Wow! This place it’s simply so cozy 🥰 we truly loved the pizza, it tastes homemade, like it is made from scratch. The server was very knowledgeable and offered great recommendations. We ordered the spicy honey and the pepperoni three cheeses and it did not disappoint. We also ordered two glasses of Lambrusco which were okay, not the best but it wasn’t the worse. The place was packed but honestly we did not care about the noise because the vibes were really nice. Highly recommended!

Barboncino Pizza was absolutely delicious! We arrived around 7:35 PM and did not get seated until around 8:50 PM. We were able to hang out at the bar, so it all worked out.
The food was delicious and came out quick, the drinks were great too.
The menu is small but not small to the point where there wasn’t something for everyone.
I would recommend the caprese salad & any of their pizzas with hot honey & basil added!

cpd (cost per dollar): 3/5
cpd (cost per flavor): 1/5
truthfully the restaurant was quite busy which was probably a factor in the pizza which was somehow quite burnt on top and yet almost raw underneath. for the cost of the pizzas and the wait (which was almost an hour after ordering), wasn’t worth it for me!
servers are great though! :-)

Got the clam pizza.
Crust was good. Flavor was good, but missing the clam flavor. I understand a heavy clam taste might be offputting, but it is supposed to be the main ingredient.

Had the pleasure of dining at Barboncino recently, a wonderful experience overall and highly recommend. I know their Margherita pizza is out of this world and it was even better than I remembered. I asked for a suggestion on a wine and the bartender, Nikola, gave a great recommendation and made me feel right at home. His friendly demeanor and excellent service are top-notch so if you are at the bar, you should ask for him. And for anyone in Brooklyn looking for great pizza, wine, and even better hospitality, you should go to Barboncino now! Get that pizza!

We were the only dine in customers. They brought us water immediately. The appetizers were excellent, though I feel the staff is not good at explaining the dishes. The Lamb saagwala is good. I wanted to try new things, so the only known thing I ordered was garlic naan. I can't handle hot spicy food, so I deliberately asked before choosing my food choices.

Had the opportunity of enjoying this establishment for the first time. A early Birthday dinner for my cousin and I. At first I was a little skeptical cause I never ate Indian food . Let me tell you they did not disappoint me at all. I ordered the Red snapper with the vegetable rice. Food came out sizzling hot. When I say it was ooh so good. Lot of veggies on the fish but that was ok. Look I didn’t think about taking pictures. 😂😂😂😂 I was ready to dive in. That’s just what I did. Yes I recommend giving it a try. You and your friends, solo night. Date night or what ever. Just keep in mind it’s not a big establishment but it’s worth the time. Trust me.

Came here a few times about 5 years ago. Had the regular and turkey burger, both great. Stopped in tonight for the first time since then. They recommended their new and improved Turkey burger. It was delicious. The herb mayo complimented the sandwich and sweet potato fries very well. Fries were crispy. Juicy and flavorful especially for a turkey burger. It was about $30 after tip. To be fair since bare burger is around the same price (this beats it by a milestone) I'd say in this economy it's to be expected. I'd pay for it again but wouldn't be something I could throw down for once a week.

ive been coming here for like a decade. food is always great. the new thing they've done with the outside chill/bar in the last few years is really cool. love this place, staff is super nice. i took off a start because the grade is pending that's always a concern for me.

Stroll into either door (Franklin or St. John’s) to enjoy a potent cocktail and satisfying bar food. Nice tap selection. Try the house burger or grab an Impossible. Wings and dipping sauces work fine. Casual vibes with some upscaled decor. Plenty of room for groups.

Beware!! The signage is deceiving. I thought I had to order at the bar. Did that (even though the server will come to your table). There was confusion about the fry order and she just gave me the classic instead of the waffle fries. She never picked up our baskets, even though she came by at some point. The service was dismal (not 20% worthy). She asked to keep my CC and then proceeded to charge me without allowing me to see the bill. When the tip screen came on, I was like, FINE, I’ll give the 20% (lowest amt possible without doing the math) and then when I sent myself the receipt, I noticed that the tip is not just on the subtotal, but taxes too. Don’t be me. Make sure you get all the information and don’t trust that you aren’t being deceived. Transparency is key.

