A beautiful, cozy restaurant, this is actually Toronto's oldest, established in the 1920s.
We got wine and cosmopolitan for drinks their food was good too but they restaurant on too closes pretty early around 8 the bar downstairs on the other hand stays open much longer.

The food is pretty underwhelming for a highly rated place. Neither the egg Benedict nor the French toast stood out in anyway.
Overpriced got what you get so I would not recommend.

I really enjoyed this spot for brunch and coffee. The Senator Restaurant offers good variety of breakfast and brunch options. The egg benedict that I ordered along with the homefries side were amazing. Service was also spot on and the waitress was very attentive and the food came our pretty quick. The ambiance and atmosphere were also great.

What a delightful place for brunch. Staff was so polite and friendly. The food service was quick. The food was hot and delicious.
Had eggs benedict - salmon. Veg option with Avocado.
Peach pancakes- with some fruit, syrup, butter n whipped cream.
There is a reason why this place has been going strong after so many decades. Please visit, highly recommended. My new favourite for brunch in the city.

The place is super beautiful!
Staff is super helpful and nice.
Though, one of the cleanup crew took a plate that we were not done with.
Pizza is good, but the middle is kinda saggy. I personally don't like things falling off.
But overall, our group loved it! Would go again!

This restaurant was recommended by a colleague and I did online reservation. The interior/atmosphere of the restaurant is really nice to see & very interesting. I ordered calamary appetizer, 2 pastas, and a pizza. The calamary was nicely fried & crispy but to me & wife, it was not salty enough and tasted plain. The pastas and pizza were delicious however. My picky kid actually finished half a pizza herself. That shows how good it was. Total damage after tax & tip was about $130.

I visited this spot for brunch on a Sunday morning. 11 AM is the perfect time! It wasn't too crowded yet. The buffet was great! Fried chicken tasted like someone's grandma was in the kitchen frying it in a cast iron skillet. I also had greens, mac & cheese, grits, shrimp and bacon. The waffle was my favorite! Hot off the griddle, it was soft and perfect. The peach mimosa was top notch! Definitely go on the early side though. Food is replenished a lot slower after 12 noon.

Easily accessible and not an issue to be dropped off right in front of the restaurant if you take a cab.
Nice atmosphere and the service was excellent. We were eight and our server was very efficient and attentive!
We all ordered different plates and everyone was happy with their choices. I had the fried calamari which is a must if you enjoy seafood, it was grilled to perfection and served on a bead of salad and house vinaigrette. For the main course I had the spaghetti with seafood which would have much better if the scallops were not overcooked… a big disappointment!
I went with our server personal favorite dessert Butter scotch which was not for me, but the other items on the desserts menu seemed really good.
Worth the detour even if you just have the fried calamari!

A lovely northern Italian restaurant. Lots of options with many of which they were able to make gluten free.
This is by far the best gluten free (corn based) pasta that I have had.
Portions were not the largest, but adequate to satisfy the customer and provide enough flavour.

Hy’s Steakhouse offers a truly premium dining experience. The elegant decor and luxurious ambiance set the tone for a memorable evening. The steaks were perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and the quality of the cuts was outstanding. The sides and appetizers were just as impressive, complementing the meal perfectly.
Service was top-notch, with attentive staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent recommendations. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that Hy’s pays attention to every detail, ensuring an exceptional experience. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a high-end steakhouse experience.

The atmosphere was like stepping into a library with comfortable sitting, lighting and live music- absolutely immaculate. The customer service was incredible, our waitress was so kind and genuinely seemed to care. But the food… I’m disappointed. The cheese toast was very basic, worse than “free bread” that other fancy places offer and you had to pay for it. The beef wellington was bland and was only medium rare at the very middle (maybe overcooked a little?) and the quality of the meat was average at best. But the dessert was a 10/10, and made the experience worth it.

My first set of oysters came out with a hair in it.. the second set of oysters came out with no hair but also no flavour. I asked for lamb and mash potatoes and they told me I couldn’t substitute what the lamb comes with… that’s was disappointing. Overall the lamb was good.
The place is beautiful and my waiter tried to be as understanding as possible
Also valet parking is really hard to find but it’s there on a one way side street
Update: I got a reply back to my review from a lady named Charmaine (the manager of Hy’s) asking me to give her a call. I called her and she had nothing to say.. she asked me to tell her what happened when it’s clearly stated in the post.. and then she just said “sorry to hear that”…she only responded to the review to make it look like they take up/deal w bad experiences but it turns out they don’t. Oh well.

