5 Star Rating The original location is a great place to visit if the weather is nice. You can sit outside and enjoy an excellent view of the flat iron building and surrounding area. The food was excellent. It can be a little slow depending on the time of day but otherwise this is one of the best location around for this franchise. Still not crazy about their fries, though haha

5 Star Rating We dined here for Valentine’s Day, and the restaurant went above and beyond in both service and creating a romantic atmosphere. The prix fixe seasonal menu offered thoughtful choices for each course, and everything we tried was fantastic. The standout dish for me was the caraflex cabbage—it was exceptional. Our server, Mike, truly elevated the experience. He was welcoming, patient, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. While the food was outstanding, what I’ll remember most is the warmth and hospitality of the staff. It was a truly special evening.

5 Star Rating It's been about a decade since we've been here, and it's just as good now as it was the first time we came. While we were happy with all of our dishes, the complimentary bread it actually what we'll remember about this meal. It was so fluffy and tasty! I got the dark chocolate cake dessert and my favorite part was the candied chestnut. I could eat a whole bowl of those - so good. The service was also good - friendly and helpful; but not stuffy.

5 Star Rating Delicious from start to end. Celebrated our anniversary tonight and wanted to have a memorable dinner. The Dining Room at GT hit all of our wants: charming homey atmosphere. We were old ladies and came for the 5pm seating - it was quiet in the dining room (packed in the tavern). Our sever Mary Beth felt like an old friend, finding shared stories while ensuring we felt celebrated and were satisfied with our meal. All five courses were inventive and tasty yet the spiked hot chocolate may have been my favorite. A special night had at the GT!

2 Star Rating Tried the Restaurant Week menu. Nothing outstanding that I would really remember. But worst thing first, the duck had a weird taste, so gross that I had to spit it out on the plate. It just didn’t taste right, and I don’t know if the duck was sick or if it hadn’t been stored properly and went bad. Also not sure if Gramercy Tavern is aware of this because apparently, the dish has now been removed from the updated menu. On that note, I also feel that the menu design needs some more work. The restaurant week is offering a mandatory three-course meal, but some of the dishes suffice on their own and becomes too overwhelming when served with other dishes. (That said, large serving size in most other cases is a pro.) I also want to point out that the service is unbearably slow. We arrived at the restaurant at the reservation time, waited 10 minutes to be seated, and another 10 to receive some water and the menu. There was endless wait between courses, and you won’t really get service unless you aggressively wave at someone. The whole lunch ended up taking about 2 hours.

5 Star Rating We have been at Gramercy Tavern several times, both the Tavern and the Dining Room, and both are consistently great. The food is always delicious and well-cooked, though once they didn’t ask how we wanted the beef, and it came out well-done instead of rare. That said, their service has always been top-notch—thoughtful, accommodating, and even considerate of our anniversary. They handle delays gracefully, offering drinks while we waited. Overall, it’s a spot we happily return to every time we visit NYC!

3 Star Rating Okay, here it is…After spending the money we did, I would love to say we loved it, but that's not the case. The hospitality is wonderful. The food is good but the level of salt made it very difficult to enjoy it. We wish we knew ahead of time that the salt was the main ingredient we would have asked to hold it 1/2 way. We loved many dishes but could not enjoy them fully due to that. It mad us sad. We waited a long time to go due to $$$$. I wish I could go back and ask to hold the salt to actually enjoy it. Unfortunately, I will not be recommending.

5 Star Rating It was a F A N T A S T I C dining experience. Thanks for this amazing dinner. AMBIENCE: very elegant. A former insurance, a lobby inside this building with high ceilings and a giant blue painting which is in the center of the restaurant. Very elegant atmosphere. SERVICE and KITCHEN STAFF: Impeccable. Exceptional and fantastic. The waiters maintain a very precise order when serving the dishes.. we had the opportunity to be chosen to visit the kitchen and all the staff and the work that goes into creating these culinary creations that are divine. Kitchen was damn clean!! Wow. All the people who work for the chef in the kitchen do an exceptional job. Chef is a genius to create this vegan kitchen. FOOD was truly delicious even though it was vegan and it was our first experience it was a really positive, fantastic experience that I will definitely repeat.

5 Star Rating Had the absolute best food experience here. The food and meals were absolutely phenomenal. I am incredibly impressed with the quality and flavors of all the dishes here. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great. We went for lunch and it was very relaxed and the building it is in was stunning. The service we received we received from Anthony, Josh, Oswaldo was great. They were very informative about the menu, food, ingredients. Chloe gave us a tour of the kitchen and was kind enough to take a photo. They also have a Manhattan cart where they make your drink of choice right there. Isiah was phenomenal and gave us great recommendations on the subtle differences with the ingredients of each drink. They also gave us some fresh made granola as a nice little treat. Definitely will be back when we are in town and absolutely obsessed with this place and what they’ve done.

