Awesome little Irish pub. We visited a couple times due to close proximity to our hotel. Drinks on the 4th floor roof was kind of fun just to be outside and look down the street. We ate here as well and enjoyed the food. Great menu. Fun place.

What a great place. It's huge too. Great food. Great staff. Bernie is awesome. Collects challenge coins and patches. (Military, LEO, Fire, etc)
Great pub atmosphere. My new fav place in NYC.

My wife and I were recently in New York from Scotland and Connolly's was my favourite place for a beer!
They have so many beers on tap, the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and chilled.
The patrons were also more knowledgeable about football (soccer) than they were in some other establishments that I watched the Euros in!

THE COOLEST PUB!! Great service, we were on vacation and it was a weekday and the joint was hopping! Food was fast, hot and delicious. We will be back for sure when we return to NYC! Oh the balcony view is super cool!

My family visited here for breakfast on three occasions with my 6 year old grandson and have to say the food and service was wonderful. Bernie is such a helpful guy. The food and atmosphere was lovely and we enjoyed all of our visits.
Thank you Bernie and your staff for making our visit to New York delightful.

This place was one of the hardest places I've had to rate. The restaurant itself is beautiful and I loved the jellyfish lighting.
We made reservations ahead. But while we were out exploring the city we received a text asking for a deposit to hold our reservation. We did not see it and when we got there our reservation was gone. They did still get us in which was great.
Our waiter seemed very nice but maybe a little nervous. He might have been new. After we had already ordered and started eating we noticed that people around us were being told the specials of the evening. We were never told of any specials. Everyone else so seemed to be getting bread and we never got bread. Two of us had steak which was absolutely a 5 out of 5. Another member of our party had chicken which was dry and overcooked. The blueberry cheesecake for dessert was phenomenal.
One member of our party had finished their steak but clearly had a large dish of mashed potatoes sitting in front of them. A woman, not our waiter, came up and scooped away his plate, knife & fork without asking if he was down or even pausing. Another member of our party gave him our extra fork to finish his potatoes. He pulled the side plate up where the dinner plate used to be and was working on the potatoes. A few minutes later the same woman came through and scooped up that dish and took it away even though it was half full. He was done eating so it was okay but we found the behavior very strange! It didn't seem very busy and they were a lot of empty tables but we definitely felt like we were hurried right out of there!
The building was beautiful and I'm glad I got to experience this place once but I probably would not go back. Pretty expensive for what we got and I felt very rushed.

We decided just to grab some appetizers instead of dinner. We went with the crabcakes, calamari, bang, bang shrimp, lobster and crab roll and sea bass. All of the flavors were absolutely amazing and presentation was top-notch. Service was exceptional in the atmosphere was chill and inviting.

Had high, high hopes. But then “Sushi” eateries must meet very high expectations..: location at Times Square - perfect
Food - standard kind of Nigiri/Sashimi/Rolls - nothing really inventive of that would elevate the palate. Freshness is not so fresh (sorry)
Service - splendid - attentive
Atmosphere - modernish - fabulous LARGE sharp slide-like screen pictures are gorgeous - love the ceiling lights and oceanic theme (please DO
LOOK UP)
Presentation- nice and some things really nice
Summary
4.3-4.5 total
Why not 5/5
Freshness (no so fresh)
Presentations (standard - nothing unique)
Overall - a nice place to take friends when in the area or going to the theatres

Service was very slow, even after letting our server know we had a show to see. Entrees were just so-so for the price. Enjoyed the Blue Fin sushi roll. No time for dessert.

What an amazing experience we had while visiting this restaurant. The service was out of this world. Our waitress Amanda went above and beyond to make our visit so memorable. The food was so DELICIOUS. We will definitely visit again.

This place owes me nothing! Wow! A perfect 10. A wonderful restaurant with absolutely perfect service and the food is beyond. Worth every penny and we cannot wait to get back and enjoy again.
Went to dinner with friends to celebrate and we ordered it all, starting with the special cocktail- The VIP. Yummy. Tuna tartar was my hubs favorite. Wedge salad with excellent blue cheese is always my favorite. Filet mignon was superb, but the surprise standout was the château mashed potatoes- unbelievable. The warm butter cake is not to be missed. And The lemon cake is also a nice surprise and is large enough to feed 4!

