My family and I have always wanted to try the American style breakfast, and this place just hits the spot. The location was convenient for us as it is nearby our hotel. We had breakfast here for two days in a row.
Absolutely love the retro diner vibe, and the food is delicious too. Big portions and very flavorful, we especially love their maple syrup! The server was attentive and really lovely, making sure that we are enjoying our meal as well as refilling our drinks.
Would love to eat here again next time we visit Toronto.

I love the historical atmosphere of this place. I am Turkish and I grew up watching American movies and series. The moment I step in here, I am very impressed even by the sound of the doorbell. The arrangement of the seats, the fan hanging from the ceiling are all important details for me. It is very nice that these are still in place and that this shop is right in the center of the city. It is a history that preserves itself 🤎 These photos are from different dates but I wanted to share both plates today. In addition to the delicious food, the pancake and coffee duo is our favorite. You can order at any time you want and I have never heard anything like “our breakfast service is over”. Thank you very much for that. The unlimited coffee option is a great thing for me. The lasagna and garlic bread were great. The beef sandwich and homemade fries are my regular orders anyway. Thank you for everything 🤩

We had a very nice experience. We felt welcomed our server was readily available and helpful. Even though it was busy the whole staff really was paying attention to customers. The food was good.
We will be coming back

Our favourite spot for Canadian pancakes in the city.
We come from Spain and once we came in for a chicken parmigiana and another sandwich (which were both delicious), we found that the breakfast options seemed delightful and decided to come back another day to try them.
That resulted in us going there often to have the regular pancakes and the bottomless coffee. We invited our cousin as well, which was the one hosting us - we come from Spain.
Every time I think of this incredible breakfast and the best maple syrup I’ve ever had, it brings me so much joy to reminisce those great times.
Would gladly come back if I returned to Toronto ever again, as they were very kind to us at all times.
Would be fantastic if dogs were allowed inside though, my cousin struggled and had to leave his dog outside.
Thank you and best wishes!

Absolutely loved this place, great old-school diner atmosphere, good food with decent portions, lovely service. I've been twice, once around midnight and again for brunch - had a wonderful experience both times, and I definitely recommend it.

It's the best nachos restaurant!!! 🤩🌟🌟🌟👍 The nachos I ordered instead of burgers at the recommendation of my friend was really fantastic. Not only did they give me a lot of meat, it was satisfying just to dip it in fresh guacamole and chips. Add guacamole!!! 🥑🥑🥑💪
Unfortunately, wine was not my cup of tea. If I had ordered beer, I would have been more satisfied.

You must come during HAPPY HOUR. Crazy cheap drinks and snacks. The food is okay, it's normal. The drinks are okay as well, but they're just so cheap which is why people keep coming! They're served in cute fish bowls too. Really great place for a cute dinner before going out, you can pregame here :)

This was recommended to me by the door guy at the hotel. Amazing. Very tasty. Reasonably priced and the atmosphere was good. The staff were super friendly and gave me helpful suggestions. First time having poutine and it was delicious. Recommend.

2.50 for a beer and Thursday nights have incredible deals like half price wings or nachos. Can't beat these prices.
The suicide wings are genuinely my favorite wings in the city at the moment - better than St. Louis and Duff's. They're meaty, crispy, and saucy. Suicide and WBB are both incredibly tasty.
I've had the nachos a few times and they're great and a huge portion size for their price. My friends really enjoyed the burgers too. I personally always go for the wings.
Had a lot of good times here with my international friends. The service has always been great. This place is popular for a good reason.
One small criticism is that when there's a big line, it can be awkward walking in and finding a staff member who isn't super busy to let them know about a new group to put on the waiting list. Would be nice to have an organized system such as getting a form near the entrance, filling it out, and waiting for our number to be called.
But that's not a big deal. Easy 5 stars for this place. Recommended!

Lovely spot for drinks (and food). Atmosphere is on the louder end, and ‘rowdy’ in a good way. Drinks are delicious and decently priced. Food is more on the expensive end. Decently spacious seating although the seats itself are not the most comfortable. Worth a visit if you are looking for a spot for night time drinks.

Craving of getting some skewers at Izakaya but we were told that's not on the menu.... Orders some other food which was ok. Beef udon tasted bland. Truffle fries was good. Aburi sushi, Karaage and Prawn Tempura were all good.

Amazing food (especially loved the aburi sushi, karage and curry beef bubimbap!!)
Our server Phuntsho was so kind, attentive and always came by to make sure we were ok. Thank you so much for an incredible experience. We will definitely be back again.

Came in for my bday dinner with friends. Staff gifted a free matcha cake and ice cream and sang happy birthday. That’s not all. They even took a Polaroid photo for us! It was so unexpected but wholesome.
Food was great, loved the karage chicken and curry bibimbump.
Highly recommend.

