4 Star Rating My friend and I stumbled upon this place on a Sunday evening while walking from SoHo to Chinatown, and it felt like discovering a hidden gem. The lush greenery and vibrant atmosphere gave us serious Miami vibes, a refreshing contrast to the sweltering heat of NYC right now. We were impressed by the quality and generous portions of the food and drinks. Speaking of drinks, they were excellent too! Frozen watermelon margarita is a MUST! All food that we had is soo yumm! Beautiful and well decorated. - East Coast Oyster - Steamed Mussels - Maine Lobster Roll - Smashed Avocado However, the service was a bit slow. While our server was friendly, it took us more than 15 minutes to order our second round of drinks, which was a tad frustrating. Understandably, they seemed understaffed given how busy it was. Overall, despite the minor wait, we loved the ambiance and the delicious offerings here. Definitely worth a visit. Will be back!!

5 Star Rating Really beautiful place, has a tropical feel to it. The service was good but did decline towards the end when it started getting a bit more busier. The food was delicious, minus the shrimp pasta it was a bit on the bland side. But everything else was so great. The menu is very minimal, which was perfect for us because we got to basically try almost everything in the menu. The drinks really were the highlight! The drinks were refreshing and just right for a nice summer day. Would definitely be back again.

5 Star Rating My new favorite place in Soho! From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a serene beach retreat. The ambiance, decor, and overall vibes are amazing. Food was okay, the drinks were a definite highlight. We went on a Tuesday evening and it wasn't overly crowded, which made it even better. I had a lot of fun and I can't wait to visit again.

5 Star Rating Interesting ambience (photos attached) and great service. The music is 80s and 90s throwback and fun. The food is great, must try the whole fried fish, which they were expertly fillet for you at the table, and the ribs. It’s in Tribeca and so a little cramped and kinda pricey. But still, I would definitely go there again.

5 Star Rating Came here on an early Friday evening with no reservations. Hostess sat us quickly. Within an hour the restaurant was packed. It looked like a nice ambience for date night. We just ordered a few apps. The glass noodles had lots of flavor. Waitress was nice and friendly.

5 Star Rating Such a fun romantic place to go for a date night! Good: - The lobster noodles were amazing! I was blown away since the noodles were so tasty and chewy and also the sauce had so much flavor The lobster meat was tender and savory - The dessert was so good the donuts were flakey and chewy and adding on the condensed milk was nice - Very solid ambiance, dimly lit and private booths to eat Bad: - The place is pretty expensive! - Took a long time to flag down waiters and get them to take our orders - nice servers though Overall enjoyed the experience here and would come again! I liked he decorations mostly and the way it crafted an experience

3 Star Rating For drinks, I got the mah-jong. Not a big fan of it, very strong and sour? We shared the char siu BBQ baby back ribs, the ants climbing the tree, and the african chicken. I like the back ribs; the meat was very soft and chewy. I do wish there’s another sauce accompanying it and eating it was kind of messy. The ants climbing the tree was our favorite. I enjoy the glass noodles a lot although I wish the pork wasn’t minced. Harder to eat. Not a huge fan of the african chicken. Even though there’s sauce ontop of it, when I actually cut into and eat the chicken meat itself, it was really dry and bland. Hard to chew and dry. The salad around it was alright but it didn’t really add to the meal. We got the maladasas, fried donuts, and that was good. Not super memorable dining experience but I have to say the interior is very well decorated. It looks stunning.

5 Star Rating Bubby’s exceeded my expectations! I am so glad we made the trip downtown to try some of their amazing pancakes. Due to their popularity we couldn’t get reservations and planned to show up early for the waitlist. We were told it would be a 45 minute wait but in less that 20 minutes we were seated. Our food came quickly which was so impressive with such a crowded restaurant. Let me tell you, those pancakes were heavenly ! Some of the best I have ever add. Fresh cream and fruit, atop fluffy buttery pancakes. Perfection ! Another star was the avocado toast. A nice balance to all the sweetness. I can’t wait to come back again for breakfast . Shout out to the amazing staff here for handling this business so well.

5 Star Rating We visited for a weekend brunch. Be prepared for a bit of a wait since they don’t take reservations for weekend brunch. We arrived at 10am on a Saturday and only waited about 20 minutes, not bad for such a popular place! The atmosphere was bustling and energetic and the service was fantastic. The staff made sure we were well taken care of, with constant water and coffee refills, and they were super attentive despite how busy it was. Portions here are huge, definitely come hungry! I ordered the Abe Lincoln mainly because I was excited to try the grits, but they were a letdown. Thankfully, the rest of the dish was great, so it wasn’t a total disappointment. The pancakes with 3 toppings called pancake flight was great. Overall, it’s a great spot for a hearty brunch with friendly service, even if not every dish was a hit. I’d come back just for the pancakes and the lively vibe!

