I loved the vibe and ambiance of the place, unfortunately, I didn't quite enjoy the food. The restaurant had a charming atmosphere and the service was prompt and friendly. However, the breakfast options didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of flavor and quality. Despite this, I appreciate the effort put into creating a welcoming environment.

I really enjoyed this spot for brunch and coffee. The Senator Restaurant offers good variety of breakfast and brunch options. The egg benedict that I ordered along with the homefries side were amazing. Service was also spot on and the waitress was very attentive and the food came our pretty quick. The ambiance and atmosphere were also great.

My husband and I stopped in after a day-long bus tour of Toranto. We were needing a warm drink before getting on the road for the 2 hour return to Niagara Falls, Ontario. They were very busy with reservations but happily welcomed us at the bar for delicious coffee. The server even gave us a refill to go. The bar tender and the manager both took time to answer a couple of questions about the restaurant. Loved the vintage vibe! Would definitely reserve a table if we're back in Toronto!

#TheSenator Review from March 2023…#SundayBrunch at #Torontos oldest, continuously run restaurant, in the same place. Luckily they’ve survived the pandemic, unfortunately they still haven’t returned to full menus and full daily meals. However Brunch today was fabulous. $5 #mimosas made with fresh juice and Prosecco was a wonderful beginning to our meal. #coffee #tea and #warmAppleCider accompanied our dishes. My husband ordered the #buttermilkPancakes with fresh #AppleCompote and #mapleSyrup he really enjoyed them. He also enjoyed a lovely side of #Bacon. I went with their brunch special. While not a full English breakfast, which I had hoped to order, It did have #bakedBeans #eggsOverEasy wonderfully cooked #homeFries #ChallahToast and to make it Canadian I had luscious #peaMealBacon I was fortunate to eat it with some #HPSauce which made it English. The server said they discontinued the Full English Breakfast due to people not eating the Blood Pudding, Heathens!! Overall a wonderful yummy brunch, in a cool place, with an old jazz vibe. My husband talked about eating at The Senator back in his University days or eating lunch while working down the street. I love hearing and seeing Toronto history, I’m glad I had the opportunity to eat here, I’d visit again #eatLocal #LocallySourced #TorontoHistory #TheSenatorRestaurant

Clean, a little claustraphobic and very charming. The food was excellent, we had breakfast. Good prices, not as expensive as you may be expecting. Food came quickly. The space is very tight. With noise it doesn't feel too bad, however be prepared to be sitting pretty close to a strangers table.

Took my mom out for a Valentine’s Day lunch & we loved our experience at Terroni. The aesthetic of the place is timeless and old fashioned with a modern restaurant twist. The pizza was absolutely incredible and tasty. Our server Mathew also made great recommendations. Will be back for sure for the yummy food and amazing hospitality

So I recently had lunch with my old friend and she took me to this beautiful place called Terroni and it feels like I’m having lunch in Quebec, this place was so old and had beautiful vintage vibes. I had gluten-free pasta with tomato and zucchini and it was okay whereas my friend had a salad. I did like the pasta as much as I was expecting it to be and it charged fairly enough for two dishes. I wish I had a pizza instead of pasta that may have tasted better.

Very delicious pizzas, with multiple topping options. The Focu Meu was absolutely delectable and one of the best pizza's I've ever had. The prices were a bit much, especially for the pasta, considering they were smaller portions as well. The service was okay, and the atmosphere was gorgeous.

As much as I was excited to go to this place, the pasta was a let down. But the pizzas and the desserts were yum. The staff is super friendly and helpful with recommendations. If you stick to pizzas then definitely worth it.

Went to Terroni for lunch with my wifey and baby. We had a wonderful time.
The food was amazing 🤩
We had appetizers , main course and dessert! I have to say their Gelato is definitely the best in town. Hazelnut and pistachio flavor 😋.
I would recommend everyone give that a try. Definitely going back !

