Very disappointed with the pizza quality, I felt like I ingested a plate of grease, + the in house sausage looked more like ground beef. I finished it because I did not want to seem rude. Staff was nice, venue is quiet and clean but the one thing I came for was nice pizza, and sadly that didn’t happen.

Loved the food and the variety. They certainly know pizza and what tastes amazing. Would visit again given the chance.

Ate at this location the other day. The pizza I ordered was burnt on top and on both sides of the crust. We ended up sending it bsck. They were nice and gave us another pizza but the cheese wasn't melted at all and tbh was barely cooked. Also the restaurant wasn't busy, and since the ossington location is so good we felt let down. Overall, it was really disappointing.

Great pizzeria. The wood fire oven taste is so present it is the star of the pizza. I really enjoyed my visit there and so did my family. Flavors are spot on. Nothing was overwhelming or over seasonned. Service was very good, discreet, sufficient, and efficient. We will return we already promised each other that much. Hope you get to visit too. Let me know what you thought. Bon apetit.

Super cute restaurant, a very kid friendly, family-friendly vibe. Our waiter was very nice but he accidentally forgot to key in our food. So it was quite late. He was very apologetic and owned up to the mistake, so we figured maybe he was new. It was not a big deal. He was very sweet about it. The food i ordered was ok. It was a new spicey sausage and rapini pasta and I should have just stuck to their classic pizza. It was average tasting. My friends who are vegetarian ordered the cacio de pepe pizza and the beyond the meat pizza. They raved about the beyond the meat pizza but felt the cacio de pepe was just ok. We also ordered dessert, lemon ricotta cheesecake, and Tiramisu. The Tiramisu was a hit. None of us enjoyed the cheesecake.

As a lot of these reviews say, this place gets PACKED at lunch and dinner time, especially during Friday and Saturday nights. It is a hot spot to dine in on the Danforth, as the food is very good. Reservations are essential and it will get very loud!
I’ve been going here for a while now, and my most recent dinner with a few friends was lovely. Our server was kind and helpful, even though I know she was spread thin! The restaurant itself is nicely decorated, but again, it gets very rowdy!
For my appetizer, I got their garlic-cheese bread and it was so yummy! For my main, I got their mussels in a spicy tomato broth. It came with bread and butter was absolutely delicious!
Lastly, for dessert, I got their New York cheesecake slice; I ALWAYS have to get one, it is so delectable. My friends got their creamy gnocchi and raspberry tartufos.
I was blown away by the gnocchi when I had a taste; I will definitely try it when I come back! During my dine-ins before, I have gotten the butternut squash soup: IT IS HEAVENLY, I would also highly recommend!
This place is great for a night out with a group of friends. The food is consistently good and you can see how hard the chefs work. But I will emphasize this once more: reservations are essential, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. And don’t be surprised by the noise level!

I couldn't be happier with the experience we had at this restaurant for my son's first birthday celebration. They graciously accommodated our party of 15, which included two babies and a toddler, with such warmth and hospitality.
From allowing us to bring in balloons and a cake to providing exceptional service that went above and beyond our expectations, every detail was thoughtfully handled. The restaurant itself was impeccably clean and spacious, creating a comfortable environment for our gathering.
The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of options to suit everyone's tastes. Our entire group thoroughly enjoyed every dish.
Thank you again to the staff for making this milestone celebration so memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

We had a reservation and everything was on time and organized. The food was very pretty and was incredibly filling. The portions are not too big and not too small, and I was quite content after my meal. I ordered the plant-based orecchiette funghi and I loved the taste!

What wonderful service! The hostess is such a sweet, vibrant woman and the food was delicious! My bestie took me here for my birthday and I loved it! Wasn't able to take much pictures because was too busy enjoying the delicious salmon and sushi. (Gold sushi is so good!) clean restaurant and quiet! Bought take out dinner for my husband as well !

