Ok pho at a great location. So so and I can cook n better pho that here probably 😂 the broth normally is the key ingredient but here tasted very bland with no flavor but some smg in it. The beef oxtail was very chewy unfortunately and not cooked right. A bit disappointing. Location is great though 😅

Stopped in after 9p tonight to place a take out order. Service was efficient and food made promptly. The cold/fresh rolls are very well prices and full of fresh and crunchy veggies. Ordered a vermicelli/meat/fried spring roll comb and when I got it home the container was BURSTING with a ton of food - WOW! I was hungry and couldn't eat more than half of it. VERY good value for money and quick for times when you're hungry and just can't wait! I'd go back

The food here is usually great, rarely is something not good. We got the coconut shrimp & chicken soup and the pho with beef (rare) and some salad roles! They are also one of the few spots to carry Jumex (a delicious Mexican juice brand).
Prices are reasonable and the location is pretty spacious with a good amount of seating and a good view towards the street. Service could be a little friendlier overall.

The dishes were very tasty. 🤤
We had spaghetti with chicken and beef and rice with shrimp and pork. We also ordered smoothies, it's a pity that you can't add more than one fruit to a smoothie.

First time here for dinner. The place carries a heavy sense of nostalgia. Big bright space with huge paintings.
Firstly the staff are super friendly and professional with fantastic service. The location felt a bit empty.
We started with some cocktails. Their cocktails are very decent and the wine menu is priced well. We had appetizers and mains.
Their cocktails baked rolls were hot and fresh and went well with our snails. For mains we had Canard a l'orange and Lamb.
Sadly our mains were a little disappointing. For the price I was expecting a better quality of main, tough meat that was lacking flavour.
I’m a sting believer in supporting local business and would definitely want to see this place do well.

My dinner reservation at Bumpkin's was wonderful, fantastic food, impeccable service, cosy ambience and a lovely atmosphere.
Headed to the restaurant for an early dinner reservation as I had a broadway show after, with my expected 2 hours dining time...I was able to sit, relax and enjoy my dinner without feeling rushed in a cosy fireplace burning dining room with lovely decor.
My 3 course meal was well paced as I went for the prix fixe menu option....my hot cream of broccoli soup was delicious with warm bread, so was my lamb dish with roasted potatoes and veggies cooked to perfection and finish off with my favorite dessert tiramisu...wine was good and nicely chilled.
The service from my server was very professional and pleasant, everything well timed...as I do enjoy fine dining...this was one of the best...I'll definitely return to this restaurant in the future as it was everything I've hoped for...Highly recommend!

If you want a fancy night out, this is a great place. My partner said his French Onion soup was the best they've ever had! I ordered the chicken Marsala and my partner had the filet mignon for our main course and it was great, dessert was delightful and came with the freshest kiwi/strawberries. Our waiter was one of the co-owners and very friendly and quick to top up our drinks.

I was traveling to Toronto with my husband and friend for the first time and we stumbled upon this restaurant because it was close to our hotel. The food was absolutely fantastic, the prices were fair snd the service was very pleasant/excellent. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to have a more upscale dinner! We certainly will be coming back when we visit Toronto.

October 2023: Sunday dinner & craving pizza. Ordered delivery for 10 hot chicken wings, a Deluxe and the Napoletana (it has anchovies*.) * Hard to find these days.
Delivery was quick & polite, the pizzas were delicious & the wings were moist with just enough kick.
Nice of them to include a complimentary jar of their sauce in celebration of their 60th anniversary.
***
Previously: I weep for this generation as they will never have the pleasure of biting into a Pizza Nova veal sandwich of old. If it weren't for the bread, sauce and add ons of cheese, onions and mushrooms well, just see the pic. You get a thin piece of je ne sais quoi.
The Hawaiian slice was crisp and tasty, the Staff pleasant but seemed bored. To be expected working on a Holiday and with two customers in the whole place but you do have a paying job so be happy for that.
The restaurant is clean. The carpets need a good vacuum.
The wings, ordered hot were hot 🔥 and good enough to wake up the taste buds.
I just wouldn't go back for the veal.

EVERY time I get a pie out of this location it is literally PERFECT. I get the medium pepperoni, extra cheese, well done and it is ...well...perfect! I wanted to call you guys in person but I could only find the main number but I wanted to say thanks you guys! Best pizza ever. Every time.

