4 Star Rating Always a great outing at The Senator! Wonderful selection of hot beverages, but we all miss the milkshakes. The pancakes used to better, as well. Now, they are a little too doughy and dense, whereas they were lighter with a slight crisp of caramelization on the outsides previously. Service was very good, but everything took a very long time to get orders in and get food and drinks. Otherwise would've been 5 stars across the board! Will definitely be back again!

4 Star Rating Food was good but nothing too special. Tried the burger, was a bit dry. However, they have possibly the best homemade chocolate chip cookie in the city. Make sure you ask for it warmed up, you won’t be dissatisfied. Overall a great place to eat.

5 Star Rating I really enjoyed this spot for brunch and coffee. The Senator Restaurant offers good variety of breakfast and brunch options. The egg benedict that I ordered along with the homefries side were amazing. Service was also spot on and the waitress was very attentive and the food came our pretty quick. The ambiance and atmosphere were also great.

4 Star Rating The place is super beautiful! Staff is super helpful and nice. Though, one of the cleanup crew took a plate that we were not done with. Pizza is good, but the middle is kinda saggy. I personally don't like things falling off. But overall, our group loved it! Would go again!

5 Star Rating This was my first time visiting Terroni, and I really enjoyed it! The ambience, decor, and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. For our drinks, we ordered the Senzabrillo (alcohol free mocktail), and the Mandarin infused Italian soda. For our meal, we tried the Grilled Calamari, Lemon Pasta, and Seafood Pasta. Then to top it all off, we ordered the butterscotch pudding and pistachio lava cake. I highly recommend the drinks, appetites, and main courses, however I do warn that the butterscotch pudding was a bit too sweet, and the pistachio lava cake was an interesting concept but could have used more of the ice cream and crumb accompaniments.

5 Star Rating Great spot for a solo lunch out while working downtown. I came in around noon and it wasn't too busy, was sat at a table for two in my own area of the restaurant. Service staff were friendly and attentive, made sure I had everything I needed and water was always topped off without asking. I had the beef carpaccio, the branzino, and the chocolate lava cake to finish it all off and everything was wonderful. I was in and out in under an hour - so I can recommend this to anybody working downtown and looking for an elevated, sit-down lunch on the clock.

2 Star Rating We went here for a night out, there were 5 of us in total. We had reservations but they brought us upstairs to our table past all the action and atmosphere. The room was clearly made for weddings. Always make it clear you do not want to be seated upstairs. It felt like we were in a cheap wedding. We were seated on a literal fold out table with a paper table cloth, my legs were touching the bars the entire night. So uncomfortable, the atmosphere was 1 out of 10. We all hated it. All we could see were coats of other customers and the back room with really bright lights on. $400 bill for mediocre food and a atmosphere that left much to be desired, the service was good, not great but good. Waited a long time to get served and had to ask for more water. It was not worth it, maybe if we were seated in the actual restaurant it would have been better. Extremely disappointing. The photo was the view I had of the table next to me. I could hear the people next to me also saying how much they hated their table. Lesson learned.

5 Star Rating I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Hy’s last night with my partner to celebrate a big accomplishment, and I can confidently say it was a great experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by an incredibly friendly staff at the reception, setting the tone for the evening. Our server, Joanna, was beyond exceptional—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. She checked on us consistently throughout the night, ensuring our experience was perfect. We started with cheese toast, fresh oysters and Oysters Rockefeller, both incredibly fresh and flavourful. For the mains, I had the lamb chops, which was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. My partner had the 14oz ribeye steak, and it was nothing short of amazing. Every bite was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. For dessert, we indulged in the Bananas Foster, which was a delightful surprise for me—I usually don’t enjoy desserts, but this was incredible, especially with the tableside service adding to the experience. To round off the night, we had blueberry tea, which was the perfect comforting end to a fantastic meal. Hy’s truly exceeded my expectations in every way—incredible food, top-tier service, and an inviting ambiance. Joanna’s service made our evening even more special, and I deeply appreciate the level of care and attention we received. I can’t wait to return and explore the rest of their menu! Highly recommend for a special night out!

