They have vegan options like veggies broth, veggies noodles soup, veggies rolls etc. I like their tum yum soup noodles.
Pretty big restaurant. Not crowded when I went. Fast efficiency service. Fair price, just would suggest if they can provide bigger portion that will be better.
Recommend tum yum noodles soup and veggies fresh rolls.

This place always provides consistent quality and service.
The prices are reasonable, and their menu is full of delicious items.
The seafood pho is flavorful and packed with just the right amount of seafood, spices, and noodles.
Service is fast and friendly.

2025: Chicken, beef, shrimp dinner for a snowy Saturday night. Delicious.
2023: Such pleasant table service. Sitting by the window and enjoying the view while munching on a crispy shrimp roll and rare beef Pho. The raspberry cheese cake and coffee were a nice finishing touch.
2016: Where can you get a proper meal on Church Street for 10 dollars? Ginger is where.
OK so I added a shrimp roll but that bowl of beef Pho is large as in capital L large.
Casual setting. Order your meal at the counter, have a seat & you'll have your meal promptly delivered to your table.
Note the small stand by the entrance for self serve ice water, lime wedges, serviettes and various condiments.

The food here is usually great, rarely is something not good. We got the coconut shrimp & chicken soup and the pho with beef (rare) and some salad roles! They are also one of the few spots to carry Jumex (a delicious Mexican juice brand).
Prices are reasonable and the location is pretty spacious with a good amount of seating and a good view towards the street. Service could be a little friendlier overall.

My friends from the USA were here in T.o. and they found this place for dinner. It was fantastic - early on a Thursday evening, there was no body there, though people started walking in later. The food was delicious. A limited menu meant the chef could actually focus on the dish at hand - and the paella was AMAZING. Not to mention the really colorful decor, good wine, and the beautiful live music - they actually played a request for me!! The service was attentive and just in time - not hurried not delayed - just the right amount of time between courses. It was a perfect evening. Definitely try it out!!

I really enjoyed this place. It's not fast service, expect to spend more than an hour here... relax, enjoy a pitcher of sangria, and then chow down on arguably one of the best paella's in town. It's somewhat "hidden" location makes it that much more cozy, romantic, and special and the interior is certainly reminiscent of decorations you would see in a small Spanish town. Enjoy!

Amazing food and service! Not sure why there aren't many people who come here. The owner of the store is very attentive to dietary restrictions. Paella is made fresh with a lot of ingredients and kept warm in a hot Paella pan. Highly recommended.

First time here for dinner. The place carries a heavy sense of nostalgia. Big bright space with huge paintings.
Firstly the staff are super friendly and professional with fantastic service. The location felt a bit empty.
We started with some cocktails. Their cocktails are very decent and the wine menu is priced well. We had appetizers and mains.
Their cocktails baked rolls were hot and fresh and went well with our snails. For mains we had Canard a l'orange and Lamb.
Sadly our mains were a little disappointing. For the price I was expecting a better quality of main, tough meat that was lacking flavour.
I’m a sting believer in supporting local business and would definitely want to see this place do well.

My dinner reservation at Bumpkin's was wonderful, fantastic food, impeccable service, cosy ambience and a lovely atmosphere.
Headed to the restaurant for an early dinner reservation as I had a broadway show after, with my expected 2 hours dining time...I was able to sit, relax and enjoy my dinner without feeling rushed in a cosy fireplace burning dining room with lovely decor.
My 3 course meal was well paced as I went for the prix fixe menu option....my hot cream of broccoli soup was delicious with warm bread, so was my lamb dish with roasted potatoes and veggies cooked to perfection and finish off with my favorite dessert tiramisu...wine was good and nicely chilled.
The service from my server was very professional and pleasant, everything well timed...as I do enjoy fine dining...this was one of the best...I'll definitely return to this restaurant in the future as it was everything I've hoped for...Highly recommend!

Pizza Nova offers a solid pizza experience at a reasonable price. I recently visited and tried their combo deal, which included two pizzas of my choice for around $20. Given the price, I wasn’t expecting anything extraordinary, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pizzas were fresh, well-made, and had a good balance of toppings and cheese. The crust was just the right mix of crispy and soft, making for an enjoyable bite.
The place itself was decent—nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable enough to sit and eat. It had a casual atmosphere, perfect for a quick meal. The staff were kind and welcoming, which added to the positive experience. They prepared my order quickly and made sure everything was to my liking.
Overall, Pizza Nova is a good option if you’re looking for an affordable and tasty meal. While it may not be the best pizza I’ve ever had, it definitely delivers in terms of value for money. If you’re in the mood for a quick, satisfying bite without spending too much, this is a great choice. I’d definitely consider coming back for another combo deal

