Came as a party of 4 on a Saturday around 11am and waited ~40 min. While there's a wait, the line moves! Some groups get picked off the line if a booth opens up for a larger party - the entire party must be present to be seated. We were escorted upstairs + seated towards the wall. Unfortunately, it was a bit hard to see some performances on the main fl, but there's a TV feed that broadcasts live and half of the time, the servers sing upstairs before moving to the main fl.
As for the food - typical overpriced diner classics, but you're here for the entertainment. They cover a lot of classics from Broadway Musicals, to Disney, to pop culture songs. They also have a tip bucket, so bring some cash if you're feeling charitable!
Overall, a fun time! And the wait wasn't AS long as I thought. No bathrooms while waiting, however you can go to Urban Hawker food hall nearby for emergencies!

We had an incredible experience at this diner! The Mudslide was absolutely divine – rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced. It was like dessert in a glass, and I couldn’t get enough of it. The Rainbow Cake was another standout. Not only was it visually stunning, but the layers were moist and full of flavor. Each bite was a celebration of sweetness and color! And the Chocolate Brownie? Wow. It was warm, fudgy, and paired beautifully with a scoop of ice cream. It’s the kind of dessert that melts in your mouth and makes you feel all warm and cozy inside. The service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I’ll definitely be back for more of their heavenly treats and voices!

The atmosphere and singing servers are 100% why you should come here! The wait outside appeared quite long but was only 30 minutes at most. Our server was kind. The service was not fast at all, but with the entertainment, it didn't seem too bad. The food was not great, but again, that's not really why WE went. If you are going for quick service or good food, this isn't the spot for you. If you're looking for an awesome NY experience and to enjoy the entertainment of incredibly talented individuals, check it out! Very much worth the wait!

Minus the wait which goes by quicker than what it seems or one would think, it was decent. We didn’t know what to expect but we enjoyed it. We went for our anniversary because we wanted to check it out. The people singing were great. It’s a busy place and we had to wait a little for our server time to time but that was okay.

Ellen's stardust diner is a must live experience.
The food is average but let's be honest, you don't go there for the food.
There are actual stars there. The level of the show they display is amazing and something that is worth the price.
I recommend everyone to visit at least once. And don't worry about what to pick to eat, that's not why you are there.

Excellent.
My wife and I love to travel and try new places to eat. She had the Lobster and Crab Cake with Lemon Basil Aioli. I had the Filet Mignon. Both were excellent. The Filet was one of the best I've ever had. The service is exceptional. I highly recommend making plans to have a nice dinner here.

I typically only give reviews when things are excellent... Well, this time, the entire experience exceeded excellent! From the ease of making a reservation to the greeting and atmosphere upon entering Capital Grille to the exit with a sincere thank you from the hosts on our way out the door.
This dining experience was fantastic!
Colton was our server and he had the amazing ability to deliver a fine dining level of service along with a friendly and comfortable delivery that our 6-year old granddaughter felt seen, heard and valued as a guest.
The food, well, it was incredible!
Crab cake, Bone-in filet, lobster mac and cheese, lamb chops, and the flourless chocolate cake. Superb!
Fairly expensive and worth every penny!

This place was recommended for our anniversary dinner and it did not miss. The young lady that took our reservation was great and she took time to decorate our table for dinner.
Our server Ray from NJ was awesome and made sure we were taken care of during our dinner.

I feel super grateful to have the wonderful dinner with Superman!
The lamb was incredibly tender, and the clam chowder was creamy and delicious. We chose a very healthy Spanish dish, and it was absolutely yummy.
Thank you for the memorable experience!
And there is a bar outside of the dinning room. Highly recommend if you prefer fine dinning at the quiet environment.
10/10 rating.

Atmosphere was pretty cool, has another floor with its own bar. Wait time wasn’t bad. The bar tender was really friendly and her son who took over for her was equally friendly. My companion enjoyed her meal however I got the wrong sandwich and the piece of chicken in it wasn’t a good one. I would go again however and retry as this is easy to fix. They can’t see into the chicken piece. Recommended

Delightful way to spend a couple of hours out of the cold. HIMYM memorabilia all over. Friendly staff . Wife n I shared a sliders combo and had a great warm toddy. Check the bill before you add gratuity; our one already had 20% before the total. Definitely worth a visit.

