I've been here a few times and the experience is always pretty good. The food and drinks are delicious and the wait to receive them after ordering is pretty quick. The staff are nice and helpful, it just takes a while to flag one down. I'll definitely visit again and this is a place I recommend.

Live jazz music on their second floor, and a heated patio. Polite staff, good ambiance, we only had drinks which were good no comment for food.

Expect mediocre food but the dining atmosphere was great. Might be better when there’s live music or if you’re here to grab some drinks, rather than expecting a nice meal.
We went for lunch during a weekday. It was not busy and we were seated fairly quickly. We did have to walk up a staircase to access the patio and it can be challenging for some. The service was great and the staff were professional. Our food came out at a reasonable time and water was served in jugs to the table.
However, the food was very mediocre, way too heavily seasoned(at least for my chowder), and the portion runs on the smaller end.

Came here with a friend for a casual dinner and this place did not disappoint! Toughest part was walking up a flight of stairs but after that, you've found yourself on a nice spacious rooftop patio complete with a bar and ample TV screens for sports fans. Ordered the the Smoked Pork Chop grilled with maple BBQ sauce (with fries and coleslaw). My buddy got the Chicken Strips (with fries). The Pork Chop was tender and meaty while that maple BBQ sauce imparted such an addictive sweet & savoury flavour to the dish. The Chicken Strips were good too, nicely battered and crispy without being dry on the inside. Fries and salad were also good. Service was prompt and friendly. Overall, highly recommend this place to all! 5/5.

I had my graduation party at The Pilot over the weekend and I was so impressed! The food and the drinks were delicious and the staff were so attentive. When planning my party with the event staff they were very accommodating and helpful. I had various allergies in my party and everything ran very smoothly. The atmosphere was also very lively. I would definitely recommend hosting your events at The Pilot!

Note: The restaurant is separated into two areas - the sushi area and the teppanyaki area. Entrance is at the sushi area!
We tried their teppanyaki. Food itself is tasty and fairly priced. Great spot if you are looking to dine with a bit of a culinary show by the chef! They will crack many jokes and gags along the way. Wonderful experience overall, would highly recommend for group gatherings.
Seating was comfortable and decently spacious - bathrooms were also nice and private and decently clean. Will be back!
Cindy Hum - 5 months ago
As a regular dining in Yamato since 1998, I have no negative things to say, their food was always up to a standard, however last night’s teppanyaki dinner was good but not great, it seems like portion gone slightly smaller, meat thinner, veggies a bit less, only the delicious fried rice stays the same
Service was top notch as usual. The place could get a facelift given it’s fairly old, ventilation getting worn out so it could get extremely smelly while the place is packed with people ordering grills, and a little too dark for a family restaurant

Great teppanyaki food, good vibes! Perfect for a weekend dinner. As a vegetarian, I loved this place . We ordered Vegetable dragon roll, teppan rice , tempura veggies, avocado and cucumber roll! Loved everything- on point authentic flavors !
Shivani Mehta - a month ago
This restaurant is split into two distinct zones—one for sushi and one for teppanyaki. So, don’t panic if you’re expecting a hibachi experience and find yourself entering through the sushi area, it's just on the other side.
The chef put on an absolutely hilarious
performance for me and my party of nine. Seriously, this place is great for hosting bigger groups. The prices are totally fair, especially considering the bougie area it’s located in.
The seating was mostly comfy, though the knee room was a bit tight. I’m guessing it’s thanks to all the mechanical stuff beneath the stove
From what I've researched, this seems to be one of the best hibachi spots in the greater Toronto area. Definitely worth the visit and I would definitely come back!

Came here twice for brunch. Both times. A wonderful experience. Very quaint interior decor. Pretty tight seating.

We had dinner at this café and enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere, though the tables were a bit too close together. The drink selection was impressive, and the menu offered a wide variety of options. They also had a special offer on bottled drinks, which was a nice touch. So we had a bottle of Shiraz red wine, and we started with poutine as an appetizer—both were excellent. For the main course, we had lasagna and a Greek salad, both of which were of good quality.

