I’m usually not picky about service, but this experience left me sad and uncomfortable. The difference in service for certain customers made me question my presence here. I hoped that the food would help me ignore all this, but even that was mediocre.

Such a great little spot!! Delicious food and some of the best service I've received in a while. ☺️

Great food and great service and I would highly recommend! The staff is very attentive and friendly, I had the avocado toast and it tasted fresh and well seasoned. I would definitely go back!

Nice atmosphere, kind staff, but the pastries were not fresh. The caneles were very tough, the French cream doughnut and bread were okay. Definitely not worth a stop for the food, but a nice quiet stop.

great LPQ! there's a lack of staff but the people who do work here were so nice, attentive, and the food came quickly! everything was absolutely delicious, i especially recommend the all of the soups, the ancient grain bowl, and the cauliflower and cheddar frittata! it was the perfect place to have a good meal with family :)

This is not just farm to table. It's an experience. Firstly, finger foods literally is meant to be eaten with the fingers. Then comes everything else. The quality of food, the flavors and unique items. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The ambiance was warm yet upscale. Great birthday dinner for sure.

Food and cocktails were excellent!! Even though our table wasn’t ready at the time of our reservation, staff were apologetic and comped a glass of wine and an appetizer for the wait. The atmosphere of this restaurant is very cozy and overall we had a great time! We would definitely come back.

Great spot. Had the Laotian Sushi and Notkitori skewers to start. Both were fantastic but the Laotian Sushi was the most remarkable. Crunchy, toasty rice cubes with fresh fish and spicy sauce. So great!! The Salmon Croquettes were spot on as well. The only misfire was the Pork Chop. The chop was chewy and the sweet apple and spice reduction served over the pork simply overwhelmed the meat. The combination worked better on paper than in reality. Will go again just for the Laotian Sushi!

Hopping vibe here at Forgione.
Aged Tuna Crudo starter special very good.
Halibut on cauliflower purée absolutely excellent.
Lamb Roundhouse with lamb neck croquettes soooo unique.
Highly recommend.

Excellent restaurant with a good atmosphere to go with it. Service was great, wine selection was excellent, I can see what people rave about this place. I highly recommend trying “The Egg” when you see it on the menu, don’t ask, just get it. Fun experience! Great place for a nice celebration, they definitely do the work to take care of you.

Although we didn’t have a reservation, the staff quickly seated us despite the crowd. Our server was friendly, professional, and attentive, enhancing the dining experience. The standout dish was the Buffalo Chicken Dumplings. The salmon was well-cooked, and the steak was tender. Overall, it was a good meal with excellent service.

The Odeon - Nice French bistro, lovely place near our hotel and on the way to One World. Lovely lunch menu, but it all looked good. Food served hot and timely manner. We didn’t have reservations but was seated even though they were full.
Could do with some gentle music playing in the background.

Overall loved this place. Loud, busy restaurant with great service and good food. Everything we ordered was very good: tartare, quiche, salad and omelet, but cinnamon donuts were our favorite!!! I would order all of it again but the 5 is because of the overall vibe of the restaurant. I can’t explain why exactly but it was just a great place to have brunch. Our server, I think her name was Macey but could be wrong, was great, attentive, friendly, funny and helpful. Overall highly recommend and I want to return to try the grilled cheese.

I LOVE The Odeon, been coming here for decades and it's a reliable as top end French Bistro can be.. The roast chicken is fantastic, so is the duck breast. I know this is really hard to believe but the frisee salad is phenomenal.
Besides that the atmosphere is fun and the bar is great. The only thing is that it gets packed all the time so make a reservation.

Classy spot and the food was top class. We started with calamari which were excellent. We then had the Yellow Fin Tuna burger/sandwich! and the Lobster Roll. Both were delicious! The service was also spot on. No rushing between courses which allowed us to enjoy the atmosphere and savour the food. We sat inside as it was very hot. They do have a small outside seating area but we were glad to be inside as you got the full impact of the restaurant! If you are looking for a taste of New York in classy comfort then definitely try The Odeon!👍

I went to this restaurant with my family of eight without a reservation and they were so accommodating and patient with all of us the food was really good. Definitely recommend the garlic bread With wings and the service was so great our server Miguel took really good care of us and make sure that we had everything we needed and checked up on us as well! My drink was really good and the bill was not so bad for 8 people

Excellent restaurant with great food, atmosphere, and prices. For just $10, I enjoyed a juicy, tender burger made from the finest beef and a craft beer. The experience was enhanced by porcelain plates, a wooden table, cozy sofas, and the attentive service of a pleasant waiter.