Good lunch special for a burger, but toppings are expensive. Went for a lunch special the other day. Burger was good, but it was quite small. It does come with fries, lettuce, tomato and a pickle. Otherwise they do serve alcohol because they are part of Franklin Park bar. I wanted to get a shake too, but they are incredibly expensive. They start at $9. Staff is friendly and attentive. Most tables are 2 person tables but there are two booths available for larger parties. Place is wheelchair accessible.

So happy to have discovered Chavelas last night. Met up with a friend for dinner and was warmly greeted at the door by the hostess. The decor, lighting and music (overall vibe) made me feel instantly happy to be there. It's walk-in only but was fortunate to get a table at 6:15 because the place was full (on a Monday night) when we left. Alan, our server was wonderful and took great care of us. The spicy margarita was delicious and actually very spicy, which I appreciated. We absolutely loved the special short rib tacos and empanadas. So flavorful. We shared the Aurelia's mole and enjoyed the flavors but thought the chicken was a bit dry. That's the only slight criticism we had. Absolutely recommend this restaurant and I look forward to my next visit.

This was my first time and when I left, I could not stop talking about this place. ABSOLUTELY delish!! The atmosphere is beautiful, I went with a friend but it can definitely make for a nice date night! I had a variety of fish and shrimp tacos, chips with guacamole, and a really strong margarita! Can't wait to go again once I'm back in NY!!

My family and I had such a wonderful experience when we all stopped by for some delicious tacos! It was the best New York taco I’ve ever had! (And I just moved here from Houston TX so I know my tacos)! The waiter literally made our day. He wasn’t rushed and made us just feel really taken care of which is something we all needed to feel as a family as all of our family who would normally be helping right now is back in Texas. My husband Ken just finished his last chemotherapy treatment two days ago, and he has been in unimaginable pain on and off for months. I’d have to say the atmosphere, the food and most importantly, the service made him feel so loved. We will be back!

Excellent food and atmosphere. Really high quality Mexican food with great staff. The guacamole is served in a traditional lava bowl with house made tortilla ‘chips’ and the tacos are next level. Neighborhood gem. Highly recommended.

Went here with some friends for brunch and was a bit disappointed. For starters upon arrival the restaurant looks closed for the outside , luckily one of the staff members were outside and invited me in. Upon entering, the restaurant is very spacious and clean.( I can easily see this as the perfect venue to throw an event) . I ended up getting there way ahead of my two friends and the bartender took pity on me and offered me a mimosa on the house, which tasted amazing. Once my friends arrived, we ordered a plethora of food ranging from chicken and waffles, steak and eggs, fish and grits along with a picture of mimosas. my friend seem to enjoy their food. However, I thought the food was a bit underwhelming (I had the chicken and waffles). please know this is personal preference and also know that I’ve brunched quite a bit, and this was very underwhelming to me simply on taste. My friends seem to have enjoyed their food and didn’t make any complaints. The service was great and not too long after my friends arrived, so did the DJ. Pros: Very nice vibey atmosphere, especially once the music is going. The staff are very nice and accommodating as they needed to be a few changes made to one of my friends order because she is vegetarian. Although I did not like my food, the portion sizes were really good, especially for the price and they have vegetarian options. CONS: when they have brunch, that is the only thing available to order which sucks because the brunch menu is very limited in comparison to their dinner menu. I do think I’ll return as I do think they’re done the menu is much more appealing to me. It seems like the night scene is where it’s at up in there lololol. So for now until next time as I’ll definitely be back..

Got my food to go during the West Indian parade and it was the best soul food I had experience so far in NYC, Laurence the chef wasn’t joking about his catfish, the green been also tasted amazing and the Mac and cheese it was definitely different from the average, I’ll be definitely looking forward to have a proper dinner at his venue

Your average Starbucks. Great drinks, service, and interior design. My issue though, is that it's too packed almost all the time. The space is too small and seating is not enough to accommodate the amount of customers.