4 Star Rating Dining at Eleven Madison Park is always a unique experience. Although the vegan food did not impress, the staff were amazing and the atmosphere romantic, even though there were constant movement of staff since we sat close to the Kitchen opening. I have to say that we expected way more of the food of a 3 Stars Michlen restaurant. Except the Avocado and the fried Mushrooms, most of the food tasted similar and there wasn't even once that we were wowed by the food. I don't think this experience is worth the money, unfortunately.

4 Star Rating We dined here a few weekends ago for dinner and the food was different from the usual Lebanese restaurants that I’m used to. The cocktails were good but we had to swap one of them out because it was too sour. Calamari had a different style and taste but was enjoyable. Very loud and lively ambiance and service was somewhat attentive. We did have to try and locate our waiter to mention the cocktail. Overall it was a decent experience but nothing to rave about. I do plan to visit again to check out the bar.

The coffee was pretty average coffee pot fare. The service was good as expected from an upscale establishment. 4 Star Rating I’ve been a fan since they opened on 16th St. First return since 2021, when I had a terrific meal. Unfortunately, this visit was rather uneven. It was a Restaurant Week lunch. First thing, we were assigned to what is arguably the worst table in the restaurant, upper mezzanine next to the service counter. Loud and unpleasant. A little bit confusing since the restaurant was about half empty. Our server was attentive and warm, kept the warm bread coming. However, the runner spilled garlic chili oil on the table (and my glasses) carelessly and didn’t even notice or clean it up. And her demeanor was kind of unwelcoming. Oysters were a bit of a miss. The Brussels salad was pretty good, nice blend of textures and flavors. I had the malfadine pasta, quite tasty and filling. We shared the Apple cake for dessert, the gelato was good, but the cake was another miss, heavy (overdone?) and lacking apple flavor. Overall, surprisingly disappointed with our experience.

3 Star Rating The quality and service had gone down a lot. Steak tartar no longer served table side and taste off (too much caper and not enough seasoning). The artichoke is drenched in citrus. French onion soup and escargot is your average bistro taste - not bad but not excellent. Horrible service, won't bother to fill your water and had to ask for bread (for the escargot) and came so late it got cold.

4 Star Rating Very nice Italian pasta restaurant (by Tom Coliccio from Food Network's Top Chef) with a relaxing & inviting setting in the flatiron district. We tried two appetizers and three pasta selections (there's only a few vegetarian options so we replaced sausage for anchovies in one dish), and all were good. Would not recommend the wine & pasta special as the house wines weren't up to the quality of the pasta. Service was very good.

5 Star Rating We had a wonderful experience at Vallata on Saturday night, celebrating some personal successes among our group. We arrived about 30 mins early to have a drink at the bar, but opted to be seated and begin our evening a table directly in front of the open kitchen- perfect for our night (thank you to the hostess). By the time me and and my wife received our first round of Forst Italian Pilsner and a rosé for her, we had met three members of the staff (Christian got us started with amazing service) and we recognized that this restaurant had, quite possibly, the best music mix of any location we had dined and recently. Our friends arrived and drinks kept coming. We coursed our own meal out, which was so nice to be allowed to do so. We started with Whipped Ricotta and Arancini, both were our favorites of the evening. Arancini was better than what we had in Rome, while admittedly a different style. Our guests shared a cacio e pepe for a main, while I ordered the Paccheri with Fennel Sausage and Broccoli Rabe. Mine was was slightly undercooked below al dente, too chewy, but delicious flavor. My wife’s delicious steak arrived about 6 minutes after our pastas arrived, which was slightly disappointing, as we all chose to wait. En lieu of ordering dessert I explored down the beer list further, ordering the Baladine and Del Ducato IPAs. I love the Italian beer portfolio from B United but have found the hops offered on draft to move beyond earthy into oxidized and sherry like. This isn’t unique to this location. The “American Style IPA” tasted great, as the alcohol content masks the slightly sweet hop atrophy. All in all, an incredible and wonderfully hospitable time at Vallata and we can’t wait to return… and try some dessert next time.

4 Star Rating Craft was a great experience. I can see why the restaurant is highly regarded. Being solo I tried a variety of dishes! I started out with a crudo I was really excited because I love a crudo. It was so colorful and beautiful. After taking a bite I did have to stop. So I wasn’t asked about dietary restrictions (not a requirement) on the menu the crudo did not specify grapefruit - if it was on there I wouldn’t have ordered it. However the staff was really accommodating and brought an arugula salad as an alternative. The scallops were really my favorite. So fresh, and scallops had this wonderful vermouth butter. The potatoes were whipped and creamy. They were a great add to the scallops. The pasta was really good. Borderline salty, but still delicious the crab and the nduja was delicious. The portions were great and the quality was good. Overall a recommend.

