Discovered this spot during the 48 film fest. Such a nice vibe. Big enough for large groups. Has a pool table and does chess nights and a bunch of other cool events. Beer is cold and food is great.

Had a fantastic time! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening with friends. The selection of drinks was not so impressive, with a less variety of local brews and classic cocktails. The food was delicious, particularly the pub classics, which were prepared with a unique twist. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The only slight downside was that it got a bit crowded later in the evening, but that just goes to show how popular this place is. Overall, Madison avenue pub is a great spot for a fun night out. Highly recommended!

THE BEST ONE! This is definitely the best bar in Toronto. There you will find different atmospheres depending the floor you are in this big old house. You can dance, play games, or just chill around this university environment. My favorite is the piano man that starts playing at 10:30 PM. What a wonderful place!!!

I’m not from Toronto, not even from Canada and had no idea what a popular place this is for university students. Huuuuuge line waiting to get in at night, so if your looking for a nice dinner def go earlier. It has a nice classic pub atmosphere. Staff was super nice, had a nice chat with the Irish waitress. Food was delicious, absolutely loved the fries. Came back for lunch on Sunday, the food was even better.

Pizza is one of those dishes that when done well, is simply divine. Not only was this a delicious meal, but the people, music and atmosphere is fantastic at Bar Mercurio. Not to mention the sense of humor! If you aren't looking for joy, I'd suggest another venue.

Absolutely quaint interior and cozy. Owner is very friendly. Lot of beautiful details to look at within the restaurant. I ordered the tiramisu which is probably one of the best I've had ($16). The orange chocolate cake was okay, the orange flavor was a little too strong. But the cake itself was constructed to perfection.

Discovered by chance several years ago, Bar Mercurio has become our favourite restaurant. It was the amazing art that drew me in initially when passing by one summer evening. Making and looking at art is a big part of my life. The artist was speaking my language with gorgeous, interesting, urban abstract works. Turned out the painter was the owner/chef/artist Joe Mercurio. Inside the doors was life itself: food, family, Italy, music, laughter, art, and music. This family owned restaurant is obsessively passionate about ingredients. Everything on your plate comes from their own hands or a family farm, locally or in Italy. There are no shortcuts. Rustic, whole, rich, and absolutely divine. The duck pappardelle is insanely delicious. The pizza is a plate of love. The charcuterie is cured personally by the chef. I love trying different wines, say, from Sicily. It's real food, hard to find nowadays. Superb quality everything. It's the art. The great music. The atmosphere. The wonderful Mercurio family. The wonderful staff. We adore Paulo and Jill who offer friendly, genuine service. Bar Mercurio is my favourite restaurant in Toronto, bar none.

Had a great experience here, both the tacos and onion rings were delicious and our server had a fantastic attitude. I've come a couple times and haven't had a bad experience once. They have good deals as well for dine in and they have plenty of healthy options. Lots of flavor, will be returning.

Always a wonderful vegan staple in the city. Had a quick lunch here and enjoyed the food and great service. The quinoa onion rings are always a hit and a healthy, protein-filled bowl as my main. Highly recommend.

My new favourite vegan restaurant!!! Soooo many amazing choices of bowls , salads , juices & smoothies. I had the goddess smoothie which was so yummy and the Beach Bowl which had grilled veggies , vegan feta on brown rice. Good sized portions too.

Nice new location, lot more spacious than the last. Big patio and lots of indoor tables & booths. They have a daily happy hour from 3-5pm with $8 eats, $5 drinks. 1/2 bottles of wine on Wednesdays. Squash tacos are tasty, nachos are bit bland but the quinoa rings are crunchy and good!

I got the Karashi ramen which was not spicy. The broth was not flavourful at all. There were more bean sprouts than noodles. One slice of the pork was fine but the other was very tough. Much better places in the city for ramen.