October 2023: Sunday dinner & craving pizza. Ordered delivery for 10 hot chicken wings, a Deluxe and the Napoletana (it has anchovies*.) * Hard to find these days.
Delivery was quick & polite, the pizzas were delicious & the wings were moist with just enough kick.
Nice of them to include a complimentary jar of their sauce in celebration of their 60th anniversary.
***
Previously: I weep for this generation as they will never have the pleasure of biting into a Pizza Nova veal sandwich of old. If it weren't for the bread, sauce and add ons of cheese, onions and mushrooms well, just see the pic. You get a thin piece of je ne sais quoi.
The Hawaiian slice was crisp and tasty, the Staff pleasant but seemed bored. To be expected working on a Holiday and with two customers in the whole place but you do have a paying job so be happy for that.
The restaurant is clean. The carpets need a good vacuum.
The wings, ordered hot were hot 🔥 and good enough to wake up the taste buds.
I just wouldn't go back for the veal.

We ALWAYS order from Pizza Nova because you get what you ask for - and it's always GOOD... except last night's order. There are many reasons why an order can be wrong but there is only one way it can be corrected: a phone call to Pizza Nova and their Customer Service. We called about the under-cooked pizza (we like a Well Done crust) and Pizza Nova has adjusted the price of our next pizza accordingly. We WILL order again bc their pizza's still THE BEST and, sometimes, people make mistakes. Just don't eat the pizza BEFORE you call them - that's only fair.

If you're looking for a warm, welcoming atmosphere with delicious traditional Ethiopian food, look no further than “Ethiopean House” Restaurant.
From the moment you step in, you'll be greeted by a friendly and informative owner who makes you feel right at home. The cozy, traditional setting adds to the charm, with its inviting décor that truly reflects the rich culture of Ethiopia.
The star of the meal for me was definitely the "Doro Wat"—their special chicken stew. It was incredibly flavorful, with the perfect balance of spices that made each bite a delightful experience. The tender chicken paired with the rich, spicy sauce was absolutely delicious.
Overall, Ethiopian House Restaurant offers more than just a meal—it provides a genuine cultural experience with fantastic food, great hospitality, and a cozy vibe that makes it a perfect spot for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Ethiopian cuisine. Highly recommend!

Muhammet is an incredibly friendly and warm-hearted owner. He never fails to engage in pleasant conversation and always has a smile on his face. The restaurant's design is entirely organized around Ethiopian culture, and as soon as you step inside, you feel transported to a different world. It's a charming, intimate, and colorful cultural experience.
Despite being a small establishment, traditional details greet you at every turn. The food is delicious. This was our second visit, and we ordered a plate with small portions of various dishes from the menu. It was a delightful culinary experience for us, and we will likely return again.
The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, allowing guests to immerse themselves in Ethiopian culture through both the decor and the cuisine. Overall, it's a unique dining experience that we highly recommend to anyone looking to explore new flavors and cultures.

I tried an Ethiopian restaurant for the first time, and it really surprised me! I ordered their famous vegetarian bayaaynatu after reading some reviews, and it was super tasty. It was also my first time eating with my hands, which was a cool and different experience. We finished off with their coffee, which comes with popcorn on the side. The coffee was a bit pricey, but the whole thing was worth it because the host brought out smoke, and the whole experience felt really unique.

First time with a friend on a Thursday night. Poor guy had worked all day and was both thirsty and hungry. Food wise I order one of each. Pretty easy as there are only four items on the menu. Olives, spicy nuts, cheese board and Charcuterie platter. Nope on the cheese and nope on the Charcuterie. We don’t have those anymore. They didn’t sell and would go bad we are told. It’s going to be a short first time visit.
Olives, nuts and cocktails arrive in no time. Drink wise, nothing to complain about and the same goes for the olives. The nuts are bland and someone needs to put a minute or two into what “spicy nuts” are all about and I’m not talking about some Brazilian guy.
Looking around at this Boutique cocktail bar, I see ads for Tweed on the walls and guys in t-shirts and baseball caps sitting about…not that there’s anything wrong with that but you know, time and place…and an albeit pleasant but tobacco reeking waiter who takes the time to do stretches at the end of the bar showing off posterior skin with his little bum up in the air. Hmmm., drinks and a show but again, any aura of this joint being somewhat classy, premium or high-end…their own words…is thrown right out the window. Seven months ago a reviewer qualified the place as having and I quote: “a refined crowd.” Well Sir, you should have been here on our night and I’m sorry I missed yours.
But it’s all good. We are invited to come back in the new year when they’ll have Bruschetta on the menu. That’s slices of bread with chopped tomatoes in case you don’t know.
PS: Someone needs to spend 15 minutes and put little stickers over menu items you do not serve and possibly update your website. It’s the world we live in and many of your guests do take the time to read these entries.
So that was our first impression. Am I or are we going back? Probably as I base myself on the three strikes you're out system.

