Amazing private venue! Elegant and quaint environment with delicious food! The dishes were incredible! Even the croutons on the Caesar salad melted in your mouth with delight! Too much food so we took home to-go-containers. Great place to celebrate with friend and family for birthdays and occasions!

Amazing food and amazing service, can’t get better than that!
We had reservations for a Saturday night and it was super busy, great ambiance! We got a high top table at the bar which it was perfect!
Our food was very tasty, steak cooked perfect!
Thanks to Sal for such amazing service, going above and beyond for us!

I very much enjoyed the filet mignon, i had it medium rare and it was cooked just right, and super juicy and tender. I also really liked their fries - thin, crispy, salted perfectly, and not greasy at all. Appetizer salad was fresh and came with a fair amount of blue cheese and that paired well with the light dressing. My only complaint was that I ordered a cheesecake dessert and it tasted like a store bought frozen one, so i would skip that item on the menu.

Fantastic.
I was not awarebthat Toronto had a Mortons! This is the 2nd Mortons I've dined in in Canada then, the other one being the erstwhile Vancouver location. I have also dined at Mortons in Seattle, Chicago, and Portland Oregon.
This location ngl had the best ambiance. Check out the picture of the ceiling light, quite a sight. The wine rack has aura.
Our table ordered a 22 oz bone in, a NY steak, a chicken dish, French onion soup, and crab cakes. All exceeded expectations.
Update: I've tried many other steaks here in future visits. The prime rib hear is royal-level. The server brought me the raw cut of meat to confirm it would meet my expectations which was nice. I do miss the days when they had a full blown live menu and would bring it to the table.
Dress code here is business casual, but I'm thankful to Mortons that they allow me to dine in street casual. I wore my fuzzy tuque and they were nonefheless hapoy to give me A+ service at reception and at the table. I like this about Mortons, they are inclusive and accommodating in spite of their express dress code. And the Mortons dining crowd is generally accomodating of departures from the dress code.
Prices are reasonable. $20 for that French onion soup and $98 for such a big juicy steak and first class service is a steal.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a generally pleasant experience. The atmosphere was inviting, with a nice ambiance that made it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. The location is convenient, adding to its appeal. The staff were friendly and attentive, contributing to a positive dining experience.
I ordered the Jambalaya, and while it was decent, I found the portion to be smaller than expected, and the flavor was just average. However, the other dishes we tried were quite good, making up for the slight disappointment with the Jambalaya.
It was a bit busy during my visit, but the service remained efficient. Overall, this is a solid restaurant that I would recommend for a visit, especially for those looking to enjoy a variety of dishes in a pleasant setting.

We made a reservation for Friday lunch on the patio to make the most of last days of summer and patio season.
We were seated very close to the bar and we could see everything coming out of the downstairs kitchen and being served to other customers; everything looked so delicious.
We ordered “Thai Chicken Salad”. The ingredients were fresh and the sauce was very delicious.
The service is fast and staff are friendly.
Parking could be a challenge here, but it’s perfectly accessible through subway.

Perfect place to watch rugby. Friendly and engaging staff. Prices were excellent. Serving sizes were generous (not overly). Variety of food choices were satisfying. We had a lamb plate and BBQ ribs special, they were delicious. Heated patio with lots of light. Our server was knowledgeable about the selection of wines.

They have a nice rooftop patio/bar that's great for date nights or hanging out with friends. The food was not bad although it's your standard pub/bar fare. The fish and chips were crispy and the fries were like Costco fries (yum), and the portions are actually huge. Service wasn't bad either but sometimes quite hard to flag down our server since she was always busy making drinks at the bar too. Definitely a cool place to go to, and I'm glad I tried, but probably not for me again!

We had a terrific time on the rooftop patio. Service was terrific, I really enjoyed my avocado peach salad, my partner enjoyed his clubhouse sandwich but it could have used a bit more lettuce and tomato. All in all a nice place to spend a warm summer afternoon!

