My friend and I stumbled upon this place on a Sunday evening while walking from SoHo to Chinatown, and it felt like discovering a hidden gem. The lush greenery and vibrant atmosphere gave us serious Miami vibes, a refreshing contrast to the sweltering heat of NYC right now. We were impressed by the quality and generous portions of the food and drinks. Speaking of drinks, they were excellent too! Frozen watermelon margarita is a MUST!
All food that we had is soo yumm! Beautiful and well decorated.
- East Coast Oyster
- Steamed Mussels
- Maine Lobster Roll
- Smashed Avocado
However, the service was a bit slow. While our server was friendly, it took us more than 15 minutes to order our second round of drinks, which was a tad frustrating. Understandably, they seemed understaffed given how busy it was.
Overall, despite the minor wait, we loved the ambiance and the delicious offerings here. Definitely worth a visit. Will be back!!

Cute spot, Chris provided amazing service!! It was much appreciated. Watermelon drink was good and our food (lobster Cobb, burrata toast, oysters) was delicious. Towards closing there were a few extra critters 🐀 running around so it was def time to go but otherwise, a great night out.

Really beautiful place, has a tropical feel to it. The service was good but did decline towards the end when it started getting a bit more busier. The food was delicious, minus the shrimp pasta it was a bit on the bland side. But everything else was so great. The menu is very minimal, which was perfect for us because we got to basically try almost everything in the menu. The drinks really were the highlight! The drinks were refreshing and just right for a nice summer day. Would definitely be back again.

10/10 for this fabulous plant oasis. I would come just to sit with the plants.
Drinks were delicious and appetizers were fresh and light.

Came here on an early Friday evening with no reservations. Hostess sat us quickly. Within an hour the restaurant was packed. It looked like a nice ambience for date night. We just ordered a few apps. The glass noodles had lots of flavor. Waitress was nice and friendly.

Such a fun romantic place to go for a date night!
Good:
- The lobster noodles were amazing! I was blown away since the noodles were so tasty and chewy and also the sauce had so much flavor The lobster meat was tender and savory
- The dessert was so good the donuts were flakey and chewy and adding on the condensed milk was nice
- Very solid ambiance, dimly lit and private booths to eat
Bad:
- The place is pretty expensive!
- Took a long time to flag down waiters and get them to take our orders - nice servers though
Overall enjoyed the experience here and would come again! I liked he decorations mostly and the way it crafted an experience

We had an absolutely amazing time at Macao. Our bartender Dino was exceptional and went above and beyond to enhance our experience. He not only crafted delicious drinks but also took the time to explain every detail.
If you visit, make sure to try the dumplings—they are an absolute must! The combination of flavors and textures was simply outstanding. We left Macao with great memories and will be back for sure!

Celebrated our 1year anniversary. The drinks, appetizers and entrees were amazing. Each plate they brought out was just leaving us speechless.
The ambience was relaxing.
Recommend this restaurant, it will not dissapoint🫶🏽

Came for a night cap. The mezcal based cocktail was great. The atmosphere is sexy and makes you want to sway your body and just feel the good energy. There were these cute chairs on the wall so we sat there and sipped on our beautiful drinks!

Brunch here was amazing but please be warned, the portions are massive! You can probably share a plate with who ever you are eating with. Also, this place normally has a line outside. It is very popular. Be prepared to wait outside or make reservations. The fried chicken is soooo good!!! You must try the sangria flight too 🙂

This place is an extremely popular spot for brunch, and it's easy to see why! The food is delicious, but be prepared: reservations are recommended since it can get busy. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations on weekends, so expect long queues outside during those days. Plan your visit with this in mind to avoid waiting too long.
The menu features all the usual American breakfast and brunch favorites. One standout dish is the pancakes—they’re thicker than usual and incredibly fluffy, making them a must-try! Our guests were trying American breakfast food for the first time, and they absolutely loved it.
If you're a coffee lover, be aware that they only serve drip coffee, with no espresso or other coffee varieties available. It’s good to know before you go!
Seating options include both indoor and outdoor areas, each with separate queues. The indoor seating area is medium-sized, but due to its popularity, it can get crowded and noisy. While it’s not a dealbreaker, it’s something to keep in mind.
Overall, this brunch spot is definitely worth a visit, just remember to plan ahead!

