The location of the hotel is great. The rooms were clean and spacious by European standards. We were 2 floors up from the street via a narrow staircase. No elevator. That is also not uncommon and hotel staff did offer to assist with our bags. The front part of the main floor was under construction which spilled over into the reception area. Two small areas of concern. 1) We believed we had paid a rate that included breakfast. When I went to check it out in the morning for my wife and I, staff informed my we did not have breakfast included. My wife decided to stay in the room and get ready to leave. I ordered coffee and looked at news for about 30 minutes. At that time, the staff informed me they made a mistake and we did have breakfast included. It was too late for either my wife or I to enjoy it as we had to get to the airport. 2) They have a cat(s). The house cat was cute enough but I have an allergy and he/she obviously goes into guest rooms. I had to block the cat from entering the room with us each time. If you love cats, you might enjoy this but if you don't, beware.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Thoumieux in Paris, and it was nothing short of magical! From the moment we stepped into the charming boutique hotel, we were greeted with warmth and exceptional service. A special shoutout to Jennifer at the front desk, who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Her friendliness and local recommendations made our trip even more memorable—she's a gem! The decor is chic, blending modern elegance with classic Parisian flair, making the ambiance feel both luxurious and cozy.
One of the true highlights of our stay was meeting Ubu, the hotel's resident cat. Ubu adds such a delightful touch to the experience, wandering around like the true king of the hotel. His friendly and laid-back presence makes the hotel feel like home, and I found myself looking forward to our daily encounters. It's not every day you meet a cat with such personality!
The rooms were impeccably clean and stylish, with thoughtful amenities and a comfortable bed that made it hard to leave. The location is perfect for exploring the city, and the restaurant downstairs is a must-try—delicious food with impeccable service.
Overall, Hotel Thoumieux exceeded all of our expectations. If you're looking for a unique Parisian experience with a touch of feline charm, this is the place to be!

Pauline was super kind and helpful. She managed to provide us with a beautiful long table to celebrate our friend's wedding on a Friday night. Service was excellent, food was great and so were cocktails. They were also very accomodating to create a customized dessert (cakes) within the set menu to make the celebration even more special. Thank you Pauline & team! Music and atmosphere are great for the 10pm service.

We had a dinner at the restaurant. The decoration, athmosphere was romantic & chic. It is located in a street where you can see the Eiffel tower! Highly recommend

Great hotel and staff! Everyone was fantastic. Only downside is the red under the hotel plays loud music until late, but I’m a heavy sleeper so it did not bother. Otherwise highly recommend. Stayed there with my 8 year old. The hotel has a “hotel manager” that is a cat named Ubu. Great trip.

This is the best meal I’ve had in Paris! The food quality was superb. The offerings were simple but on point. Vegetarian and fish options were not an afterthought. They were perfect. Beautiful presentation, and best of all, the service! What more could I ask for? I will be back next time. I am in Paris.
An additional note. This restaurant is one block away from a busy corner and gives you a calm atmosphere of a quieter environment just one block away from the bustling city.

Indulged in a solo dining experience at a charming French restaurant after a long voyage and day of meetings. Started with a lovely glass of Chablis which suited the entire menu well. The foie gras, presented in substantial proportions alongside thoughtfully paired pickled and fresh vegetables, was great (I was craving fois gras). Then I had the duck, which came with a deep sauce and wonderfully cooked French vegetables, the kind you’re hoping for when visiting France. Finally the chocolate moulleux cake, with fresh ice cream which was as delicious as you’d expect after the quality of the first two courses. I sheepishly finished nearly every bite of every dish. Merci to the staff for their kind and attentive service. Definitely recommended.

It’s is pity that photos of classic dishes rarely look as good as those of modern ones. Yet the explosion of flavours that we experienced here last night reminded us that the constant race for what comes next is not always an automatic solution to providing the deep and intense pleasures that what came before can so often provide. Fantastic experience!

Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant wasn’t the greatest.
Firstly, we highly recommend making a dinner reservation; otherwise, you’ll have a long wait for a table.
When my partner and I were seated, we found ourselves extremely close to our neighbors. The person seated inside had no way to get in and out without moving the table, which was very inconvenient and uncomfortable. It was also difficult to get the staff’s attention as they were extremely busy, and when we did, the service felt very rushed.
Food-wise, the escargot and foie gras tasted nice but weren’t amazing or refined. The veal kidney dishes are certainly not for everyone, especially foreigners, so make sure you know what you’re getting. The French fries that came with the main dish were cold by the time they reached the table and soon became inedible. Their famous soufflé dessert, although light and fluffy, was too sweet for our liking, making us wonder why it's so popular.
Overall, we felt the experience wasn’t worth the price. If you do decide to go, make sure to make a reservation, specify your seating requirements, and be prepared for a busy and noisy environment, especially at dinner. Oh, and unless you’re willing to pay €8 for a bottle of still water, just ask for tap water.

The cozy little restaurant has a great atmosphere and is a wonderful place to experience French cuisine. Both waitresses were very warm and provided excellent service and the dishes were delicious. However, make sure to book a table at least a day in advance! At least during my stay in Paris, they were very busy every day.

The restaurant offers unique dishes such as frog legs, pigeon, and sweetbreads.
We tried them all and they were all delicious!
I highly recommend visiting the restaurant. Please come at 7:30 pm when it opens as the restaurant will be full by 8 pm

We went to Auberge Bressane after a visit to the Eiffel Tower as it was one of the few places we could reserve a table on a Saturday with short notice. And we did NOT regret it!
The food is decadent - not surprising based on its prices and location. We sat outside on a lovely evening, and as is typical of Paris restaurants, the tables were small and close together. It’s in a less-touristy area, so the outside seating was peaceful. Our server was a pleasure - he talked us through the many options, was patient with our American confusion, and even rushed the meal towards the end as we had a driver picking us up.
We had multiple soufflés, the roasted pigeon, sea bass, the Chateau Briand, and Sweetbreads in Puff Pastry. It was all rich and delicious with good portion sizes. The prices and formality are not necessarily suitable for an “average” dinner out. But if you’re looking for a delightful Paris dining experience, this is a lovely option!

My friend used the Fork App to book the restaurant, it gives 30% discount off the Ala carte menu item. We ordered the Lobster ravioli & grilled sea bream with Aubergine. The lobster ravioli was good, you could really taste the lobster in the ravioli. Unfortunately the sauce for the lobster ravioli was a little salty.
The sea bream was extremely well done with a sliced of grilled eggplant & eggplant mash with peas shoots & pomegranate seeds.
They provided tuna as appetizer that comes with a sliced of bread crouton. Service was decent, we had no complaints.
The ambiance of the restaurant was very nicely done. Although it’s abit weird getting there, you have to walk downt to a flight of stairs & turn left into restaurant
We ordered dessert too. Dessert was good, the Citron sorbet was good & refreshing , so was the white chocolate & Marscarpone cheesecake. They even served a complimentary thin sliced pound cake.
A thoroughly enjoyable meal, for 2 entree & dessert with the 30% discount, it cost us $54 Euros.
I did hear that the restaurant will be moving to Rue Amelie which will be an easy location to find.

We had lunch here 2 days ago while visiting Paris for the Olympics. Even though we were casually dressed because of the heat we were welcomed without hesitation. My wife had the eggplant vegan dish and I chose the veal. Both were excellent. We very much enjoyed the reasonable Brouilly wine served slightly chilled. I had forgotten this amazing wine, perfect for the summer, full of fruit not overly complex but absolutely delightful. Their signature dessert frozen coffee parfait is excellent. We may try the crepes Suzette tonight-yes we are returning to this elegant, comfortable and friendly restaurant.

