Just popped in randomly after having walked by this place for a few years. I have to say, the food is absolutely delicious and even a good value (harder to find these days). They had decent vegan options as well.

Average Chinese restaurant. There could be better options in Manhattan.
The squid is not crispy enough. Overall the dishes are spicy enough but not really tasty.

I come to this place pretty often for lunch, they have very good deal for lunch specials. And, tonight I had a great time with my friend. We tried out the new seasonal menu. The crispy squid definitely one of my favorite, it is spicy but not crazy spicy. Strongly recommend this dish especially if you are drinking alcohol. I think it will be a good choice. The milk custard is so creamy, I was told that it’s made out of buffalo milk. Very simple but I am loving this dessert.

I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food is super authentic Chinese, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The fish dish, topped with green onions, was especially delicious – cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The other dishes we tried were tasty, with a nice balance of spices that made everything feel genuine and satisfying.
The delivery was quick, and the prices are extremely reasonable, especially for Midtown Manhattan. The staff was friendly and made us feel comfortable from the start. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for anyone looking for authentic Chinese food without breaking the bank. I’ll definitely be back.
Recommend dishes: 葱花鱼,干锅牛蛙,爆炒腰花

My partner and I came for Valentine’s Day and had an AMAZING time. We are from out of town & looking for food while shopping and this was the perfect place. Our favorite part was the service, a 10000/10. The food was also amazing, and they made their Singapore noodles less spicy for my partner upon request. I would highly recommend.

Getting a reservation at Keens the day before was tough, but we managed to snag a late 8:30 PM slot. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar while we waited. The bar was packed—standing room only, and finding a seat was impossible. Fortunately, they were able to seat us about 30 minutes early, which was a nice surprise.
Keens is housed in a historic building with an old-school New York charm. The ceilings were lined with the largest collection of smoking pipes in the world, adding to the restaurant’s unique character.
Once seated, the service was quick and efficient. We ordered a mix of classics to share: the famous mutton with mint jelly, the prime porterhouse for two (medium-rare), creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, and grilled seasonal vegetables. Before the food arrived, they brought out a big basket of bread (which we didn’t try) and a plate with huge carrot chunks—oddly cut and hard to eat—along with some pickles and olives.
The food itself was incredible. The porterhouse was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and exactly medium-rare. The mutton lived up to its reputation, and all the sides complemented the meal perfectly.
Keens is definitely a must-visit for steak lovers, just be prepared for the crowds!

In a place that has been around since 1885, you can see Theodore Roosevelt’s and Babe Ruth’s Smoking Pipes among many others. Famous for the great Mutton Chop and the Prime Porterhouse, many personalities have come to be delighted. Delicious creamed spinach and hand cut fries are a nice meal complement. Leave space for the iconic homemade Carrot Cake. Service is very professional and the ambiance is classic steakhouse. Highly recommended!

Keens Steakhouse is an absolute must for steak lovers in New York City🫑🥗🥩🥓🍻🍾Please make a reservation earlier unless you have to wait a long line haha. From the moment you step in, the atmosphere takes you back in time with its classic, old-school charm. The history of the place, with its walls lined with pipes and memorabilia, adds to the unique experience.
The steaks are exceptional—cooked to perfection, tender, and bursting with flavor. I had the famous mutton chop, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The side dishes are equally impressive, with everything from creamed spinach to mashed potatoes perfectly complementing the main course.
The service is top-notch, with attentive staff making sure your dining experience is seamless and enjoyable. It’s a bit pricey, but definitely worth it for the quality of food and the overall experience.
If you’re in the mood for a hearty, memorable meal in NYC, Keens Steakhouse should be at the top of your list.

Outstanding meal at this old school powerhouse that is often in any publication’s Top-10 Best Steakhouse lists! Even at opening at 11:45am the place filled up within an hour. Service was top notch throughout. T-bone steak was huge at approx. 22 oz. and the plate of perfectly fried fries could have fed an army. The Key Lime pie (with grated lime zest on top) was one of the best I’ve ever had! Super creamy and just the right amount of tang allowing that sweetness to cut through.
Keens absolutely lived up to all the hype and I would most definitely like to return again!!