Returned for lunch after a long absence. Had the steak sandwich and Jerk Chicken Wings along with a Greenport beer. The guys I went with had a spicy chicken sandwich and a burger. The burgers and sandwiches come bare so we ordered a side of cheese fries to share. We all agreed that the wings and fries were fantastic and the sandwiches & burgers were great. Caught up with a little Euro cup while we ate. Very positive experience.

Came here and sat outside. They have happy hour specials from 3-6 from Tuesday to Friday. We started off with cocktails which were a good amount of sweet and refreshing. We ordered brussel sprouts, wings, and mac and cheese to share. I also got the fried chicken sandwich and we got chocolate chip cookies with the bill. The meal was good and the service was prompt.

An amazing old-school restaurant. Not everything is perfect with the food, but it’s worth coming here for the service. I haven’t experienced anything like this in a long time. They really put in a lot of effort. I wish for more satisfied and well-fed customers. I will definitely return!

I like the environment, service and food. I like the lobster head-on shrimp pasta, signature egg york ravioli with black truffle, salmon entree with mushrooms and onion sides.
Nice desert. Chocolate soufflé is good. A little sweet for me. Best pistachio gelato I have ever had including in Rome and Florence.

Exceptional Italian food and excellent service. Highly recommend if you enjoy Italian cuisine with some great collections of wine. The vodka pasta is the best I have tried ( it’s a little spicy). The sorbet was very refreshing.

Scalini Fedeli was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in ages. The service is outstanding & welcoming. The food is also fantastic. It is a great value for a pre-fixed menu and you will leave very full and happy. Great for special events or romantic date nights. We spent several hours there and did not feel rushed through the dining experience at all. I highly recommend the egg soft yolk raviolo with truffle and the lamp chops. They were extremely accommodating, proactive with service and included complimentary wine to celebrate the special occasion. Looking forward to coming back!

Very good food and service. 11 years after our last visit to NYC, we booked again a table in this excellent restaurant. The whole visit was at least as good as 11 years ago with excellent food quality and very good service.
For sure a place to go when in NYC and looking for a good Italian restaurant! We will again book a table once we are back next time.

It is very dark in here. So dark, you need the candle to read the menu
Hamachi crudo was great. Shrimp tacos were delicious. Tater tots were excellent. Skip the pumpkin risotto - it wasn’t cooked through and lacked salt/umami. DEFinitely order the Kit Kat
Had a bottle of Sancerre - it was fine.

Celebrated two of my besties birthdays here for brunch and it was the perfect spot for a cozy catch up. The waitress even surprised us with their signature Kit Kat cake and two candles! The food was yummy and the menu offers a great variety making it easy to accommodate different cravings. The decor and vibe made it feel intimate. The waitress was even sweet enough to show us the third floor which they offer for private parties. Had heard a lot of great things about this spot and happy I finally checked it out. Will definitely be back.

Clearly the ambience is incredible, not too dimly lit and just gorgeous spot for a date or anniversary. Food is pretty good as well. Got the pumpkin risotto and seafood paella which were both very good. Truffle fries were fine. Chocolate lava cake was tiny and not worth it for the price. Cocktails were good. The only thing lacking at this place was the service. Was uncoordinated and seemed lacking in experience. We weren't offered refills on our sodas, seemed weird that you would have to ask. Overall I would definitely come back I just wish the service was a little more attentive.

Came after the half marathon, loved their brunch! I was so excited because they use hanger steak which is such a rarity! I LOVE hanger steak so it’s an instant pick for me. Three out of the four of us had it while my friend opted for French toast which looked superb! Sadly I don’t like sweet food but she said it was delicious. Will be back after the next half marathon!

The sushi is very good and the service is fast and friendly. It is packed inside. The other dishes like chicken and white rice are also good. The sushi rolls and miso soup are very good and better than nearby places especially for the price. The rolls are better than Whole Foods and about the same price.