Bubby’s was by far our favorite breakfast while in New York.
Reservations are highly recommended, as the restaurant packed full of people and pancakes.
Speaking of pancakes, the James Beard pancakes are amazing. Fluffy and flavorful, these are truly the star of the restaurant.
I opted for the pancake flight so as to try multiple toppings and was not disappointed. All three toppings were wonderful, with the Nutella and berry topping being my favorite.
Coffee here is very good and the servers are quick on refills. The coffee mugs are really nice and with art designed by the owner. Mugs are available for purchase, and we got two as souvenirs.
This is somewhere I’ll always think fondly of while sipping coffee from my Bubby’s mug.

WOW this is a MUST For all pancake lovers!
We went here twice while staying in NYC for 1.5 weeks. The pancakes are out of this world, and the toppings were just amazing. We bought a pancake kit and I wish we had bought more on our way home. Also, do not hesitate to order the flaky buttermilk biscuits! They are in a league of their own.
Dario J - a month ago
Reliably good comfort food especially the biscuits. The line is always long but moves rather quickly in my opinion. The vibe is lively but can be a bit noisy, understandably so. It’s an institution for a reason. Staff is always nice and patient.

I happened to be in the neighborhood so decided to give this a place a try. Two stories with a nice rustic vibe. My starter - pork belly on a gnocchi custard was excellent while my pasta - a pappardelle with wild boar was decent. I would save space for their ricotta cheesecake though - a great finish. I did find prices a bit on the high side compared to similar restaurants - the most obvious being their cocktail menu. Basic cocktails of the type here should not run above $20. Needless to say, I skipped the cocktail.

We were in the Canal area of Tribeca during a rainy night and saw Pepolina close to a subway entrance. We decided to try the restaurant and are glad we did. The room was warm & inviting and the service was very good. We tried the spaghetti chitarra, pesto linguini (special) and tagliatelle ai funghi porchini. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the flavors were very nice. For dessert we had the tiramisu which was one of the better ones I have had recently with the liquor being clearly prominent. Pepolina is recommended for better quality home style pasta at a good value and many vegetarian choices.

Was here for a group dinner. The pasta was amazing and had the Branzino which was also very good. I tried the Tuna and we found it just ok and a bit dry. The flourless chocolate cake was an excellent desert choice. Overall we enjoyed the meal and had very good service.

Came here with my team for a team dinner. It feels really intimate and dimly lit inside.
Good:
- Tasty free bread
- Burrata was very good, good ratio of cheese to tomato
- Eggplant parm was so good - it was thinly sliced and easy to eat
- The ragu was tasty - the pasta noodles had a lot of texture and good flavor
- Portions are good, super full
- Service was good - nice waiters
Bad:
- Nothing too crazy in terms of blowing my mind
Overall this place was nice for getting my team created!
Jenny Xu - 2 weeks ago
Very average Italian food. The staff was good and really no other issues, but the pastas were disappointing and not very authentic Tuscan cuisine. Not bad, not great. The apps were, however, quite good and the wine selection was also pretty good.

My Walker's vibes are a combination of Cheers/Westtown Saloon. I love that. My love and I are foodies and love popping cherries, especially together. We were coming from the museum Intern ( interactive). Our date nights consist of doing one thing out of the evening that's new. Whether to one of us or collective. So we chose Walker's. It wasn't too late into the evening, and customers were lightly placed about inside the bar area. We sat in the dining behind the wall of the bar. Table for two right next to the window. Excuse us, we didn't take pics of the food. Our burgers and fries, mmhhm.. good. Love and order an appetizer a piece. We try something new! I knew what it was. He did not, but I never ate it. Why not pop this cherry together. Potato latkes, usually potato pancakes and raw salmon with a side of sour cream. 😁 I like it. I would rather have small slices of salmon. It was still good to me. The outdoor seating looked to be bustling it was a beautiful day.