Keens Steakhouse delivered an exceptional customer experience. Julia and her team were incredibly helpful with my reservations, ensuring all my needs were met.
When we arrived there on the day of dinner,
Mr. Ira's wine expertise was invaluable, guiding us towards the perfect bottle to complement our meal. And our waiter, Wes, provided impeccable service, offering expert recommendations for both appetizers and dinner.
We indulged in a dozen oysters, a delightful salad, and three exquisite appetizers. For the main course, we sampled a variety of steaks to savor the diverse flavors. Every dish was a masterpiece, from the presentation to the taste.
The ambiance at Keens is truly captivating, and the service is unparalleled. This is not a place for a quick meal; it's an invitation to savor the moment, to linger over cocktails and fine wine, and to fully appreciate the exquisite dining experience.
I highly recommend Keens Steakhouse to anyone seeking an unforgettable culinary journey.

Okay, so the drinks are made well, that's important. The beer is cold and the drinks are strong. The food was effin' delicious. Try the sliders, they will not disappoint. But the crown jewel is the people. Everyone was super sweet. From the bartender to the waitresses, they were the nicest of nice. I would go there again.

We visited restaurant on Sunday. It’s pretty empty which is good for us so we can relax. Food is really good! We absolutely love it. We order dozen of oysters, chicken wings, chicken pot pie, and apple pie ( really recommend; not too sweet, just right amount of sweetness) all were very tasty.
Shout out for my 2 lady servers. They are super busy cause they must have covered the whole restaurant just two of them. They were very friendly and service-minded ( Sunday, Aug 25).
Would come back again.

Gotta be honest here, the food is just ok, especially for the price. If you are looking for a bite before or after a show at MSG there are better options nearby. Fries were served cold, pretty hard. Drinks and food are a little bland, considering the price of food in this area, you can find better options. What they do offer is a very extensive beer menu and a fun atmosphere.

Been wanting to come here for a since they moved a couple of years ago. Their old space, now called Chili, has a lot of the same dishes. My favorite there is Mr and Mrs Smith. Curiously named, I thought, until I came to Cafe China and saw the exact same dish called Husband and Wife Special.
Instead I ordered the smoked tofu cold dish. Lots of spicy oil and numbing peppercorns. Could use some more peanuts and scallions in the dish but still tasty.
The Spicy Fish was fried, and comes with lots of dried red peppers, cilantro and 2 limes. Delicate flavor and lightly fried.
The tea program is on point. This oolong tastes like a 2nd batch from a high mountain plantation. Very good

I’ve been coming to Café China for years, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently great. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever ordered something I didn’t like here.
The scallion pancakes, in particular, were a standout on my most recent visit — perfectly crispy, flaky, and packed with flavor.
Overall, just a reliably great spot that continues to deliver.

Delicious and filling! Would go back.
We had a reservation and were promptly seated. Ordering was smooth, drinks were delicious, food flavorful and filling, and service was attentive. Since it’s family style, the split among four people landed us about ~$30-50 before tip. Space is pretty big for the location but you need a reservation for most days since it’s smack middle of midtown. Highly recommend!

Favorite Chinese restaurant by far!! My Chinese friend brought me here for the first time because of its authentic Chinese cuisine. It’s not Americanized if you will. Simple decor, very attentive service and delicious, wide selection menu. While my company enjoyed many meat dishes, I am vegetarian and had plenty of options to select from as well. Definitely recommend. Restaurant has multiple floors, nice bar and clean bathroom.

As a passionate foodie marketer, I always appreciate a restaurant that delivers not just great food but also a strong, authentic identity. 더큰집 does exactly that.
The food here is refreshingly balanced—not overly sweet, just clean, well-executed flavors that highlight the essence of Korean cuisine. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, offering a refined yet comforting experience. The ambiance and service complement the quality of the food, making it a place worth returning to.
If you’re looking for a spot that stays true to the heart of Korean flavors without unnecessary frills, this is it. Highly recommend!

Was lucky to walk in and get a table almost without much waiting on Monday night. The grilled short ribs tasted amazing and the portion size was very decent (think there were a total of 10 pieces). The tofu stew was lovely as well, which we found rather comforting and went super well with rice. The seafood pancake was crispy and savory.