The first restaurant my wife and I visited when we arrived in Toronto for vacation. The interior design and the décor was absolutely beautiful. The music that was played had a 70's vibe and was fantastic. Our server, Johnathon provided exemplary service. Probably one of the best servers we ever had. But the food...
The food was absolutely sub par and not worth the ridiculous amount of money that was charged. The Cheese Toast appetizer was actually the best part of our meal. My wife had the Steak Neptune. She said the steak was incredible, but the crab meat on top was cheap and had no flavor whatsoever. Our server even had the chef remake the crab meat and it was the same. I had the Porterhouse. It was low quality, on par with a steak I could get at Outback or Longhorn. The Whipped Potatoes were good, but the Creamed Spinach was also flavorless. Well below the quality of a high end, expensive steakhouse.

I recently visited Hy for a dinner with friends, and while it wasn't the most memorable dining experience, it was decent overall. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with dim lighting and comfortable seating.
As for the food, the steaks were cooked to the requested temperature, but they lacked that wow factor. They were tasty enough, but nothing particularly stood out in terms of flavor or presentation. The sides were standard fare - nothing exceptional but served their purpose.
In terms of value for money, I found the prices to be a bit on the higher side compared to similar steakhouses in the area. While I don't mind paying a premium for quality, I expected a bit more from the overall experience.
Overall, Hy is a decent option if you're in the mood for a steak dinner, but don't expect anything extraordinary. It's a good choice for a casual night out, but there are probably better options available if you're looking for a truly exceptional dining experience.

Been here on several occasions, and I love it here. What appeals to me is the live music. Once you step into the restaurant with the live music playing, it already gives you all the feels. The food is always good, I particularly love the table side spinach salad and table Caesar salad as well as the French onion soup ( it was very aromatic and not overly salty ). The cheese bread is a must order in my opinion, and any cut of the steak is good, cooked to your liking. Service is great, staffs are friendly and attentive. The only reason I gave this restaurant 4 stars is because of how loud it can get with the chatter. Each time we went, we sat upstairs and it is still fairly loud conversations overlapping conversations coming from below. You can hear the chatter in one of the videos I posted here.
The ambiance and decor is classic with a touch of modernism. Value is good as well. If you have not dined here before, I suggest that you give it a try.

Overall, great dining experience. I got the, cheese bread, French Onion Soup, crab cake, beef wellington, loaded baked potato, and the banana foster. Everything was delicious! Chairs were very comfortable but the lightning is a bit too dim.

This is definitely a must try place! Everything was tasty - from the beef tenderloin carpaccio to the roast rack of lamb. The steak was cooked nicely and the bananas foster for dessert was an experience. The server was very kind and made us feel welcomed. The place is beautiful and there’s a lot to choose from.

I only can review this place with one word... Amazing!
The food is great, beer is outstanding specially amber 6.2%, and service is just the best 5 stars. Andrew was super nice and friendly. He was always there providing us a premium service. You can find him at the first floor wearing yellow shoes ("the new guy").
We were in the other branch in Montreal and live the identical nice experience.
TOTALLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Thank you 3 Brewers team for this great time.

3 Brewers is a chain of restaurants/pubs that offer similar services across its locations. The beer is average, but it is fairly priced during happy hour time. The poutine with the special fries is very good and so are the nachos. Never order the Calamari, it is very oily and just not good. A few tables have street view, which I like.

Had cauliflower bites, they are excellent. The small pizzas are unique. I had the pork cheek, pizza it's, cheesey, little greasy but a good app or meal for one. Hanna was a great server. Super Patient while I tried to choose what I wanted. She had good suggestions
Prices are fair. Menu is very neat.

We had the best experience celebrating my boyfriend's 40th birthday! The staff made sure that everything was perfect. They reserved a private area that was incredible. The food and the beer are excellent! But Leo was the best! He provided a fantastic service, extremely friendly and always checking on us!
We had a great time!
Thank you so much Leo and 3 brewers to make that day unforgettable!