Never thought that I'd be so caught up in ceramic art from middle age Europe, but here we are. This gallery has every different and wacky type of ceramic ranging from ancient China to 300 years ago in Germany.
It's almost like time traveling back in time but I can only see what the people of that era were eating off of; but still... Very cool!!!
Family friendly, good atmosphere, educational. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Next to the ROM (a Royal Ontario Museum- edited and corrected), the Gardiner Museum is at the top of my list in my books. They have well curated permanent and special exhibits that are interesting and awe inspiring. Even the building architecture is gorgeous with its modern cubic contours situated between heritage buildings.
I went end of May 2024 and they had a special exhibit on local and International ceramicists. Beautiful pieces, delicate works of art.
Sometimes they have talks by visiting professionals and experts which are wonderful, many topics to stimulate the mind and satiate the enthusiasm for art information.
They have a stunning dining and patio area at the rooftop.
Highly recommend paying a visit to this museum when they open in October 2024z

I didn’t know what to expect when I first looked this museum up, but I’m so glad I decided to check it out! Even though the museum is under construction, I was able to “pay what I can” to check out the second and third floor exhibits. The pottery and ceramics on display were breathtaking. I loved how there was a part that showed how chines porcelain was crate from start to finish, as well as showing

I had the pleasure of creating a flower installation for a wedding client with my business The Moody Blooms last summer. The operations staff were super helpful and loading in was relatively easy. The spaces available for a private function are filled with natural light and the decor/ furniture has a contemporary feel. This was my favorite venue to flower in the city. Thanks for having us! There is a elevator to access the restaurant space on the second floor. I also had a vendor meal during this lovely wedding and it was delicious.

Been wanting to visit the Gardiner Museum because it is right opposite the ROM. Finally visited today, and I was not disappointed. The museum specializes in clay and ceramic works . It has beautiful displays from all over the world both contemporary and ancient. If you want a quiet place to look at art without being overwhelmed then this is the place to visit. Was so lucky to even meet one of the local Canadian artists Silvana Michetti. She took time to explain to me how she makes her pieces. Her art is exquisite! Tickets are $15 for adults but admission is free on Wednesday afternoons from 4pm. And presto card holders get 20% off.
Pro-tip: You can get in for free if you have a reservation at the Clay Restaurant but note that the restaurant is only open from 11am-3pm.

Italian vibe. A bit on the expensive side but the chicken alfredo pasta was very tasety and shareable for 2 people. Truffle fires were not tasted as I expected. Service was fast and we got a patient friendly server. We were sat at the heated area outside as we had no reservation on a Friday evening but I later on noticed that there are plenty of seats available inside. Anyway, we enjoyed the experience especially the italian-style free bread&butter 😋😋

Dimmi Bar delivers an outstanding culinary experience that deserves recognition. The pizza was a masterclass in balance and texture, with a perfectly crisp crust and vibrant, fresh toppings. The Strozzapreti alla Ernesto was a triumph—rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying. The kitchen clearly excels in its craft, and the atmosphere inside is warm and inviting.
However, my experience at the entrance was less than welcoming. The waitresses at the door displayed a subtle but noticeable dismissiveness that made me wonder if unconscious biases might have been at play. Such moments are unfortunate and detract from what is otherwise an excellent establishment. Dimmi Bar has incredible potential, and I hope to see their hospitality at the entrance rise to the same high standard as their food.
(After reading some comments, I realized this place has not been the most accommodating restaurant for POCs to dine in. Even if we are almost in 2025, Dimmi still makes sure that POCs have a chance to experience some 1900s retro style service (POCs’ version). Awesome. Plus, one of the waitresses who gave us sh!t is also POC tho lol.)

We were looking for a place to eat in the Yorkville area so we could enjoy the holiday decorations and decided to give Dimmi Bar & Trattoria a try. We sat in the enclosed patio which was well heated and was a nice place to sit. The service was decent. We felt like pizza that day so we got the Sbamp’ a Vucca and the Yorkville pizzas. The crust in both pizzas were thin and crispy and we really enjoyed how it turned out. Our favorite was the Yorkville as all the flavors were balanced and delicious. We were a little surprised by the Sbamp’ a Vucca as it didn’t come with any sauce or cheese. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t what we were looking for. You may want to ask your waiter what the pizza comes with as ours didn’t give us a heads up. If you’re in the area taking in the holiday vibes and you’re looking for a place to recharge you should definitely consider Dimmi!