I was apprehensive about going here because I read a lot of bad reviews of mandatory tips and bad service. I take the google reviews very seriously so decide to only do a quick stop here for cocktails and maybe some French onion soup because I’m a big HIMYM fan. I feel obligated to give this review for at least 2024-12. The service was excellent. There was no mandatory 20% tip on our bill for 3 people at least. The food was also very, very good for a pub. We had the French onion soup, quesadillas, sliders, and spinach dip.

Really good food!! Every dish was superbly delicious. We emptied them in no time. Loved the plantains.
Waiters were quite friendly and energetic. Restroom was clean. Pricing was fine. Music of moderate volume. Decor was cute

This is the best Cuban or maybe just restaurant I've eaten at in the past year so far! Everything was so SO delicious and flavorful, from the appetizers to the Cafe Cubano we had at the end.
This is a full list of everything we tried, this was the perfect Valentine's Day dinner!
Drinks: Tropical Sunrise tastes like freshly squeezed orange juice and the perfect amount of sweetness
Cafe Cubano was a rich espresso with some sugar; I'd go back just to have this every morning before work!
Appetizer: Quesadilla Cubanos were bite-size but juicy and we loved the pineapple and bell pepper combo on top. Reminded me of Hawaiian style food 😍
Snapper Ceviche: Fresh, savory, devoured within a minute
Empanadas de Pollo: A bit dry, sauce was underwhelming but the flour crust was flakey and tasty. 6/10
Entrees:
Oxtail: Oh. My. God. This dish was crafted by a genius and the garlic mofo, crustlings, and oxtail were another level of good. My husband was on Cloud 9 and speechless from this dish; we shared this dish because I couldn't finish it alone. Every dish comes with rice and beans, at some point my husband and I ate the beans by itself and we loved it.
Ropa Vieja and Vaca Frita Combo: This was underwhelming, meat was okay and felt a little over-salted in my opinion. The plantains lacked flavor and overall, I'm not sure we'd get this again but we had to try it as it's the Specialty dish. I'd say 6/10
Dessert: Ask for the bon-bon, this is a molten lava cake with coconut gelato. Unreal combination and tasted like heaven.
Also we had great service, even on a crazy night, Gabriel our server and our clean-up lady was professional, refilling our waters regularly, and friendly! Giving this five stars because of their amazing effort!

I recently visited Victor's Café, and it was a really nice experience! From the moment you walk in, the warm and cozy ambiance makes you feel right at home. I appreciated how they seated me at my table even as I waited for my guest to arrive—a thoughtful touch. The decor was spot on, adding to the inviting atmosphere.
The service was great, and our waiter was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! I had the salmon with white rice and beans and yuca with mojo, which was full of flavor and perfectly cooked. However, I did find the portions to be a bit on the smaller side.
We shared a flan de huevo for dessert—it wasn’t the best I’ve had, but it wasn’t bad either. Overall, I’d definitely go back for another visit. The cozy vibe, excellent service, and tasty food make it a worthwhile spot!
N Rodriguez - 2 months ago
I'd heard about Victor's but could never go. So, on a Friday, my husband and I went. The host was friendly and seated us quickly, although we did not have a reservation. Our waiter was patient and engaging as this was our first visit. I had the encrusted snapper and my husband had chicken. We ordered drinks and I liked that the Mojito didn't have a strong alcohol flavor (a sign that it was mixed well). There was a family at the next table and the dad had oxtails. His food looked so good that I took a picture.
The downside was that we mixed up my desert order so I had to send it back for the correct item (it was still missing the coco ice cream). The flan de huevo was basic. Each table receives white rice and black beans. I prefer my black beans more seasoned. Then there was the cost. For gaucamole, 2 entrees, 2 cocktails, 1 bottle of water for the table, and one dessert, it cost about $200 (including tax and tip).
Victor's will be a treat because weekly would be over $800 a month for two people.

Continuing my birthday party at one of my very favorite Cuban restaurants. This place is the real deal. My croquettes were savory, creamy and crispy. My mojito was like liquid candy. My paella is what a paella should be, a taste of the ocean while sitting in Manhattan. This is and has been one of my very favorite places for authentic Cuban food. A must do on anyone’s list.

