The EdgeWalk at the CN Tower holds the Guinness World Record for the highest walk on the exterior of any building.

By its very nature , the EdgeWalk experience is thrilling and participants must be at least 13 years of age and in good physical condition. To participate in this exhilerating adventure you will put on a special jumpsuit and wear a harness attached to a track that allows you to not only walk around the ledge on the exterior of the tower, but to also lean out over the edge.

The complete experience lasts for 1.5 hours which includes between 20 and 30 minutes walking and hanging out on the outside ledge. Visitors are accompanied by expert guides and each receives a video, a printed photo of themself on the walk and a commemorative certificate. While not inexpensive, the EdgeWalk at the CN Tower will give you the memory of a lifetime and also includes a Tower Experience Ticket which gives you admission to the Himalamazon Motion Theatre Ride, the Legends of Flight 3D movie, the SkyPod, the Glass Floor and the Lookout. When you put it all together it's an amazing package.

The EdgeWalk is a seasonal attraction and is only available by advance booking. It is very popular so you should book well ahead of your vacation.

EdgeWalk at the CN Tower Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 Star Rating

4 Star Rating I booked this to surprise my husband during our day trip to Toronto. I was so excited to do this that I failed to mention the height to him. (He isn't a height person) I loved every second of this but for anyone that dislikes heights, this one may be a little out of your comfort. He made it but definitely stayed towards the middle of the CN needle the whole time. Once you are taken up, you can stay up there as long as you like but once you take the elevator back down, your ticket is done. There's a really nice looking restaurant and bar at the top, with stunning views(as seen). We didn't stay up there that long but I'm glad we did it and gained this experience! The gift shop is on the lower part of the CN tower and is huge!

5 Star Rating I did the EdgeWalk on a bright sunny day in the 1st week of April. It is the "World's Highest External Walk on a Building" (Guinness World Record), a full circle hands-free walk. The views of Toronto are spectacular. My timeslot was 1:00pm. I reached at 12:30pm. No need to wait in the general queue for the EdgeWalk ticket holders. They will give you a walksuit (and optional jacket). If your shoes don't have laces, they give shoes as well without any charge. They do provide lanyard for the eyeglasses. Except for the eyeglasses, everything else stays in the locker. Even the tiniest jewelery item. The staff put the harness on me. It's 100% safe. They check everything multiple times. Our guide Nayla was extremely nice. They explain everything in detail and the whole staff is super friendly. The whole video experience and 2 printed pics (One solo and One group) is included in the ticket price. Rest you can buy separately. Overall, I paid $200 for the ticket and $25 for additional pics, so a total of $225 + tax. The EdgeWalk itself is of around 30 mins but we got free at 2:30pm. So, keep 2 hours aside for the whole experience. You can use the EdgeWalk ticket to visit Skypod and observation level one time within 3 days of your ticket day. Enjoy and conquer your fears!!

5 Star Rating Edge Walk was AWESOME!!!! The experience was INCREDIBLE!!!! Highly recommended. Everyone was terrific, from the staff that checks you in, the team that preps you at the base station, to the guides that accompany you to the top of Toronto and escort you outside and around the Tower. I can't say enough good things about the entire experience.

5 Star Rating I had a fantastic time at Toronto's CN Tower Edge Walk. A thrilling experience, which, at 200 CAD is very reasonable for the experience one receives. There are several members of staff charged with your safety and it is made clear that a multitude of checks are being done to ensure that everything is visibly and demonstrably safe. The experience was both fun and exhilarating, and the views provided were pretty astonishing. It was especially amazing to watch a plane take off at Billy Bishop Airport, watching and waiting as it reached the same height as you - which took a surprisingly long amount of time! After the Edge Walk, one is given two physical photos and emailed a video, with the option to purchase more photos taken during the experience at a reasonable price, of which I took the team up on. I was also given a ticket to the Regular Viewing Platform as well as the Skypod, which was valid for 3 days after the experience. I opted to use it directly after embarking on the experience, as I was obviously in the area. In the main attraction, staff seemed a little less trained and the operation was a bit less professional, but this is a review for the EdgeWalk, not the general viewing experience. Based on the professionalism of the staff, the strong emphasis on safety and the thrilling nature of the experience itself, I give this attraction 5 stars.

5 Star Rating The EdgeWalk in Toronto is an extraordinary and adrenaline-pumping adventure located at the iconic CN Tower, one of the tallest freestanding structures in the world. This thrilling experience takes you outside the tower's main pod, where you get to walk on a narrow ledge that encircles the top of the tower, approximately 356 meters (1,168 feet) above the ground. Before the walk begins, you receive safety training and provide with a special suit and harness, ensuring your utmost safety throughout the activity. Trained guides accompany you every step of the way. Once you step outside and onto the ledge, you will witness breathtaking panoramic views of the beautiful city of Toronto and the sparkling waters of Lake Ontario. The experience typically lasts around 30 minutes, during which you'll have the opportunity to take in the scenery, take photos, and even try some thrilling leaning-back exercises, pushing your personal boundaries in a controlled and safe environment. The EdgeWalk is an excellent choice for thrill-seekers, adventure enthusiasts, and anyone looking to conquer their fear of heights. It's a bucket-list-worthy activity that guarantees an unforgettable and exhilarating memory of your visit to Toronto.