I had the prime rib burger at Hy's Steakhouse, and it was delicious! The meat was juicy and well-seasoned, and the bun was toasted perfectly. Service was also great – our server Robyn was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this burger to anyone looking for a high-quality, satisfying meal.

Stumbled upon this gem while strolling along Yonge Street...while taking in the vibe of downtown...a pleasant surprise it was, full of atmosphere once inside...which I couldn't tell from the street.
It was very lively and busy...and the only place was available for me to sit was the bar, which was great too...very popular with their own brewery of beers on tap as some patrons came specifically for the beer.
This pub seems like a place that has lots of repeats and I definitely will be one now...the menu is varied and some good selections of food to choose from, best part the prices is quite affordable too.
I chose the fish 🌮 tacos, so delicious and fresh, beer is not the only thing they serve, cocktails are great choices as well, service was friendly and welcoming...I left feeling really good about this find...will be back!

3 Brasseurs in Toronto is a fantastic spot, especially when you're on the hunt for a late-night beer. We found ourselves there around 1:00 a.m., craving a drink, and this place did not disappoint. The beer was fresh and delicious, brewed to perfection, and exactly what we needed.
Although we didn't get to try the food since the kitchen was closed, the overall experience was still great. The hospitality was top-notch, and the ambiance of the place is simply awesome. Located right in front of the Eaton Centre and at the heart of the square, the vintage architecture adds a unique charm to the whole experience.
I can't wait to return and experience it again, hopefully when the kitchen is open, so I can taste the food as well. Definitely a spot worth visiting!

Very wonderful place to have a drink right infront of Dundas square. It’s generally crowded on weekends, I tried mango limeade along with coco shrimps which was great. The waitress took her time but was quite funny & cordial.

I got the 7-course tasting menu for an anniversary dinner and it was memorable and delicious! Highlights were the koginut squash, charcoal grilled arctic char, and caramel apple "cheesecake" - which were MINDBLOWINGLY GOOD. Like, on the verge of tearing up from happiness good. Portion sizes were good, we were both full at the end.
We're so grateful for the amazing experience and can't wait to go back to try their regular menu!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at **Richmond Station**, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, and we had the chance to try five different "shares" plates, which are tapas-style dishes perfect for sharing. Each plate was full of flavor and beautifully prepared – not a single miss!
The service was also exceptional. Our waiter, Josh, was amazing, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The entire staff had a warm and positive approach, which made the evening even more enjoyable.
I will definitely be going back. One tip: **make sure to reserve a table** as this place is popular, and for good reason!

Richmond Station delivers an exceptional dining experience with delicious food and impeccable dish presentation, which I rate a 10. The restaurant offers a good wine selection and features a special every day, adding variety to each visit. A delightful touch is the small chocolate they give you with the check.
During our visit, I had the duck, which was cooked perfectly, while my wife had the suckling pig and absolutely loved it. For an appetizer, we tried the crudo, which was fresh and flavorful, though I wished it had been a bit spicier.
Overall, Richmond Station provided a great dining experience with outstanding food, presentation, and service.

I had a fantastic dinner, we opted for the chef’s menu. The experience was delightful, with each dish beautifully showcasing a fall theme. The squash puree and pumpkin pie dessert were spot on, perfectly seasonal and delicious. The canapés at the start were adorable, and the foie gras was an unexpected highlight, tasting almost like dessert without any strong or off-putting flavors. It was a pleasant surprise! Overall, it was a very filling meal, and we enjoyed every bite.

