We looked for a good dim sum restaurant before going to the Natural History Museum and found one on Google. However, the food was not exceptional, and nothing really stood out. We have had better dim sum in other places. The service was decent, and so was the atmosphere.

My partner and I had a very nice experience dining here on Easter, food was great, staff was friendly and the menu had several great options. We ended up ordering a few things off of the dim sum menu and were super full by the end of our meal. Of course I had to get the turnip cakes and they were perfectly soft and delicious. Other dishes I’d recommend are the crab and pork soup dumplings, beef skewers, fried shrimp wontons and beef rice noodle roll (not pictured). I’d absolutely come back to try more of the cocktails, they have a ton of fun, tasty drinks for good prices. 10/10 would definitely recommend

This is a very good place to get dim sum on the upper west side! And as dim sum is their specialty, I recommend sticking with that part of the menu, because the non-dim sum items are kind of hit and miss and really nothing to write home about really. If you go to a place like this, you will be going for the dim sum. As for the atmosphere, I was a bit bothered by the slightly loud dance music, which struck me as a wrong musical choice and volume. Also, the chairs, which I never comment on, are uncomfortable — the hard steel on your butt, with no cushioning, just doesn’t feel good after a while and along with the annoying music, this encouraged me to want to leave. I’ve gone to this place a bunch of times over the past decade and the dim sum has always been good, but when I did venture into other parts of the menu, I felt a bit disappointed, with the exception of some of the vegetable dishes, which are a nice compliment to the dim sum.

It's nice to have some dim sum when you're near the museum of natural history. The shrimp dishes were really plump and yummy. Everything is just a 40% more expensive than getting it from Chinatown.
Clemens Wan - a month ago
Pretty decent food for the price. Of course you can get better dim sum in Chinatown but this place is good enough to satisfy your cravings. The shrimp dumplings were probably my favorite. The peking duck dumplings were kind of mid (the purpleish dumplings) and the chicken lo mein was kind of bland (nothing a bit of chili paste/chili oil couldn’t fix). Overall, better than average experience.

I'm glad to heaI recently visited Sarabeth's Bakery on Amsterdam Avenue, and I must say it was a truly delightful experience. We enjoyed top-tier Bloody Marys with unique garnishes like bacon and shredded pickled carrots. I opted for the Eggs Benedict, which were absolutely delicious, and my companions tried the mouthwatering Lemon and Ricotta Pancakes and Avocado Toast. The staff was fantastic, making our visit even more enjoyable. If you're in NYC and looking for a great brunch spot, Sarabeth's Bakery is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

One of the best breakfast places over tried so far. The food is amazing and there’s no way to describe how good it is. Everything we got tasted perfect and very well made.
The only bad thing is: everything is very expensive in Manhattan, I get it. The food was totally worth the price so it was not a problem. But when it comes to the orange juice that’s where I see there’s something wrong. $12 a glass of orange juice that is not even fresh and squeezed at the moment. I’m very picky when it comes to that and I definitely know when an orange juice is fresh squeezed, but paying $12 for a glass where you can see they pouring it in a cup from a gallon is very disappointing. Many places (most of them) serve artificial orange juice. I get it. But they have a different price for that. All my experience in going out for brunch or breakfast where I ordered orange juice, I never paid that much for an artificial one.
So this is the only crazy thing I saw and I experienced. I would definitely go back but not ordering the orange juice again.
Overall, everything was perfect and tasty.

I would give the omelette (3.5/5) and pancakes (3/5). The omlette was cooked nicely and had a tasty side of jam and butter, but the omelette itself lacked seasoning. and The avocado's texture was liquidy and lacked seasoning (1.5/5). The french toast was a bit oily and you could feel the taste of the eggs - wasn't very nice (1/5). Food was mostly bland, unfortunately.
There may be better orders, but based on my experience, I wouldn't go back.