Super cool location. The double burger is a bit too much burger mess. Two singles would work better. The shake was yum. Good thickness and flavor. Also, you get a tonne of fries, and the fries are great. Could use a bit more salt, but cooked crispy! The price, though. $50 for a burger, fries, and a shake without a happy ending is a bit too much.

Excellent experience, deserving of 5 stars because it exceeded expectations. The burger is delicious, and the fries are tasty and very generous in portion.
The service, while not exceptional, could still be improved.
The staff is kind during the ordering process, and the way tips are requested is quite charming.

This was a cool little speak easy experience. Was tucked away in the back of the Thompson lounge area - would have never even guessed it was there.
Staff were cool and laid back. Food was great - we got burgers and a grilled cheese (my cheese wasn't as melted as I like for grilled cheese but taste was still good).
Boozy milkshakes were great but expensive.

The Burger Joint at Thompson Central Park truly is a hidden gem. Make your way through the lobby and Parker’s Lounge area and you find a red curtain atop a short staircase. Once the past the red curtain, you are transported to a quintessential NYC no frills burger joint. Line up to place your order. The menu is simple, burger or double burger, preferred level.of doneness, cheese or no cheese, the works or just LT, bacon or no bacon. I chose the cheeseburger with the works and bacon with an order of fries, and a draft beer. The wait is a bit long as to be expected as the place fills up quickly. Seating is first come first serve so plan accordingly. The
Decor is classic 80s NYC. The ambiance and vibe is very laid back with good music playing. I grabbed our meal and we sat to enjoy the atmosphere and food. The fries were thin and crispy, just how I like. The burger was a good size burger with flame grilled taste. No frills classic burger that just hit the spot. They also have milkshakes which all looked pretty good but the Oreo shake caught my eye in particular. I will definitely try to pick up a shake next time. Burger Joint proves that simple is best.

A friend of mine recommended this place as a secret place
But nothing secret is there
The minute we went in the hotel lobby a friendly guy escorted us in there….
The burger was a super simple burger that was super expensive….
The atmosphere was really nice but the burger wasn’t even worth it.
Dont recommend for the food.

Dining at The Russian Tea Room was something I had on my bucket list, and I’m so glad I finally got to experience it. I visited on a Friday evening, and while the restaurant wasn’t crowded, the elegant atmosphere, impeccable service, and delicious food made for a truly memorable night.
Ambiance & Atmosphere
• The classic decor, with its opulent red and gold interiors, instantly transports you to another era.
• Even though the restaurant wasn’t busy, it still had a refined and sophisticated atmosphere.
• The dim lighting, plush seating, and old-world charm created a luxurious and intimate dining experience.
Food – A Wonderful Russian Meal
I had a selection of traditional Russian dishes, and each one exceeded my expectations:
• Pelmeni (Siberian-Style Beef Dumplings) – Served with sour cream, mushrooms, and peas, these dumplings were absolutely delightful. The beef filling was rich and well-seasoned, and the combination of earthy mushrooms and creamy sour cream made this dish incredibly satisfying.
• Apricot-Glazed Duck ($52) – A beautifully prepared dish with crispy skin and tender, juicy meat, served with red cabbage and cherry chutney. The flavors were rich, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced. It was one of the highlights of my meal.
• Famous Tea Room Blintzes – Light, fluffy, and filled with sweet cheese, they were a perfect dessert to end the evening.
• Anastasia Tea – A beautifully fragrant blend of lemon, Earl Grey, and orange blossom, recommended by my server. It was warm, soothing, and at only $10, an absolute must-try.
• Complimentary Bread & Butter – A lovely touch to start the meal, with fresh, soft bread and creamy butter.
Service
• The service was excellent—attentive, professional, and well-paced.
• The presentation of each dish was impeccable, and the servers were knowledgeable about the menu.
Restroom & Unique Elevator Experience
• The bathroom is located in the basement, accessible by a beautiful mirrored elevator.
• The elevator itself is stunning, with mirrored walls that add to the elegance of the restaurant.
Pricing
• As expected, everything was pricey, but the quality and experience justified the cost.
• The Anastasia Tea was a standout value—at only $10, it was absolutely worth it.
Final Thoughts
The Russian Tea Room was a dream come true and absolutely lived up to my expectations. The stunning decor, outstanding service, delicious food, and charming details like the mirrored elevator made it an unforgettable bucket list experience. If you love classic, elegant dining, this is a must-visit in New York City.
⭐ Rating: 5/5 – An iconic NYC experience. I would absolutely return!