This is a great little spot in the heart of Yorkville. It was easy to get a reservation. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating when I showed up 1.5 hours ahead of the reservation. Menu selection was sufficient. The best part of this restaurant was their food. Service was fast and efficient. Bottomless fresh bread for the super hangry. All 3 italian dishes we ordered were so delicious. I looooooved the Funghi Risotto. I would order that again and again and even order for take out. My companions (who are super picky) also loved their dishes. Great value. Just a little over $100 for 3 people but we didn't have any drinks. It's an intimate little rustic cave like ambiance but very casual and the servers were all very friendly.

We got some pistachio, and coconut gelato it was the best. You can definitely taste all the flavors, the lady serving it was very kind and sweet.

Best Gelato 2022, really, I'm a believer.
One small table and 2 chairs so plan on eating your gelato on the run
Their pistachio flavor was intense; like drowning in a sea of pistachio nuts. Pistachio ice cream in the past was always weak in flavor and disappointing, however, this one has given me hope for humanity.
Their lemon sorbet was refreshing and intense.
Both flavor textures were creamy and silky. Thank God I don't live close to this place or I would be auditioning for The 600lb life tv show.
John Y - 6 months ago
The fruit flavours were too sweet for my taste, especially the watermelon. I recommend pairing a fruit flavour with something else like the mascarpone to make it less sweet.
I do appreciate the fact that the pear, peach, watermelon, berries tasted strongly like their respective fruit.
Kana Hashimoto - 5 months ago
Me and my group went on friday night. The place was small but had great great selection of gelatos !! Staff was super friendly and working so hard. We tasted a few and they were all so great. Fig, peach, pistachio and black sesame (recommended by the staff) was my favourites! We had 4 scoops cup and it was worth the money.
I wish they renovate this place better so it’s more engaging and looks like a gelato shop. The vibe was more like a quick pizza take out shop.
Sugafull 27 - 10 months ago
the pistachio definitely the most memorable flavour, overall a decent gelato. the texture is quite creamy / however it melts quickly. I was not disappointed with my cup but it cannot compete with mizzica, however if you’re in this side of town, I recommend you choose this spot for good quality gelato.
the space could use a rebrand as it’s quite dated considering it’s in yorkville.

We celebrated our special friend’s birthday tonight. We ate outside on the heated igloo, it was festively decorated and so cozy and pretty! The food was sensational and reasonably priced .i highly recommend the burger. Tomas (I hope I spelled that right) was superb. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect and he made the birthday girl feel special with a personalized dessert. He even ran after us twice after we left to return gloves and other forgotten items. I highly, highly recommend!

Celebrated my anniversary here and had Thomas as our server. He was wonderful and treated us very kindly. I was surprised that there was only actually 1 jumbo shrimp but it was yummy along with the risotto it was served with. The steak was cooked a bit over my asking, but not too much. The louvre was a unique and tasty dessert as well. I would come here again. :)

My sister and I just visited Proof Bar for our first time Monday (September 23) evening and had Jamie as our server and really enjoyed out time and our cocktails! I had the basil/blackberry gin smash which was to die for! Jamie was great to chat with and we all had some great laughs. Will be back next time we visit Toronto! Thanks for the great experience :)

Possibly the best McDonalds you could get. They have fast service even if they’re busy and their fries are always fresh, crispy, and delicious. The floors get a bit disgusting at times though with an odd sticky feeling. However, they do have multiple kiosks, so that’s a bonus.

Great McDonald's right behind the ROM. It was busy when we went, but the self-serve kiosks saved a lot of time. Staff was friendly and food was fresh.
My son was amused he could only get 5 packets of ketchup with our order 🤣

This McDonald's was busy during the lunch rush, yet customers appeared to be receiving their orders promptly. The restaurant was clean and seemingly spotless, despite the high foot traffic. The staff seemed happy and genuinely enjoyed working at this location. I ordered a Medium Fries with no salt and a Buffalo Chicken Wrap, both of which met expectations. Its proximity to the ROM is another positive aspect.

