Nice Old Toronto bar type feeling. I wish the upper floors were open when I visited. I enjoyed all the food, it was all fresh. The menu wasn't too complicated.
For price to food- the poutine was my tables favorite. Only 12$ for such a large portion! The gravy and cheese were perfect.
The bruschetta was awesome, tasted very fresh and honestly it was a lot to have alone. Id recommend splitting the app to leave room for the main.
Also had a couple sandwiches, that were great but a little bit over toasted. I personally would not recommend the Grilled Cheese, as it felt like cheap square cheese on wonder bread.
Other wise all the food was great, especially the pesto stuff 🤤

Love it here! Came here on a Tuesday around 11 and stayed until 4am. They let you study if they’re not busy and if you continue ordering snacks and drinks. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Theres two levels which is cozy but not very spacious. Upstairs is really beautiful. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Only mistake is that I ordered a warm apple cider since it’s fall season but they gave me the alcoholic one in a can, I tried asking for the warm one but they looked confused.

7 West Cafe has a wonderful ambience and I really enjoyed the restaurant space.
My friend and I got pasta, and our respective choices were both amazing. My friend got the Pesto Pollo which was so fragrant and tasted just as exquisite as it looked. I got the mac and cheese and I added chicken to it. The mac and cheese may not have a traditional yellow hue, but don’t be fooled. This cafe’s mac and cheese is some of the best I’ve ever had.
I look forward to going back and trying more of their menu.

Best Mac and cheese in the city! Order it with bacon and indulge in a delicious meal. This location is the ultimate after-party destination when you’re downtown. Staff is always on point and the chefs know what they’re doing! Restaurant itself is quite compact, so big groups isn’t the best move unless you get lucky. Intimate dining experience and dim lighting makes it feel really elegant. I’ll be back soon enough after a night out, thanks for always doing a great job!

I really liked my experience here. I went in the morning on a friday when they have their $10 breakfast special. They don’t mention this special when you’re in the restaurant, or maybe i missed it, so i’d check online on their website to see if this special is still occurring before going in thinking they’ll have the special. The restaurant was busy, but staff was still very attentive and work very quickly, so I was really happy with the service, given the circumstance. I really like that I was given a glass jug of water for me to pour my own water. I drink a lot of water, so it was nice that I didn’t have to call for a staff member to refill my water every time. Food came out in a timely manner and the food was really good, especially for the price. I would go again and bring some friends if the special is still available in the future.

I've been here a few times and the experience is always pretty good. The food and drinks are delicious and the wait to receive them after ordering is pretty quick. The staff are nice and helpful, it just takes a while to flag one down. I'll definitely visit again and this is a place I recommend.

I had my graduation party at The Pilot over the weekend and I was so impressed! The food and the drinks were delicious and the staff were so attentive. When planning my party with the event staff they were very accommodating and helpful. I had various allergies in my party and everything ran very smoothly. The atmosphere was also very lively. I would definitely recommend hosting your events at The Pilot!

Expect mediocre food but the dining atmosphere was great. Might be better when there’s live music or if you’re here to grab some drinks, rather than expecting a nice meal.
We went for lunch during a weekday. It was not busy and we were seated fairly quickly. We did have to walk up a staircase to access the patio and it can be challenging for some. The service was great and the staff were professional. Our food came out at a reasonable time and water was served in jugs to the table.
However, the food was very mediocre, way too heavily seasoned(at least for my chowder), and the portion runs on the smaller end.

I recently had my birthday celebration at The Pilot. The reservation process was very comfortable to navigate, and very flexible to be accommodating as possible. The staff was always kind, and helpful. On the day of the celebration, the same was true in terms of the service! I am so grateful to Tabitha and everyone who made the evening the success that it was. Thank you so much.

Michelle was incredibly helpful! She assisted me in retrieving a missing coat, which I had accidentally left in a private party space due to a miscommunication within my group. The jacket had been taken home by the party host, but Michelle stayed on top of the situation and communicated promptly throughout the process. Coral (phonetically spelled) was also very helpful when I went to pick up my coat. Great people and excellent service, and highly recommend!

AYCE Korean BBQ. Good price but not authentic Korean style. The kimchi was not very good and very limited bunchan (side dishes). Missing some essential items such as sesame oil, soybean sauce and raw garlic. The survey we had within our group indicated that no one wanted to return for the BBQ again.

140$ for two people to eat (all you can eat) and share ONE drink. Honestly, this place could look better(in terms of cleanliness and interior, + plastic cups are absolute joke, they tasted funky) and have bigger selection for the price per person, but staff was friendly and always making sure plates don’t stay on the table, stars just for that. And as other people said, tips are included in the price. Better suggestion for the same prices if you’re wondering : Shinta. Very luxury place and very big selection.

I’ve come a few times and the tables are setup very nicely for a larger or smaller group to be able to cook their food and share all appetizers and sides. The staff is great but service can be slower when it’s busier around lunch time.

