Had a fantastic time! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening with friends. The selection of drinks was not so impressive, with a less variety of local brews and classic cocktails. The food was delicious, particularly the pub classics, which were prepared with a unique twist. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The only slight downside was that it got a bit crowded later in the evening, but that just goes to show how popular this place is. Overall, Madison avenue pub is a great spot for a fun night out. Highly recommended!

Had a fun night, free to get into and had lots of different options of rooms to visit with different music options. Giving frat party but super fun. Got a drink thrown on me from a couple fighting. Definitely come with a group if you are a female, or a man to stay with you. Got a cran Vodkah super cheap! Very busy!

We dropped in to the Maddy for a quick late dinner last night (July 13). I don't know our server's name but he was an Irish lad. What a great experience! He's a natural with a friendly ease and good timing. We had the quisadilla and the chicken sandwich. Great food and the Blue Hawaiian cocktail is really good. We live in the neighborhood and this is by far the busiest and most exciting pub around! Cheers!

THE BEST ONE! This is definitely the best bar in Toronto. There you will find different atmospheres depending the floor you are in this big old house. You can dance, play games, or just chill around this university environment. My favorite is the piano man that starts playing at 10:30 PM. What a wonderful place!!!

I’m not from Toronto, not even from Canada and had no idea what a popular place this is for university students. Huuuuuge line waiting to get in at night, so if your looking for a nice dinner def go earlier. It has a nice classic pub atmosphere. Staff was super nice, had a nice chat with the Irish waitress. Food was delicious, absolutely loved the fries. Came back for lunch on Sunday, the food was even better.

Make sure to make a reservation! Felt like we were at Nonna's house for dinner, started by ringing the doorbell. The amazing staff helped us with the menu, but chose the seasonal item, pumpkin pizza anyways. Love trying new things and this pizza was really well done. Love the menu and will make my way back to try some more.

Pizza is one of those dishes that when done well, is simply divine. Not only was this a delicious meal, but the people, music and atmosphere is fantastic at Bar Mercurio. Not to mention the sense of humor! If you aren't looking for joy, I'd suggest another venue.

Joe Mercurio has outdone himself with this latest creation—a pepperoni pizza that redefines the classic favorite. From the first bite, it’s clear that this pizza is something special. The crust strikes a perfect balance between crispy and chewy, providing the ideal foundation for the layers of flavor that follow.
The pepperoni itself is exceptional—generously portioned, with a savory, slightly spicy kick that pairs beautifully with the melted cheese. Speaking of cheese, Joe doesn’t skimp here; it’s rich, perfectly melted, and has that satisfying stretch that every great pizza should have.
But what truly sets this pizza apart is the sauce. It’s the unsung hero of the pie, with a robust, tangy profile that complements the other ingredients without overpowering them. Each bite is a harmonious blend of flavors that hits all the right notes.
Joe Mercurio’s new pepperoni pizza is a must-try for pizza lovers everywhere. It’s a delicious, elevated take on a classic, and one that will have you coming back for more. A true masterpiece in the world of pizza-making!

Absolutely quaint interior and cozy. Owner is very friendly. Lot of beautiful details to look at within the restaurant. I ordered the tiramisu which is probably one of the best I've had ($16). The orange chocolate cake was okay, the orange flavor was a little too strong. But the cake itself was constructed to perfection.

Fresh Kitchen on Bloor: A Culinary Gem!
I recently dined at Fresh Kitchen on Bloor, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The vibrant atmosphere perfectly complements the innovative plant-based menu. Each dish bursts with flavor and creativity, showcasing the best of seasonal ingredients.
I started with the roasted beet salad, which was beautifully presented and perfectly balanced. For the main course, the quinoa and roasted vegetable bowl was a highlight—nutty, hearty, and satisfying. The chef’s attention to detail is evident in every bite.
The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, eager to share their recommendations. Plus, the commitment to sustainability and health makes every meal feel like a positive choice.
Whether you’re a vegetarian or just looking to eat healthier, Fresh Kitchen on Bloor is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their delightful offerings! Five stars all the way!

My new favourite vegan restaurant!!! Soooo many amazing choices of bowls , salads , juices & smoothies.
I had the goddess smoothie which was so yummy and the Beach Bowl which had grilled veggies , vegan feta on brown rice.
Good sized portions too.

Nice new location, lot more spacious than the last. Big patio and lots of indoor tables & booths. They have a daily happy hour from 3-5pm with $8 eats, $5 drinks. 1/2 bottles of wine on Wednesdays. Squash tacos are tasty, nachos are bit bland but the quinoa rings are crunchy and good!

