Stopped in for lunch. Was surprised by a lunch special on the menu which was awesome. Pizza and salad or sandwich and salad. Both great value. The food came out quickly and was tasty. The salad was a generous portion and was full of pear and walnuts. Very tasty. The pizza was a perfect lunch size. Was good. Good price aa well. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. Great place to meet a friend and have a catch up lunch. Overall was very pleased with the experience and will go back.

Pizza was good. I ordered the lemon ricotta on a GF crust. The gluten free crust was much better than most but still lacked flavor. My kids split a pizza and enjoyed it very much. It was very relaxed in there. Staff was very friendly and kind. Only complaint was a hair plastered to the inside of my cup that grossed me out but these things happen. I would eat here again but not often because it is a little on the pricier side for pizza. They do have some interesting flavor options though that I would like to try in the future.

Really nice Italian spot- nice drinks, good service and ambience. We got the Espresso Martini Cocktail. We also got a Caesar Salad and the Lemon Ricotta Pizza and everything tasted really good.

My partner and I visited yesterday for dinner and it was perfect after a busy day. I loved that there was a fully vegan pizza option and it was delicious, the crust nice and soft. The focaccia appetizer was salted and delicious as well. Magnus was our server and he was amazing, he was very polite, professional and thoughtful. We will definitely be back.

I came here with my sister for the first time and we had a wonderful time! We’re both vegetarians and there were so many options for us to choose from! The staff also made good recommendations! their vegetarian and vegan menu is extensive! It’s like heaven lol I have not seen that before at an Italian resto - thank you!
I got the fettuccine with cream sauce with vegan sausage - 10/10! I also had a glass of their red house wine, our desert was so good too! The food is fresh and the vibes are immaculate. I can’t wait to return!

A restaurant doesn’t survive for 30 years by chance—it takes dedication to consistently delivering the quality and standards that keep patrons coming back. This location of Il Fornello is a perfect example of that, maintaining its reputation for exceptional food, reasonable prices, and attentive staff.
Although it had been a year since my last visit, I was delighted to see my favorite dishes still on the menu, along with some enticing new daily specials.
We started with the Avocado Cashew Caesar, which features a plant-based dressing and cheese. I had no idea it was vegan—it was rich and satisfying, with generous chunks of avocado and plenty of cashews, making it the perfect starter. We also shared a plate of gigantic warm olives served with crostini. It was my first time trying warm olives, and I’m now a convert—I’ll never eat them cold again!
For my main, I chose the Orecchiette Funghi with added chicken. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, packed with wild mushrooms, and coated in a luscious, truffle creamy sauce I couldn’t get enough of. The generous portion was a bonus! The Fig Pizza was another standout—its combination of prosciutto, fig, mascarpone, arugula, parmigiano, and honey hit the perfect balance of sweet and savory. It was devoured in no time.
Our server, Suzanne, elevated the experience even further. She was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with her recommendations, always attentive without being intrusive. It felt like she could anticipate our needs before we even asked.
Overall, we had a fantastic time and can’t wait to return soon. This visit only solidified why Il Fornello has been a staple for three decades—it truly lives up to its legacy.

Lovely Italian spot on the Danforth. Great food and reasonably priced as well. The gnocchi and bruschetta were fantastic.
Staff were amazing, our waitress, Suzanne, was super attentive and funny.

As a lot of these reviews say, this place gets PACKED at lunch and dinner time, especially during Friday and Saturday nights. It is a hot spot to dine in on the Danforth, as the food is very good. Reservations are essential and it will get very loud!
I’ve been going here for a while now, and my most recent dinner with a few friends was lovely. Our server was kind and helpful, even though I know she was spread thin! The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, but again, it gets very rowdy!
For my appetizer, I got their garlic-cheese bread and it was so yummy! For my main, I got their mussels in a spicy tomato broth. It came with bread and butter was absolutely delicious!
Lastly, for dessert, I got their New York cheesecake slice; I ALWAYS have to get one, it is so delectable. My friends got their creamy gnocchi and raspberry tartufos.
I was blown away by the gnocchi when I had a taste; I will definitely try it when I come back! During my dine-ins before, I have gotten the butternut squash soup: IT IS HEAVENLY, I would also highly recommend!
This place is great for a night out with a group of friends. The food is consistently good and you can see how hard the chefs work. But I will emphasize this once more: reservations are essential, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. And don’t be surprised by the noise level!

Me and my family have been coming here for years. The service is always friendly and the food is always delicious! The sushi is fresh- especially the salmon. The grilled items are cooked just right and smell amazing when they arrive at the table. This place is our go-to for sushi in the area, and we will be eating here for many more years to come.