I have been there twice in the past 6 months. The first time was in March. That experience led me come back again in September 2024. When I visited the first time, I wanted to have a nice meal and a wine just before I left NY. Bartender Dan was kindly advising me a meal that is not in the menu but was fitting perfect for what I was looking for. He then paired it with one of the best red wines I tasted. This welcoming, attentive and friendly experience led me to visit again in September. Unfortunately I learned that Dan passed away since the last time I saw him. I am very sorry for his absence and I wish his soul peace. His skilled colleagues keep the place in check. I will always visit this place to honour his memory. R. I. P. beautiful soul.

Del frisco is definitely different from what it was a couple of years ago and I now understand why it's very easy to get a reservation at this place.
They have plenty of tables available even on Friday evening. They have a couple of staff who look like managers and will only take care of the table on rare occasions. Servers do not introduce highlights of their menu or make food drink recommendations any more.
Now for the food: steak is okay. I like the fact that they have a fattier cut. But they tend to overcook. It's also under seasoned.
Overall, I was not impressed by my latest experience at Del Frisco's and this place would not rank as #1 NYC given where they're at right now.
For tourists, honestly, the halal food truck just outside of the steakhouse is even more worthy than visiting here.

I recently dined at Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House in New York, and it was an exceptional experience. The NY Strip steak was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection with a wonderful sear and tender, juicy interior that true steak lovers will appreciate.
To make our anniversary even more special, the staff generously offered us a complimentary slice of their rich and creamy cheesecake, which was a delightful surprise and a testament to their excellent customer service.
While the prices are on the higher side, they are quite reasonable considering the high standards and quality one expects in New York City.
Overall, Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House delivers a memorable dining experience with superb food and attentive service, making it well worth a visit.

I highly recommend this place. If you want to escape the monotony of New York, this place is perfect! Songs are sung in karaoke mode. The waiters interact with you and it's very cool. You are served in a few minutes, which is extremely good. On the other hand, expect to wait, I personally waited 1h30 to get in. The servers are very polite and cheerful. But for the food, it's very good but it's quite basic. This place is worth the detour and the wait. It's an experience that I would happily repeat. This place is really a place not to be missed. PS: I do not recommend this place if you are narrow-minded because it could quickly bore you.

I visited two days ago. It was a weekday but we were waiting at least 30 minutes. I am not a fan of long waits but it’s worth it.
The servers are also the performers and they have talents!! I didn’t know the songs they’re sining but i really enjoyed it.
The food has great taste. I would recommend the “crispy wing”. The sauce was really good.
You should be aware of that tips are already included the price.

If you’re looking for high class food, this place isn’t for you. It’s standard American fare and it’s a diner. Still not a bad hamburger to be found in the house. The waffle fries they serve are good.
However, it’s the singing that overshadows the ordinariness of the food. I don’t think there’s any other place in NYC, outside of being at a Broadway play, that you will be captivated by some amazing talent.
Yes, you’ll be crammed into a seat with someone to your immediate left and right giving you little room to move. But once the staff breaks out in song you won’t care.
Your food will come fast. Your server is very attentive. And they throw a 20% tip into the bill that goes to all staff
But make sure you give an extra tip that is collected in special buckets they will pass around. This goes to help the amazing talent that sings.
Scott Harrigan - 2 months ago
Server said: “You don’t come here for the food. You come to be entertained!” This is bang on accurate. The food is regular pub grub and was lacking flavour on all counts.
The entertainment was like no other place. Amazing singing and atmosphere. The place was buzzing. The servers are the singers and they sing to the whole restaurant while they serve. You are immerse in entertainment. It’s pretty cool actually.
No reservations allowed and the wait was almost an hour long. I’m not a fan of long waits so I’d likely not go again but glad I went once. One other negative was the push for tips. They literally pass a bucket around while you are eating and then ask for a tip with the bill.

We waited over an hour, but it was worth it.
Be prepared to be entertained by the extremely talented waiting staff.
Delicious food staff extremely talented. They even sang “Happy Birthday” to me & several others. What an amazing atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit but would recommend planning your visit in advance due to wait time as your unable to make reservations.

