I’m usually not picky about service, but this experience left me sad and uncomfortable. The difference in service for certain customers made me question my presence here. I hoped that the food would help me ignore all this, but even that was mediocre.

Such a great little spot!! Delicious food and some of the best service I've received in a while. ☺️

Great food and great service and I would highly recommend! The staff is very attentive and friendly, I had the avocado toast and it tasted fresh and well seasoned. I would definitely go back!

Nice atmosphere, kind staff, but the pastries were not fresh. The caneles were very tough, the French cream doughnut and bread were okay. Definitely not worth a stop for the food, but a nice quiet stop.

Greate place to stop by at lunch, friendly staff. Miguel is the best person to discuss lunch options.
Attractive price for special menu between 11 and 3 during weekdays.
Thank you.

I went to this restaurant with my family of eight without a reservation and they were so accommodating and patient with all of us the food was really good. Definitely recommend the garlic bread With wings and the service was so great our server Miguel took really good care of us and make sure that we had everything we needed and checked up on us as well! My drink was really good and the bill was not so bad for 8 people

Excellent restaurant with great food, atmosphere, and prices. For just $10, I enjoyed a juicy, tender burger made from the finest beef and a craft beer. The experience was enhanced by porcelain plates, a wooden table, cozy sofas, and the attentive service of a pleasant waiter.

Returned for lunch after a long absence. Had the steak sandwich and Jerk Chicken Wings along with a Greenport beer. The guys I went with had a spicy chicken sandwich and a burger. The burgers and sandwiches come bare so we ordered a side of cheese fries to share. We all agreed that the wings and fries were fantastic and the sandwiches & burgers were great. Caught up with a little Euro cup while we ate. Very positive experience.

Came here and sat outside. They have happy hour specials from 3-6 from Tuesday to Friday. We started off with cocktails which were a good amount of sweet and refreshing. We ordered brussel sprouts, wings, and mac and cheese to share. I also got the fried chicken sandwich and we got chocolate chip cookies with the bill. The meal was good and the service was prompt.

The sushi is very good and the service is fast and friendly. It is packed inside. The other dishes like chicken and white rice are also good. The sushi rolls and miso soup are very good and better than nearby places especially for the price. The rolls are better than Whole Foods and about the same price.

Very good lunch specials for the price. Place gets busy during this time, noticed that a lot of take out orders were slamming the 3 sushi chefs but they seemed to be handling it we. Still got my lunch special, 3 Maki rolls, relatively quick. Very tasty and satisfying.

Went to Akimoto Sushi with 4 friends and the 5 of us could barely fit into the restuarant. It is scarce on space, almost claustrophobic, so don't plan on staying too long. The food was pretty good. We got the lunch Salmon and Chicken Teriyaki bento boxes, crab salad, spicy crunchy shrimp rolls, tuna sushi, miso soup, salad, and green tea. 🍣 The establishment seems to be family owned as the waiters were two young boys, both between the ages of 11-15. We paid about $80 to feed 5 people which is a bargain in my book. All in all, it's a no frill Sushi spot. The food is good, the portions are decent and the prices are extremely affordable. Do not expect stellar service but do expect to leave quite satiated with change to spare.

This is surprisingly affordable and fresh sushi. I should say we ordered vegan dishes for all eight of us, so I cannot comment on the sashimi or other sushi that there are other mixed reviews on. We enjoy the miso, avocado cucumber and sweet potato tempura rolls. The food was delivered quickly too! If you have a big family to feed and want to have sushi, this is a great option for vegans/vegetarians.

Dinner time is sushi time for me so next I tried this sushi place on church st. In Manhattan and found this ordinary place has some extraordinary creations on their menu which was yum! Decor and ambiance of this place does not impress you but my order made up for everything else. Good food👍, must try if you are on a budget in NYC!!

I received amazing customer service, very friendly courteous staff. The food I ordered was delicious. Definitely a new go to spot when I'm working in the area.

Good food but a bit overpriced for the portion. I had their lunch "Feast", and since I am vegetarian, instead of a chicken choice, I asked for two veggies (mushroom bhaji and sarson ka saag). When the waitress asked if I wanted rice or naan or both, I chose only rice, which I came to regret, as the portions were quite small, and I was still hungry after wiping clean the entire plate. There was a good lunch crowd, all the seats were taken, and an older gentleman vacated a bar stool next to the serving counter. He sat on the other bar stool to work on his laptop. Later he asked me how I liked my food - I realized he was the owner of the restaurant. Seeing his turban, I asked him if he was Sikh? Yes he was - then he must be a vegetarian too (no wonder the veggie dishes tasted so good!); and also like me, a meat-cooking vegetarian :-). All in all, I liked the food, but wished for a better portion.

We visited this wonderful place and were absolutely delighted! We ordered homemade lemonade, pizza, and dessert — everything was just perfect! The pizza, baked in a wood-fired oven, was especially good: thin crust, an amazing garlic sauce as the base, and fresh ingredients. The lemonade was refreshing, and the dessert was the sweet finishing touch to the evening. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff is friendly and attentive. We will definitely come back again!

This is a solid little restaurant for good fire grilled pizza in Manhattan!! The smaller pizza is 6 slices and the larger one is 8 slices. Crust is thin and crunchy. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and a Hawaiian. Both were delicious! Air conditioned inside. Bathrooms available. No changing station for little ones - just FYI. Great find!