I made my order online and the payment went through. Went to collect but one item was missing. I was disappointed but understood they had nothing to do with it. The server and cashier made sure I left with a huge smile on my face. Sometimes it's the small things and for that we should give thanks. Awesome job team.

I literally come here because Rachel is so kind and welcoming. I thought I came over to my family's house to have dinner the way the service was so homely. Even the customers who came in after us I thought were friends with the owner due to the comfortable conversation they were having. Amazing place to have something healthy to eat late in the evening. Intimate, warm, cozy, and full with love and gorgeous plants. Mix max colorful caribbean-style decorated spot. We were going to take it to go, but decided to stay and enjoy the lovely atmosphere. It's not a place for large groups, but a romantic date or hanging out with a couple of friends would be fitting. We can't wait to return and try other dishes on the menu.

I recently moved to the neighborhood and have been meaning to try this place out- we stopped by their smoothie shop today and Shonda was SO friendly. We were a little undecided on what to get, and she recommend the damn boy wrap but with her modifications- adding rice and plantains and it was fantastic. She was so nice to split it and our smoothies three ways for us without us even asking. Everything was delicious. Then on top of that, she gave us one of their macadamia cookies to try before we left. The vibes were excellent, the food was great, service outstanding. So excited to live close by, will 100% be coming back

This cozy restaurant was like stopping by a family members house for a good home cooked meal. In this case sooooo good. We ordered the Ital Veggie Jerk Chicken and the Thai-Fi Stew. Absolutely delicious, seasoned well, and made with a whole lot of love. Then we ordered the carrot cake. It was so good that we ordered another piece and it was the last piece of cake. We will be back.

Woooowwwww! I went on a Thursday afternoon to grab slices and dessert for my friend and I. Everything was amazing! The pesto burrata was so flavorful and creamy. The everything seasoning on the pepperoni had me loving the crust just as much as the rest of the pie. Not sure what the last one is called but I think it had like sesame seasoning on the crust and it was delicious! Service here was also excellent. Everyone was friendly and helpful with suggestions. I think one of the owners, Joe, was at the counter and he was very sweet. I thought the prices for the specialty slices were a bit high, $6.50, but after eating, I felt they were well worth the price. Highly recommend you try this place for good pizza with good quality ingredients and flavor.

Very surprised and sad that I didn’t come here sooner! Tried their Sicilian square and original slice and both were excellent. This is a quality Brooklyn pizza joint with the vibe that seems to be missing from a lot of places. The owners were very friendly and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Definitely looking forward to my next time here.
Andrew Dabydeen - 3 months ago
I got there a little before closing and they were putting everything away. Luckily the Sicilian cousin was there and he was nice enough to make me a pie. My advice would be is to get there one hour before closing just to make sure you are going to get what you want. I was impressed with the way the dough was thick and crispy. My wife being from Argentina loved the pizza because there was a lot of cheese. One last thing, if you want to save a few dollars pay with cash.

Really love the different types of slices. The staff is always really friendly and whenever I have my dog outside, they have offered treats for them. Just a solid place for a good slice. They aren’t more expensive than other places doing specialty slices- we’re just not in a time of $5.00 slices anymore.
I do wish online they would list their specialty slices they have available for order:

One of the best bagels I’ve had in the city! I had previously checked out another location in Manhattan, but this one is so much better! Great bagels!! Love the hummus, they put lots of avocado on too. My husband says the cookies are the best he’s had. The only negative is my friend who’s gluten free says the gluten free bagels are not good.

Honestly the best bacon egg and cheese on a bagel I've ever had. Their bagels are fresh and made in house daily. The atmosphere inside and out is also a nice look. The only reason I didn't give this place five stars is because I'm a huge cold brew fan and to me theirs taste just off, almost burnt. Otherwise this place is a must go if you're a bagel lover like myself.