Katsu is one of our local Danforth go-to's & staples if we are craving Japanese; whether its dine-in or via Uber Eats. And during the summer we enjoy their front patio. Great sushi, great food, great prices. The manager and staff are just lovely, so friendly and attentive. If we dine-in we switch between the dinner AYCE (even at lunch because of the wider selection) or a la carte. They offer great lunch specials too. One of my absolute favourite dishes is the Japan Salmon Salad roll, and I love enjoying our meals with hot sake when we dine-in. My husband's fave dishes are their California roll, BBQ pork, gyoza, and salmon teriyaki. I really really miss their hot & sour soup. Love this spot!!!

What wonderful service! The hostess is such a sweet, vibrant woman and the food was delicious! My bestie took me here for my birthday and I loved it! Wasn't able to take much pictures because was too busy enjoying the delicious salmon and sushi. (Gold sushi is so good!) clean restaurant and quiet! Bought take out dinner for my husband as well !

My and wife visited this restaurant recently and the restaurant looks good from outside and is clean and nice inside but nothing crazy. The service was good and responsive so no issues there. We ordered all you can sushi and it was one of the most limited choices that I have seen in an all you can menu. Moreover, the food was not delicious like other similar places. Their salmon rose was tons of rice with small amount of salmon for example or their other sushi’s did not have delicious sushi taste that you expect. Their salads was surprisingly bad. I can make a better mango salad at home easily. Overall the food was fine but nothing special in my view.

My friends and I are visiting the area and saw this place! We went in and we're greeted super nice and quick. Our waitress was so friendly and gave us recommendations. Since it was our first time here, she let us pick folded up papers out of a box and whatever we picked out, we would get free next time! So next time we'll be getting a strawberry shake, salmon roll, and takoyaki for free! The music is really calming so between that and the food it'll definitely make you feel sleepy and relaxed. The hot sake was good too! MUST TRY THE BEEF UDON WITH BROTH!!!

Smallest Tim Hortons in Toronto at Line 2 TTC Pape station. Most of the customers are TTC commuters. Very busy in the morning. Only takeout location with Pape Avenue street entrance and inside the TTC Pape station sales window. Friendly staff and Good Customer Service too. Overall Okay Tim Hortons.

This is the best Tim hortons ive visited all of the 32 years of my life. You might think im over exaggerating but hear me out… i come here 6 days a week, during the morning rush and after work rush hour. The employees are very genuine and hardworking. Its not just about taking your order and calling out “next!”. They do more than that. Theyre quick and always have a smile on with amazing energy.
I see these employees more than family..
Everyone is super efficient and hard working! They definitely need the recognition! Thank you so much.

My wife and I were in the Pape and Danforth area and were looking for somewhere to eat. We came across Simone's Caribbean Restaurant and my wife, being of Jamaican descent, wanted to give this place a try. What we found was great and disappointing all at the same time.
The place is just a stone's throw from the TTC Pape Subway Station, which is a great location to be in. The place is nice inside and feels very welcoming and so was the staff. There was a strange thing standing out to us, when we spoke to the person behind the counter, they explained that we can dine in, but everything is served in take-out containers. We were both very confused by this set up, but gave the food a try.
My wife ordered Barbecued Chicken with rice and peas, with a side order of Festival. She loved the rice and peas, but she was disappointed with the Chicken. She said it was a little dry and only the skin had any real flavor. She liked the festival and said it was cooked well. I had the Jerk Chicken Salad, as the idea was interesting. I was very happy with it and the Jerk Chicken spice was very well balanced with the coolness of the salad. It was a great meal.
We both got Beef patties to go and had them later on and found them to be decent and a great snack for later in the day.
In closing, we found Simone’s a mixed bag. Some things were great while some were ok. The place not being a true “eat-in” restaurant, even though it is set up as such, was a little strange, but all in all it was a good experience and we will be back. If you want some good Caribbean take-out and live in the area, this is a great place to give a try.

Food was delicious & portion size was great! Be aware that they only do takeout style, so no table service, but you can eat at the tables they have. Server was not friendly at all, a bit stand-offish. Food took 30+ mins to come with no apology for the delay.

