4 Star Rating Earlier this fall was our first time at Mortons. The food was incredible, unfortunately, our service experience was not this instance. To the restaurant's credit- once we shared this with them (after the fact) they were very generous in providing an opportunity to correct this experience, which was used and showed their 5 star worthiness later on. Pro tip- order gift cards online at Costco ahead of time. Salad portions are quite large (picture is a half portion). Environment was quite loud and tables were very close together compared to my other steakhouse experiences.

3 Star Rating The service was great! However the food was a little disappointing. The spa spritz mocktail was very good in flavour but it was way too sweet but after watering it down with some additional soda water it was great Lobster bisque was a little too thick and too creamy for my liking. Waygu meatballs and bacon wrapped scallops were the highlight of the meal. Sides were sour cream mashed which was pretty regular, truffle parm fries were great, scalloped potatoes were good and spinach and mushrooms were also good. 8 Oz lobster was good and had no complaints. The steak was the disappointment. The 7 oz. Wagyu Westholme Filet Mignon was ordered by all 3 of my friends and they all agreed it didn't live up to their usual wagyu standards and also describing it as having a very irony taste so I had a taste myself and agreed with them also. The famous make to order hot chocolate cake was okay but not a show stopper.

Too much food so we took home to-go-containers. Great place to celebrate with friend and family for birthdays and occasions!

3 Star Rating Overpriced and under-seasoned. Went here for a work dinner. Large group with prix fix menu. Ambiance is average modern big steak house. It’s right downtown next to the hotel, a little hard to find for the first time. Large downstairs with lots of seating. They have an excellent large private conference room upstairs that can accommodate about 20-25 people. It’s quiet and great for a presentation-based meeting. Service was great. Food was just average unfortunately. I suspect due to the large group and being upstairs, food was served at relatively large intervals between guests, so people were waiting for others to get their food. Had fillet mignon which was tender but under-seasoned and massively undercooked. Multiple members of our group ordered medium and got rare still mooing cook. I got medium rare and it was cool, blue, and bloody. Steak tasted like they literally took it out the fridge and just threw it on the grill without anything. A colleague had seared tofu which she didn’t like. There were some negative comments from the group about the fish as well. Mashed potatoes were a share plate side and were good but small quantity. Green beans on the side were a let down. Chocolate pudding for dessert was also underwhelming. Key lime pie was the other option and left unfinished by my colleague. The serving size was reasonable for the mains but small for appetizers (French onion soup - pretty good - or Caesar salad) and desserts. Menu prices are aggressive for what you’re getting. Value for money is questionable at best but may not be a fair representation of what this place can do for a smaller group on a full menu. I’d like to give them the benefit of the doubt but it’s hard at this price point on a Thursday night…There are better, more memorable options out there at a less aggressive price point.

4 Star Rating I recently visited this restaurant and had a generally pleasant experience. The atmosphere was inviting, with a nice ambiance that made it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. The location is convenient, adding to its appeal. The staff were friendly and attentive, contributing to a positive dining experience. I ordered the Jambalaya, and while it was decent, I found the portion to be smaller than expected, and the flavor was just average. However, the other dishes we tried were quite good, making up for the slight disappointment with the Jambalaya. It was a bit busy during my visit, but the service remained efficient. Overall, this is a solid restaurant that I would recommend for a visit, especially for those looking to enjoy a variety of dishes in a pleasant setting.

5 Star Rating The regular fries & sweet potato fries were some of the best fries I’ve ever had! They were both super crispy. 10/10. The club sandwich was okay, the bacon was way too hard and there was a small amount of dry chicken. My friend’s chicken wrap looked like good quality chicken, should use that for the club! Great prices though.

4 Star Rating We made a reservation for Friday lunch on the patio to make the most of last days of summer and patio season. We were seated very close to the bar and we could see everything coming out of the downstairs kitchen and being served to other customers; everything looked so delicious. We ordered “Thai Chicken Salad”. The ingredients were fresh and the sauce was very delicious. The service is fast and staff are friendly. Parking could be a challenge here, but it’s perfectly accessible through subway.

5 Star Rating My friend and I went here to grab a quick drink and some snacks here on a Thursday night. They have live music and honestly the setting feels really great. I did not know about this place until recently, and I know that I'm definitely going to go back. Also for all of my TTC peeps, this place is outside Bay station. I completely forgot about the Pavlova that I wanted to try, guess I have a reason to go back quicker.

5 Star Rating This is one of those museums that has a niche collection of clay art. I’m not sure if these were in the permanent collection or not. Nevertheless it was very cool to explore these artists vision and fun. Aside from a nice restaurant the museum offered hands on clay for kids of all ages to experiment.

5 Star Rating IMPORTANT: This place allows visitors to pay as low as $1 per visit since they are currently in renovations. ____________________________________________ Never thought that I'd be so caught up in ceramic art from middle age Europe, but here we are. This gallery has every different and wacky type of ceramic ranging from ancient China to 300 years ago in Germany. It's almost like time traveling back in time but I can only see what the people of that era were eating off of; but still... Very cool!!! Family friendly, good atmosphere, educational. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

5 Star Rating Next to the ROM (a Royal Ontario Museum- edited and corrected), the Gardiner Museum is at the top of my list in my books. They have well curated permanent and special exhibits that are interesting and awe inspiring. Even the building architecture is gorgeous with its modern cubic contours situated between heritage buildings. I went end of May 2024 and they had a special exhibit on local and International ceramicists. Beautiful pieces, delicate works of art. Sometimes they have talks by visiting professionals and experts which are wonderful, many topics to stimulate the mind and satiate the enthusiasm for art information. They have a stunning dining and patio area at the rooftop. Highly recommend paying a visit to this museum when they open in October 2024z

Even though the museum is under construction, I was able to “pay what I can” to check out the second and third floor exhibits. The pottery and ceramics on display were breathtaking. I loved how there was a part that showed how chines porcelain was crate from start to finish, as well as showing

5 Star Rating We had a wonderful experience at this genuine Italian restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing the service was unbelievable everyone was so kind and welcoming. The owner himself came out to meet us and made sure that we were well taken care, he was so kind he gave us a tour and told us about the history of the restaurant. I’ve been to Italy a handful of times and I felt like I was dining there. The ambiance was authentic and felt so warm and cozy. We also tried some of the wines that are bottled in house and that was just a beautiful bonus. I’m a huge foodie so this was right up my alley for best Italian in Toronto. I’ll be a regular now.

