A cute place in st.louis my sister went to before and decided to return together. We all enjoyed the dinner very much, friendly services and great dishes. The whole place smelled like truffle (which I love but not for some other people). Had an artichoke salad and duck fillets. Really well cooked and seasoned. Highly recommend.

The perfect authentic French dinner on our final night in Paris! Located in the same street we were staying in and easily accessible, the Maître d was beautifully helpful and attentive.

We've been there on a Friday evening for dinner. The food was delicious. We ordered the food of the day option and a vegetable plate, both are recommendable. The service was fantastic, very fast and friendly.

Classic. Chic. Great food. The service was excellent and friendly. Whether solo, family, group or couple... this lovely charming place is worth a visit.
Over Christmas they had a nice set menu that will leave you satisfied and full.

Perfectly acceptable classic French food, however for the price I would have expected a bit more imagination and inventiveness with the food.
Also worth noting my Steak Entrecote was a lot tougher than you would expect. I have to admit it was an excellent creme brulee though.

I am sorry to give this restaurant less than 5 starts, but I have to. At first I wanted to give 3 - only because of the host.
The food was very good, nice wines, the restaurant is gorgeous, but the host was so unpleasant.
We walked in around 7pm and asked for a table. He went inside to “check” if there are free tables and told us that everything is reserved and he sit us outside. We were fine with the outdoor table, it was a very nice evening, but the funny thing is that he kept sitting all the tourists who came after us outside, keeping the restaurant inside empty the whole night.
Not sure if those are the directions that he was following or what, but really didn’t make us feel welcome. With his attitude he made us feel like we don’t belong there. The scene with him “checking” the tables inside was so unnecessary…
Other than that, everything was very good and would recommend this restaurant to everybody.

I will be dreaming of these scrambled eggs for a very long time. This breakfast was exactly what we needed before a long day of exploring Paris. The inside of the building is spectacularly beautiful. We will definitely return the next time we are in the city.

The indoors is elegant & yet relaxed for a meal, My main reason to visit was a romantic music videoclip by Carol Samaha , a Lebanese singer , which I saw over ten years ago ! The place was even more charming and the neighborhood is a happy place to be . They are on the pricey side for location .

My wife and I had dinner at Chez Julien on our last night in Paris, and it was easily the best meal of the entire trip. It was recommended by a friend who grew up in Paris. The food was delicious, perfect portion sizes, and the Apricot Cheesecake was the best cheesecake I’ve ever had. That’s not hyperbole, I mean that. I live in NYC which is famous for its cheesecake, so that’s saying something.
What elevated the experience from great to exceptional was our server, Luna. She was kind, engaging and very helpful. We asked where we should go the next morning for a great croissant, and she went above and beyond by doing some research before coming to us with an answer. She also gave us a breakdown of the history of the restaurant which was very interesting.
Luna truly was great, and should get a raise or promotion asap!
All in all if you’re looking for a good place for dinner in Paris, don’t hesitate to check out Chez Julien. You won’t be disappointed.

My favorite restaurant in all of Paris. We had several delicious meals here during our two-month stay in the city, but more than that, Chez Julien captures a mood and vibe of old Paris that I simply adore.
Located at the edge of Le Marais just across from the Seine, this place is at once trendy and historic (take a look at the og paintings on the ceiling and patio panels -- OMG!), chic and casual, beautiful yet approachable. From the crimson-colored velvet curtains and carpet to the gold accents, crystal chandeliers, and artfully presented food, everything is a picture.
Oh, also check out the bathroom upstairs with the antique-style soap dispenser that you have to flip to dispense soap -- and the brass animal hooks and all the other little details that just have me obsessed! (The kitschy zebra-print upstairs lounge and private dining room are also worth a glance.)
Spent my husband's birthday here as well as a meal with friends and multiple lunch dates. (Yes, they're open for lunch!) For a delightful afternoon repast, try the amazing truffle fries, seabream with veggies, and gorgeous "fruit cocktail" mocktail on the outdoor patio if the weather is nice. Kinda reminded me of Chateau Marmont in LA, only better because Paris.