We ordered takeout from Simone’s for the first time tonight. Not only was this the best Caribbean food I’ve had, it was honestly one of the best meals of my life. We ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas, and oxtail with Johnny cakes. Both came with a side of coleslaw and we added an order of cod fish fritters. Everything was incredible. The portions are very generous so we thought we would have leftovers for lunch tomorrow, but everything was so good that we couldn’t stop eating. There was a bit of a wait for the order (30min) but I would wait 3 hours for this happily if I had to. Service was also friendly. Thank you to the Simone’s team for a wonderful dinner

On Boxing Day, this Bagel Time was the only bagel shop open within a half hour walk of the downtown core. We bundled up and made the trek over to the Danforth, our mouths watering with anticipation. Unfortunately the bagels did not live up to our expectations. The “everything” in the bagels we ordered seemed to consist of sesame and poppy seeds only, and the texture was too chewy. Most importantly, the taste was just OK, and they lacked salt. I’ve had fresh bagels from restaurants with similar menus and wood oven, that have exploded in my mouth with fresh-baked flavour. None of that here.
Dee Grossman - 3 years ago
Dense, chewy, tasty. Got the salmon and cream cheese on an everything bagel. Very generous with the cream cheese, salmon was fine. Went there towards the end of the day and they gave me a free bagel to go. Good customer service!
David Y - 11 months ago
Best bagels! They make the bagels at a wood oven! Its so tasty and fresh! I am Kettlemans lover from Ottawa but after trying this place I think I have a new favourite Montreal style bagels place!
I only tried the sesame bagels, it was great and warm just got out of the oven. They have other types chocolate onion blueberry chia seeds and gluten free options too.
Also tried their cream cheese fluffy and fresh! Absolutely recommend that place! Staff was nice too!

Amazing authentic Japanese on the Danforth!!!
This place was a wonderful experience. We have been here once before and the takoyaki is genuinely the best in the city that we had to come back. The server was attentive (gave us two glasses to share our pop which was so thoughtful!) and honest about food (specifically the level of spice I would be in for). We had the Spicy ramen and pork katsu curry. The portions were great, the atmosphere is top notch and over all such a pleasant experience. Can’t wait to come back and try more items from the menu!
brandon manning - 4 weeks ago
We ordered the takoyaki and shrimp okonomiyaki as our appetizer. Both were delicious.
The nabeyaki udon was good. The zaru soba tasted like what you expected, just a regular zaru soba.
It was a hearty meal and definitely great having after work.
We went around 6pm, expected for it to be a little busy but surprisingly was not. It was just us dining in but there were a lot of people who ordered food to take out.
It felt like a mom and pop store. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy. I felt very relaxed and comfortable dining in there. Def recommend.

I’ve been eating here for over ten years and have never had a bad bite of food. Tonight I had the karaage ramen and it was just large enough to feel full but small enough to walk home comfortably.
Vincent Hachey - 5 months ago
Wow I had such delicious and satisfying meal ☺️ I ordered the Karaage Ramen (karaage was put on the side, which I prefer) and it was so yummy. Usually when I have Ramen, the broth tends to be on the saltier side, but this was a perfect blend of smooth and rich flavors. You can really feel and taste the care and love the chefs put into the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really relaxing too! And the service was excellent 👌 ahh overall I'd recommend visiting this quiet, kawaii, and cozy little spot on Danforth!! You won't regret it ❤️❤️

Mr.Pide is a well known Turkish - style traditional restaurant that creates fresh homemade Turkish pizzas and desserts from scratch. It’s a great spot to grab a quick bite with your friends and family if you near Greek town, also don’t forget to try the Turkish tea ! Bon appetite 😋
Lulu Nabat - 2 years ago
I get why Mr Pide is a neighbourhood institution. The pides are amazing: tasty mix-and-match flavours, sometimes traditional sometimes fusion, generous with toppings and not overly bready, reasonably priced for the size and quality. The side garlic sauce and tomato dip are fresh and give a great flavour kick that will keep you dunking that pide.
People here are very welcoming and friendly, kitchen speed is reasonable, and service is efficient. Definitely my go-to in the area for pide!
David Y - a year ago
It’s one of the best “lahmacun” (Turkish pizza with ground beef) I have had in Canada and USA. It’s a bit spicy, but you can try “etli ekmek”, which is similar to “lahmacun” and isn’t spicy. I have tried their pide as well. Although, pide was good, but not as good as lahmacun. I would recommend mixed pide, which has sample of each pide, so you can taste each of them, spinach, beef, sausage, ground beef, etc. Staff are friendly and it’s pretty clean. The service is s bit slow, since they bake freshly, and definitely it worth to wait.
sheamus - 2 years ago
It is an okay Pide restaurant in town, coz of the 4.6 stars review, I visited this place to try out it but I wasn't that happy as the food is not bad but definitely not even a 4 stars. There were many things showing online in the photos but in reality they were not in the menu, not sure why. We tried #1, #11 & #20 and I would say they cheap out on cheese. Another thing I would mention is that this place is a bit over priced.
Overall staff is friendly and service is not bad but they need to work on some exciting recipes that could attract people from far.

Service was standard but the Lime chips won me over! Almost got a second order to take to-go because it was that good.
Also - prices are good here as well.