We stayed the Paris Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel, the Concierges Dylan recommended Chez Francoise.
Dylan made our dinner reservations and requested the best table with views of the Eiffel Tower.
Our table was in direct view of the Eiffel Tower!
Our Server Mehdi was AWESOME!
Thank you for a wonderful dining experience Mehdi!!
The French bread is so so good!
Loved my French Onion Soup!
Enjoyed our dinners:
Salmon vapeur and gamba sauté
The crème brûlée was the perfect sweet treat.
After dinner enjoyed the beautiful Eiffel Tower and Seine River.
Highly recommend for casual dining experience!

Very close to the Alexander III bridge although we almost missed the entrance following google map. The interior is very classy, bright and nice and the service is supreme. Staff is super nice, patient and attentive. They don’t speak much English but they have online English menu. My kids even got free Eiffel Tower keychain and they absolutely loved it. Great value menu of 2 dishes for €30 and 3 dishes for €38 only. Highly recommend the salmon tartar, fried squid, the fish and coffee cake. Their other dessert also look very nice. Free water and no service charge.

Came in for the desserts and coffee. The service and location were very good.
For the dessert we got the cheesecake and soufflé. Both were OK but I didn’t enjoy the soufflé as much as I enjoyed the cheesecake. I felt like the soufflé was too light and was lacking flavors. As for the coffee, it was way below average.

Overall this experience was decent at best.
We went expecting a very good meal (seeing the prices) but were pretty let down by the food. We ordered the dim sum, the eggplant, and the avocado tuna.
The dim sum was our favorite, it was very very good, but it definitely did not bring enough to get filled up.
The tuna and eggplant were not as good, but still decent. The burrata tasted fresh and was runny on the inside but the eggplant wasn’t great.
Service was also subpar for the price as we had to wait a long time for everything (even water)
Overall a decent experience but not worth the price

This was my first meal in Paris after getting off a 12 hour overnight flight and it was sublime. Sitting outside on the terrace on a warm summers day was exactly what I needed to bring me back to life. The atmosphere is divine. The staff were nice. And meal was fresh and light.

Came for desert as I wanted to try the famous cheesecake and I was not disappointed, I loved it!!
On the phone the lady said that the restaurant is open from 9pm for ‘tea time’ which is deserts and drinks, i think this is a great idea.
I was not aware that the interior was going to be as beautiful as it was, I didn’t come for dinner as the menu didn’t grab me ( was a special night so I wanted to eat the most traditional French food elsewhere) however the interior made me wish I had eaten here, definitely coming back!
(The pricing must’ve been incorrect on the menu though so do note although the cheesecake is €12 on the menu, i was in fact charged €14. I would not expect mistakes like this from an establishment like this)

This is the most special restaurant we have ever gone to. It's everything. My husband surprised me and took me here for our 5th wedding anniversary, and we went for our 10th wedding anniversary and now this month, our 25th. We remember on our 5th thinking that the meal was the most special we had in Paris for the whole trip. On our 10th, we thought it was the most special meal we had up until that point, and on our 25th, it was no surprise to us that we saw they have a Michelin star. It is still the most special restaurant to us ever. Laurent and Pascal both go above and beyond to make their customers feel special. From the greeting to the delicious food they make for each guest. Incredible. If you are coming here just for a good dinner, or for a special event- you will not be disappointed. We do always make a reservation. We sat next to an owner of a boutique hotel chain when we came and they were as impressed as we were.
I am not sure if they take walk-ins, but don't leave it up to chance. This place is so special, you will want a reservation.

As with many places in Paris, the service here is quite slow. They really need to add more waiters—having only one for the entire outdoor seating area isn’t enough. The food quality is average, but the best feature of this café is the stunning view of the Eiffel Tower from the outdoor seats. It’s worth a visit for the scenery alone.

Excellent authentic French bistro & perfect t for my friends first meal in Paris. Started with escargot & both had duck - breast & leg - all perfectly cooked.
Our waiter was brilliant but another server made us move tables mid-meal to accommodate a larger party, which took the shine of it.