This place has my heart! I haven’t tried the mains on the menu yet! I always go for pastas and they are irresistibly gorgeous! So delicious and Al dente just the way it should be! Nice, cute, tiny and cozy place. You must really be stupid if you have leftovers in your plate by the end of your meal😌
Staff is super friendly!
Service 10/10
Ambience 10/10 (I personally love it)
Food 11/10
Oh, and make sure you don’t leave the restaurant without having any desserts (even if you have diabetes or not😉) Panna Cotta is your love at first sight and it should be illegal to leave without having tiramisu!
They are pretty generous with their portions. After all, its an Italian restaurant💁🏼♂️

Food is fresh and delicious. Our waitress Donna had given us good recommendations of dessert, they were excellent !
The singers sang some extraits of opera among us. The best moment was at around 10pm when they invited everybody to sing together.
A nice souvenir for our birthdays.

Don’t give too much expectations for the food but the show is worthy

This place was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris. The decor is theatre-like with heavy curtains, and the nice red lamps on the table. The welcoming staff is nice and smiling. We went on a Wednesday and had the full lyrical menu for half the price. We loved being “serenaded” with arias of different, well-known opera plays. They took especially good care of an old gentleman who had his birthday that night. The food was truly good, full of flavour. I would definitely recommend this place!!!

Opera singers performing and serving at the same time, which was a very special experience. The food was just okay but the performance was gorgeous. Especially when they invited you to sing along! My friend asked for his favorite song and they accepted the request. Every singer was good but the Korean tenor had a really amazing voice.

An absolute gem of a restaurant with world class food, world class service and the perfect ambiance for a Parisienne spot.
The sea bass was exceptional as were the escargot, bone marrow and pate. And the prices were very good considering the quality of the food.
Best restaurant we’ve ever eaten at on our Paris visits.
Most HIGHLY recommended!

I arrived at this establishment upon the recommendation of a close acquaintance, with the intention of indulging in a delightful dinner featuring cake. The venue itself, as well as its concept and decor, exude a remarkable level of creativity. Although the menu was concise, it offered an array of excellent options complemented by a select assortment of impressive wines. Furthermore, the atmosphere encapsulated a sense of tradition, and naturally, the location was impeccable.

This place was highly recommended by a Parisian friend, and we had high hopes. While it was good, it was not as great as we were hoping. For starter, I had the asparagus soup, which was delicious. For my main, I had the fillet mignon, which, much to my surprise, was almost cooked "well done." I always like beef cooked medium rare and never had to be too specific about this in France, but this was an unhappy accident (maybe its because they seem to be catering mostly tourists that ask for disappointing well done steaks ?). For dessert, I had a chocolate cake, which was a massive disappointment - dry and unremarkable - something that would only be fit if this would be someone's first cake.
The service was great, and the sommelier gave us some very good recommendations.

We came here for a nice night out, and ended up being one of the worst experiences I’ve had with Parisian food.
We order our dishes. The onion soup was tasty, not great but okay. Then the main dishes came. My dish was something different from what I had ordered. When told the waiter and he stated “oh yes, but they are both chicken” (the dish they brought and what I had ordered were both chicken dishes BUT NOT THE SAME DISH). I kept it to be nice to him even though I was pissed at his response. The chicken was inedible, so dry I had to drink water after every bite. Flavorless. To my surprise when the check came, he charged me for the dish I originally ordered which was WAY more expensive and not for the dish they brought me instead. I realized after I left so I couldn’t say anything.
I would never come back here, they just take advantage of tourists. Big no. Terrible service and terrible food.