We came to Kenzo Ramen at around mid afternoon on a weekday with no expectations. We were surprised about the fantastic options in the menu. I personally tried the Tonkotsu King and I loved it. However I think the balance of the noodles and everything else is uneven, there was way too many noodles. Regardless I still enjoyed the meal, and will probably try something else to see if the portioning of the other ramens are better. I'm only rating this as 4/5 because the it wasn't a busy time but the server forgot our other order, and we were in a time crunch.

We’ve been frequenting this ramen spot for a while, and it never disappoints. The King Shoyu always arrives looking just like the menu illustration and tastes incredibly good. The Tonkotsu is consistently crispy and packed with flavour. We find the portions to be generous and the prices just right. The service is always friendly and attentive. It’s definitely one of our top choices for a satisfying bowl of ramen. 🍜

Been going here for over 10+ years on and off (started in around 2012 ish), and their burritos always hit the spot when the craving is there The old man always packs with meat, most of the other employees are generous with toppings and don't skimp, everything is simple no frills service, and burritos are always loaded and delicious A newer item that has shown up, the cilantro chicken (their chicken with a cilantro/mayo sauce), is my new favourite thing on the menu there

The Mango Chicken Burrito is where it's at!! Small spot big, flavourful burritos! Burrito was juicy, filled with enough mango, veggies, and meat that you wouldn't need to order a second one bc the first one didn't fill you up. Im a fan! Thanks for the service and the food..both great.

I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed the chicken wings with sweet chilli sauce, as well as the delicious and crispy fries with garlic sauce. I can understand how the strong smell of vinegar in the boneless chicken with buffalo sauce might have affected your experience. It's also frustrating when a diet drink doesn't meet expectations. The place is good, the wings were tasty, the server/bartender told us that there will be 8,9 wings but they served only 7 wings, we also ordered sweet potato fries. the quantity was less and including drinks we paid much more.

We’ve been coming here for years and it’s always been a great place to get some wings. I usually get the hot honey garlic wings or the garlic parmesan wings. This time the family decided to change it up a little. They also got the poutine and the fish and chips. While they liked it, they mentioned they should’ve just stuck to wings. We had excellent service and would definitely come back again. The kids menu id also great value.

Just enjoyed the kale halloumi salad with added tofu - plentiful, healthy and delicious, especially with the homemade hot sauce on the side. The indoor atmosphere is quite comfortable with a cute patio option. If it weren’t such a humid day, I’d have sat outside. The servers were kind and attentive.

Not quite enough! True in many aspects for this place, as I dropped by with some buddies for a quick brunch. I got the lamb omelette, but I wanted more Middle Eastern spices, more juicy lamb chunks, more potatoes! The flavours are there, but lacking in punch, and there just isn’t enough to chew on. Bagel AND homefries? Skip one and give me more of the good stuff! Annoyingly close to being great, but I can only give a half-hearted recommendation.

Fantastic brunch spot in the heart of the Annex. There's a huge maple tree around which their covered patio is built, which adds to the charm of the dining experience. The food is fresh, the service is fast, friendly, and fun. They top up your coffee to your hearts content, and I now realize that I maybe overdid it again with my caffeine intake, but that's a me problem.

Tried lunch here today for the first time. The servers (& manager) were notably friendly, attentive, and helpful. It’s not a big restaurant, but they made every effort to accommodate our large group (7) as quickly as possible. When one of our kids couldn’t find anything they liked on the menu (we thought it’d be brunch but that’s only on weekends), the kitchen kindly made up some French toast, which the little one described as “the best [they’d]ever had!” I ordered the Eggs Charlottine; it was delicious (especially the dill sauce) and also in the category of best I’ve ever had. The home fries were seasoned (a more Mediterranean flavour?) so they tasted different from what I expected, but I enjoyed them. They were out of smoothies so I would love to try one next time. Overall the food was delicious and the service great. I’ll be back.

Lovely downtown bistro. They keep their menu small, which means the kitchen is not stretched too thin trying to create dishes from 10 different cuisines. On busy nights, service can be a bit slow, but hey ...it allows more time to socialise. Food is consistently great and delicious.