This place has pretty solid Korean bbq, but I wish it was cheaper and there isn’t a lot of variety in the kinds of meat you can get. The pan Chan is very good, especially the greens that you get. Personally I prefer cooking the meat myself but I don’t mind that they have staff do it, although I will not they are not very conversational. They also have really nice fluffy rice!

Lunch on New Years Day. My wife ordered Duk Mandooguk for good luck and I ordered Dobdol Bibimbop. Both dishes were very taste. They give you lots of delicious small dishes to start. It is a really busy place. BBQ is mainly upstairs but there was a long line waiting. We ate downstairs where it is rather crowded with tables very close together. Not much atmosphere but food is delicious.
The bathroom is old but clean.

Just finished my dinner with my old friends. Some staffs were extremely friendly but some were totally opposite, particularly senior servers controlling other junior staff. I would say, don’t expect too much such as authentic Korean style kindness originated from their heart. Not worth to pay around 300 dollars for 5 people to get such a medium quality Korean food with inappropriate services.

This is a very loud bar with TV screens on the walls playing sports. The music is very loud. If you want a place to chat with friends without shouting, this isn’t the spot. The interior is fun. The salmon, mashed potatoes, and sautéed vegetables is very basic but good. No sauces accompany the dish. The server called me hun and mama. It’s a place for groups to drink and nosh on shared plates.

This is the spot for my office. A bar with legit food. Huge portion with a very reasonable price, and very delicious!!! I love their pulled pork nachos. The best. They are always extremely patient with my colleagues who have different kinds of food allergies and restrictions. My husband loved their Cajun burger - it’s ridiculously big with waffle fries. We always go for their happy hour for $10 mules. Perfect spot for lunch or relaxing time after work! The only downside is that they seem always short staffed. Don’t get me wrong - they all work very hard, running around and doing everything. As a result, we do often need to wave our arms hard to get our waitress’s attention.

Went to this place for dinner on a weekend. The place got a decent atmosphere and ambience. We tried their seafood hot pot and vegetarian hot pot. Had original makgeoli and hot stone bulgogi. It is simple but classic Korean dishes with good flavor. Makgeoli is smooth, it is served in a clay pot. The side dishes (free refills) and complementary tofu are great. This place is very busy but service is good and side dishes kept us busy before main dish arrive.
Waited about an hour on Saturday night, will revisit if wait time isn’t long.

The food here is really good. They serve a lot of tofu based dishes and all orders come with side dishes. There was a slight wait during lunch time, I waited 15mins for a table of one(table top divider was used for privacy) on a weekday. The lunch combo deal is a great way to try multiple dishes, portion is excellent and the prices are reasonable. I got the spicy pork and tofu and the seafood tofu stew. Very moderate spice level if that is a concern. You should not expect to sit for hours as there’s a constant line out of the door and the atmosphere is loud and crowded in a good way.

No better way to spend ~$20 on lunch! I came in on a Tuesday and waited 20 min to be seated for one. They had a good system where I would be texted when it was my turn, so I browsed some shops while I waited.
The food was so delicious and plentiful and the warm barley tea was lovely. I had the combo A lunch special which came with beef bulgogi, spicy vegetable tofu stew, lots of refillable (!) side dishes, and a sample of their homemade tofu. I also ordered the eggplant rice but I barely touched it and had to pack it for home because the special was so filling.
The servers were super nice and attentive, despite how busy the place was. I can’t wait to come back!

My husband surprised me with a birthday celebration @ Ai Fiori. We were here 2 years ago for my birthday and I can definitely say we loved the experience better this time around overall. They have an excellent roster of chef this time around that makes mouthwatering dishes! Must try: crab pasta, lobster bisque, duck, halibut, apple dessert and chocolate coffee cake, even their gelato is good! Will definitely be back more often!

My husband made a reservation for dinner on my birthday, and we had the chef’s tasting menu. Everything was absolutely delicious! I'm usually sensitive to the smell of lamb and don’t often seek it out, but the lamb chops here were incredible. The hamachi sashimi melted in my mouth, and the halibut was perfectly tender with a refreshing sauce.