Nice Old Toronto bar type feeling. I wish the upper floors were open when I visited. I enjoyed all the food, it was all fresh. The menu wasn't too complicated.
For price to food- the poutine was my tables favorite. Only 12$ for such a large portion! The gravy and cheese were perfect.
The bruschetta was awesome, tasted very fresh and honestly it was a lot to have alone. Id recommend splitting the app to leave room for the main.
Also had a couple sandwiches, that were great but a little bit over toasted. I personally would not recommend the Grilled Cheese, as it felt like cheap square cheese on wonder bread.
Other wise all the food was great, especially the pesto stuff 🤤

Love it here! Came here on a Tuesday around 11 and stayed until 4am. They let you study if they’re not busy and if you continue ordering snacks and drinks. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Theres two levels which is cozy but not very spacious. Upstairs is really beautiful. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Only mistake is that I ordered a warm apple cider since it’s fall season but they gave me the alcoholic one in a can, I tried asking for the warm one but they looked confused.

We stumbled across this place trying to get out of the rain and were delighted by the vibe, and the food was delicious. Great staff and a Toronto classic, having been around for 29 plus years. We dined on the main floor and were curious to see the other floors but didn’t head up stairs. Clean bathrooms, the coffee was great and the desserts looked incredible.

I had a delightful evening at Sassafraz! We were seated in a beautiful spot under the skylight. From the appetizers to the main dishes, everything was excellent, especially the salad! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because it took unusually long to receive my cocktail, likely due to an issue at the bar. Despite this small hiccup, the overall experience was great, and I would definitely recommend it!

The asparagus lemon soup was superb. I had the "Betina Salad" Tomato and peach with fresh avocado. I call it "Betina" because our server suggested the Avocado addition. She was delight. She made our girls luncheon memorable. I highly recommend.

Had a great time this evening with my friends for a holiday gathering…service was lovely, but the food was mediocre at best. i’ve had better at franchises, seriously. and it was all pretty cold by the time they got it to us. for the price point it’s pretty ridiculous but hey it’s a Yorkville institution so you’re paying for ambiance and you know it. the cocktails were nice enough. i wouldn’t eat here again but I’d come for a drink at their cute bar.

I ordered delivery to my home. The food was delivered quite quickly and was beautifully decorated. This was my first time trying this restaurant and I was quite surprised because the sashimi here is very fresh. Everyone in my family complimented me on how delicious it was. I will definitely come with my family and friends to enjoy the restaurant next time. It’s located right next to Bay station, very easy to get around, so if you have the chance, you should try it.

The sushi at Sushi Inn is absolutely top-notch! My friends and I had a great experiences, were greeted warmly by the staff, who were attentive and welcoming throughout our visit. We ordered a salmon platter, add a sushi combo ,and as you can see from the picture, the presentation was beautiful. The salmon was incredibly fresh and vibrant, with each slice and roll tasting as amazing as it looked. The sashimi and maki rolls were melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
The service was quick and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere made our dining experience even more enjoyable. If you're a sushi lover, this place is a must-visit! We’ll definitely be returning soon.

Carole’s Cheesecake has been a go-to spot for me for years, and for good reason. Their cakes are nothing short of decadent – every bite feels like a little indulgence in heaven. The variety is fantastic, and whether you’re a fan of classic flavors or something a little more unique, they never disappoint. It’s clear they put care and quality into every slice. If you’re looking for a dessert that truly hits the spot, Carole’s Cheesecake is the place to be!

AYCE Korean BBQ. Good price but not authentic Korean style. The kimchi was not very good and very limited bunchan (side dishes). Missing some essential items such as sesame oil, soybean sauce and raw garlic. The survey we had within our group indicated that no one wanted to return for the BBQ again.

We love this place. We go there all the time! they took good care of us on rotchys birthday. they let us in after hours and took care of myself rotchy and all the kids including niece and nephew.. 9 of us in total they treated us so well. rotchie was so happy that she got to eat there for her birthday after a long night out with myself and the kids.. she was ecstatic.. if she's happy I'm happy

First time ever trying Korean BBQ and picked this place to try out. Food was amazing and the service was excellent too. The All You Can Ear BBQ is great value and my personal favorite was the beef short ribs. The included mango ice cream at the end was a nice bonus too. Will definitely come back to try again with a larger group of people!

140$ for two people to eat (all you can eat) and share ONE drink. Honestly, this place could look better(in terms of cleanliness and interior, + plastic cups are absolute joke, they tasted funky) and have bigger selection for the price per person, but staff was friendly and always making sure plates don’t stay on the table, stars just for that. And as other people said, tips are included in the price. Better suggestion for the same prices if you’re wondering : Shinta. Very luxury place and very big selection.