This restaurant is historically legendary, originally established by Russian Imperial Ballet in 1926. It was visited by Lots of diplomats, artists, celebrities & multiple awards were being held in the gorgeous Ballrooms upstairs, the restaurant has 4 floors altogether.
We visited during a Restaurant week & it was an interesting experience.
Being New York locals & of Russian heritage we were curious to finally visit & sample their cuisine. We went for a Thursday late dinner after Moulin Rouge musical, the restaurant seemed decadent enough to match the theme.
We went with restaurant week special & ordered Boef a la Stroganoff, lamb chops, salmon, scallops, RTR salad , Medovik cake, baked Alaska & chocolate mousse cake for desert & bottle of wine and our bill was 300+.
All food was beautifully presented but lamb & salmon were pretty dry, either overcooked or re-heated. Medovik was also not up to par - too dry. I would rate their service, chef & patissier as ‘3’ if not for presentation & nice touches from the manager. The Boef Stroganoff, chocolate desert & scallops were good but not the best we’ve had. We are spoiled New Yorkers & foodies though.
We had to wait for at least half hour for the tea after the desert was served & when we inquired if the tea was still coming when we were presented with the bill we were told ‘ I don’t think so’ by the server. Our son glanced at the presented bill & informed the server that we were actually charged for the tea we weren’t served, to which he interestingly responded ‘ did you ask for it?’ Granted it was late but we were disappointed. The teapot did arrive some time even later when we were finished with the dessert half an hour ago.
As we were leaving, the manager inquired if we had a good time & actually gave us a quick private tour of the second floor banquet hall. I would give the manager a separate excellent rating which unfortunately isn’t the case with the rest of our experience at this restaurant.
Generally, a restaurant of this caliber, with their pricing & setup, sets certain expectations as sharp looking pleasant & white gloved service staff, which were not even closely met. The staff shall presumably be familiar with the theme culture if not a part of it.
This restaurant feels like a cold blast from the past, with great selection of beginning of the era Russian artifacts, as beautiful samovar collection, art works & other symbolic wall artistry displayed, with not a single server or any other employee present speaking the language or familiar with culture.
The restrooms are in the basement in the room that seem to be previously serving as a gift shop & coat check, currently even more outdated & deserted.
There’s a reason why each section in Disney’s Epcot representing a country theme requires employees originating accordingly & speaking the language.
Not sure if going for high tea would be a more positive experience because getting the tea was a bit problematic, and getting our waiters attention nearly impossible even though the place was nearly empty.
By the way, lots of more modern artifacts are available locally from the St Petersburg & other themed stores on Brighton beach, by the ocean.

This was probably the most beautiful restaurant I have ever been to! And I have been to a lot of restaurants having been to 60 something countries and all seven continents. The service was great and the people were wonderful. They saw my fiancé and I struggling to take a selfie and came over to help us. This is one of the few places I would return to in New York City if I return.

Great piece of nostalgic New York. The servers were amazing. We did the tea service which is always a treat. The sandwiches however, seemed as though they were sitting out for a while, otherwise a great experience.