I haven't explored numerous brunch destinations in New York City, but Sarabeth's, situated on the Upper West Side, marked my inaugural experience. My husband and I opted for a brunch outing, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The buttermilk pancakes and crispy chicken sandwich we selected were a delight. Accompanied by their timeless mimosa and a passionista, our meal was thoroughly enjoyable. If you find yourself uncertain about where to indulge in brunch, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this establishment a try

From the moment I walked through the door, I was treated so fantastic by everyone who worked there. The host Jill made me feel welcome and special. I was able to watch the Mets and basketball at the same time. The place was totally packed, yet my waitress brought me a taste of an amazing ipa and the best wings in NYC. Stephanie and Chloe never let my beer go empty. Amazing experience in every way. Highly recommended.

Definitely a divey scene, but came in to watch a basketball game and there was a good crowd. Plus, if you are in search of the perfect Buffalo wings, I highly recommend this place. They were crispy without being dry, generously sauced, and great flavor wing sauce. 10/10 would come back for more
Lauren Cover - a month ago
I had the driest wing ever. They fried them for too long. I barely taste the skin. It tasted dry almost burnt. It’s sad that you eat it and that they tell you it’s because I picked them as mild. Too dry wings 😩😩

Blondies Sports bar, having been around since 1979, is the most popular establishment on the Upper West Side to watch live sporting events. On Sundays during football season, this place gets jam-packed during lunchtime. Also, aside from watching live sporting events, Blondies is known for their chicken wings, which are awesome!

I come in often with my roommates, and Denny and Jill are nothing but excellent every time.
There was once an issue with our bill and they remedied it immediately and with a smile.
The service here is unmatched, every time we come in we have an excellent experience. From wait times to staff demeanor, to food quality everything is genuinely top tier. Atmosphere is fun, especially trivia on Friday nights!
The wings are absolutely stellar, every flavor slaps - without fail - and the onion rings are excellent! The philly cheesesteak is a pass but the fries that come with it are also out of this world.
You would be remiss not to try this local spot!

Simple, tasty, satisfying food.
Medu Wada - was freshly made. Proper crispy, good quantity (3 wadas), chutneys and sambar was nice
Puri Sabji - simple and tasty korma and potato Sabji. Puri was a bit oily, was bhatura basically
Kara Masala Dosa - very light and crispy dosa. The sabzi (vegetable potato mix) was very nice
Filter coffee and masala chai were on point.
A great stop if you are craving good south Indian food.

Despite high expectations, my visit to this place was disappointing. I had ordered a masala dosa. Sadly it came with very little filling and an overly oily texture. While I'm willing to give it another try, the initial experience fell short. Service and ambiance were pleasant, but culinary expectations were unmet.

Five of us ate here and brought my mom, who is in a wheelchair. They were so gracious and rearranged tables to accommodate her, and were totally unbothered by the hassle. The server was attentive and helpful throughout the evening, and never rushed us, even though we stayed until just before closing. Every dish was wonderful, a truly excellent meal. This place is a neighborhood gem, and we highly recommend them.

WOW!
I really liked this place. Came here a few times and each one did not disappoint. It's comfort food that I don't feel 100% awful about eating. Each dosa is incredibly delicious, as well as the curries and sauces that come on their menu.
I had their signature puri w/ the chana masala curry and it was divine. In the past, I've also tried their cheese dosa, masala dosa and the thali. Each one was better than the last! You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu. And to top it off, they are also very reasonably priced.
I'm so glad there are amazing plant based options this delicious! This place has definitely become a regular for me.

My husband and I went off the tourist track and visited this bar today! Lovely chilled atmosphere! Server more than helpful and we can watch Liverpool game there on Sunday! Good selection of beers (husband expert level beer taster having had his own bar) had chicken wings and a lovely conversation with a library expert local who I assume is a regular … nice speaking to a New Yorker about all things American and British!
We had been looking for a nice local bar and this was definitely one we were pleased to go in!

4/13/24 first time here. Cool bar vibe. Interesting beers on tap.
We had the pretzel 'filled with jalapeno cheese' but there was No hint of jalapeno.
So it's just cheese filled, good but smaller than we expected. Not like your traditional large hot pretzel.
We had the turkey Ruben, which was good.
Friendly service.