5 Star Rating Hy’s Steakhouse truly exceeded my expectations on my first visit. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with an upscale yet comfortable feel. But what really made the experience stand out was our incredible server, Gabe. He was exceptional—friendly, funny, and genuinely passionate about providing top-tier service. He took the time to chat with us, offered fantastic recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the night. If you visit here, definitely ask if they can put you in Gabe’s seating area, he is the best server ever. As for the food—simply outstanding. I’ve dined at many high-end restaurants, but Hy’s ranks near the very top for me. The lamb rack, in particular, was the best I’ve ever had. Cooked to absolute perfection, tender, and bursting with rich, savory flavor. Every entrée at our table was top-notch, expertly prepared, and beautifully presented. And to top it all off, dessert was just as impressive—the cheesecake was hands down the most delicious I’ve ever had. Overall, this was an unforgettable dining experience. Incredible food, top-notch service, and a refined yet welcoming ambiance. I highly recommend Hy’s Steakhouse to anyone looking for a truly exceptional meal. I will definitely be returning!

5 Star Rating Ate here for the first time with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday and this place blew our expectations out of the water. The wait staff were friendly and attentive and ensured we had the best dining experience. The French onion soup and beef Wellington were phenomenal. The chef takes pride in his craft and curated the meals to perfection - my French onion soup wasn’t to his liking and had it remade before even sending it out to the table. I have never experienced such incredible care at a restaurant before. To top it off, our experience was made that much more memorable with a complimentary sorbet desert to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. We will absolutely be coming back.

5 Star Rating Wow! We are impressed. For a while I was always skeptical of Hy’s due to it being a chain restaurant & with a higher price point… However they really live up to a quality steak joint. First thing is you’re greeted by a friendly hostess and gorgeous decor. The ambiance is lovely here, very comfortable seating & clean. They have a good selection on their menu of appetizers. They do tend to be smaller portions, so perhaps best to come during happy hour to try them. We had their table side steak tartare, extra spicy, and extremely fresh tasting. The scallops with maple bacon was TO DIE FOR! huge scallops and delicious maple glaze. I do not recommend ordering salad here as the portion is a bit small & it’s just your regular everyday salad. And onto the steak, most are $65+ we went with the classic New York with one side. That is more than enough, and after apps, & sides you may not even finish it! They have selected a very tender cut, marinated it to perfection. As well the doneness, well in my case blueness was perfect! Not too chewy and seared on the outside the way it should be. My partner had his well-done with a touch of pink. No complaints, not over cooked and tender as can be. Sides to try: glazed carrots and cauliflower gratin. Perfection! Drinks: if your like me, and have the asian curse, they have wonderful non-alcoholic cocktails made with specialty alcohol free spirits!

3 Star Rating I booked this restaurant for our anniversary and was excited to try it out. Overall, we enjoyed most of the food, but a few aspects left us disappointed. The highlight of the meal was the food itself, which was really good. However, there were a couple of issues. The asparagus served with the Wellington was burnt to ash on the bottom. When we pointed it out to our server, Shannon, she simply took it away without any apology or offer to replace it. That felt dismissive and not up to par for the restaurant's standards. We also ordered mashed potatoes and fries as sides for our steak, thinking they were included (perhaps we misread the menu). The fries were okay—neither great nor bad—but the mashed potatoes were incredibly basic: just smashed potatoes with a bit of salt. They lacked creaminess or any real flavor, and we barely ate them. To top it off, we discovered at the end of the meal that each side was $17. While that might have been on us for not reading the menu carefully, it added to the disappointment. There were also small service issues. I requested ice in my water at the start of the meal, but it was completely forgotten. Despite these drawbacks, we did enjoy most of the food, and the ambiance was pleasant. However, service and attention to detail could definitely be improved. Overall, I’d rate the experience a 7.5/10.