If you're looking to treat someone you care about for a fancy dining experience you can't go wrong with this spot. I took my wife here for her birthday and booked the chef's viewing table, it was a fun experience seeing the dishes prepared in front of you.
The food is amazing, I've gotta say the burger was the highlight of the meal. The duck Fettuccini was really good and so was the sharing dish. Drinks wise the mocktails weren't anything special though. I will say a lot of people seem to be disappointed in the tasting menu, I'd recommend you just get a dish you'll enjoy. It's decently portioned and will fill you up.
Service is amazing, no issues very helpful. Washrooms are clean, tip is included in the price so it's on the pricier side. All in all an amazing time and well deserving of 5 stars.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at an incredible Italian restaurant, and it was an experience to remember! Every dish was bursting with flavor and prepared with such care that it felt like a true celebration of Italian cuisine.
We started with a salad featuring creamy burrata, caramelized pear, and fresh greens—a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The pizza was a masterpiece, with a thin, crispy crust and rich toppings that made every bite a delight.
The duck leg served with tender beans was cooked to perfection, offering a wonderful mix of textures and flavors. The halibut, paired with a fragrant herb and bacon , was a standout dish—light, aromatic, and absolutely delicious.
The seafood pasta was another highlight, with fresh, perfectly cooked seafood and a flavorful sauce that tied it all together. Every dish felt fresh, thoughtfully crafted, and made with love.
This restaurant truly captures the essence of Italian cooking, and I can’t wait to return!

Thank you to Giuseppe for guiding us through the Tasting Menu..
Chef Costa did an amazing job in preparing hot delicious food that we all loved..
We all appreciated the time and effort he put into it..
The server Tea was professional and personable and took great care of us..
I would suggest TASTING MENU for anyone wanting a taste of Italy without flying there.

It was really an average experience. Very few vegetarian options and moreover Vegetarian pasta was under Al Dante, thick chewy pasta. Sweet Potato salad ordered did not come at all.
Cappachino was good. Pistachio Canolo dessert was just average. I have had better desserts at Italian Restaurants.

Went here for lunch on my last day in Toronto. The waterfront area is full of Italian restaurants and this was relatively close to the parking garage we were in.
House made bread and Pasta were fantastic. I went into it thinking pizza but when I saw the Chitarra alla Norcina I couldn't pass it up.
It was absolutely fantastic and I could have eaten like four plates.

The famous Popeyes, popular for their Louisiana style chicken fry was really good. My wife would give the chicken fry's 5/5. I have had a burger 🍔 as I'm more of a burger and beer person. It was okay. The ambiance was nice specially for a fried chicken shop that too next to Dundas Square.

Without a doubt one of the best japanese restaurants I've ever been to!
Their menu is focused around sushi and sashimi but there are a lot of cooked dishes as well. Extremely fresh and high quality ingredients are thoughtfully executed here, and its no wonder why this is one of Toronto's oldest sushi joints.
The ingredients are so fresh that I, pleasantly, didn't even recognize the flavors of some fish I often order. The black cod may be the single best cooked fish I've ever tasted and highly recommend!
Service is excellent, and the decor is beautiful. Traditional feeling, yet intimate and cozy! The menu is on the pricier side but it's absolutely worth it, considering quality and execution is better than most other places I've had in the same price range.
Highly, highly recommend!

What a great place. I always feel so welcome there. I always know that I'm in for a treat every time I go there. Perfect non-greasy tempura and excellent fresh fish. Also, the miso soup (don't laugh lol) is amazing - there is a depth of flavour that is not common. Often times at other Japanese restaurants, I reject a miso soup because it's never going to be as good as Nami's

Trattoria is a decent enough place to eat in the Eaton Center if you're looking for more than fast food. It was pretty full towards 8 pm onwards just before the mall closed. As for the food I wasn't all that impressed with the quality however the presentation was decent. The tuna was a tad rubbery in texture. The eggplant pasta was a semi filling bowl filled with vegetables. All in all I felt the portion sizes could've been a bit bigger. The chocolate cake for desert was also pretty good with the ice cream. I didn't mind my experience here but I'm not sure I would return to eat with other restaurants nearby.

A really beautiful restaurant, but in my opinion the value for money isn't really there. Portion sizes on the dishes are really small considering how expensive they are. You won't come out of here spending under $30. I do recommend the mushroom pizza, as the flavours were pretty good and it was light.
Our server was nice but we were kind of tucked away on one side of the upstairs seating.

Food was amazing. Place was too crowded, lot of people but hope they arrange table and chairs with a little more room to move easily when eating. Because it’s too busy, servers can’t keep up, so we have to wait to get their attention. If you are patient and wanna eat real yummy food, this place is highly recommended. Enjoy!