My team went there after our games for all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ. The food was great, and the servers were very fast and polite :] They accommodated our large group very quickly. The strawberry ice cream was delicious as well. I've never tried this kind of food before, and I would recommend this restaurant to other first-timers! :D

Nice place for a barbecue time! From outside it looks small, however there is plenty of space for everyone!
We tried all you can eat option which is approximately $36 per person and you can have unlimited meat, fish, side dishes and vegetables.
You are ordering through your phone scanning QR code on the table. It is a bit confusing , however after first time we got used to it.
The service is fast and friendly! The location is perfect as it is near Bloor station.

We ordered the following on Ubereats:
- Chicken fingers (yum!)
- Fresh baked garlic pan bread (this was just okay. Not really great obviously delivery or when warmed up. Becomes quite dry. Not a fan)
- Garlic cajun salmon (delicious!)

This was a really spacious location by Bloor-Yonge. Came on a weekday ~8pm and was able to get a table and food within 20m. Had the chicken breast & goat cheese wrap this visit, which was surprisingly good despite the low calorie count (definitely recommended)! Overall a pretty great visit!

Me and my wife were starving from our long walk around downtown Toronto, and we decided to eat in in this location of Jack Astors Bar because they have a patio. So we were sitting in a patio we didn’t go inside. There wasn’t a busy and we got a great service. I ordered a Cheeseburger 20.99$ 🍔with pint 🍺 of BlueMoon beer 9.99$ and my wife ordered a New York Stake with a 8oz of white wine 13.99$ Or food was good, 8oz stake 🥩 was medium rare as we asked, a two stake cheeseburger 🍔 was not burnt and was delicious. A waiter was very kind and brought as food on time, and we tipped as well. In general it is good place to drink beer and eat with friends pr have a quick business meeting while you eat
Thank you

I went here with friends for lunch. The location was just a step away from bloor and yonge station. I’ve been craving for steak for long time and I didn’t have any idea that this restaurant which was near to my work place, served one. I picked “The Memphis” medium rare with iced mango mint. It was delicious and I was very satisfied with the serving. The restaurant was perfectly designed. Definitely, it’s a great place for dine in with friends. If you wanna chill out after work before going home or just wanna treat yourself, I will recommend this lovely place. The staff were friendly and approachable too. Shout out to Justine ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Staff was amazing but food was lacking a bit. The server we had was really great, positive attitude and did so much! Amazing service, coffee kept coming without us asking. Staff was very tentative and made sure we had everything we need. We did not feel like we were rushed and felt that we were consistently serviced without asking.
The food was a little bit lacking. Their "Light Breakfast" section was removed from the menu and some of our favourites were gone. The omelettes still looked decent and there seems to be more home fries than needed (was like half the plate). Not sure if it was this location for the compressed menu and too much home fries.. At least, we were still full and service was great!

We ordered Sunset Super and French Connection with bacon. It was a good portion for the price and the taste was good.
They gave us our check before we finish our meal and although we haven't asked for it. It was a one check for both and they didn't even ask us if we would like to split or go with one check for both.

I am pretty much a regular here for breakfast, going once or twice a week for quite a while. My timing is random, anything from 715 am to 12 noon. The staff are almost always polite, speedy and diligent.
The food is good, and usually delivered within 10 minutes of ordering. They do on occasion run say pancake specials which slow down the kitchen. I very much like the 3 eggs with bacon and toast. ($13.5 for 3 eggs n bacon) The eggs benny is also good. I find the coffee hit and miss, some of my friends love it, I score it as 3/10 and on par with coffee time. A big reason why I give them 4 stars instead of 5.
If you get there before 11 they even have a few specials.

Update July 2019:
Seriously hungry for breakfast, I order the crab cakes with soft poached eggs.
When an item on a menu includes the word “cake,” the last thing that should come to mind when the dish is served are terms like: pie, thin or flat.
Served by a well organized and attentive Carlos, his only failure was to not steer me clear of the soft mush I was about to scoop up without the need for the steak knife it came with. The darn things weren’t even crispy. My gentle Mother would have smacked the cook in the back of the head for she knew what crab cakes were all about. The spoon was of better use than the fork.
As for said crab, well that would need a paragraph all its own so I’ll spare you and just say this: Stay clear of the crab cakes. For 15 dollars, you will NOT be impressed and still be hungry. Luckily, they are only available for a limited time.

Jan/2018.
Steak & eggs done to perfection? Nice piece of meat, medium rare and well seasoned. So why doesn't it taste like anything? I scraped the seasoning off the steak and it was as bland as can be. A real shame.
Well greeted by attentive Staff who follow through after the meal is served.
Restaurant misses:
A/ Main glass door entrance lacks power to be fully accessible for those in wheel/power chairs.
B/ Mobility scooters, park 'em outside as the tight interior will leave you frustrated.
C/ The aroma of grease from the kitchen invades your clothing and follows you around for hours after your meal. Note to office workers. Two hours doing errands in the morning air and it was still with me...my cat was never so happy to see me.
The meal:
Corned beef hash with eggs. Perfectly cooked eggs properly laid over the hash. Fine roasted potatoes and thick, Texas style toast with two jams so you don't have to bother the waiter for the constantly illusive second one.
The hash was full of flavour but a tad on the gritty side.
The restaurant is clean with good views of Bloor Street.
All in all a fair meal for a fair price.