Tasty Pizza, But Needs Improvement in Service and Hygiene
I recently visited Pizza Pizza and would give them 4 stars. The pizza was tasty, with a good balance of flavors and a nice, crispy crust. It's clear they know how to make a great pizza.
However, there's room for improvement in customer service and hygiene. The staff could be more attentive and friendly, as the service felt a bit rushed and impersonal. Additionally, the cleanliness of the dining area could be better maintained.
Overall, the pizza is worth the visit, but I hope they work on enhancing the customer experience and cleanliness in the future.

Pogue mahone is a great pub if you’re looking for a more modern environment. They have a great selection of food and beverages which are moderately priced, however the portions are a little small. It’s located by college and yonge and has ample interior and exterior seating. They also have some games inside which adds to the vibe.

Had a great time at Pogue Mahone! The staff here are all very friendly and very nice. We had a bit of a larger group and they were super accommodating for us, helping us move tables around as more people came in.
Definitely check out their daily deals. The Thursday deal is as good a deal as you'll find in the downtown core - one bourbon, one scotch, one beer for $15 (named after the George Thorogood song which we were told by some of the older members of our group 🤣)

Today we were looking for a patio. Found it! We ordered a few drinks then ordered nachos with guacamole and chicken tenders with cajun rub!! Yummy and hot!

I recently visited Pogue Mahone pub in Toronto for the first time, and I had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was vibrant and lively, perfect for a lunch break with work colleagues. The venue was fully packed, which is always a good sign of a popular spot. Despite the crowd, the service was friendly and attentive.
While the food did take some time to arrive, it was understandable given the full house. When it did arrive, it was well worth the wait; delicious and well-prepared.

The show was a lot of fun, the actors did a pretty great job. They were funny and engaging. I was really disappointed with the food, I honestly just didn’t think it was worth the value. Also ran into a bit of a mishap regarding a dietary restriction where only some of the ingredients were listed on the dish, and I was told after I had already served myself that a dish I put on my plate had an item I was allergic too. Considering that they asked for my name when I first came in, as well as being notified of my allergy, it probably would’ve been best for them to tell me about this before I served myself. The drinks were really overpriced too, I was pretty surprised that not even soft drinks were included considering the price. The desserts were two bite store bought brownies and cupcakes… If you’re going, just go for the show. The food was just not worth the value. I also went with my partner, he had a fun time.

My face still hurts from laughing. What a fabulous production. Every actor was brilliant. We enjoyed every minute, from ordering the tickets (easy online process) the gentleman who booked us in was delightful. Right up to the final applause - a magical evening.

Didn't have really high expectations for this but it turned out to be a lot of fun! If you like punny jokes, quirky characters, this event is for you!!!
We get seated in a table in a large room at Chelsea Hotel with other attendees. And the actors came in and mingled with us before announcing the start of the show. We enjoyed the humor in which actors introduced themselves and interacted with each other. We showed up for 730pm and chose to skip the dinner due to bad Google reviews about the food and high pricing. The actual show didn't start until around 745pm.
It wasn't a super serious murder plot, there was a lot of comedy that created a light atmosphere for all ages to enjoy. Some smart humor too here and there. I really liked how the actors interacted with the audience, even having some audience members say some lines and the actors improvised some jokes involving audience members or funny blunders. True professionals! I was proud to say I guessed the murderer correctly, with some debate or course, wouldn't say it was totally obvious.
Highly recommend for a date night, anniversary etc. Fun night guaranteed!!

If you’re looking for some cheap sushi, this is for sure a go to. The rolls were decent but the nigiris doesn’t taste too fresh. But for 11.99 buy one get one free, what can you expect? The food at the price is very good in my opinion. In conclusion, go for the rolls, skip the nigiris.

(Please note some sushi was eaten before picture was taken!) This was honestly some of the best tasting sushi that I could find at such an affordable price!
During the time I went (i.e., weekday evening, around 6 PM), Sushi On The Run had a BOGO Free promo. So I was able to buy two sets for ~$14!
The sushi is very clean tasting, and the fish is nice and fresh. The ratio of rice to fish and other ingredients is really nice, unlike some supermarket sushi that gives too much rice.
I would definitely recommend this as a great pick if you want sushi for a budget, especially if the BOGO free offer is on!