4 Star Rating We were looking for a place to eat in the Yorkville area so we could enjoy the holiday decorations and decided to give Dimmi Bar & Trattoria a try. We sat in the enclosed patio which was well heated and was a nice place to sit. The service was decent. We felt like pizza that day so we got the Sbamp’ a Vucca and the Yorkville pizzas. The crust in both pizzas were thin and crispy and we really enjoyed how it turned out. Our favorite was the Yorkville as all the flavors were balanced and delicious. We were a little surprised by the Sbamp’ a Vucca as it didn’t come with any sauce or cheese. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t what we were looking for. You may want to ask your waiter what the pizza comes with as ours didn’t give us a heads up. If you’re in the area taking in the holiday vibes and you’re looking for a place to recharge you should definitely consider Dimmi!

5 Star Rating Best Gelato 2022, really, I'm a believer. One small table and 2 chairs so plan on eating your gelato on the run Their pistachio flavor was intense; like drowning in a sea of pistachio nuts. Pistachio ice cream in the past was always weak in flavor and disappointing, however, this one has given me hope for humanity. Their lemon sorbet was refreshing and intense. Both flavor textures were creamy and silky. Thank God I don't live close to this place or I would be auditioning for The 600lb life tv show.

5 Star Rating Me and my group went on friday night. The place was small but had great great selection of gelatos !! Staff was super friendly and working so hard. We tasted a few and they were all so great. Fig, peach, pistachio and black sesame (recommended by the staff) was my favourites! We had 4 scoops cup and it was worth the money. I wish they renovate this place better so it’s more engaging and looks like a gelato shop. The vibe was more like a quick pizza take out shop.

3 Star Rating The fruit flavours were too sweet for my taste, especially the watermelon. I recommend pairing a fruit flavour with something else like the mascarpone to make it less sweet. I do appreciate the fact that the pear, peach, watermelon, berries tasted strongly like their respective fruit.

3 Star Rating It's a very smart and comfortable lounge. The service was fantastic and the drinks were ok. Sadly, I did tell the server we were a tad disappointed by the $18 "happy hour" pizza - it seemed to look like something from the Shoppers frozen aisle (and tasted worse). He kindly offered us some desserts but we declined. He mentioned that their other food is better, so I don't want to judge the place too harshly based on the pizza (see picture). For the restaurant: there are many great pubs and bars downtown selling happy hour pizzas, home made, for $10... Edna and Vita is a good example.

It heats up quickly and its easy to sit there for few hours enjoying the ambiance. Our server Vlad is one of the best, attentive, friendly...so good at his job. 5 Star Rating Shakshuka was great! Fries were almost cut like potato matchsticks or shredded-style hash browns (very thin). I still liked them but mentioning for those who are particular about their fries! Enjoyed it with an Estrella beer (beer in bottles, none on tap). They have plenty of cocktails on the menu which seems more their vibe but they do warn that it'll take some time to craft, naturally. Very friendly service. Our server was bubbly, chatty, and attentive. Enclosed patio in the back with lots of natural sunlight and space heaters. Having said that, it is still drafty/chilly and not evenly heated, so dress accordingly!! It was about -10C outside on our visit and my feet got quite cold by the end of our meal. The restaurant wasn't terribly busy so all patrons were on the back patio. They also have seating inside the main part of the building (where you first enter off Cumberland) but I saw blankets so I imagine it can be drafty inside too. Would return but maybe on a warmer day!

4 Star Rating Went on a valentine’s date to Bar Reyna. And I am really glad I did. We had a great time - the place was very cute (but the music a bit too loud), the service was very good (special shout out to our amazing server ABC!). The food was also very good - i am still drooling over their Lamb Baklava, which was one of the most tasty and interesting dishes I’ve ever had. The meat dishes overall were quite good, and the greek fries were delicious too. Sadly i was not so convinced by their calamari (a tiny bit overcooked, but still good). Will definitely go again to have those sweet&savoury lamb baklavas (and try other dishes!)

4 Star Rating First time visiting here and had a decent time. Service was okay, but can be spotty (e.g., water not being refilled almost throughout the whole stay, server not available for long periods, etc.). In general, the food is good, but also some things that didn’t make sense to me. The octopus had a good cook to it, but was too salty for my taste. Not sure if it’s seasoned twice in the cooking process and the combined sodium is just too much in the end if you take in the other components also of the dish. The crudo was nice and light, but I found that the squid ink chips didn’t really add much to the dish. It’s a very subtle taste and I don’t particularly think the texture (specially with how large these chips are) was necessary. Wondering if a contrast in texture could simply be added into the crudo itself. Fries were good. Had a good taste, and was nice to snack on. Does get cold pretty quick considering the thin cut which puts a bit of a timer on that. The pide was overwhelming to me with that sauce which just tasted like it was doused in mayo.

The vibe here is mediterranean? , i like how the restaurant has this unique concept/theme throughout, in its menu and display.