You can taste the quality. The Soup Dumplings were so delicious. Black Pepper Beef serves huge chunks of tender beef. Salt & Pepper Chicken was moist with a yummy crispy breading. I liked how the Lee Chen Fried Rice wasn’t greasy and was super tasty. It’s pricey, but worth it for fresh, flavourful, fine food.

I am confused as to why this particular location has received such low ratings. My experience there was very positive and the service was quick and efficient. The salt and pepper chicken I ordered was cooked to perfection - it was crispy on the outside and still moist inside. Also, the black pepper beef was cooked perfectly, medium well and very juicy. I particularly enjoyed the Lee Chen Fried Rice, which was delicious. Lastly, the dumplings were just as good as the best dumpling restaurant “Juicy Dumplings”.
Now where Lee Chen suffers is the portion. The quantity doesn't reflect the price. But overall great place to dine.

Good Chinese restaurant all round. Food quality, service as well as atmosphere are all on par. Most of the dishes we chose were the ones with more natural flavour instead of spicy ones. They all came as expected. Savory tofu soup was particularly good & quite special.

Mamma's pizza at Bloor is back and how!!!!
Finally some good old authentic pizzas in the heart of downtown.
Fantastic location, great service and even better taste.
We had a chance to try some of their pizzas, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, and we were mind blown by how good they were!

Mama's Pizza knocked it out of the park! The BBQ chicken pizza was a delightful surprise, with a smoky flavor that paired beautifully with the tangy sauce. The crust had just the right amount of char, adding a nice depth to the flavor. Definitely coming back to try more toppings!"

Reasonable price for downtown area.
Bright and nicely decor dinning room. Could have clean the dinning area better, saw stain on the wall.
Washroom is clean.
Complimentary bread and butter.
Food came quickly and hot.
Cocktails are ok, the white sangria is way too sweet and off balanced.
Burger is decent and definitely filling.
Server did check on us regularly but sometimes making jokes that we find it a bit awkward.

Came here for happy hour with my family and the service and food was amazing! Their happy hour menu items range from $5 to $20 so we ordered their entire happy hour menu! We especially loved the korean fired chicken, shishito peppers and prime rib sliders. We also love that they have a kids menu and were very accommodating and patient with my little nephews. Overall, a great lunch experience at Holt's Cafe :)

Stopped by for a quick coffee while I was shopping. It was almost lunch hour and the place was bustling. I opted for a dessert. Coffee came in fast, while I had to wait to finish my coffee for the dessert to come. Lemon meringue pie was heavenly, served with raspberry sorbet on a bed of raspberry coulis. Was worth every bite, Nathalia who helped me with my order was kind and efficient, while I understand the delay in food was not her fault. Great experience overall!

We had the Guerlain Honey afternoon tea, and everything was absolutely amazing. As avid afternoon tea seekers, we risk saying this was one of the best we've ever had. The scones were especially baked to perfection, and the entire experience was delightful. We will definitely be coming back to try the traditional one next time!

I recently visited this restaurant for afternoon tea and brunch, and I have to say, I was quite disappointed, especially considering the price. I expected a lot more in terms of quality and presentation. The parfait, in particular, was the worst part—it looked and tasted like something I could make in 30 seconds at home! There was nothing appealing or special about it at all. As for the tower they served for the afternoon tea, it felt overpriced for what was offered. Overall, it was well below my expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a premium experience.

I ordered the chicken & shrimp combo and paid at the register. I watched as the chef prepared me meal and noticed the cashier whisper something to the chef.
She must've charged me the incorrect amount because when I turned my back the chef intentionally hid the shrimp from view and then lied to me saying that they didn't know I wanted the chicken and shimp combo and only served me chicken.
I accepted the order and pretended I didn't see him cook and then hide the shrimp. I used to go there all the time but now I see they are not trustworthy and operate in bad faith. I would not recommend anybody eat here. There are better options in the area

Alright food but be careful they might do scams here? They added 2 goyza dumplings to my dish even though those don’t come included by default I don’t think and I didn’t ask for them and that bumped up my order I’m pretty sure, not sure if it was a misunderstanding or a sneaky tactic (my price seemed a bit high but I didn’t ask for receipt and didn’t bother to clarify with them)

A very unique and exhilarating experience. Getting used to the pitch black environment can be alittle weird, but it makes for such an interesting and fulfilling series of sensations. Trying to feel for your meal and eat while not being able to see truly enhances the experience. I would highly recommend trying this place out at least once! My only issue was the cost. While the experience was a unique one and enjoyable, the price for the quality and amount of food you are provided isn't adequate. You will most likely still be hungry after the meal.

We had a unique and wonderful experience at ONoir. We ordered a surprise starter, as well as surprise main, and let the staff know that we don't have any allergies and are non-vegetarian. (If you do have any dietary restrictions, they will take them into consideration.)
We received two different appetizers and two different mains, and had a lot of fun trying all of them, and figuring out what was on the plate. We guessed some, but not all! It was all delicious though.
The food is great; the atmosphere is cosy. The staff are welcoming and attentive. Our server was lovely as well. We had a great time! Will come back gladly. Thanks ONoir!!