5 Star Rating Just the thought of bubby’s makes me already happy! Every year I eat here like 4 times on my vacation. We came here mostly for dinner. It’s not as crowded when you go there for breakfast or lunch and you don’t have to stand in a line outside! And the food is just as good like in day time. ;) The staff is so kind and the service is very fast, so you don’t have to wait long if your starving. The Fried chicken pancakes is my all time favorite! I can still dream about these. The burgers are delicious. You can get your burger cooked however you want and it’s still so juicy. If you go there you must try their pies and lemonade! It’s a one in a life time try. Bubby’s you amaze me! See you next year.

5 Star Rating Recommended by a friend before we arrived and didn’t disappoint. Busy when we arrived but got a seat within 20 minutes and then service was rapid (food arrived within 5 minutes of sitting down) Pancakes were tasty and filling, coffee was strong and mimosas were delicious. Quite expensive for the meal at $120 including tip, more than I would have liked to have paid, but worth it for the experience once.

4 Star Rating The restaurant is definitely super hyped, as you can tell from the long line outside. A reservation is absolutely necessary, as it significantly cuts down your waiting time to just 10–15 minutes. Without one, be prepared to stand in line for quite a while, as the place is incredibly busy. Inside, it’s packed and bustling with energy, which adds to the vibrant atmosphere but can feel overwhelming if you prefer quieter dining experiences. For the Food you just wait 2-5min of u Are sitting on your table. The pancakes are good—fluffy and served with a generous portion of fresh fruit—but they’re not extraordinary or particularly unique. It’s clear that the hype has elevated expectations, which the food doesn’t entirely meet. While the quality is solid, the pancakes don’t offer anything groundbreaking in flavor or presentation. Three pancakes with a nice serving of fruit come in at $26, which feels a bit steep for what you’re getting. However, I highly recommend trying the Buttermilk Balls for $8. These were a standout item—crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and bursting with rich buttermilk flavor. They’re smaller, shareable bites that pack a lot of taste and made a stronger impression than the pancakes. The service was attentive despite how busy it was, which speaks to the professionalism of the staff. The ambiance, while lively, might not be ideal for a leisurely breakfast or brunch if you prefer a more relaxed setting. Overall, it’s a good restaurant with decent food, but it’s not worth the hype if you’re expecting a life-changing dining experience. I’d say it’s worth visiting once, especially for the Buttermilk Balls, but manage your expectations and prepare for the price tag.

4 Star Rating I happened to be in the neighborhood so decided to give this a place a try. Two stories with a nice rustic vibe. My starter - pork belly on a gnocchi custard was excellent while my pasta - a pappardelle with wild boar was decent. I would save space for their ricotta cheesecake though - a great finish. I did find prices a bit on the high side compared to similar restaurants - the most obvious being their cocktail menu. Basic cocktails of the type here should not run above $20. Needless to say, I skipped the cocktail.

5 Star Rating Update #3 (11/10/21): Thank you so much for keeping up the barriers during this season & keeping dining in safe, selling the ASL Starbucks product alongside of the classy holiday goodies, being gender affirming, as well as making me the prettiest holiday drink I've ever seen & with such warmth. I will be in gone for a while, so this is such a sweet treat after many hard days. You are my safe place. Much love & Happy Holidays & Happy New Year! Update #2 (10/25/21): I have been not going to any Starbucks near me lately (due to local law) but this one, in NYC, I adore. For one, they take the safety of their patrons seriously, since they adopt NYC law where you MUST have proof of vaccination against COVID-19 in order to dine in & that they require you where a mask indoors regardless to protect those who are dining in safe unless you are fully vaccinated. That means a lot to the immune compromised like myself. And more over, once again, the Baristas and staff are very friendly & treat you & your order kindly & with detail, even if something goes wrong in the app! You can also trust me since I'm a soy milk guy (due to good ol' lactose intolerance). This is the only Starbucks that has earned my trust solidly after a long absence & look around. Thank you everyone! Update #1 (March 2021): Baristas and staff are friendly & patient. Even though you can't dine in at the moment (for obvious reasons), the staff and well-crafted drinks bring me back. :) Original Review: Nice Starbucks. Always get the drinks right. Just don't try to go to the bathroom unless you want to wait for 20 minutes lol. That's a pretty consistent thing.

5 Star Rating Lupe’s is the best Mexican restaurant in SoHo. It was across the street from our hotel, so the location was perfect. Their bar is impressive with the selection of tequilas. It’s the night before my surgery, so alcohol was out of the question. We ordered their tostada salad, Chicken Mole and Chili Colorado. The salad was the perfect starter that we shared. The Chili Colorado is the perfect meal on a cold night. Served over rice, the sauce had just the right amount of spice with tender pieces of beef. Their Mole sauce is outstanding and the chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender. We are definitely planning on returning after my procedure for another delicious meal.

3 Star Rating Review Jan 25, 2025: Pretty average Mexican food for a decent price given its NYC. I eat a lot of Mexican food and usually like everything I eat, I’m not picky. I got the steak burrito, it was just okay. Nothing special, small pieces of steak but cheesy. Chips were not fresh and tasted stale. Unfortunately I had to send my margarita back as it was not mixed well. Very strong not enough triple sec.