We came to Kenzo Ramen at around mid afternoon on a weekday with no expectations. We were surprised about the fantastic options in the menu. I personally tried the Tonkotsu King and I loved it. However I think the balance of the noodles and everything else is uneven, there was way too many noodles. Regardless I still enjoyed the meal, and will probably try something else to see if the portioning of the other ramens are better. I'm only rating this as 4/5 because the it wasn't a busy time but the server forgot our other order, and we were in a time crunch.
Angel Navarro - 3 months ago
We’ve been frequenting this ramen spot for a while, and it never disappoints. The King Shoyu always arrives looking just like the menu illustration and tastes incredibly good. The Tonkotsu is consistently crispy and packed with flavour.
We find the portions to be generous and the prices just right. The service is always friendly and attentive. It’s definitely one of our top choices for a satisfying bowl of ramen. 🍜

After our favourite ramen spot closed this year, we're so glad to have come across this shoppe!
The food was flavourful and very satisfying, and the portions were generous.
The staff is very pleasant, and were very mindful of our allergies.
The atmosphere is really cozy and relaxed, too. (We could have sat there longer to relax!)
Hope your experience here will be as good as ours was...

I have been going to Kenzo Ramen for several years now. The quality of the food and service has been remarkably consistent.
On my most recent visit, I had the King Shoyu ramen, packed with extra noodles and pork. The flavours were excellent, although the soup and toppings were lukewarm and closer to room temperature as I was finishing the bowl. The large serving size justified the price.
Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant has tasteful design choices and comfortable bench seating and was not crowded at the time of my visit.

The Mango Chicken Burrito is where it's at!!
Small spot big, flavourful burritos!
Burrito was juicy, filled with enough mango, veggies, and meat that you wouldn't need to order a second one bc the first one didn't fill you up.
Im a fan!
Thanks for the service and the food..both great.

Don’t order the shrimp tacos. I got home last night after ordering them to realize that they had put a mountain of tomato and toppings on top of two small pieces of undercooked shrimp taco. One taco actually had 1.5 piece of shrimp
I under stand the price point but had I known it was gonna be so disappointing I would have just ordered something else

My friend, Eric, and I have eaten lunch here before without any complaints. That's why today was so surprising. We each order a vegetarian burrito but his was extra spicy and no onions. He hates onions. A lady prepared the toppings and gentleman cooking the protein placed the protein into each burrito wrap and labelled the paper bags so we'd know which is which. He got it backwards. We each took a few bites before Eric gagged from the foul taste of onions (his words, not mine!). He went in to explain that the burritos were mis-labelled. I could live with the absence of delectable onions (my words, not Eric's) and it being a bit too spicy. Eric stood there waiting for the gentleman to offer to make him a new burrito. They stared at one another and the silence was deafening. It was truly a Mexican standoff. No correction was offered. Eric asked the gentleman to chuck the burrito in the waste basket and felt as if he'd been wronged by a bandido. I agree with Eric. What do you think?

I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed the chicken wings with sweet chilli sauce, as well as the delicious and crispy fries with garlic sauce. I can understand how the strong smell of vinegar in the boneless chicken with buffalo sauce might have affected your experience. It's also frustrating when a diet drink doesn't meet expectations. I'm sorry to hear that the darkness of the place affected your overall enjoyment. Your feedback is valuable, and I hope your next dining experience is even more enjoyable

The place is good, the wings were tasty, the server/bartender told us that there will be 8,9 wings but they served only 7 wings, we also ordered sweet potato fries. the quantity was less and including drinks we paid much more.
Mansha Singh - 2 months ago
We’ve been coming here for years and it’s always been a great place to get some wings.
I usually get the hot honey garlic wings or the garlic parmesan wings.
This time the family decided to change it up a little. They also got the poutine and the fish and chips. While they liked it, they mentioned they should’ve just stuck to wings.
We had excellent service and would definitely come back again. The kids menu id also great value.
Le Yen Lam - a year ago
It’s a small but decent setup. Lots of TVs and half decent beer selection. The wings in my opinion are mediocre at best. The fries and dill dip are excellent. Generally there’s one bar keep and one server which means pretty slow and not super attentive service.

Just enjoyed the kale halloumi salad with added tofu - plentiful, healthy and delicious, especially with the homemade hot sauce on the side. The indoor atmosphere is quite comfortable with a cute patio option. If it weren’t such a humid day, I’d have sat outside. The servers were kind and attentive.
Faith Quintero - 3 months ago
Not quite enough! True in many aspects for this place, as I dropped by with some buddies for a quick brunch. I got the lamb omelette, but I wanted more Middle Eastern spices, more juicy lamb chunks, more potatoes! The flavours are there, but lacking in punch, and there just isn’t enough to chew on. Bagel AND homefries? Skip one and give me more of the good stuff!
Annoyingly close to being great, but I can only give a half-hearted recommendation.