My first time at the Oliver was 10 years ago, the first impression was very good, nice vibe, I came here to celebrate my friends in NY with me. 10 years later I bring my husband ohh boy, restaurant dirty, all tables was a mess, poor service, my drink came when I asked for my bill!!! food is decent nothing spectacular, it’s a simple restaurant not fancy at all, u can see the food is cheap, salad, bread, the past in general, well a place to go just once in life. Totally different from the last visit. Please, employees of the restaurant, do your job and do a deep cleaning everywhere, specially the entrance, it’s needs to be cozy and first impression is always important. Can imagine how dirty the kitchen is?

Went here for the Unlimited Pasta Bowl and it was amazing! My waiter, Josue, was very kind and attentive. We were sat in the very back with an amazing view of the Times Square Staircase and we worried they would forget about us but were quickly proven wrong. Josue was a great host and I will definitely return for his service alone. The food tasted great and the pasta bowls had a great amount. The spiked strawberry lemonade was delicious as well. We were a party of two so wait time was not a problem. Would recommend.

I recently visited Olive Garden in Times Square and had some mixed feelings about my experience. To start, the soup was overly salty, which significantly impacted its taste.
However, the restaurant's location is perfect for those looking to take a break from walking around the area or who want a quick meal. The atmosphere was comfortable, and the service was quick and friendly.
Despite these positives, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for a fancy dinner or a special dining experience. It's a decent option for a quick and light meal while touring Times Square.

A casual and decent Italian spot in the heart of NYC, near Times Square.
We visited for a weekday lunch as a group of five, and the wait time was minimal—around 5-6 minutes.
We opted for the lunch menu, which included unlimited minestrone soup and Caesar salad. The service was relatively quick, and the lady attending to us was very kind and attentive. We also enjoyed limitless cheese on top of our minestrone, which was a nice touch. The seasoning on the salad was a bit intense and overpowered the freshness you’d usually expect, but it wasn’t a major issue.
For the price, it’s solid Italian food—perfect if you're short on time while running around the city.

Never Ending Pasta Bowl did not disappoint. I ate at the bar upstairs in the main dining room Sunday evening 9/22. The bartender ( who was busy making drinks for the whole restaurant) was attentive and wonderful. Answered all my questions and made some great recommendations. Food came out quickly and was hot. The salad was crisp and the bread sticks were warm. All around a great meal and experience.

We came to NYC for my sister in laws graduation from NYU, decided to come here before going to a broadway show and got some apps and food, the cheese plate and focaccia were absolutely amazing, but the part that really stood out for us was when we asked our server Kazi to take a photo of us, he took us outside to get much better photos that I will cherish for the rest of my life! He was so sweet and kind and I am just grateful that we got to meet him, we had a lot of great service out there, but he by far went above and beyond and just was a genuinely wonderful man! Thank you Kazi! Hope to come see you again the next time we are out there!

First time in NYC! Traveling with some friends who had ate at previously and highly recommended The View. They had attended prior to the epidemic and experienced the revolving floor that added to the dining appeal.
Sad to say that the floor no longer turned and menu was set, everyone eats the same thing, so hopefully you liked everything being served on the menu because there are no substitutions. In exchange for the revolving floor, you got a “show” of a miniature chef preparing each course that they bring out to you.
While the staff was friendly and attentive and the meal presentation was cute, we were stunned and less than impressed by our enormous bill. For two people the bill was well over $400 which was more than our round trip flights to the city!! We were totally shocked and thrown off by this, as was our friend who had been a patron there before! She said that every about this experience had changed and was nothing like she remembered and wanted to share the experience again with us.
Beware before booking your reservation as this is NOT budget friendly and you will want to make sure your taste buds align with the menu. This is not something I would recommend to a friend as I am sure there other nice eating establishments that would cost far less!