We went for the crème brulé BUT stayed for the experience of it all!! The wine paired perfectly with our food. The gnocchi was to die for, quite literally, needed a 5 minute break to introspect all the flavours we went through. Absolutely coming back here again!! Super friendly staff too, taught us how to pronounce this odd wine name. Hope he got the dog pic he was after 🤝🏼

First of all, the service was amazing. We had a reservation at 2 pm, but we were late, so we called them and they were so friendly and kept our reservation until we showed up at 3 pm.
The food was delicious. I didn't try it, but some of my friends at the table had the onion soup and they were impressed.
The potatoes in the beef bourguignon were so delicious, and now try to imagine how the meat tasted—absolutely UNBELIEVABLE. Five stars from me.

Service was the least good thing. They were not attentive even though no one but myself and 1 other was there. Not only were they inattentive but they did not seem to care. However, the gelato was good and the atmosphere was not bad since it was empty. I had the place to myself which was nice.

The gelato was quite good. Be warned, however, that it is extremely heavy and almost as filling as an entire meal. I got the specialty vanilla and carmel in a cup. It tasted pretty good but wasn’t very exciting. This is a nice place to stop but don’t get anything too big because it won’t sit well with you.

I absolutely love their generosity and the endless variety of flavors they offer. My personal favorites are mango and chocolate – both are rich, vibrant, and utterly satisfying. In the past, they also had black currant (cassis), which was such a unique and delightful option. I really hope they bring that flavor back someday; it’s one I still think about! Their dedication to offering something for everyone is what keeps me coming back.

Strolling along the rue Saint-Louis en l’Île when the girlfriend eyed this place, Amorino, and wanted her fix of gelato. “Hmmm”, me thinks, “competition for Bertillon, right under their noses" — or at least right down the street. Background, Bertillon was established in 1954 and as far as I know had for years pretty much owned this island’s ice cream business — and for good reason, it’s great with many amazing flavors. But apparently two friends of Italian origins decided to pursue their passion and open an Italian gelato shop a few doors down and Amorino was born in 2002… I’m only now discovering it. Apparently they have over 200 shops worldwide, including some 20 stores in the US: NYC, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, etc. The large selection of flavors, the generous serving, the presentation an elaborate work of art… Well, the girlfriend was abundantly happy with her beautifully crafted rose cone, each petal a different flavor, crowned with a tasty macaron. The staff were cheerful and eager to please, the ambiance was inviting and warm (and the gelato cold!): I’ve assigned them a well merited five stars. Shame we don’t have an Amorino here in Tucson, although I suppose our local Frost wouldn’t like that too much… :-)
Hopefully your visit to Paris lasts longer than a day so you’ll have a chance to indulge yourself at both Amorino and Bertillon. Competition aside, they’re both great and equally deserving of your custom. Your sweet tooth will not be disappointed.

We had a wonderful dinner here, even without a reservation. We shared a salad that we paired with a rose, then also had a fabulous red along with our dinners, ending the night with an aperitif. Our server was great, spoke English (merci!), and was attentive. My husband is gluten free and lactose free and they were able to explain which items he could eat and which could be modified for him as well. So glad we ate here.

After reading the reviews I had high hopes. It's too bad, because the location and decor/music are nice so expectations are high when you sit down. Now, after a repeat visit this summer, we had a much better experience at Vache than a few years ago so I'm updating my review. The food and service are quite good and the ambience is lovely. Be aware that the place is a tourist destination so if you are looking to avoid that, be forwarded.

I didn’t have great expectations before I went here, but as soon as I saw tables of French older gentlemen, I assumed it must be good!
And it was! The servers wear white shirts with ties and were kind and accommodating.
The food I had was exceptional. The French onion soup, or just onion soup, as they call it here 😜 was delicious - not the best I w ever had - but delicious. It was the “Omble chevalier” or Artic Char fish that had me licking the plate clean!!!
The interior needs a bit of a loving update, but we sat on the cafe chairs outside and the corner is absolutely charming!