Over the top opulent décor. The most ostentatiously and lavish dining room my wife and I have ever set foot in. Might want to wear sunglasses to subdue the stunning surroundings (lol). It's fun to take it all in. The booths are fabulously comfortable and best of all, despite the décor, it is a sedate dining experience. My wife and I do not like loud and here the noise level is civilized. Your focus is on the food, not on the table next to you talking nonsense loudly. Staff is outgoing and service is faultless.
Surprisingly, at the time of this review RTR has a 3.9 star rating. It is much better than that, but I think I know the reason. Basically it depends on what time you go. Wife and I have eaten here a few times. The only time we have been disappointed is when there is an event at Carnegie Hall, which is next door, and it feels like the kitchen at RTR is overwhelmed. Get the food out no matter what. The food taste's like an assembly line dish as do the cocktails. Not bad, just mediocre. An example would be the time my wife had Vegetable Wellington, which was a thumbs down. Virtually tasteless. Same for the Sea Bass I had. Not terrible, but considering the price and previous dinners there it was very disappointing. Super long wait to get seated as well even though we had reservations. Like a 1/2 hour wait. Other patrons were in the same boat. Lots of complaining and RTR was packed. On the positive the noise level was not annoying even though every table was taken and as always the service was impeccable. So the secret is....late lunch or early dinner.
Now the good. Our last dinner was an early one having made reservations for 4:30. A wonderful time and a great meal from start to finish. Not crowded and quite a few tables available. Appetizers where an RTR salad and RTR Borscht. Salad greens were fresh and the maple vinaigrette along with the goat cheese crumbles made for a perfect salad. My wife described the RTR Borscht as good as a friend's home made ( a recipe from "the old country" as in Eastern European) Borscht. High praise indeed. A beef pirozhoz was an accompaniment and was noted to be delicious. In the past we have also had Khinkali and Onion soup. Both were very satisfying. Main courses were Cotelette Kiev (chicken) and Potato Vareniki. The chicken was moist and tender with a wonderfully crisp and flavorful skin. The sauce was sublime and added just the right amount of pop to the dish. Fresh vegetables rounded out the dish. Delish and same for the Vareniki. Deserts, Blintzes and Crème Brulee, were very good. Although the Blintzes were satisfying the portion size was extremally disappointing. I'm almost never taken aback by portion size, but good lord two tiny Blintzes that would blow away if you sneezed. Would not order again. They were good, but not like they were the most shockingly good Blintzes that would justify their price. You've been warned. On the flip side definitely order the Banana Nalysnyky. Ten thousand thumbs up on that one.

An intimate and modest venue to see some amazing and brilliant music stars! I went to see Eric Krasno Trio and loved the sound quality and performance. The food menu may not be quite vegetarian friendly, but there are some good options for drinks. I wish the seating arrangement was different and was not perpendicular to the stage; hard on your neck if you're on a wrong angle. Plus, you'll be almost hugging the person sitting beside you as the tables are extremely narrow.

Came here with a large group for dinner. Had reservations but still a long wait with them before we were seated. The menu has a good amount of options and is heavy on the seafood. Meat options exist and the steak was ok. The seafood is fresh. The service was on the slower side and we were one of the later seating so our server left before we were finished eating. He even split our bill give the party size and did not advise the staff so after we paid we were basically chased for the remainder of the balance. Overall this was not worth the money and quality of the food was not as expected for the amount we were charged.

The restaurant was very average and was not worth the price we paid. The food was alright but nothing crazy and not sure I would come back on my own terms. Had the tuna and steak for mains and was pretty basic especially for the price. Overall, medium at best.

The dining room has not been updated in 25 years since it opened. The food is very good but not amazing. Picking out your own fish is silly and ends up feeling like a rip off on price. The salt baking takes an hour and can only be done with very expensive larger fish (not worth it, grill is best preparation). Tomato salad is their best item. Fries are $15 per serving!! The zucchini chips are $30 each! Everything is a la cart. Desserts are disappointing. Service was not well coordinated and a bit odd personalities. This place is part of a chain with not great store level management. Still was packed on a rainy Sunday night. They have a 3 course pre-theater menu for $65 pp. Our bill for 5 people was $564 plus $100 tip (my husband is a generous tipper😩). We felt it was overpriced but we still like it and would probably go back because we do like good Greek food.

One of the greatest Mediterranean (Greek) restaurants in New York. Highly recommended for their amazing appetizers and main courses. The lamb chops, lobster pasta and fish are a must!

Stopped in to get away from the weekend crowds and found a great place to have a meal and drinks. A lot of restaurants tend to seat diners in the same area but this place actually kept the different parties as far apart as possible. They let us enjoy our drinks and meal and didn’t rush us out of there. It was wonderful way to decompress. Food was delicious and the staff was attentive.