Food was okay and we got our orders fairly quickly. I would say the server gave a non-friendly vibe with our group but then we saw how he interacted with another patron and we were like oh I guess he doesn't like us lol. The chicken on my penne was a little dry. Pizza was freshly made. Overall service was just mediocre, nothing special to make us come back.

Location : 154 Church Street NYC 10007. I
never had potato flour pizza before and it wasn't bad. It's not like the real pizza but for a quick bite it was pretty good. Seemed undercooked, nope that's the pizza itself. Pizza is chewy and elastic feeling. The sauce is hard to identify and the cheese is an average grade cheese. I compare this pizza to Papa John's.

If you enjoy cornmeal on your pizza and generous slices, then this place is for you. The slices are very good put the rolls have too much dough. Stick with the slices and you won't be disappointed

Really good pizza! During our 5 days in NYC we've eaten there at least 4 times.
We always went for the Cheese Pizza slice and once for the garlic bread - both really good!
You can choose pizza with thin bottom (preffered by us, more Italian) or the one with a thick bottom (more American).
Staff is really friendly and helpful too! You can kindly ask them how long they shall warm-up your pizza.

After a day of walking around in hot New York, we stumbled onto this pizza place. It is located close to the WTC, has plenty of indoor seating, good prices and a working AC. We had sausage and mushrooms and margherita pizza and they were simply the best! The staff was also very friendly, just an awesome place to visit and eat, definitely recommend!

Quick.
Quality slices.
Options.
Crispy bottom.
Soft top.
Cheese + breaded chicken slice. Chicken tastes like chopped chicken tenders vs breaded breast but not a bad flavor.
Decent sized sitting area.

everything i was hoping for in a quick heat-it-up pizza place. crusty hot pizza. not too salty or greasy. not soggy. fast service. soft drinks and beer available. very basic tables and chairs. chili flakes and oregano. good variety of pizzas, some calzones, something that looks like a croissant but made of bread dough with savory filling , stromboli (i think). and some garlic rolls(?). brisk business inside even though it was appx 4pm. near world trade center so we were able to eat quickly and hop on the path train. a lot cheaper than my 2 bowls of pasta+ fizzywater at EAtly which cost $88 earlier in the day

Not sure if it’s the same owners but I have been coming here since 2001 (!). My office used to be right across the street. I no longer work there and the building isn’t even there anymore but whenever I am in the neighborhood I grab a slice. The slices are large and delicious, priced well, and the staff is always nice and welcoming. A short walk from the 9-11 museum and Oculus. Plenty of seating.

Amazing pizza spot for anyone who likes pizza. Amazing selection, and all of them are good, you can’t go wrong. The options, price and people are amazing here. I had 2 slices and this pizza spot looks low key, but the taste is high key. Would recommend this place to anyone coming near Times Square a must go for pizza lots of veggie options too. 5/5

I've lived in NYC for 3 years and this is some of the best Indian food I've had. On top of that, the service was excellent. We were able to celebrate a birthday and even though we were a party of 16 with 6 kids, everything went flawlessly. Thank you! Can't wait to return.

Dined in on a Friday and had the lunch special - samosas, chicken Andhra curry (curry leaves and coconut milk base), garlic naan and a small rice pudding for dessert. I was stuffed! I loved the atmosphere, it was calm yet lively. Lots of Indian families eating lunch (always a good sign) and it’s a huge airy space compared to most other restaurants in NYC. I felt very comfortable dining solo. At 3pm they have drinks specials and would definitely come back for that! The staff were kind, courteous and so sweet!

Went for my 25th birthday dinner and though it was a Friday night, they weren't too busy. The service was attentive, thoughtful, and honestly just a very pleasant time—not to mention the incredible food. Spicy, well-balanced, and probably some of the best Indian food I've had in the city. Definitely the best Chicken 65 I've ever had in my life. Also ordered a cocktail and the tropical flavors paired perfectly with the cuisine. Will be back, and I recommend you go, too.

Exquisite Dining at BENARES: A Culinary Jewel on Tribeca, NYC
Nestled on 45 Murray Street, BENARES transports its guests to the rich culinary traditions of Northern India with a modern, upscale flair. From the moment you step inside, the warm ambiance, impeccable service, and vibrant aroma of spices set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
For starters, the Benarsi Kachori is an absolute delight. This traditional dish, masterfully crafted, boasts crispy lentil-stuffed pastries paired with tangy tamarind and spicy mint chutneys. Each bite is a harmonious blend of crunch, tang, and spice—a perfect introduction to the meal ahead.
The pièce de résistance is undoubtedly the Laal Maas, a fiery Rajasthani lamb curry. The depth of flavor is extraordinary, balanced perfectly with the heat, making it an essential order for spice enthusiasts and anyone seeking a truly authentic Indian delicacy.

I typically don’t leave reviews but I had to for my most recent experience. Ive ordered from here a lot in the past with no problems. I recently had an issue with getting a wrong sandwich and Laura who I believe may be the manager really went above and beyond to make it better without me even asking (I just wanted to get the sandwich I ordered). The lunch rush around here ain’t easy but their team is always working fast.

Their was no other customer, and yet I had to wait a few minutes to be served as I was gossiped about in my face about my outfit, and the workers / managers on their phones. The soup/Mac was undercooked, and not worth it.
