Love this place everything is hot fresh and the service is fast and friendly. I love the burgers. They are very tender and flavorful. I like that they have other options like sushi as well and the prices are affordable great family environment, and fun to hang out even at the bar for a quick bite. Highly recommended.

I got the lunch special cheeseburger, which came with fries. Burger was delicious; perfectly salted, cheese was high quality, grilled onions paired well, and they use the best pickles. Fries were perfectly salted too. Only downside is that it was slow and they still took quite awhile to complete my simple takeout order.

I visited on 10/25/24 it was fairly busy. The atmosphere was very cold when the doors would open, the breeze that enters does not allow you to enjoy the food. The server was extremely slow bringing the drinks, some of my party received their food minutes after each other. Many items that were ordered were forgotten and had to wait a while. The turkey burger was very soggy. The French fries were disappointing as they were not crinkled cut as pictured in many reviews. They were. Small hand cut fries over cooked and greasy. The meal was not as enjoyable as I would like. (French fries not pictured as they came extremely late to the table)

Like the vibe and customer service was excellent. The food was well priced for the area and it was decent. We had the Buffalo chicken sandwich and it was huge. We also had a milkshake and it was delicious. The sushi was ok. I like the versatility of the menu, and the two happy hour options!!

I have come here many times over the years and it is consistently good. And there is something for everyone, whether you want a veggie burger, a beef burger, a fish burger, some other type of burger, or even sushi or a tasty sandwich. Also, they have a nice happy hour deal, with cheap drinks and sliders if that’s your thing. The vegetarian options are decent, and the veggie burger is excellent as well as the sweet potato fries. For the burger aficionado (of whatever variety) this should be a go-to spot in the neighborhood. Also, the server was noticeably friendly.

Without a doubt, the best bagel I've tried in the city.
Great quality smoked fish on a freshly baked bagel. The ambiance is an old style deli. It's cramped inside, especially over the weekend, but the staff is great, very fast and somehow it all runs smoothly.
Cash only!!! I didn't read the sign and didn't have any cash. The owner at the cash register was kind enough to keep my order on the side so that I could go withdraw some cash.

Truly the sturgeon KING! Great bagels and yummy latkes. We had the honor of sitting at the ledge! Can’t go wrong.

A true New York City institution, this establishment has been in business for over a century, offering a taste of history and culinary legacy. The smoked fish here is unparalleled—the finest I’ve ever encountered. The perfect balance of smokiness and saltiness, paired with high-quality salmon and sturgeon, creates a flavor profile that is nothing short of exceptional. When combined with their toasted bagels, the experience becomes an embodiment of tradition and craftsmanship. In my opinion, this is the most iconic food destination in New York City.

Divinity!!!
10/10 for the white fish salad! Tasty, plentiful, light on the mayo, heavy on the fish!! Oh and no bones!! Immaculate
The BLC (bagel lox cream) divine as well! So generous with portions, at this point you can’t go anywhere without a BLC costing around 20 buckaroonies at least here they give you your moneys worth with a hearty portion of lox!
Latkas:
Look I know their latkas is a top seller for them. I’m bias towers skinny crunchy lats so these are not for me.
Side note:
Do not be intimidated by the line. There was a huge line and it moved so quickly. Highly recommend!!

Renowned NYC deli institution known for the smoked fish. We bought home everything bagels along with Smoked lox, Pastrami salmon, olives, pickles, and scallion cream cheese. The salmon were an absolute delight! The bagels had a shiny crust and a perfectly soft and chewy interior. The black and white NYC cookies were on point: the cookie itself was slightly cakey and moist, and the tangy vanilla side contrasted really well with the slightly sweet chocolate side (but could’ve been bit creamier/fudgier). The staff were not the most welcoming, and cash is required. Seating space is available but is limited.

The food was phenomenal! Especially the appetizer! We got babaghanoush with 2 cigars and 2 pitas, and it was mind blowing. The seasoning of the babaghanoush was just perfect. The beef cigars and pitas were also extremely delicious. The outside of the cigars were almost like pastry, a little flaky and mildly crispy. The pita bread was simply excellent. It was freshly baked and steaming hot. The burger was also very delicious, but a bit salty to my taste. The classic rib-eye steak was also well cooked. The meat was very tender and juicy. The grilled vegetables were okay. Good thing the fries were great, too! The service was also very nice. Very laid back and relaxing. Overall, it was a great experience. Can’t wait to come back again!!