Food was great. Drinks were good. Service started off very well but quickly trailed off a few minutes after we sat down. The first round of drinks came very quickly - within a few minutes. But....then we waited and waited. Nobody came back to take our order, another round of drinks, fill up water, etc.
35 minutes after sitting down and about 10 minutes after I'd finished my drink, we had to wave the waiter over to order our mains. We ordered and then when food came, wanted drinks 5 minutes before happy hour ended. However, the waiter told us it was too late...we looked at the time but he just walked away.
We didn't see the waiter again until we got up to pay because the waiter was MIA.
We were there for more than 1.5 hours and it was very quiet. There were about 3 or 4 other tables. We got no water refills the entire time and nobody checked on us after the food arrived.
The place is great, the food is fantastic, the staff is friendly - when they remember you exist.
They started off as 5 stars because the service was so good to begin with. Sadly it didn't continue.
Great food but don't think I'll be back any time soon.

Nice place.. nice vibe. Really liked the holiday decor and the holiday atmosphere. The restaurant was brimming with happy faces when we dined Friday evening.
A wide range of cocktails to choose from - really enjoyed their cocktails.
Food was average. Not too great. The quantity of food servings were very less. For the cost they charge us, they can certainly give more quantities.
We explored both the nightclubs at around 10. Not any vibe as such. Hardly a handful of people - Just a few people dancing to themselves. May be it gets better later in the night.

We went to see MJ at The Neil Simon Theater. Brown said the wings were good, Robinson had the calamari and chicken sandwich w fries. The calamari was rubbery, and grilled chicken was hard and dry. My nachos were horrible, the beef was mushy- no seasoning. I didn't understand how you can have Happy Hour drinks and not food. I won't be going back. Now the drinks he made was good.

The steak was cooked and seasoned well. The bernaise sauce tasted really nice. The corn was served hot but was literally just plain grilled sweet corn without any seasoning - even salt. Service and atmosphere were what you would expect from a busy NYC steakhouse.

I had such high hopes for this place after reading other reviews. My wife and I made reservations for our last night in the city. At first everything was great. We did have some dirty glasses on the table when we sat down, but it wasn’t a bid deal, the waiter took care of it.
I ordered the 12oz filet and my wife got the porcini mushroom scallops. I got a perfectly medium rare filet, as ordered, but it was 100% flavorless. I flagged down a waiter who said he would track down our server which never happened. We had a show to catch so I did what I could with the table salt. I have never needed to resort to putting table salt on my steak. It was disappointing especially since it was a $68 piece of meat. I ended up eating about half. Our original waiter never showed up after he served us our food. No one else bothered to see how our meal was or anything. It wasn’t too busy either, as our reservation was for 5pm that day. We couldn’t even get the check in a reasonable amount of time which almost made us late for our show.
My wife did enjoy her scallops, and it was a nice ambiance in the restaurant.

I usually go to the Bob Van's on 54th St. but I decided to try a new branch this day. My state came back with very little pink in it despite me asking for medium rare (much closer to medium well and even well done at some parts). I never really do this, but considering it is a nice restaurant, I told him that my steak was incorrectly, showed them and asked to have it changed. They gave me a new steak, but then it was super rare (you'll see the photo here). The service was excellent all throughout, they even asked me if my new steak was OK. I just said yes because I definitely was not going to have them waste another steak (and of course was hungry) and I prefer mine undercooked to overcooked anyway. I also felt that the steak at this branch was much less flavorful than the one at 54th. I remember the last two times that I ate at the 54th street branch the sirloin bone in was EXPLODING with flavor to the point that my friend kept commenting about what a tasty steak it was. I was really chasing the flavor on the steak I had at the 50th St. branch and even asked for salt to make it a bit more tasty. The steak was a little over overall, I would still say good value, especially for a city like New York, and overall still a great spot - just in comparison to the other branch, this one wasn't as good.

What a great staff and service was amazing. Wine, a porterhouse for 4 plus sides and dessert. We can away happy and full. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Bobby Vance is a beautiful restaurant and bar. Started our wonderful evening at the long bar… and when everyone had arrived, we moved to a classy table by the picturesque windows. Our great server, Jeremy, was attentive and fun and recommended ideas for ordering. The Argentinian Steak, Filet Mignon, and seafood combinations were all excellent. It was also nice to start off with the freshest breads, seasoned crackers and spread. An easy 5 Stars for this classic steak house…. and 5+ Stars for Jeremy.