Shakshuka was great! Fries were almost cut like potato matchsticks or shredded-style hash browns (very thin). I still liked them but mentioning for those who are particular about their fries!
Enjoyed it with an Estrella beer (beer in bottles, none on tap). They have plenty of cocktails on the menu which seems more their vibe but they do warn that it'll take some time to craft, naturally.
Very friendly service. Our server was bubbly, chatty, and attentive. Enclosed patio in the back with lots of natural sunlight and space heaters. Having said that, it is still drafty/chilly and not evenly heated, so dress accordingly!! It was about -10C outside on our visit and my feet got quite cold by the end of our meal.
The restaurant wasn't terribly busy so all patrons were on the back patio. They also have seating inside the main part of the building (where you first enter off Cumberland) but I saw blankets so I imagine it can be drafty inside too.
Would return but maybe on a warmer day!

I've been here many many times, food is always good esp. the fries!!
The vibe here is mediterranean? , i like how the restaurant has this unique concept/theme throughout, in its menu and display.
Today our food was served late and when it came out there was a hair on the salad, but they replaced it with a new one.
It does get busy on the weekends, so you need to be patient for your food to be served!

First time visiting here and had a decent time. Service was okay, but can be spotty (e.g., water not being refilled almost throughout the whole stay, server not available for long periods, etc.). In general, the food is good, but also some things that didn’t make sense to me.
The octopus had a good cook to it, but was too salty for my taste. Not sure if it’s seasoned twice in the cooking process and the combined sodium is just too much in the end if you take in the other components also of the dish.
The crudo was nice and light, but I found that the squid ink chips didn’t really add much to the dish. It’s a very subtle taste and I don’t particularly think the texture (specially with how large these chips are) was necessary. Wondering if a contrast in texture could simply be added into the crudo itself.
Fries were good. Had a good taste, and was nice to snack on. Does get cold pretty quick considering the thin cut which puts a bit of a timer on that.
The pide was overwhelming to me with that sauce which just tasted like it was doused in mayo.

I love love love the patio here! I went for the first time last week and the happy hour was amazing, I really couldn’t believe how yummy the food was given that it was so cheap. I believe the drinks were only like seven dollars as well and they were also really delicious. It’s kind of like the perfect work spot to hang out if you just want to relax and have good food and good drinks.

Came by for brunch on Father’s Day. We ordered the Reyna salad, lamb shank Benny, salmon board and Greek fries. The food was generally okay, but something I noticed is the hot food arrived a little lukewarm. The cold dishes also weren’t as flavourful as we would have liked. (I’ve previously been here recently for dinner and recall that being pretty delicious. So, I wonder if it’s just the brunch items needing some work.)
The food aside, the back patio was very comfortable and the table service excellent. I booked a reservation expecting a crowd based on past experiences, but the restaurant was surprisingly empty for a weekend brunch.

I had the pleasure of creating a floral installation for a wedding client with my business The Moody Blooms. It was my first time flowering an event at this venue and was definitely a stand out. Loved everything about Clay. The servers and atmosphere was so nice. The restaurant is also very spacious and glad they removed the wooden tables near the front since reopening. You appreciate how spacious and open the restaurant is without those tables. In terms of food, everything was delicious. I had no disappointing dish and the staff were accommodating (although can’t guarantee cross contamination) to dietary restrictions. Would come here again for brunch and to show friends and family a very beautiful spot in Toronto.

Clay is a wonderful space located inside the Gardiner Museum. Service was excellent and friendly. The menu was fresh, and specialized but with enough variety for everyone. Beautiful natural lighting fills the venue. I would certainly visit again. It's worth dropping in for a bite to eat or coffee, before or after visiting the Museum or the ROM.

We booked a reservation here for brunch. It's a surprisingly large restaurant, but you need to book ahead of time.
They don't take cash!
Service is very good, like a higher end restaurant style. Friendly server knew the menu inside and out, as well as any possible substitutions. Their menu changes constantly based on seasonal ingredients.
The food, however, was very mediocre tasting and small. Out of all our dishes, the French toast was the best.
Great ambiance and lighting for photos