This place is so consistently good which I really value. It's always a great experience with well crafted plates and great service. Price point is so good and I support this restaurant's philosophy around tipping. I always recommend this place to others and I try my best to go here with every Toronto visit. Last visit was for a reunion of friends who were all impressed and prior was a tasting menu with a friend at the eating bar with a view of the kitchen. Nicely done!
Dong Kim - 2 months ago
The presentation was pretty great. Eating with your eyes is perfectly valid, but I generally place much more value on the experience from eating with my mouth. In that regard, the food was overall just okay. I liked the beef tartare the best, while the burger and suckling pig mains were not great. The flavors were fine, but the textures of the meats could have definitely been better. Taking the great reviews and prices into account, I was quite disappointed.
The staff were all very nice, but maybe too nice. Explaining every single ingredient in every single dish felt a bit excessive. Service speed was okay, but it felt just a little slower than I would have liked. They were definitely doing their best, but the problem is that the place was just too packed. This also meant that having a conversation just across the table was less than comfortable because the atmosphere was a bit loud. The staff make extremely efficient use of all possible walking space, even between tables, so it felt like I couldn't place my bag anywhere other than between my legs.

Fantastic Food & Service, love that this is a living wage restaurant which means the tip is included in the food prices! Ingredients were fresh and every dish was delicious! Highly recommend the station burger & duo of muscovy duck! Must try if you are in Toronto!

Have to say this is a premiere Toronto eatery. As a traveler from the States, I did research on a "Canadian" centric restaurant and this popped up. Silly me dropped by on a Wednesday telling myself I should have made a reservation and unfortunately could not get seated that night. The very next day, I made a reservation for Friday. Jade was my server and she did not disappoint. I let her know I was looking for either a light main course or a couple of appetizers since I was in town for a Dodger @ Blue Jays game. Jade assisted me cheerily with picking out a couple of appetizers that fit my palette and even allowed me to sample a couple of wines to pair well with the dishes. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Rillettes and Chicken Fried Oyster Mushrooms with a glass of Riesling and can honestly say the mushrooms were to die for! I'll be sending plenty of friends and family to enjoy a meal at Richmond Station, with a reservation of course! Thanks again, Jade!

Amazing tasting menu that is reasonably priced. Wine pairing is also excellent. The sommelier is the nicest lady that I have met. Service is great. Desserts are a bit too sweet for my taste but are delicious nevertheless. What a great time.

dropped by with a reso before a show and was super accommodating when we asked to change tables. vibes and atmosphere was cute & upscale at a great location. we found the service to be super attentive and quick with getting the apps & mains out.
unfortunately, all our mains didn’t come out as well as we’d like (considering the price point) with all being a little too al dente. we concluded the pizza was our favourite and would be the only thing we’d try more of.

*Winterlicious Menu*
FOOD: the winterlicious menu has failed me completely, food quality and quantity was really not good.
• Oysters: very small, does not have much freshness taste.
• Some kind of poached fish: 1 SMALL PEACE of bland, mushy fish sitting in a flavorless broth with an overcooked peace of carrot on top.
• Sashimi platter: 5 kinds of fish with 2 small pieces each. It was ok but I'm surprised that there's no salmon.
• Wagyu Steak: 100% not wagyu. It's very very bad, very dry and tough. Portion is Tiny! The color of wasabi is quite off to me I'm not sure what happened to it.
• Miso Cheesecake: zero miso flavor, it's totally texture of a mousse not a cheesecake.
SERVICE: after the food is served my waitress is no where to be seen. Service was ok but it's so hard to get my server or any server over when I sit in the semi private booth/room. They seem to be really short on staff.
VIBE: I feel like they been trying to make it an upscale restaurant but the place looks exactly like a normal izakaya or a local Japanese restaurant.