They really make healthy food that is very filling and not taste like a cold, barely unfreezed salad. But the complaint of other comments about the lack of protein mix is legit. Not only the protein part is lacking in portion but a "pokii" bowl without fish just feel wrong.
Phuc Hai Tran - a year ago
Good ingredients, tasty sauce, but needs more protein. The chicken itself was also oddly mushy, kind of like wet paper pulp.
My first time having freshii in years and I have mixed feelings. It's about as decent as j remember, but maybe it's just this location that definitely didn't do the protein right. Also the daily deals are a bit misleading, as the 7.99 price tag doesn't include protein (around 3 extra bucks).
Flawnson Tong - 2 years ago
This is the best salad bowl I ever had! The portion is way BIGGER than I thought. The sauce is perfect match for it! Yummy!! I am glad they are able to keep the ingredients fresh during this challenging time. I will definitely recommend to my friends and colleagues. Keep it up Freshii on College!

Rude staff. Refused to let me redeem a birthday bowl even though I showed app and proof. Told me to order online , which didnt work due to an app issue. They then told me to call customer service but weren't even able to find the number for me. And I cant find it, so I had to email. Needless to say, I didnt get any bowl or help here this visit (I ate here other times)

Rolltation is a great fast food restaurant. My review applies to all chains.
While it costs a bit more than other places, the nutrition density is so much higher. The other places also make me feel bloated after eating. At Rolltation, I feel fantastic after eating a Sushi Burrito or Poke Bowl.
Beyond the health benefit, it's simply delicious. There's a good variety of fresh ingredients combined that makes it flavourful. I personally like raw Salmon with Sriracha Mayo.

I recently visited this establishment and had a disappointing experience with the staff’s conduct. I usually tip well and have great respect for people in the service industry, but this visit left me feeling disrespected = no tip.
As I approached the counter, I had my payment ready in cash just in my pack pocket. though I hadn’t yet been asked my payment method. Without asking, the cashier activated the debit machine went behind the counter, and it seemed as though they talked and made an assumption about me. I was holding two grocery bags with work supplies, and I can’t help but feel they presumed I was a homeless person, which led to some sort of unspoken judgment.
While I was taking a moment to set my things down and grab my payment, the cook began yelling from behind the counter that the debit machine was ready—even though I was clearly holding cash. This interaction was uncomfortable and unnecessary. It’s unacceptable to treat any PERSON this way—whether they’re homeless or a paying customer. No one should be yelled at in a professional environment, especially over something as simple as a payment method.
The food here is great, but this experience has made me think twice about returning. Customer care should be a priority for all staff members, regardless of their role.
In addition treating homeless people poorly seems like such an ethical failure on part of all of the privilege that Canadians have. Truly a shame that this is the way Rolltation conducts themselves.
I would recommend that the staff maybe be paid more and given gentle persuasion approach training to staff as there is a high homelessness population. people that are homeless. Instead of yelling at them.
Great food. But Not okay.

We bought them during lunch and had as dinner due to the trip. We ordered 2 dishes, salmon classic poke bowl and karaage rice bowl since they ran out of udon that day. Staffs are friendly and helpful since this is our first try.
The poke bowl sauce, I changed to teriyaki mayo, my daughter loves it so much, we love the fresh taste of fruit with fresh veggies.
My Karaage chicken still good, i had sriracha mayo. Not too spicy but taste flavorful.
Will go back to try other dish when we go to Toronto again.

This a great place is you want to get your health on!
All good options here are reasonably healthy and they offer different things like rolls, salads and rice dishes.
My friend and I opted for build-your-own bowls and salad with salmon and tuna.
The serving size was decent, and reasonably priced.
We also ordered six takoyaki on the side. While not the best, they were definitely yummy.

Visited Fran’s Rooftop Bar for breakfast before starting a road trip. We arrived just as they opened, and the views were absolutely amazing. The ambiance was great, making for a pleasant morning setting.
The service was attentive; our server was quick to meet all our needs. We ordered the classic breakfast, Benedict, and chicken and waffle. While nothing particularly blew us away, everything was solid and met our expectations.
Portions were generous and the prices were reasonable, which we really appreciated. Overall, Fran’s Rooftop Bar is a fantastic breakfast spot in Toronto for a weekend meal, especially if you’re looking for a place with a homey feel, tasty food, and great decor.

This is a good place for a happy hour as it has decent prices, such as beers for 6 50 until 8 pm, and good food (I recommend the chicken fingers and the nachos). It is very warm, which I like, but some people complain about it. It has a very nice street view and during the summer they open the windows.
Andre Lucas Ribeiro - 8 months ago
Not bad but very expensive for the quality/quantity of food. The servers were nice but were quite forgetful and gratuity was mandatory. The summer passion cocktail was DELICIOUS but everything else was edible but the taste did not reflect the cost. We got seated at a table by the edge of the rooftop and the mister didn’t reach our table so we were very very hot where we were sat. I got the B Mac Sliders trio and they were quite dry which was disappointing. The waitress also suggested that I get fries with my burger which also ended up being very dry. Overall it was disappointing because my boyfriend and I wanted to go to one nice place and spend a bit of money for once and it ended up being overall not that good.