This was our second time here with our family, but the first since Covid and the first since La Petite Chef. The bottom line is while still a superior restaurant, the price does not reflect much more than the payment to restore the spinning restaurant mechanism that makes "the view" worth it in the first place.
Please note, and if you've seen our other reviews, you know that, at All Set Vacations, we pride ourselves on providing true and transparent editorial content based on all my years as a journalist and educator.
We paid $1200 for this experience.
Definitely arrive early. We shared drinks a snack in one of the lower floor restaurants first because we read that it might not be enough food, it definitely was enough food and the wine at dinner was also enough alcohol to suffice anyone.
By arriving early, we enjoyed three different appetizers. They were ok, but mostly breading, so, nothing special.
The show is cool, but, as a photographer and cinematographer/media person myself, felt a bit dated. Essentially, there is a ultra high resolution projector above your table with four specifically placed circles that mark your plate. That way the projector can the two-dimensional animation at the same time to all four place settings. It's a simple two-dimensional cartoon chef that runs around and you enjoy his antics for a few minutes as he prepares what you're about to eat and then the food is served right afterwards. That's pretty much it. It was cool but nothing that was mouth dropping or eye opening other than just being a novelty. It would definitely be worth a look to do it once but not sure if it warrants the heavy price tag. I'm not sure if I would recommend coming here just for this part alone. However, the food, plus this experience, depending on your preference for something different could make it worth it.
Now for the food itself at dinner. The food was amazing, but, heavy! How anyone can say they didn't feel they ate enough is beyond me! The cream base on many dishes filled us up and we definitely felt it! The portions are fine. I did a little digging and looked up each one of the pairing wines individually. They are all very highly ranked and we're all delicious. We have more of a preference for red and we know a bottle of stag sleep alone is a $100 bottle. So having two glasses of that was wonderful. Put that together with all the other ones and if you're a wine person, this is like having a high-end flight. I also included a picture of the menu to see all food and beverage offerings.
The dinner courses were fantastic, fresh, and served perfectly. The lobster included a portion of a tail and one claw (would have loved more of that for the price like half of a normal 8 oz tail or skip the rubbery claw even though it helps the presentation). The beef short rib was very tender as well. The first course, again, solid, and the desert was complex and balanced.
So....let's lay it out and see if it gets an 'All-Set' seal of approval.....-after the breakdown.
Let's be generous and assume each wine glass costs $20. For my wife and I, that would be $160 total.
Let's give the first course a $20 price on a normal menu, that's $80 for all four of us.
Second course $30 each normally, $120 total.
Let's assume each main entree of short ribs would be a max of $50 each- $200 total.
And dessert, $20 each or $80 total.
So... for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 kids:
That's $640 for a really wonderful dinner for the four of us at a decent high view of the other tall buildings in the area. ( remember, it's not spinning currently). Add in a tip of 130 and that's $770.
That's essentially a markup of $430 that is likely paying for the projector and, from what we learned, management to save up to turn the spinning motor back on!
Final thoughts: if you can rationalize the extra costs for the experience, do it once but, without the spinning view, the view ( name of the restaurant)! isn't great. But, the food, drinks ,and service is worth $640, but not $1200!

Excellent service, and equally good food! If your server recommends a special, get it! It's not like places that put on a special because they need to move product. It's because they got something special for a particular dish on a particular day. Every course was fantastic. Servers are fabulous, and the menu offers a selection for every taste.

Tourist trap. Low quality food.
My table ordered the carbonara and although it looked good, it was not creamy. We also ordered the Bolognese and it was alright.
Tastes like some cheap prepared pasta you can find in a grocery store. I tasted three different wines and they also all taste like $5 wines from a chain grocery store.
I’ve definitely had higher quality pasta elsewhere in the city.

The food and the drinks were delicious. The atmosphere was festive and welcoming. We were seated at quite a small and tight table setting, but didn’t feel uncomfortable. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. Altogether it was a very positive experience and nice experience. Prices are high though for the ambiance. It’s still quite a touristy place and a bit warn down, but I left 5 stars understanding that the location dictates the prices. Also the prices were the only thing to disagree even for New-Yorker, otherwise the service and the food was great.

This was a very fun, and pleasant surprise off Times Square.
There was a band playing when we first arrived.
It was a little loud where we were sitting toward the front, but they were very fun and festive.
My gf and I started off with the mojito and white sangria.
Both were very good.
The mojito was crisp and tart with a touch of sweetness.
The sangria was sweet and fruity (much fruitier than other sangrias we've had), but well balanced.
We started with the salad and beef empanadas.
The salad was light and acidic with a balsamic vinaigrette.
The empanadas were cooked perfectly.
Crispy on the outside, soft and tender inside.
The beef filling was flavorful and savory.
It came with a delicious crema sauce that would have made anything taste good.
We split the classic Cuban sandwich.
The shredded pork was flavorful and very juicy.
The ham was very good and the Swiss cheese added a creamy touch.
We finished off with the tres leches cake.
This was very good and not overly sweet or soggy.
A good balance of cake and milks.
The service was great too.
Quick but not rushed.
Our server was attentive even though she was busy.
I would highly recommend this place, but would suggest reservations.
And to be sat toward the back of the band is playing.