5 Star Rating They’re famous for their house-brewed beers, and it’s clear they have a loyal crowd that comes back just for the drinks. The menu offers a great variety of options at very reasonable prices. I decided on the pizza and wings, and they were incredibly fresh and flavorful. 5 Star Rating Stumbled upon this gem while strolling along Yonge Street...while taking in the vibe of downtown...a pleasant surprise it was, full of atmosphere once inside...which I couldn't tell from the street. It was very lively and busy...and the only place was available for me to sit was the bar, which was great too...very popular with their own brewery of beers on tap as some patrons came specifically for the beer. This pub seems like a place that has lots of repeats and I definitely will be one now...the menu is varied and some good selections of food to choose from, best part the prices is quite affordable too. I chose the fish 🌮 tacos, so delicious and fresh, beer is not the only thing they serve, cocktails are great choices as well, service was friendly and welcoming...I left feeling really good about this find...will be back!

4 Star Rating 3 Brasseurs in Toronto is a fantastic spot, especially when you're on the hunt for a late-night beer. We found ourselves there around 1:00 a.m., craving a drink, and this place did not disappoint. The beer was fresh and delicious, brewed to perfection, and exactly what we needed. Although we didn't get to try the food since the kitchen was closed, the overall experience was still great. The hospitality was top-notch, and the ambiance of the place is simply awesome. Located right in front of the Eaton Centre and at the heart of the square, the vintage architecture adds a unique charm to the whole experience. I can't wait to return and experience it again, hopefully when the kitchen is open, so I can taste the food as well. Definitely a spot worth visiting!

3 Star Rating The food was alright. There was not much flavor in the appetizers, the fries had an oily smell. Overall mid food for what I ordered 5/10. They do have a chef menu maybe that taste better. But I think people go there for the atmosphere. They have several course meals and people like that I guess. I just want good food. 4 Star Rating I've dined at Richmond Station numerous times over the past three years. The food has always been excellent, and I felt they were snubbed for a Michelin star or Bib Gourmand. My last experience explains why. I dined in on a weekday, and the restaurant was pretty empty. I started with the scallops, and they were delicious. Unfortunately, my meal went downhill after that. Next, I tried the mushrooms, which arrived cold and soggy. The server apologized and had them re-made. The next mushroom batch was undercooked and not crispy, but better than the first. I finished off with the Arctic char. Again, it was served cold, and all of the veggies under the fish were cold. The dessert tart was definitely the lowest point of the meal. For $20, it tasted like a boxed dessert from the freezer section. My previous experiences at Richmond Station were impeccable, and I've made it a stop every time I've visited Toronto. Please correct your problems! I still love you and will return the next time I visit Toronto. Hopefully, you will have resolved your issues. I fully intend to delete this review and replace it with high praise.

5 Star Rating I recently had the pleasure of dining at an incredible Italian restaurant, and it was an experience to remember! Every dish was bursting with flavor and prepared with such care that it felt like a true celebration of Italian cuisine. We started with a salad featuring creamy burrata, caramelized pear, and fresh greens—a perfect balance of sweet and savory. The pizza was a masterpiece, with a thin, crispy crust and rich toppings that made every bite a delight. The duck leg served with tender beans was cooked to perfection, offering a wonderful mix of textures and flavors. The halibut, paired with a fragrant herb and bacon , was a standout dish—light, aromatic, and absolutely delicious. The seafood pasta was another highlight, with fresh, perfectly cooked seafood and a flavorful sauce that tied it all together. Every dish felt fresh, thoughtfully crafted, and made with love. This restaurant truly captures the essence of Italian cooking, and I can’t wait to return!

3 Star Rating La Bettola di Terroni offers a cozy ambiance, but my experience was disappointing. The special deep-fried pizza was cold, dry, and hard, resembling a stale beaver tail. Pasta dishes were served warm rather than hot, even on a quiet Wednesday evening—an unacceptable lapse for a restaurant claiming authentic Italian quality. The service was nothing out of the ordinary, and sitting near the window in winter was uncomfortable due to a noticeable draft. Overall, the food and experience failed to meet expectations.

5 Star Rating Without a doubt one of the best japanese restaurants I've ever been to! Their menu is focused around sushi and sashimi but there are a lot of cooked dishes as well. Extremely fresh and high quality ingredients are thoughtfully executed here, and its no wonder why this is one of Toronto's oldest sushi joints. The ingredients are so fresh that I, pleasantly, didn't even recognize the flavors of some fish I often order. The black cod may be the single best cooked fish I've ever tasted and highly recommend! Service is excellent, and the decor is beautiful. Traditional feeling, yet intimate and cozy! The menu is on the pricier side but it's absolutely worth it, considering quality and execution is better than most other places I've had in the same price range. Highly, highly recommend!