Delicious food and extremely well priced. We got so many things I don’t think I could list them all!
Would highly recommend the sizzlers, we got the tandoori chicken and paneer tikka sizzler and both were absolutely amazing.
All the meat dishes were perfectly cooked and extremely tender and juicy. I was a big fan of their Rogan Josh. And the palak paneer was creamy and delicious!!
Perfect spot for an affordable and filling Indian bite. Extremely quick service and the staff was very accommodating considering we were a group of 8.

Atmosphere: Warning to diners, as with most Indian restaurants, do not wear clothing you plan to wear the next day. Also Christmas decor was still up, a bit strange as we are more than halfway through January.
Food: everything was very tasty, fresh, and hot, however you can easily give the chicken pakoras a miss.
Service: i felt quite bad for the 1 waitress who was managing all the customers on the floor, plus takeaway, plus the phone. She seemed quite overwhelmed and would disappear for quite some time (possibly to support the back staff), thus service was extremely slow. It took nearly 20 mins to place our orders and majority of other customers seemed irritated by the slowness.

This Chicken Biryani is pure magic. The rice is fluffy, perfectly spiced, and full of flavor. The chicken is incredibly tender, juicy, and bursting with savory goodness. Topped with crispy fried onions for a sweet crunch, it’s balanced perfectly with a side of cool raita or a squeeze of lime. Every bite is a flavorful experience you’ll crave again and again.
What truly elevates the experience is the amazing service. The staff is warm, polite, and attentive, making you feel right at home. It’s the kind of service that makes the meal even more enjoyable.

I recently visited The Halal Guys in downtown Toronto and was thoroughly impressed. The portions are generous, and the flavors are bold and satisfying. I tried the gyro and chicken platters—both were perfectly seasoned, tender, and served with fresh sides like lettuce and pita. The white and hot sauces added a delicious kick, making each bite exciting. The service was quick, and the food was served hot and fresh. If you're looking for a hearty, flavorful meal, The Halal Guys is a must-visit!

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of dining at The Halal Guys with my family, and it was an enjoyable experience overall. The restaurant has a casual and welcoming atmosphere, making it a great spot for families looking for a quick and satisfying meal.
The highlight of the visit was undoubtedly the food. We ordered a mix of chicken, and falafel platters, and the flavors were exceptional. The meat was tender, well-seasoned, and paired perfectly with their famous white sauce, which lived up to its hype. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring we all left feeling satisfied.
The service was efficient, and the staff was friendly and accommodating, especially toward the kids. They helped us navigate the menu and made sure we had everything we needed. The seating area was clean and comfortable, though it can get a bit crowded during peak hours.
One minor critique is that the red sauce was very spicy, so a little caution is advised if you’re not into heat. Other than that, the experience was fantastic, and the kids enjoyed their meals as well, which is always a win.
Overall, The Halal Guys is a solid choice for a delicious and halal-friendly dining experience. We’ll definitely be returning for more!

We were visiting from out of town and thought it would be nice to try this Halal Guys location. The food was fresh and the platter portion sizes were good. They were generous with the white sauce packets (it's understandable why this sauce is so famous). We also tried the falafel this time and were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely be back again.

I got this poke bowl and its flavour was good, but honestly there are better options out there considering it was a little more of $20.
The toppings are not that much and the bowl is mostly filled with rice. But the rice tastes good though.
It’s a nice place to eat if you’re in a hurry since its service is very fast.

I'd tried a bunch of poke bowl places downtown Toronto, but a few friends and I found ourselves in the area, and after a quick google search and some decent reviews we figured we'd give Hoki Poke a try.
Overall great food. We all had different bowls and the salmon and tuna were very fresh. The cucumber, edamame, seaweed salad, corn leafy greens were also very fresh. We were also fortunate enough to try their takoyaki and dumplings, which is the only reason this is 4/5. The poke bowls were top notch, but unfortunately the takoyaki was a little dry, despite having sauce drizzled on it. Still though, great taste and flavor, and amazing service by the staff.

The fish is torched carefully on one side, giving it a smokey flavour, and keeping the rawness throughout the rest of the cut. The unique process, and the use of purple rice, puts its poke bowls a step above other places.
I paid about $26 for a large signature bowl. There is stool seating along the wall table.

I order from this place on uber eats all the time and it’s usually really good. I got my order today and it’s really not great. Everything seemed to be covered in some sort of gross geletin. And the cucumbers are disgusting. They look and taste like they have been sitting out for days. They taste rotten and sooo soggy. Never had this issue before with them.