Local beer joint with tons of drafts on tap. Recommend for beer people but food is not too great- y try he Mac bites felt you would heat up. Best thing was the burger- overall okay. Cute outdoor seating

Layout/atmosphere
*Bar (old, worn in wood) to right of entrance; high tables surround the bar; six TVs; windows with view onto street; tables in the back (craft beer taps on the wall); outdoor dining structures on Amsterdam & W 76 St; tables underneath awning on W 76; tables enclosed before the entrance
Service
*Solid
Food/drink
*Cuban sandwich (sliced ham, shredded pork, melted swiss, pickles, mayo and mustard served on a toasted hoagie roll) with French fries - good; crunchy bread; portion not the biggest; fries were crispy but could have used a bit more salt
*Fifth Hammer Brewing Shark Repellent Kolsch (draft) - above average; clean, sweet

Stopped by before a show at The Beacon. Good beer selection. Decided to share the loaded nachos with pulled pork, it was a large portion, and very tasty. Not so with the Buffalo cauliflower wings. The taste was OK, but the breading was soggy, mushy. They should be fried til nice and crispy, then tossed in sauce right before serving. They tasted more like a bad frozen meal from a store and microwaved. The server was great and was able to take it off our bill.

Yesterday, I wanted to give this 2nd Peacefood location a try after visiting the Lower East Side location 2 years ago. The inside of the place was really Nice and the staff were very friendly. For Dinner, I had the Miso Tahini Sprouted Sandwich with Iced Coffee. My 3rd Coffee of the day where I was able to complete 60,000 steps around Manhattan and Brooklyn. Pretty good Cafe vibe for Vegan Lunch and Dinner. Highly recommend.

Lots of great vegan choices. I had the burger and fries, it was delicious. The chili was very flavorful. The pumpkin quiche was a little dry. Really enjoyed the chick pea fries.

I really enjoyed this place, both the food and atmosphere were great. I would highly recommend the chickpea fries, dumplings, and key lime pie. The mocha breakfast smoothie was delicious, like a milkshake almost. The lasagna and strawberry cheesecake were also good. I would pass on the potato pizza. I found out that if something is not on the paper menu but is located on the menu online, it’s available to order. Staff was very kind and attentive. It was a great date spot and had so many pastries and desserts available. I will definitely be coming back.

How can you go wrong with $3 bud light seltzer and a $5 tap beer?
It’s your basic neighborhood bar on Amsterdam nothing fancy and always has a crowd drinking, playing pool and foosball.
Service was great, the bartender and manager were super friendly. Always a favorite stop when in town.

Only thing is good is a live music! Food is okay, wine is also okay. Service is kind of slow but even that for the night I went to with my friends was crowded so I kind of put up with it.

Jake’s Dilemma on the Upper West Side of Manhattan is a fantastic bar for cheap drinks, dancing, and watching sports.
And you should also head there with proper expectations. It’s not somewhere you’re gonna order intricate cocktails, have a business meeting, or read a book.
It’s a young bar with loud music, cheap drinks, and sports on the TVs at all times.
Jake’s Dilemma has some negative reviews on Google & Yelp, but I think most of those people just had unrealistic expectations. Also, a good chunk of those reviews are from 4-6 years ago, and I think things have improved since then. We’ve always had a solid experience with the staff and left feeling tipsy for cheap, a rarity in NYC. Check out our full review (not sponsored) on our website!

We all enjoyed our Friday night takeout dinner from land Thai kitchen. It was as good as expected. We ordered chicken pad Thai, beef pad Thai, flat noodle with chicken, and beef fried rice. We got to choose the spiciness, and it was pretty good.
After ordering to-go many times, I learnt that my favorite dishes are shrimps pad thai, beef drunken noodle mild spicy, massaman chicken mild spicy, beef pad see ew noodle, and mixed appetizers.

Super cheap & delicious food. A bit too sweet for my taste but the ingredients are fresh and presentation is nice. It’s a very small restaurant so don’t expect to have personal space. Waitresses are nice, and will help you get in & out of your table. Great spot for a quick bite or cheap meal.