Bad
The place is over crowded (it’s understandable because this place is popular) and the microwave is located just right on the enter (I want to warm my food but its so uncomfortable to stand where people keep passing by- and next to the trash can)
Some food is not worth it (like the zucchini, its soft and cold)
Most food is cold, but its hard to reheat for the above reason
The queue is long, really really long 😭
Good
The price is overall cheap for this area
They have sitting place (45mins maximum- but better than none)
The food is okay, there are many options to choose at least
If you are at the neighborhood, can’t choose what to eat and can’t afford luxury restaurants with tips- its a nice comfy place. But I think its overhyped and the quality does not meet. The owner should do better to handle such large amount of customer like now. I will come back only during week days. I hope they can improve the microwave area 🫤

As a Flight Attendant, you often have to pick from a group of words if you want to eat on layover and didn't have time to meal prep. Fast/affordable/healthy/easy/nearby/variety, you often only get to pick two.
I'm so happy that I found a place in downtown NY that meets all of these categories. The food was delicious, the selection was wide, lots of healthy options, quick, and didn't break my wallet before payday. You can eat in or take away, microwaves are available to heat up the food, and even later at night there was a great selection and people bringing fresh product out. I easily found everything I needed for myself and my crew and was able to rush back to my hotel and feed them after a long day of flying.
The people who work there are exceptional, very kind and welcoming. I want to especially say thank you to Rue, who was super sweet, and so nice to talk to. She was thorough and friendly, and very kind.
I look forward to my next layover in NYC, because I will absolutely be coming back and bringing my crew with me next time so we can share a meal in the store.

*for vegetarian people*: not recommended. mostly has beef related stuff, or fish sauce or oyster sauce. there is only one thing that doesn’t have that according to staff (it was out of stock).
food: can’t rate it. i went twice. first time i ate it thinking the stuff that says vegetable or tofu is fully veggie. it’s not. i was very sad to find out on my second visit. i neglected to ask the first time and it was my mistake. i think they need to label it better with ingredients :(( i am not allowed to have beef and i was so sad to find out most stuff has artificial beef flavoring and when we asked if thats veggie, they checked and said no
:(( on our second visit, i made a mistake purchasing food first and then inquiring (honestly i only inquired bc my partner raised a concern about it otherwise i was ignorant). found out all this after purchasing, so it wasn’t only money wasted but sad i had what i am not supposed to. i highly suggest better labeling for ease!
vibe/experience: nice space with good lighting and ambiance. you take what you want from the racks of prepared meals, pay, and warm them up in the microwave. it’s a cute concept. they are freshly made at the location.
prices: reasonable for the portion sizes. expect to spend approximately $12-15 to be full! but the good thing is, you don’t need to spend all that if you’re not that hungry!!!
service: it’s pretty much self-serve but people at the register are nice and active if you need help. i guess i would take some off here because if it’s lunch box style, i think better labels would equate to better service for me.
overall, i would recommend this place for people without dietary restrictions however, definitely would not to those who are strict vegetarians (also who can’t have cow-based products). it’s a cute concept!

Brought the family here after a trip to Santaland. Food was good! I wish the portions were a little more but I won’t complain because I want to lose weight before my next trip. I loved the butternut squash pasta…. I should have ordered two to fill me 😂.
Love how our seat had a view of the Empire State Building….

Went there for Drag Brunch with friends! I looked at a few reviews of the place beforehand and was worried about the food as most people said it wasn’t great at all. I got the avocado toast and was pleasantly surprised, it came with a side salad and was pretty good! A bit bland, but nothing that salt and pepper couldn’t fix. The bread was quite hard though, and I couldn’t cut it with my knife and fork.
Bottomless mimosas were great though!
And Drag Brunch was the best!! The vibes and the energy were amazing, the drag kings were just so great, I had the most fun ever.

I love this restaurant because it represents a cosy/peaceful spot in midtown; where I can stop and feel good, having a nice meal or snack with kind service.

Love and hate at the same time. My hiding spot in NYC. Quiet and relaxing. Cocktail is only so-so/ bad. Well, I made it better at home. Did not order food last time.. Price is high. $19 for so-so cocktail, plus tax plus tips. End up $26 a drink...... I know it is NY, but.... If the environment is good, I will not come again