Fantastic brunch spot in the heart of the Annex. There's a huge maple tree around which their covered patio is built, which adds to the charm of the dining experience. The food is fresh, the service is fast, friendly, and fun. They top up your coffee to your hearts content, and I now realize that I maybe overdid it again with my caffeine intake, but that's a me problem.

Tried lunch here today for the first time. The servers (& manager) were notably friendly, attentive, and helpful. It’s not a big restaurant, but they made every effort to accommodate our large group (7) as quickly as possible. When one of our kids couldn’t find anything they liked on the menu (we thought it’d be brunch but that’s only on weekends), the kitchen kindly made up some French toast, which the little one described as “the best [they’d]ever had!” I ordered the Eggs Charlottine; it was delicious (especially the dill sauce) and also in the category of best I’ve ever had. The home fries were seasoned (a more Mediterranean flavour?) so they tasted different from what I expected, but I enjoyed them. They were out of smoothies so I would love to try one next time. Overall the food was delicious and the service great. I’ll be back.

I was looking for a nice dinner place for a celebratory dinner, that has so e vegetarian and vegan options for me as well. I saw this place and its great reviews. But was terribly disappointed last night after my meal. I basically felt that being a vegan, I only need to eat raw food. Ugh.
My friends liked their chicken and fish, not so much the lamb and beef. And I hated their “vegan special”! It said it has “vegan balls with cucumber, carrot, astec rice and tofu with sauce”. When I got my food, there were some chopped veggies, lot of quinoa and rice and some tofu. NO VEGAN BALL as mentioned in their “dinner special” menu.
When asked about it, all I received was “sorry, the menu meant to say ‘bowl’ and not ‘ball’. And then the server left. So I basically paid $30 for raw veggies and rice. Are you kidding me?!
I paid a bomb here, and all my money was basically wasted. Not going here again for sure. Vegetarian/vegan food is abysmal here!
I gave two stars because the server was sweet in general. But I’m definitely quite sad about the food being wayyyy sub par for vegetarians.

This place is fantastic. The pho broth is hearty and clean, the portions are generous, the prices are great, and the service is really excellent.
It’s impossible to tell how nice the restaurant is from the outside; the signage from Bloor looks a little old and unassuming, so I walked past many times before trying it for the first time.
I’m so glad I’ve found this gem of a restaurant!

This place is fantastic. I wanted the beef brisket curry and asked beforehand if it was "soft" and "not chewy," the gentleman, who is always super nice, went to the back to confirm and said it's "sort of soft", I took that gamble and it was super tasty and the perfect "soft" with no "chew."Highly recommend.
Me and my partner come here quite often for takeout and dine in and it's always consistent, tasty and has great service.
Oh yea, thanks for the surprise shrimp chips today 😀

The food comes fast, affordable and the service was friendly. The problem is the bones in the meat. I ordered lemongrass pork on rice. The slices of meat had bones that were hard to see, so it was a surprise (and ouch! on my teeth). It can be very bad for a child or for an elderly. I strongly urge the owner to remove the bones in the strips of meat before serving it. Also, I wish the meat had more lemongrass taste/fragrance. There is competition for good Vietnamese food on Bloor St. so this owner will have to make some improvements.

Cute little place on Bloor Street. Clean, friendly service and great place for a meal without breaking the bank.
We had the Vietnamese spring rolls which were tasty, Curry beef brisket with steamed rice which was delicious, and Vietnamese noodle soup with curry, raw beef and toufu which was very good, but was missing the curry taste. All in all a great place to dine, and experiment the different flavors of Vietnamese cuisine.

Ambiance was amazing, seperate seating arrangements from other guests. Great music and vibes.
Cleanliness was immaculate, from kitchen ware to tables everything was spotless.
Perhaps the best Bento box I've had. The quality of sushi maido is fantastic. Salmon was cooked well, fruits were included and the rolls were very delicious. So much love and care that goes into the food they serve.

This place has great service and a nice environment. The rice-to-fish ratio is a bit off (the sushi had a bit more rice than I was expecting), but still pretty good! The takoyaki was fantastic. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants a decent meal for a fair price.

So on the one hand the bubble waffle and HK milk tea was tasty. The drink is also sugar adjustable unlike other places. However, I do think it’s about 1$-1.5$ more expensive compared to other places.
Zero AC, very hot in summer. No seating. Seems… extremely budget. Would come for the food but definitely not sitting there

Got the Pineapple Lemon Black Tea and the Super Fruit Iced tea.
the pineapple one just tasted like watered down tea. Spent nearly 9 dollars for it. Can make it better at home!
the “SUPER” fruit iced tea had no fruits in it… I do not really understand where the super comes from.
Not only this, the barista was very rude and had an attitude talking to multiple customers… I will not be getting another cuppa tea from this place…

I loved my Taro Milk tea.