Nice place for a barbecue time! From outside it looks small, however there is plenty of space for everyone!
We tried all you can eat option which is approximately $36 per person and you can have unlimited meat, fish, side dishes and vegetables.
You are ordering through your phone scanning QR code on the table. It is a bit confusing , however after first time we got used to it.
The service is fast and friendly! The location is perfect as it is near Bloor station.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a generally pleasant experience. The atmosphere was inviting, with a nice ambiance that made it a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. The location is convenient, adding to its appeal. The staff were friendly and attentive, contributing to a positive dining experience.
I ordered the Jambalaya, and while it was decent, I found the portion to be smaller than expected, and the flavor was just average. However, the other dishes we tried were quite good, making up for the slight disappointment with the Jambalaya.
It was a bit busy during my visit, but the service remained efficient. Overall, this is a solid restaurant that I would recommend for a visit, especially for those looking to enjoy a variety of dishes in a pleasant setting.

We made a reservation for Friday lunch on the patio to make the most of last days of summer and patio season.
We were seated very close to the bar and we could see everything coming out of the downstairs kitchen and being served to other customers; everything looked so delicious.
We ordered “Thai Chicken Salad”. The ingredients were fresh and the sauce was very delicious.
The service is fast and staff are friendly.
Parking could be a challenge here, but it’s perfectly accessible through subway.

Perfect place to watch rugby. Friendly and engaging staff. Prices were excellent. Serving sizes were generous (not overly). Variety of food choices were satisfying. We had a lamb plate and BBQ ribs special, they were delicious. Heated patio with lots of light. Our server was knowledgeable about the selection of wines.

They have a nice rooftop patio/bar that's great for date nights or hanging out with friends. The food was not bad although it's your standard pub/bar fare. The fish and chips were crispy and the fries were like Costco fries (yum), and the portions are actually huge. Service wasn't bad either but sometimes quite hard to flag down our server since she was always busy making drinks at the bar too. Definitely a cool place to go to, and I'm glad I tried, but probably not for me again!

We had a terrific time on the rooftop patio. Service was terrific, I really enjoyed my avocado peach salad, my partner enjoyed his clubhouse sandwich but it could have used a bit more lettuce and tomato. All in all a nice place to spend a warm summer afternoon!

I recently visited this restaurant and had a mixed experience. The welcoming was great—the manager greeted us with a warm smile, which made us feel immediately at ease. The restaurant itself is cozy, with a beautiful interior design that creates a pleasant atmosphere. We chose to sit on the top patio, which added to the overall experience.
However, there were some noticeable issues with the service and food. The waitress who served us seemed unhappy and didn't introduce herself, which affected the overall vibe. Unfortunately, all three dishes we ordered arrived cold. The kale salad with added chicken was oily, even though we specifically requested no oil, and the chicken itself was cold. The pizza had a partially burned crust, which left a noticeable burnt taste. As for the steak, it was cold when it arrived, and even after sending it back to be warmed up, it was returned to us still cold. The staff tried to explain, but it was clear they were not fully familiar with the proper process.
While the food had potential to be delicious, these issues significantly impacted our experience. For these reasons, I’m giving this restaurant 3 stars. I hope they can address these concerns to improve the overall dining experience.

Trattoria Nervosa never fails to impress! We keep coming back for their mouthwatering pizzas – each slice is a perfect balance of crispy crust, fresh toppings, and rich flavor. The lasagna, though, is the true star of the menu – layered with perfectly cooked pasta, savory meat, and gooey cheese, it's simply to die for.
To top off the meal, their desserts are a must-try. Whether it’s their creamy tiramisu, or rich chocolate cake, you can’t go wrong. Each bite feels like the perfect ending to an already unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine!

What a wonderful, authentic place! It feels like stepping into Italy for a little while. The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially since I needed dairy-free options. Everything was so good! I’ll even forgive them for not having plant-based milk because the coffee was amazing even without it (though I’d love to have a cappuccino and a dairy-free dessert 😏).
Will definitely be back! P

For my 28th birthday this year, I went to Trattoria Nervosa after work with two of my best friends. The food was spectacular, and the company was just as wonderful! I had the Risotto Nervosa, and it was the best risotto I've ever eaten! The Chocolate Cake was very rich but quite tasty. 10/10 service and somewhere I'd most definitely recommend and return to.

Overall great experience. They only accept walk-in, so I had to wait a few minutes, but the rotation was pretty fast, so I didn't end up waiting too long.
The service was very quick. Staff were nice and regularly checked on our table.
As for the food, it was great. However, I found the beef a bit tough. Other than that, the food was cooked well, and the flavor was there.