Very good lunch specials for the price. Place gets busy during this time, noticed that a lot of take out orders were slamming the 3 sushi chefs but they seemed to be handling it we. Still got my lunch special, 3 Maki rolls, relatively quick. Very tasty and satisfying.

Went to Akimoto Sushi with 4 friends and the 5 of us could barely fit into the restuarant. It is scarce on space, almost claustrophobic, so don't plan on staying too long. The food was pretty good. We got the lunch Salmon and Chicken Teriyaki bento boxes, crab salad, spicy crunchy shrimp rolls, tuna sushi, miso soup, salad, and green tea. 🍣 The establishment seems to be family owned as the waiters were two young boys, both between the ages of 11-15. We paid about $80 to feed 5 people which is a bargain in my book. All in all, it's a no frill Sushi spot. The food is good, the portions are decent and the prices are extremely affordable. Do not expect stellar service but do expect to leave quite satiated with change to spare.
Tujuana Smithen - 6 years ago
This is surprisingly affordable and fresh sushi. I should say we ordered vegan dishes for all eight of us, so I cannot comment on the sashimi or other sushi that there are other mixed reviews on. We enjoy the miso, avocado cucumber and sweet potato tempura rolls. The food was delivered quickly too! If you have a big family to feed and want to have sushi, this is a great option for vegans/vegetarians.

Dinner time is sushi time for me so next I tried this sushi place on church st. In Manhattan and found this ordinary place has some extraordinary creations on their menu which was yum! Decor and ambiance of this place does not impress you but my order made up for everything else. Good food👍, must try if you are on a budget in NYC!!

I received amazing customer service, very friendly courteous staff. The food I ordered was delicious. Definitely a new go to spot when I'm working in the area.
Gina V - 3 months ago
Good food but a bit overpriced for the portion. I had their lunch "Feast", and since I am vegetarian, instead of a chicken choice, I asked for two veggies (mushroom bhaji and sarson ka saag). When the waitress asked if I wanted rice or naan or both, I chose only rice, which I came to regret, as the portions were quite small, and I was still hungry after wiping clean the entire plate. There was a good lunch crowd, all the seats were taken, and an older gentleman vacated a bar stool next to the serving counter. He sat on the other bar stool to work on his laptop. Later he asked me how I liked my food - I realized he was the owner of the restaurant. Seeing his turban, I asked him if he was Sikh? Yes he was - then he must be a vegetarian too (no wonder the veggie dishes tasted so good!); and also like me, a meat-cooking vegetarian :-). All in all, I liked the food, but wished for a better portion.

Overpriced and underbaked and totally disappointing.
Bagel with cream cheese, dry bagel, and small coffee for $13??
Bagels were so chewy my jaw was hurting after eating.
If you order cream cheese you can expect about a tablespoon - quite the meager ration.
This place is quite obviously all about the money and not the quality. Plenty of better bagel shops out there. Avoid this one.

A lot of waiting time, but that was totally worth it. Some of the best bagels i’ve had in NYC, with very generous fillings too. Excellent

The food was good and it was relatively quick. Price to taste to worth it ratio was not high but it was worth it.
The food was pretty good. Got the bagel and coffee which was pretty good.
The washrooms were mediocre but then again it’s in the busy area of NYC
Service there is hit or miss. When I went up for my first bagel I was met with staff who just wanted me to order. Unsure of the menu, I asked what was good and some options and the reply was to “just get the original” just a little more cold service.
Can’t complain about the atmosphere. The window front of the store was nice and had let in a good amount of sunlight as well as seeing outward.

I have been on a mission to find the best bagels in the city. I saw this place had good bagel reviews but frankly I have had better.
What I look for in a bagel is to be fresh, warm, doughy it did not meet up to my standard, (which I will say are high). Secondly, I had ordered a breakfast sandwich off the menu and requested turkey bacon. when I got back to my office after taking a bite, I realized it was NOT turkey bacon but pork. I returned to Zuckers and they were very accommodating to correct the issue, they offered to remake it with turkey bacon, I declined and just ordered a bagel with cream cheese instead and they did not charge me for my order. This should be a lesson to other businesses, it's okay if someone makes a mistake as long as you correct it and make sure the customer leaves satisfied.