We are so happy we chose to eat here. The food is amazing and the drinks are delicious and the service was outstanding! The prices are also great and not what I expected for Times Square. The empanadas were delicious and you can get a flight of them to try a few at a time. The Cuban sandwich was great and the salad was as well. Absolutely worth the stop for a great meal and they have specials and happy hours so check the front desk when you get there to see what is happening!

I went here on Saturday August 17. The food and drinks were delicious ! I had never tried Cuban food before and I enjoyed it a lot!
The only thing I have to say what that it was a bit crowded and hard to walk through because there were so many people. Little space to walk through. But everything else was great really enjoyed coming here and I recommend it to everyone!

I’ve never had Cuban food before so I don’t have a comparison but as a first time experience this spot was great. We came in on a Sunday evening in which is a little busy but we were seated quickly as a group of 4 adults and two toddlers.
The staff was incredible. So friendly, attentive, and helpful when I needed some crayons for our kids to use on the coloring papers.
The food portions were perfect for one. The 12 and below portions blew me away; they were similar to our portions which was awesome because our kids were hungry!!
Flavor was good, we really enjoyed our meal.

I’ll start by saying that I usually never leave reviews . But Oceana deserves all the stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I found this place by accident when I looked for a pre Broadway birthday dinner for my mother in law . I’m so happy I did, because we had the best experience. I booked the table for 6pm on a Saturday on the same day. We were greeted by staff, they asked if we’re seeing any show after, they made sure they take care of us before we needed to head out for a show. All of the staff members were very attentive and kind. Sommelier for wine pairing painted pictures in my head when telling about beautiful regions that made my wine taste even better.
We were intrigued by the menu and wanted to try everything. So we went with 4 course chefs tasting menu. The portions were perfectly sized to be able to taste everything they bring. Every single meal and wine pairing was beyond this world!
Our kids couldn’t care about anything else than pasta and pizza, which they happened to have on their kids menu. It was a nicely prepared food, unlike anywhere else where they don’t put effort into kids meals.
. It was also refreshing to be in a place with a good family sized tables, where it’s not too dark, loud and crowded unlike anywhere in NYC. Perfect for a family dinner to enjoy a dinner conversation with loved ones. I would go back every day if I could , couldn’t recommend more! Thank you!❤️

We booked for 5pm in order to make our Broadway showtime. The maitre d', sommelier and service staff were all very attentive and efficient in getting us seated, served and out the door on time. We tried our seafood fried, raw and roasted. So good.

The food was excellent, but the service was disappointing. The servers were too busy, and we had to wait 40 minutes just to place our order. Even though there were plenty of empty tables in the main area, we were told a reservation was required. So, we had to make a reservation on the spot. If you plan on going on a Saturday night, be sure to reserve in advance.

The hanger steak medium rare is cooked to perfection. The oysters are fresh. The olive oil cake was delicious! Even the complimentary bread is excellent. Had a great time. Service is excellent.

This is my favorite dinner spot between Broadway shows. The food and service are impeccable, and the location is so convenient. Oysters from the raw bar make a great start to your meal, and there is a prix fixe menu available. You can’t go wrong with whatever you order.

I feel super grateful to have the wonderful dinner with Superman!
The lamb was incredibly tender, and the clam chowder was creamy and delicious. We chose a very healthy Spanish dish, and it was absolutely yummy.
Thank you for the memorable experience!
And there is a bar outside of the dinning room. Highly recommend if you prefer fine dinning at the quiet environment.
10/10 rating.

This place was recommended for our anniversary dinner and it did not miss. The young lady that took our reservation was great and she took time to decorate our table for dinner.
Our server Ray from NJ was awesome and made sure we were taken care of during our dinner.

There for pharmaceutical presentation; host at the entry professional & humorous! MaîtreDean and waiters were at their best very accommodating and the food was excellent. I had the Sea Bass as I am a seafood lover, but don’t take my word for it go explore the venue yourself! Thank you to THE CAPITAL GRILLE 💋

A bit overpriced but much nicer than other restaurants. We had a lovely time and our waiter Tony was amazing. The steak we asked for was medium rare and it was a bit too cooked (more like medium to medium well, not red in the center anymore) but we hate to send steaks back as we know they simply throw those out. Otherwise, the taste and flavors were simply fantastic. Would visit again for an occasion!