I must say, this was the best panzerotti I've ever had. It was a crispy, golden delicious mess and I loved every single messy bite! The two main reasons why I enjoyed it so much was that it arrived hot and crispy; in the past, pazerotti's, usually arrive somewhat warm and soggy, not crispy at all. Secondly, it was jammed full of veggies, as you will see, below. I have never received a panzerotti so full of my chosen fillings, the veggies were tender crisp and fresh. They used the perfect amount of sauce and vegan cheese, too much vegan cheese isn't a good thing. I will definitely be ordering from this pizza joint again and again! Oh, BTW, the delivery guy was super nice, also! All in all, a great experience!

I tried an Ethiopian restaurant for the first time, and it really surprised me! I ordered their famous vegetarian bayaaynatu after reading some reviews, and it was super tasty. It was also my first time eating with my hands, which was a cool and different experience. We finished off with their coffee, which comes with popcorn on the side. The coffee was a bit pricey, but the whole thing was worth it because the host brought out smoke, and the whole experience felt really unique.

Delicious and authentic Ethiopian food. Good service too. Lots of decorations in the restaurant.
Centrally located. Will definitely be back here for my Ethiopian fix. Very tasty shiro.

Great place for authentic Ethiopian food. The ambience is a delight and the food a sheer treat. The mild taste keeps you wanting to continue eating. The injera bread, a kind of fermented softly rolled crepe is so smooth and spongy that it literally melts in your mouth. The only down side is that they do not offer any cutlery, which could be an incumbent to a few who do not quite enjoy using their fingers. However, the immersive experience is worth a try , and I did appreciate their determination to maintain authenticity. Great place with wonderful decor. Must try!!!!!

First time with a friend on a Thursday night. Poor guy had worked all day and was both thirsty and hungry. Food wise I order one of each. Pretty easy as there are only four items on the menu. Olives, spicy nuts, cheese board and Charcuterie platter. Nope on the cheese and nope on the Charcuterie. We don’t have those anymore. They didn’t sell and would go bad we are told. It’s going to be a short first time visit.
Olives, nuts and cocktails arrive in no time. Drink wise, nothing to complain about and the same goes for the olives. The nuts are bland and someone needs to put a minute or two into what “spicy nuts” are all about and I’m not talking about some Brazilian guy.
Looking around at this Boutique cocktail bar, I see ads for Tweed on the walls and guys in t-shirts and baseball caps sitting about…not that there’s anything wrong with that but you know, time and place…and an albeit pleasant but tobacco reeking waiter who takes the time to do stretches at the end of the bar showing off posterior skin with his little bum up in the air. Hmmm., drinks and a show but again, any aura of this joint being somewhat classy, premium or high-end…their own words…is thrown right out the window. Seven months ago a reviewer qualified the place as having and I quote: “a refined crowd.” Well Sir, you should have been here on our night and I’m sorry I missed yours.
But it’s all good. We are invited to come back in the new year when they’ll have Bruschetta on the menu. That’s slices of bread with chopped tomatoes in case you don’t know.
PS: Someone needs to spend 15 minutes and put little stickers over menu items you do not serve and possibly update your website. It’s the world we live in and many of your guests do take the time to read these entries.
So that was our first impression. Am I or are we going back? Probably as I base myself on the three strikes you're out system.

I was walking around the village looking for a place to get drinks for the night, and I settled on boutique bar as their patio looked lovely, and there wasn't a crowd of smokers outside. Bartender was efficient and friendly, and made an excellent old fashioned. I typically don't drink the more high end cocktails, but I enjoyed this one. The gentleman seated next to me at the bar took me in as I was solo, and I was grateful to experience such hospitality. Finally, to go out on a Saturday night and immediately be able to get a seat at the bar is always appreciated.

Typical pub food that can be underwhelming but not horrible. Service was pretty good even with what seems to be one person working two separate rooms. Moderately busy for a Tuesday evening. Good place to go to sit and chat. Very cozy and homey. Would come again!
Celine Yong - 5 months ago
Very laid back, just the kind of bar I like to frequent. No loud music; easy to chit chat with fellow drinkers on any topic under the sun, notably the US presidential debate. Nice collection of draft beers, very reasonably priced. Excellent location, just a 4 min walk to Bloor-Yonge subway station and away from the noise & traffic at the same time. My new favorite bar in Toronto. Didn't try any food or bar bites, just draft beer. I'll try the spacious looking outdoor seating next time.