Katsu will forever be my favourite restaurant.
Basically I’ve been coming here for about 10 years now, and whether you are ordering a bento box, or fully satisfying yourself with all you can eat, every meal and every taste at this restaurant is amazing.
I want to start off by saying the owner is such a kind and wonderful person, and really cares about each customer. I see her working every time I come in, and she is very passionate about her restaurant!
Secondly, I wanted to say that I thought there were sushi chefs working in the kitchen. Incorrect, there are magicians working here, because how is the food seriously that delicious?
And now for the menu. Okay, so you can choose to do all you can eat for a set price of around $37 (dinner), and I must say with all the options on the menu this is a really good deal! Or, if you’re not as hungry there are plenty of other cheaper options that are fully satisfying. Before having all you can eat I used to order a bento box (Natsu combo $13.99) that had my choice of meat (teriyaki chicken) with rice, shrimp and veggie tempura, dumplings, soup and california sushi! Such a big box for such a good deal!
I will say that the all you can eat really opened up my eyes to what this restaurant is capable of, and I’ll go through my favourite dishes that I recommend from the AYCE menu:
Appetizers:
Green salad
Dumplings (a MUST have)
Beef teriyaki
Tempura Shrimp (veggie is also good)
Tempura Squid (this one over Calamari)
Takoyaki
Sushi:
Danforth Roll (Deepfried, must try)
Green Dragon Roll (very yum)
Gold Dragon Roll (Salmon lovers must try this)
Dynamite Roll
California/Spicy California Roll
Avocado Roll (small sushi with just avocado)
Salmon Roll (small sushi with just salmon)
Salmon & Avocado Hand Roll
Salmon Sushi (Salmon Sashimi on a bed of rice)
Sashimi:
I cannot express this enough: Katsu’s salmon sashimi is to die for! My favourite sashimi, the best I’ve ever had. I have cravings for this taste. The texture is smooth, melts in your mouth. Amazing. And if you don’t think you’re a sashimi person, just give 1 piece of salmon sashimi here a try. Dip it in some soy sauce and be changed forever.
Also the atmosphere and ambience in this restaurant is very warm, cozy and welcoming. I come here as often as I can with friends and my fiancé, and am happy when I get the opportunity to introduce new sushi lovers to Katsu.
Anyways, yeah that’s my review. Thank you for reading this far if you have. And thank you Katsu for years of delicious meals! This is forever my favourite restaurant.

Their food is pretty good! I like how their rolls are small and tasty. They are not big rolls that you can't even put in your mouth. The restaurant's decor is also pretty nice.

Tried Katsu's all-you-can-eat. There's no difference between their lunch and dinner ayce offering, and I'd say this was lunch quality at dinner prices. While they did have over 80 items on the menu, I've seen more at that price point and at a better quality level (though this wasn't bad).
Usual suspects were on there - sushi, sashimi, rolls, grilled and deep fried good, Asian icecream desserts, etc. Freshness was ok, neither good or bad. Service was quick. I know people who like this place so maybe their regular offering is better.

The food was delicious, I always try to order the fuyu bento box when I stop by here for either lunch dinner.
You will receive a great value of food items. Definitely the spot to by when you're interested in sushi.
Been going here for years, and everytime I stop by the quality has been maintained exceptionally well!
Added addition is a complimentary dessert after your dine in meal 😊
Update June 07 2022 - Went with our family today, food was very good, atmosphere was very nice, with courteous staff. Definitely come again! 😁

Food was delicious & portion size was great! Be aware that they only do takeout style, so no table service, but you can eat at the tables they have. Server was not friendly at all, a bit stand-offish. Food took 30+ mins to come with no apology for the delay.

My wife and I were in the Pape and Danforth area and were looking for somewhere to eat. We came across Simone's Caribbean Restaurant and my wife, being of Jamaican descent, wanted to give this place a try. What we found was great and disappointing all at the same time.
The place is just a stone's throw from the TTC Pape Subway Station, which is a great location to be in. The place is nice inside and feels very welcoming and so was the staff. There was a strange thing standing out to us, when we spoke to the person behind the counter, they explained that we can dine in, but everything is served in take-out containers. We were both very confused by this set up, but gave the food a try.
My wife ordered Barbecued Chicken with rice and peas, with a side order of Festival. She loved the rice and peas, but she was disappointed with the Chicken. She said it was a little dry and only the skin had any real flavor. She liked the festival and said it was cooked well. I had the Jerk Chicken Salad, as the idea was interesting. I was very happy with it and the Jerk Chicken spice was very well balanced with the coolness of the salad. It was a great meal.
We both got Beef patties to go and had them later on and found them to be decent and a great snack for later in the day.
In closing, we found Simone’s a mixed bag. Some things were great while some were ok. The place not being a true “eat-in” restaurant, even though it is set up as such, was a little strange, but all in all it was a good experience and we will be back. If you want some good Caribbean take-out and live in the area, this is a great place to give a try.