I stopped in late to satisfy a fried rice craving and this spot did not disappoint. The Vietnamese fried rice was perfectly fresh, tasty and not remotely greasy. The dish boasts 3 meats-chicken, pork and shrimp, all very nicely prepared and seasoned perfectly. The shrimp fresh rolls were clearly built fresh. It was a pleasure to visit.

I made a random stop here for Pho. This place turned out to be a hidden Gem! Super calm, super clean small place with decent food that matches the price very well. The Gentleman which I believe was the owner/manager, kept sweeping the floor, kept asking everyone is all is good. He noticed the limes for the Pho were small, so he gave us two more slices. The food also came with crispy rice cakes on the side which definitely added value. I never tried a Pho place that offers a basket of rice cakes! After we paid cash for the payment the Gentleman offered us complimentary free drinks or pumpkin pies. Definitely recommend🙏🏻

I used to visit this restaurant often when I used to frequent the East of Brunswick Bar. It's been about six or seven months since I last visited, but when I stopped by the other day, I was delighted to find that it's still the same wonderful family-run business that I remembered. The restaurant is incredibly clean and inviting, and I always order the large Pho with the crispy chicken - the crispy chicken is truly outstanding. The portion of noodle goodness is generous, and there are plenty of bean sprouts as well. The kind gentleman who always takes care of me even offered me free ice cream for dessert, although I had to decline as I was running late for my new job in the area. Until next time, my friend!

This place is fantastic. The pho broth is hearty and clean, the portions are generous, the prices are great, and the service is really excellent. It’s impossible to tell how nice the restaurant is from the outside; the signage from Bloor looks a little old and unassuming, so I walked past many times before trying it for the first time. I’m so glad I’ve found this gem of a restaurant!

I had an amazing experience here! Just last week me and some friends were heading to an event at Coda but we were craving some food so we came upon this place. The food was amazing, I got the beef ribs as a snack and honestly I should've ordered two of them because they were so good. My friend ordered beef skewers and offered me one, I ended up having 3 of his they were that good lol. And for dessert only one of us ordered these donut/pastry things, but the owner brought out 8 of them on the house for me and my friends to share. Super super nice restaurant, overall great experience, totally recommend!

This place has great service and a nice environment. The rice-to-fish ratio is a bit off (the sushi had a bit more rice than I was expecting), but still pretty good! The takoyaki was fantastic. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants a decent meal for a fair price.

Ambiance was amazing, seperate seating arrangements from other guests. Great music and vibes. Cleanliness was immaculate, from kitchen ware to tables everything was spotless. Perhaps the best Bento box I've had. The quality of sushi maido is fantastic. Salmon was cooked well, fruits were included and the rolls were very delicious. So much love and care that goes into the food they serve.

Superb sushi and makimono! The cuts are of high quality, simply melting in your mouth, paired with exquisite rice. We've found that the bento boxes are the best value, giving diners a great balance between different foods. Consider the excellent tofu or salmon options. Recommended for locals and tourists alike.

Rolls were generously sized. Chirashi bowl was decent but I felt the sashimi could have featured slightly more premium cuts. We got take out bags and the server provided a soy sauce packet with the bags - this was a nice touch that I haven't experienced in other sushi places. Server was wonderfully welcoming.

Got the Pineapple Lemon Black Tea and the Super Fruit Iced tea. the pineapple one just tasted like watered down tea. Spent nearly 9 dollars for it. Can make it better at home! the “SUPER” fruit iced tea had no fruits in it… I do not really understand where the super comes from. Not only this, the barista was very rude and had an attitude talking to multiple customers… I will not be getting another cuppa tea from this place…

Super friendly staff! Was great that it was open past 10PM. We were invited to sit down while we waited for our food and drinks! We got a free tote bag because we spent over $25 too. My friend got the cheese egg waffle, fried beef balls and classic milk tea, enjoyed all of them! I loved my Taro Milk tea. Will definitely be coming back!

Great service. I liked hazelnut pearl tea! Not a big fan of green tea though. The ambience is too good. The order is taken in a very detailed manner which covers your required sugar level, ice level. The packaging is very neat.