3 Star Rating Was really looking forward to eating here. Unfortunately, it just did not deliver like we had hoped. On a positive note, the service was amazing. Our waiter, Austin, was top-notch. Very friendly and amazingly attentive. The food is served family style, so we all got to try several different things. We had the Risotto and Octopus for starters. Both were decent but not overwhelmingly flavorful. For the main course, we had the Rohan Duck and the strip steak. Very disappointing. Really lacked flavor and was in desperate need of something. Perhaps a little bit of salt. Steak was also very tough. Sauces that came with it were also not very flavorful. We had the gold rice and potato puree for the sides. Potato puree was probably my favorite thing I ate. We had the chocolate souffle for dessert. Honestly, I just tasted like a brownie that I could make at home. Overall, for the amount of money you spend to eat there, just underwhelming and not what we were hoping for.

4 Star Rating Came here for dinner, ordered the beef stroganoff and lamb shank. I just want to start by saying the food can be a little heavy and it is very filling; not a bad thing! Got full very quickly and took some home as leftovers and it was just as good reheated up. The beef stroganoff was delicious; it was served with buckwheat which tasted amazing by itself but even better when mixed with sauce. The lamb shank just slid off the bone. Absolutely delicious but I wished there was a bit more sauce. Service was good; it was very very busy that night so it was a little too crowded. All in all, I highly recommend this place for Eastern European cuisine.

5 Star Rating My friends from Los Angeles recommended we visit Mari Vanna, a Russian cuisine restaurant, and we were absolutely delighted with the experience. My husband and I are big fans of Russian and Georgian food, so we made sure to try some of the classic dishes. We had Olivier salad, herring under a fur coat, tongue with horseradish, and borscht. From the Georgian menu, we ordered khinkali and khachapuri, accompanied by two glasses of red wine. Our friends opted for beef Stroganoff and shashlik. Every single dish was absolutely delicious, just like a meal at a traditional Russian grandmother’s house. The festive Christmas and New Year atmosphere added a special charm to the experience. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, cozy, and playing Russian music, which made it feel even more authentic. Our server (unfortunately, I don’t recall her name) was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. As for the prices, for New York City, I’d say they are fairly reasonable. The total for our meal for four came to around $400. Of course, in Russia, these dishes would cost significantly less, but for NYC, this felt normal and worth the experience. I highly recommend Mari Vanna! Advance reservations are a must, but their booking system works seamlessly, and you can easily reserve a table through the link on their website. If you’re looking for a cozy, authentic Russian dining experience in New York, this is the place to go!

5 Star Rating A fantastic experience! Fresh, seasonal food, passionate and knowledgeable staff members who put their hearts into their work all in a beautiful old English setting. We also appreciated the menu options that were a mix of traditional meat dishes but also many vegetarian dishes too! Thoroughly impressed and will be back!

5 Star Rating I was truly impressed with the brunch menu selection at "Friend of the Farmer"—there were so many tempting options that it made choosing quite a challenge! I went with the boomers (blueberry pancakes), and it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is something special, and the service was impeccable. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for brunch. I absolutely love it!

5 Star Rating We had the Terry Ann chicken and toasted squash crostini, which I felt were exemplars of down-to-earth, quality culinary innovation. I really enjoyed the touch of stuffed Granny Smith in the Terry Ann chicken, which gave the breast an extra juiciness that’s often lacking in chicken breast dishes. Fantastic freshness with the squash on the crostini, too, which was evidence of true farm-to-table ingredients. The dessert, which was a pumpkin bread ice cream sandwich, took a while to arrive but otherwise was quite nice and homey. I would have given the experience a total 5/5 had it not been for the rather dim environs, and the tables felt a bit squeezy too. But all in all, great food, unassuming vibes and cosy atmosphere - highly recommended!

5 Star Rating First of all the manager is amazing and runs the place like a well oiled machine! But in fact it is a charming cottage in the forest. But in fact it is in Gramercy Park. I wish there was a portal there and I could go to the place it came from. I wish I could eat their vegan pot pie and strawberry tea every day. My server was Antonio. We bonded and he made me feel special. I wrote him a poem after I had an incredible conversation with my dining companion, Sam Rad, a radically optimistic futurist you all should listen to. Thank you farmer for being my friend.

3 Star Rating This place was on my list to try for a while. The idea of farm to table hearty food was very appealing and I was hoping it was going to be great. Unfortunately, it wasn't amazing. It wasn't bad either. Just ok. The chicken pot pie was nice, but it didn't have much chicken in it, and was mostly vegetables. The barn burger had great potential. I could tell the quality of the meat. However it didn't have any seasoning at all, hence it was pretty much tasteless. I'm sure many of the brunch dishes will be good, just not these two. All in all I was dissapointed.