I had their grilled asparagus with shaved Parmesan and toasted shaved pecans which was spectacular! It's such a simple dish but their preparation and ingredients were absolutely top notch. The different textures came together remarkably well.
Their burger was wonderful too. It was perfectly seasoned, the American cheese was perfectly melted and slightly creamy just like I like it and the bun was super fresh and pillowy. The meat was hot with just the right amount of decadence but it still had the simplicity of what seemed to be a simple salt and pepper seasoning. I asked for medium well and it was cooked to perfection.
The atmosphere here was relaxed with a bit of rustic charm and the service was attentive and friendly. Their outside area seemed to be really popular during my Sunday afternoon visit but I was quite happy eating inside. This place is a gem and I look forward to visiting again when I'm in the area.
I took a picture after my first few bites of the asparagus dish so it might have ruined the art of the presentation but it was so good I wanted to keep a visual memory of it.

Great food and service; it is always our first choice when spending a fun day in lower Manhattan. My older son swears the burger is the best in NY and my younger son loves the steak. Salads and apps are my favorite, and of course the mac and cheese is loved by all!

Blackened red snapper on pumpernickel is a good choice, not much spice could use a bit more. Turkey sandwich is also good, plenty of turkey on toast. Wings are OK, and the pita hamburger is an also ok. All in all the blackened snapper was the best choice.

The smoked salmon sandwich was perfect for a hot summer day. Split the wings and they were perfectly crisp.
Thankful for fast seating even on a busy Tuesday afternoon rush. Even my friend who had some dietary restrictions they were very attentive and kind to her charcuterie option.

Had a really nice date here. I hadn’t been but it seemed to have nice low lighting and chill vibes so I knew I’d be able to score a kiss at the bar, a great think to do in New York City. I picked this bar with confidence and pretended I’d been before. And I heard ( which was true) they play movies on a projector, so I was confident I could comment on that if the conversation lulled. Bar tender was great a nice young lady

This place is the last remaining stronghold of old Tribeca. The music is incredible, you are transported back to the glory days of 80s Manhattan and yet it all feels fresh. If you’re looking for great music and great drinks and a sense of purpose, this is the only place to go to around here. Also they show old movies on their projector and it’s very fun.

Was early for work by about an hour so I decided to stop here and load up on caffeine. The place itself is well taken care of and they care about TV the customers as you can see from the pictures of the signs. The manager I was told has hobby of collecting coffee mugs but unfortunately they are not for sale. The coffee is good and fresh especially in the morning. Was able to charge my phone without an issue and they do ask for proof of vaccinations before dining in which reasonable because it is a private business. Would recommend and come back here again

I had the most delightful experience at Lupe’s! The restaurant’s cozy decor and light, breezy atmosphere create a welcoming escape in the heart of NYC. Salvator, my server, offered spot-on recommendations, guiding me to try the chile rellenos—which were absolutely to die for! The house-made guacamole and salsa were incredibly fresh, and I finished the meal with a heavenly flan. Salvator was not only knowledgeable but also wonderfully warm, making me feel like we were old friends catching up. Lupe’s long-standing presence in the city shines through in every detail. I can’t recommend this gem enough!

Lupe’s has been around forever —35 years-plus— which is the mark of quality in NYC. I eat here every chance I get and it’s one of the rare Mexican restaurants in the city that can squash my snobby Californian friends’ disregard for east coast Mexican food. All of the comida on the menu is legit and the drinks are great too. Don’t sleep on this place if you’re after some awesome Mexican fare.

I've been eating at Lupe's since I was a kid and it's consistently amazing. Their burritos are in my Top 3 favorite dishes in the city and I've taken countless friends, from NYC and out of town, to eat here; every single one of them has been thoroughly impressed and now immediately suggests Lupe's when we hang out. Their fresh juices are also incredible, as well as their plantains and homemade chips and salsa. I can't say I've tried a lot of their menu as I mostly stick to burritos and brunch dishes (they're too good to ever experiment with other things!) but my friends have also really enjoyed the enchiladas and nachos. Oh, and they're very vegan friendly and decently gluten-free friendly!