Delicious food, and my steak was cooked perfectly! However, our friends order was wrong, and by the time we all finished our food, she then got her correct order and had to eat alone. It was disappointing. Other than that it was a nice dining experience

I was pretty disappointed with this place. While some of the food was ok other parts of the meal where really not great. With all these great restaurants even kosher available within the city I probably would now not come back here.
I will say I don't go to kosher restaurants too often but parents where in town and they only eat kosher so we hit up different spots. I was super excited for this place with it's positive comments.
So what was good: The hummos, pita, turkey shnitzal and fries.
So what was bad: short rib, sweet potato, green beans (cold), chicken shish.
The service here was alright. When asking what the best sellers where our waiter just read off the entire menu, not really helping with the decision making.
The restaurant it's self is a bit boring inside with not much character I'm sorry to say. It needs a bit of life added back in. Plus the TV's showing whatever was on didn't enhance my expirience, personally I think it took away from it. But each to there own on this one.
All in all some of the food was ok but there are to many better options that I just can't give this place more stars.

Love this place! Service is always fast and nice our waiter was amazing and very helpful. Even with a busy packed restaurant the service was great. The food is family style dishes so they are very big but, everything is so good to share! The vodka sauce was amazing will definitely be back.

First time here and I absolutely loved the place the minute I walked in, staff were so super friendly. Our waiter was amazing I believe his name was kelvin very helpful and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. The portions are enough for you to take home and eat the next day. I had a great birthday here! 🥳

Eventhough my order was a last minute family request on one of the busiest holidays, Valentine's Day. Stephanie the manager, was FANTASTIC, patient and kind. She worked with me to determine a menu for a party of 9 people that was just DELICIOUS. The delivery driver arrived 15 minutes before the scheduled delivery time who was very kind and gently placed the huge order inside my home on the decorative holiday table. Then again family and we're not surprised due to my family being customers for the past 10+ years. Besides the scrumptious food the staff is completely and utterly AMAZING. We love and thank you CARMINES for being part of our extended family ♥️ ♥️
P.S. In the attached photo the desserts were not placed on the table at this moment but take my word for it they were DIVINE!!!

Went here to carb load before running the NYC marathon and it was great! We had to wait a little for our table to be ready but not long. The server was very friendly and attentive, I wish I remembered his name! The pasta was perfectly cooked al Dante, the sauce was flavourful, and it was even more delicious with the burrata on top! I love the variety of bread they give you but the focaccia was especially tasty! Loved my strawberry lemonade drink I got and the tiramisu was perfect!! Had the leftovers in the bathtub post marathon 😂 and they give you a nice reusable tote to take them home in!

I recommend making reservations if you’re going during weekends and during special occasions. Came here during the marathon weekend and it was packed! Otherwise, this location tends to have openings compared to Times Square.
Super big portions (family style) and good food. I highly recommend the antipasti selection. Can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu.

A French bistro on the UWS. We had a great time there for dinner tonight. Maria was a wonderful server. She made us feel welcomed from the moment we sat down. The food was delicious - the drinks and wine too - and the service was the best.

Great lunch for restaurant week. Varied menu and delicious choices. Escargots en croute were good, a little oily. The brunch burger was very good and large. The service was 10/10, especially server Darwin. Very friendly and knowledgeable about menu. Overall a good experience and cozy, pretty restaurant. I would certainly return with family and friends.

Food was Okay but when I ordered the lunch “special” for 17 bucks, I expected more than 4 very small pieces of meat 4 mediocre pieces of broccoli. It seems We’re being charged for their very high rent but still leaving there very hungry. The lunch special isn’t very special, it’s less than an appetizers worth of food and doesn’t come with anything that a typical special would come with. No egg roll, no pork fried rice, no drink….but you are asked to leave a review for a free egg roll.

Love eating here. Whether it’s getting their lunch special (with miso soup), to getting their sushi (which is currently at 30%off). They even have complementary tea. Whenever I work in the area, Ollies is at the top of my list of places to have lunch at. Wonderful portions, very tasty, and great service. Highly recommend!

A delicious meal with the family! The place is pretty small but you can have a great meal with a large party (just make sure you make a reservation). It is cash only but well worth having the paper money on me. Everything I tried was really good. I recommend the vermicelli clam pasta dish. That was my favorite. The lasagna tasted like my grandma made it. And the prosciutto pizza was a memorable one. We also had a great Pinot Rose wine that paired well with the dishes. The owner and staff were around and made my family feel very welcomed. I'll be returning. I can eat that clam vermicelli pasta everyday 😋.