The Artful Dodger Pub in Toronto left much to be desired. From the moment I stepped in, the ambience felt lackluster and uninspired. The decor seemed outdated, and the overall atmosphere failed to evoke the cozy charm expected from a traditional pub setting. Despite the dim lighting and rustic furnishings attempting to create an inviting environment, it fell short of expectations.
Moving on to the food, my experience was disappointing. The menu offered typical pub fare, but the execution left much to be desired. The dishes lacked flavor and finesse, presenting a mediocre culinary experience. From the appetizers to the main course, nothing stood out as exceptional or memorable.
However, where the Artful Dodger Pub excelled was in its service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating throughout my visit. Despite the shortcomings in other areas, the excellent service helped salvage the overall experience to some extent.
In conclusion, while the Artful Dodger Pub in Toronto may have friendly service, it fails to impress with its ambience and food offerings. For those seeking a memorable dining experience, this establishment may not be the most satisfying choice.

Great friendly staff Sorry I have to tell the truth.
Always great service Pizza, lasagna comes with garlic bread, favourite exceptional. They also have beer awesome. I believe they are the FIRST #1 Location to have beer ! We asked if they do not have a problem with you bringing in a Slurpee from 7-Eleven conveniently on the other side of the street. On a hot day. Cashier replied why not it’s a hot day, because my friend had started work at 5 AM hot sun all day got home and was thirsty with all that smog stay hydrated.P.S. always asked for extra sauce for lasagna. Well done if you’d like it. Love it enjoy !

Great pizza and friendly service! They sell pizza by the slice which is super convenient when you are on the go. They also heat it up in their oven prior to serving so it always tastes fresh. The best part is a slice costs the same as a coffee… so skip your morning coffee and get yourself a nice slice instead (or get both haha). Will come back!

Though it was a short visit, the little time spent was lovely with a varied menu, nice and clean, prices is good value as well...you wouldn't think much of it from the streets until you push the door and I was pleasantly surprised.
The greeting was welcoming...but all I needed was some hot soup which was delicious...before heading to the airport...will definitely try this restaurant fully next time in town...wish I had stumbled upon it sooner.

We visited Kothur Indian cuisine and were impressed from start to finish. The ambiance was trendy, and the service was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed dishes each beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The butter makhni stood out, cooked to perfection with a balance of flavors. Desserts were a treat, with being a highlight.
Though the prices are reasonable, the quality and experience made it worthwhile. Highly recommend for casual dining.

The food was amazing and the menu has such great variety. Accidentally got chicken tacos instead of fish tacos at first so check your meal when you get it! There was only one waiter and many tables were occupied so it wasn’t their fault for the mix up. Adding more servers would be beneficial to both business and for the customers.

The drink selection was pretty good. And the singers for the karaoke worth were amazing as was the host managing the karaoke. It was a bit loud for my personal taste

This is a very average pub restaurant offering your typical drinks and pub food at fairly good prices. We were a group of 8 and the waitress was quick and efficient, especially considering that it was busier than usual given the huge crowds in the area for Pride weekend. That being said, it's hard to get pub food wrong. My main issue with this restaurant is that the owner appears too cheap to want to renovate or maintain it. See the pictures attached; it's falling apart and is so outdated - not in a vintage or rustic kind of way. Anyhow it's an OK option if other bars in the area are busy, as was the case for us. But do NOT go out of your way to go here. I would only go here if all other options are closed in the area.
Raja Johnpulle - a year ago
Food was fine, but they wanted to charge me extra for mayo for my cheeseburger. I politely declined.
Service forgot about us, everything was slightly sticky and while we were there for karaoke, it hadn't materialized by the time we decided to leave. There wasn't a lot to keep us there any longer.
Weird place! Probably won't be back despite the ok food. Lots of places around with good-to-great food and less stickiness.

We needed a quiet place to discuss a work issue in detail while we ate, went to a small place we had a reservation for and it was packed to the gills and we couldn't hear ourselves think let alone get work done so we went for a walk and found the Fox basicallly empty. Never a great sign for decent food but we needed to talk so gave it a whirl. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff Nat who was fast with out orders and quite lovely.
I haven't had a good liver and onions for years and when asked about it she said it was really popular! which you never hear so we went for it and maaaan it was great! Tender and fried to perfection with a ton of potatoes and veg to follow. Beer was icey cold. Giver a try folks. If you're scared of liver, this is the place to have natures vitamin.

I recently visited The Halal Guys in downtown Toronto and was thoroughly impressed. The portions are generous, and the flavors are bold and satisfying. I tried the gyro and chicken platters—both were perfectly seasoned, tender, and served with fresh sides like lettuce and pita. The white and hot sauces added a delicious kick, making each bite exciting. The service was quick, and the food was served hot and fresh. If you're looking for a hearty, flavorful meal, The Halal Guys is a must-visit!

We were visiting from out of town and thought it would be nice to try this Halal Guys location. The food was fresh and the platter portion sizes were good. They were generous with the white sauce packets (it's understandable why this sauce is so famous). We also tried the falafel this time and were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be back again.