4 Star Rating I would give this a solid four stars, but I did have a couple of small issues. The steak was beautifully plated and looked amazing, but I ordered it medium rare and it came out more on the rare side. Since I have texture preferences, I couldn’t finish a good portion of it, though the pieces I did eat were flavorful and tender. The drinks were fantastic, too. The flourless chocolate cake was incredible and paired perfectly with the gelato. The presentation was spot on, and despite the place being busy, the pricing was reasonable. Overall, it was a great experience, though the steak not being cooked exactly as I requested was a minor setback.

3 Star Rating The service was pretty slow and poor.. took a lot of time to attend as well... The food was freshly prepared and had very authentic flavours.. the portion size was a little less as compared to price... The linguine di mare(seafood pasta) had 3 scallops, 4 clams and 3 shrimps to be precise.. it was delicious tho. The gnocchi was also very yummy... The tiramisu was freshly prepared and authentic flavours and the cannolli had a nice taste to it as well... The pizza mushroom was also very tasty... The drink options were nice. had the cocktail snowbird. It was okayish...

5 Star Rating I have tried everything, yet Google will only let me leave Darrel 5 stars. The food was phenomenal. Yet somehow topped by the service!!!!! Fist time trying this restaurant, and it's definitely not the last.

3 Star Rating Trattoria is a decent enough place to eat in the Eaton Center if you're looking for more than fast food. It was pretty full towards 8 pm onwards just before the mall closed. As for the food I wasn't all that impressed with the quality however the presentation was decent. The tuna was a tad rubbery in texture. The eggplant pasta was a semi filling bowl filled with vegetables. All in all I felt the portion sizes could've been a bit bigger. The chocolate cake for desert was also pretty good with the ice cream. I didn't mind my experience here but I'm not sure I would return to eat with other restaurants nearby.

3 Star Rating I visited Sunset Grill for brunch based on a recommendation. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with salmon, some potatoes, and coffee. While the service was good and the atmosphere was okay, I was disappointed with the food. The salmon and toast were alright, but the potatoes lacked seasoning and were too soft. Overall, it wasn’t as nice as I expected.

5 Star Rating The quality of the food, the service, and the atmosphere were excellent. My waffle had cute emoticons drawn with cream, which I really loved. I enjoyed everything and will definitely visit this restaurant again.

5 Star Rating Food was amazing. Place was too crowded, lot of people but hope they arrange table and chairs with a little more room to move easily when eating. Because it’s too busy, servers can’t keep up, so we have to wait to get their attention. If you are patient and wanna eat real yummy food, this place is highly recommended. Enjoy!

5 Star Rating (This is the first time I came to this restaurant near Queen’s station. I initially thought it was just a typical American restaurant, but I found their food quality surprisingly good and the restaurant is also very spacious😸) Actually, I was still struggling what to order after I sat down and browsed the menu, but then a waiter just approached me and recommended “California Benedict”, so I eventually took his opinion. 1. It turned out the Benedict matched so well with both bacon and guacamole, giving it a rich texture and savoury flavour. Meanwhile. the runny egg york and hollandaise sauce also made the Benedict extra juicy and moist. 2. I also saw some reviews giving compliments to the restaurant’s pancakes, so I also ordered the blueberry one. The waiter was so attentive that he suggested ordering just one slice of it, so that I would not feel very full. I also saw some diners complaining that the pancake was quite dry, but then after I added butter to both sides and poured some maple syrup, it’s perfect for me! It striked a balance between the savoury and sweetness for my breakfast. (Remark: The whole “California Benedict” adds up to over 1500 calories, so if you’re not ready for a “heavy” meal, be prepared to share it with someone or just take away the home fries😂) Would like to visit the restaurant again and try out some of the other dishes, such as omelettes and sandwiches! If you’re looking for place for a weekend breakfast, this can definitely be one of your choices! Price: $27.9 (Including tax + tips)