Very good food! It’s definitely over a 4 but not a 4.7.
The pizza and Pasta were delicious but the place itself needs a little TLC as it was run down and not the cleanest.

Fresh homemade pasta and traditional Italian food served in a casual, cozy ambience. Popular neighborhood Italian restaurant on the Upper West Side that is known for its warm and casual atmosphere. Offering a variety of traditional Italian dishes, chicken Parmesan is a favorite. They don’t take reservations and it’s cash only always crowded, the food is worth the wait.

Phenomenal, 10/10. My brother (a local) took us (Bostonians) here and we absolutely loved the food! The apple cake and Italian cheesecake were the best desserts.

We were in New York for four nights. We ate here our first night and celebrated a birthday there tonight, our last night. The food and service were so good both times. So much care goes into the menu and preparation. The pistachio gelato is not to be missed, but really nothing we tried was bad. If you are staying around the UWS this is worth a visit. Note that they only take cash but have an ATM onsite.

I went here for a lunch with coworkers and it was absolutely delicious. The service was cordial, and attentive. I drink a lot of water and they noticed and filled me up twice, bless them. The atmosphere was casual but not too casual. Two of us were vegetarian and we managed to find good options on the menu easily. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but because of the cold weather we chose to sit indoors. The brick oven is phenomenal. Everything tasted amazing and was served in perfect proportions, perfectly seasoned, at the perfect temperature. I felt like the prices were reasonable. I would wholeheartedly recommend for a casual date night or a work lunch, or for a lunch with friends.

From the start to the end, everything was 10/10. Delicious food, amazing cocktails and good service. Will come here more often. I am Turkish and when I was eating the fresh warm bread I said I’m home…Keep up the good work guys, thank you.

The decor is Turkish and is pleasing, see my photo taken on a pleasant evening when most people were dining outside. I started off with a pleasing (thick homemade) red lentil soup ($8.50), thickened by a little butter. The lamb tagine ($26.50), gluten free, had a flavorful juice/sauce, but the lamb had lost its flavor in the cooking process, it came with rice. All the food was served at the table hot due to an efficient restaurant runner bringing the food over seemingly right after the chef had put them up for pickup by the restaurant runner.

Food here isn’t above and beyond but isn’t bad for the price.
We had a few plates for sharing including the sampler, I mostly liked their labne + cheese filled filo dough along with their fresh baked bread, the issue was that they did not bring enough for the table.
Also had the eggplant baylidi which was flavorful.
Their kofte wrap had no flavor what so ever it does not even taste like kofte. The fries taste like fast food restaurant fries, and the ketchup that came with the fries had way too much sugar in it.
Lentil soup was decent.

Nice little diner at a walking distance from our place and we could get a seat within 5 mins on a Saturday afternoon for 3 of us. Service is typical diner style, quick and effective and our order included a Bloody Mary and a Mimosa, both pretty decent.
I got the Veggie Deluxe Burger ($15) and the first few bites felt really decent, but then the burger patties felt really dry. Food overall felt pretty substandard, including the pancakes we ordered for our little one.
Service was quick though and noise levels were on the average end. Comfortable booth seating, and fairly huge portions. Might visit again!

This fantastic restaurant was recommended to us by a local in a nearby coffee shop. We were the only ones in the restaurant but we had a great time. The papadam that was served before the meal came with three chutneys, the onion was my favorite. For entrees we got the chicken tikka masala and the lamb korai which is a specialty of theirs. Both dishes were extremely flavorful and left us wanting more. The garlic naan that we ordered was the best we have ever had, baked perfectly and seasoned well. Overall we had one of our best meals in New York here and would recommend it to anyone looking for great Indian in the area.

Love this restaurant! My roommate and I started coming here when we first moved to the neighborhood, and now we get it almost every Sunday for dinner. Khan is always so kind and generous, they often throw in an extra samosa or dessert for us. They make an effort to create a positive and memorable dining experience for everyone who comes up, not just the regulars. When you eat here, it feels like you’re part of the family, everyone is so kind and welcoming. Every dish I’ve had has been amazing, there are lots to choose from and they will help give recommendations based on flavors you like! Great sauce to rice ratio and incredibly flavorful. The garlic naan is amazing and so are the samosas.

Love coming to this neighborhood spot that has delicious Indian food! Everything we order here is always good. Some of our faves include the rogan josh, garlic naan, chana saag, and vegetable samosas! Their raita is also really good. The service is great too. Every time we go, they are friendly and attentive. Shout out to Khan for his excellent service last time! We almost always get a little free sweet treat to take home which is just lovely.