Nami is a wonderful Japanese restaurant serving well made sushi and sashimi. The ambience and decor is put together really well and has great quality seafood. I've had the best shrimp tempura here and sushi rolls were amazing! Yakuza ice cream was also flavourful. I would come here again for the sushi rolls. Overall the menu is pricey but because of the great quality of food, I would say 4.5/5.

Came here for the winterlicious lunch deal, 3 courses for $55 which isn't too bad once in a while. Great quality fish and it's about as good as it gets before jumping to the next tier (omakase). Service was a bit slow and we had to flag the server down to order, refill our water, and to get the bill.

-unagi was exceptional. You instantly taste the smokey flavour and it's almost like you call smell the burning straw. Highly recommend
-black cod is also fresh tasting, the meat has a structure to it (doesn't taste extremely soft like cheaper fish), smokey flavour
-sashimi is very fresh
-tempura is average
-desserts are average
-service is friendly and the restaurant is clean
-the traditional Japanese interior design is beautiful

We enjoyed a nice Sunday evening dinner here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday.
Service was fast and friendly. Our drinks, appetizers and meal all arrived in a timely manner.
The restaurant is located inside of CF Eaton’s Centre and most closely accessible if you enter the mall from the Root’s store sign on Yonge St.
The menu has a good amount of variety in terms of food, drinks and desserts. The seating provides a view of the outdoors (Trinity Square).
Prices are pretty reasonable but likely reflect the smaller portion size of the meals.
I would be happy to return for another visit.

Well,... what a surprise! This restaurant sits in the Eaton Center in Toronto, but this is not your typical "mall" restaurant.
Classic, homemade pasta... a very nice atmosphere and excellent service.
My wife had the homemade gnocchi in a light red sauce - absolutely wonderful. I had the seafood linguine, shrimp, mussels and calamari in a light and delicious cream sauce - best I've had!
Highly, highly recommend this as a spot for a great culinary experience!

Quick sit down Italian food located inside busy Eaton Centre.
Ordered the Pan Seared Lasagna, Caesar salad and ice cream dessert. All items tasted great. Bolagnese sauce on the crispy edges lasagna was delicious. Caesar salad was fresh. Finished off with not too sweet scoops of sorbet and ice cream. Next time, we will order pizza as it looks great.
Decor of restaurant was modern, good mix of regular and bar seating. Service was friendly, quick and efficient. The only downside was that tables are placed very close together, so you can hear neighbors' conversations.

Really not bad, Definitely take this rating with a grain or 2 of salt cause it's only from one experience and it's really not fair To make final conclusions from a one time experience.
And of course don't forget that individual people will have individual preferences which excuse their ideas of what is good and what is Not.
I had seared tuna with a whole bunch of pickled vegetables I think it was. It was like way too much pickled vegetables. They were too hard and crunchy and I really don't think that the sourness of the veggies with the flavor of the tuna blended well. The tuna was really good but I also really like tuna and I don't really like pickled vegetables so like I said, do you love pickle vegetables and tuna, this might be pickled vegetable and tuna heaven.

This was a random visit, was brought here by a friend for a quick bite before we went on with our day. We were there 10 minutes before the kitchen closed and they welcomed us still. Food came rather fast... and they didn't rush us out despite the store was already closed.
As for the food, it's actually good!!!
Verdict: Worth a try if you're trying to breakaway from your standard eateries :)

It was my friend's birthday & we decided to have breakfast at Sunset Grill as Waterloo's is one of my favorites. The Richmond Hill's Sunset Grill was nice as well but I ordered regular coffee & it was served after 15 -20 minutes with our food which was a negative point for me. My friend ordered the regular breakfast which was nice, my second friend ordered a chicken wrap which was nice as well. I ordered a Chicken Club Sandwich which was kind of bland. The service wasn't up to the mark even though the restaurant was fully staffed, but it took ages for our order, coffee, and everything. It was an overall okay experience for us.