We ordered takeout from Simone’s for the first time tonight. Not only was this the best Caribbean food I’ve had, it was honestly one of the best meals of my life. We ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas, and oxtail with Johnny cakes. Both came with a side of coleslaw and we added an order of cod fish fritters. Everything was incredible. The portions are very generous so we thought we would have leftovers for lunch tomorrow, but everything was so good that we couldn’t stop eating. There was a bit of a wait for the order (30min) but I would wait 3 hours for this happily if I had to. Service was also friendly. Thank you to the Simone’s team for a wonderful dinner

Was stuck in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. Decided to order some soul food, away from home. Took a blind chance with God's help, and was divinely directed to this fine establishment. God is always right. Seriously this food gave me the energy to shave off 3 to 4 days off my hospital stay. No joke. The food gave me some kind of power. So delicious. Amen

We ordered the takoyaki and shrimp okonomiyaki as our appetizer. Both were delicious.
The nabeyaki udon was good. The zaru soba tasted like what you expected, just a regular zaru soba.
It was a hearty meal and definitely great having after work.
We went around 6pm, expected for it to be a little busy but surprisingly was not. It was just us dining in but there were a lot of people who ordered food to take out.
It felt like a mom and pop store. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was cozy. I felt very relaxed and comfortable dining in there. Def recommend.

I’ve been eating here for over ten years and have never had a bad bite of food. Tonight I had the karaage ramen and it was just large enough to feel full but small enough to walk home comfortably.

Wow I had such delicious and satisfying meal ☺️ I ordered the Karaage Ramen (karaage was put on the side, which I prefer) and it was so yummy. Usually when I have Ramen, the broth tends to be on the saltier side, but this was a perfect blend of smooth and rich flavors. You can really feel and taste the care and love the chefs put into the food. The atmosphere of the restaurant was really relaxing too! And the service was excellent 👌 ahh overall I'd recommend visiting this quiet, kawaii, and cozy little spot on Danforth!! You won't regret it ❤️❤️

My friend and i were seated very quickly and served tea. The interior was very nice and i loved their tea cups. Ordered 3 dishes during lunch and the total came out to 30 dollars after tax, what a DEAL. The service was efficient and every server had a smile on their face. I will definitely recommend this place to others.

Got take out from here and it was so fresh. The sushi pizza was one of the prettiest I’ve seen in a while. I would’ve gotten just mayo with it instead of spicy mayo but that was on me. The mango avo roll was my fave, the mango was so sweet!
Hillary Chu - a year ago
Putting pickled ginger in sushi roll is lazy. It's a condiment, like wasabi, and you don't put it in the centre of sushi (I hope).I understand the budget is tight w the inflation, but please come up with something better that makes customer feel worthy paying for.
I ordered Sushi Tray F ($46.95) and Spring rolls ($6.49, Free w order over $30) for delivery.
Overall, im happy with the meal, except the 12 pcs of ginger rolls. It's a lack of creativity, if not underestimating your customer. I've been to this restaurant since it's opened, think it was more thoughtful then, with the owner himself in the sushi bar.
Rice was cooked properly (it's important to me it's not pasty), and seasoning was great.
Ubereats: so I took the free spring roll which was great, but the tip was calculated for the % of sushi + springroll+ tax. Then springroll was deducted in the end. Small thing, but a freebie should not be in the calculation.
I heard this is the same for other restaurants "deals", tax and tip are calculated for the pre-discount price (unless the customer is not mindful to calculate manually). I felt somewhat tricked.

I have wanted to try this restaurant for a long time and I finally went there today. The staff was very friendly and the pide I ordered was super delicious! The soup tasted very yummy too! Highly recommended 😊
WAY EASY LIFE - a year ago
I get why Mr Pide is a neighbourhood institution. The pides are amazing: tasty mix-and-match flavours, sometimes traditional sometimes fusion, generous with toppings and not overly bready, reasonably priced for the size and quality. The side garlic sauce and tomato dip are fresh and give a great flavour kick that will keep you dunking that pide.
People here are very welcoming and friendly, kitchen speed is reasonable, and service is efficient. Definitely my go-to in the area for pide!

Mr.Pide is a well known Turkish - style traditional restaurant that creates fresh homemade Turkish pizzas and desserts from scratch. It’s a great spot to grab a quick bite with your friends and family if you near Greek town, also don’t forget to try the Turkish tea ! Bon appetite 😋

It is an okay Pide restaurant in town, coz of the 4.6 stars review, I visited this place to try out it but I wasn't that happy as the food is not bad but definitely not even a 4 stars. There were many things showing online in the photos but in reality they were not in the menu, not sure why. We tried #1, #11 & #20 and I would say they cheap out on cheese. Another thing I would mention is that this place is a bit over priced.
Overall staff is friendly and service is not bad but they need to work on some exciting recipes that could attract people from far.

Well I think they got a lot of fame because they serve pork shawarma.
I had chicken wrap and it comes with thick naan and fries and tomatoes
Anything else you want to add, even lettuce, is at extra charge! We also had chicken dinner box and that is a very big portion
Beware if you are Muslim and / or don’t eat pork, they prefer the meat, even chicken, on the exact same spot as they do pork
