with her! This place is like home. Atlanta Stone Mountain, Georgia home! I had such a good time at this restaurant! Almost forgot about the DJ!! But how could I he was about the business as well!!

Your average Starbucks. Great drinks, service, and interior design. My issue though, is that it's too packed almost all the time. The space is too small and seating is not enough to accommodate the amount of customers.

I order my cold drink at 8:35 am, I receive my in store order 15 minutes later. I was told the mobile orders come out with the In store order so they backed up. That is unfair for the people who are coming into the Starbucks. Thank you to the young lady that helped the guy on cold drinks because he just gave me a cold shoulder letting me know my order not up.

I literally come here because Rachel is so kind and welcoming. I thought I came over to my family's house to have dinner the way the service was so homely. Even the customers who came in after us I thought were friends with the owner due to the comfortable conversation they were having. Amazing place to have something healthy to eat late in the evening. Intimate, warm, cozy, and full with love and gorgeous plants. Mix max colorful caribbean-style decorated spot. We were going to take it to go, but decided to stay and enjoy the lovely atmosphere. It's not a place for large groups, but a romantic date or hanging out with a couple of friends would be fitting. We can't wait to return and try other dishes on the menu.

I recently moved to the neighborhood and have been meaning to try this place out- we stopped by their smoothie shop today and Shonda was SO friendly. We were a little undecided on what to get, and she recommend the damn boy wrap but with her modifications- adding rice and plantains and it was fantastic. She was so nice to split it and our smoothies three ways for us without us even asking. Everything was delicious. Then on top of that, she gave us one of their macadamia cookies to try before we left. The vibes were excellent, the food was great, service outstanding. So excited to live close by, will 100% be coming back

This cozy restaurant was like stopping by a family members house for a good home cooked meal. In this case sooooo good. We ordered the Ital Veggie Jerk Chicken and the Thai-Fi Stew. Absolutely delicious, seasoned well, and made with a whole lot of love. Then we ordered the carrot cake. It was so good that we ordered another piece and it was the last piece of cake. We will be back.

Michael (the owner) is the NICEST. Lovely eclectic decor, lots of seating for a small place. Food was uniformly great: tender, moist, well-seasoned. The veggie jerk chicken was particularly awesome! Also, don’t miss the “Yes I” smoothie.

Very surprised and sad that I didn’t come here sooner! Tried their Sicilian square and original slice and both were excellent. This is a quality Brooklyn pizza joint with the vibe that seems to be missing from a lot of places. The owners were very friendly and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Definitely looking forward to my next time here.
Andrew Dabydeen - 5 months ago
I got there a little before closing and they were putting everything away. Luckily the Sicilian cousin was there and he was nice enough to make me a pie. My advice would be is to get there one hour before closing just to make sure you are going to get what you want. I was impressed with the way the dough was thick and crispy. My wife being from Argentina loved the pizza because there was a lot of cheese. One last thing, if you want to save a few dollars pay with cash.

Woooowwwww! I went on a Thursday afternoon to grab slices and dessert for my friend and I. Everything was amazing! The pesto burrata was so flavorful and creamy. The everything seasoning on the pepperoni had me loving the crust just as much as the rest of the pie. Not sure what the last one is called but I think it had like sesame seasoning on the crust and it was delicious! Service here was also excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful with suggestions. I think one of the owners, Joe, was at the counter and he was very sweet. I thought the prices for the specialty slices were a bit high, $6.50, but after eating, I felt they were well worth the price. Highly recommend you try this place for good pizza with good quality ingredients and flavor.

Enjoyed a pumpernickel everything with garlic and herb cream cheese. The cream cheese was great and the bagel was good though I had wished it had been toasted a bit less. Also had a vanilla iced coffee which was fine overall though had a weird aftertaste. It was a relatively quick experience so I would visit again.

The overall experience was enjoyable. However, the setup for ordering a hot beverage was a bit confusing. The two lines—one for bagels and one for coffee—could use better organization.
That said, the plain bagel with cream cheese was excellent. It had just the right amount of cream cheese, making it easy to eat without being messy—a genuinely pleasant eating experience.
The regular coffee was also solid—smooth, not burnt, and satisfying.
Seating was readily available, and it was easy to find space for a group.
I’d definitely come back.

Their BEC bagel is excellent, one of the best I’ve had! The bacon & eggs were cooked perfectly.
Easily the best bagels I’ve had in this area! Really nice chew, seeds on both sides, great flavor.
Their smoothies are great too!
Music is way too loud for my liking, so I usually get food to go. But the outdoor seating is great when the weather’s nice. I’d definitely come by more often if the music was a bit quieter & less inside!