Great ambiance, friendly staff. Spoke English, were very polite. My two year old was with us and they were very sweet to him. There were no high chairs so if your child is used to eating on high chairs, this maybe an issue. My son sits with us on regular dining chairs so we had no issues with adapting. Flavors were good. I had the steamed fish which I hindsight o wish i didn't. It just was not the kind of thai food I enjoy and I love Thai food. Serving sizes for the Price were too small and that's the only reason for my 4 star rating but I guess prices are reflective of the up scale feel they are going for.
Tom yum Soup was yummy, the crispy shrimp dumplings were really tasty even my son ate it.

I recently visited this restaurant and tried a few dishes. Starting with the burger, while the bun was unfortunately burnt, the meat was tender, and the sauce was delicious. However, I expected a higher quality cheddar to complement the flavors.
The Boeuf Bourguignon was fantastic! The meat and bacon were perfectly cooked, and the mushrooms and potatoes were well-mixed. The dish had a rich flavor from the wine sauce, which brought everything together beautifully.
The beer selection was outstanding—truly flavorful. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the wine. Despite a variety of options, the wine I tried lacked taste and aroma, which was disappointing.
On the bright side, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and they spoke English, which made the experience even more comfortable.

The service was helpful, friendly, until there was a problem. From the moment we pointed out the raw chicken in the caesar salad to the waiter, he started completely ignoring us, didn't even offer any apology, solution, discount. Even the second course, which was good, didn't save the impression.

Full Review: A Taste of Paris at La Petit Cler
This establishment brings a slice of Parisian bistro life to its location, offering classic French dishes in a charming, cozy setting. Its popularity is evident, with a bustling atmosphere especially around lunchtime.
The croque madame was elevated with exceptionally stretchy cheese and topped with a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg, the dish struck an ideal balance between richness and creaminess. A light leafy salad accompanied the croque, dressed in a punchy yet light vinaigrette that added a welcome freshness to cut through the richness of the main component.
To complement the meal, the Vitamine drink (a blend of carrot, ginger, and apple) offered a mellow and subtly sweet flavor profile with pleasant earthy undertones. This thoughtfully crafted beverage provided a perfect counterpoint to the richness of the croque madame.
The atmosphere is one of the strongest assets. The interior is tastefully designed with handsome dark woods providing a sophisticated backdrop to a light, bright space. This thoughtful contrast creates a warm and inviting ambiance. The cozy setting is further enhanced by street facing doors, which can be opened to blur the line between indoor and outdoor dining. This feature not only allows for excellent people-watching – a quintessential Parisian pastime – but also creates an airy feel when open. On pleasant days, it transforms the dining experience into something akin to a Parisian sidewalk café. The inviting aromas wafting through the space further enhance the sensory experience, enticing both seated diners and passersby.
Service was a highlight, with staff being both attentive and friendly. The efficiency of service was noteworthy, especially considering the popularity during peak hours.
This bistro successfully captures the essence of French dining, from its menu offerings to its ambiance.
For those seeking an authentic French bistro experience, this establishment delivers. Whether you're in the mood for a leisurely lunch or a cozy dinner, it offers a delightful escape to Paris, if only for a meal. Just be prepared for a potentially busy atmosphere, especially during peak hours – though the lively buzz only adds to the authentic bistro feel.

On a semi pedestrian street. Outdoor seats are in the sun in September afternoons. Staff was very friendly and efficient. They worked very hard to get more customers including by patiently explaining to passers by the menu. Onion soup was fairly good. The mesclun leaves in the salad were rotten unfortunately. When asked by the staff, I told them the leaves were rotten but they didn’t apologise or do anything about it which was a bit weird (why did they bother to ask?). The carafe bottles and the chocolate accompanied the coffee had their own logo. Toilet was functioning and clean.

I arrived at Le Petit Cler extremely hungry after an intense morning of sightseeing and the food did not disappoint. I ordered a Croque Monsieur and a Tartare, with the second being my favourite! The staff is very welcoming and entertaining, so the service is great. Looking around I have not heard many French speaking people, but I have not felt like this was a turistic place and definitely the quality of the food was excellent!

It's at the heart of Rue Cler. We are lucky to find a table without reserving one on a Saturday evening. We tried flank steak and fish of the day served with homemade ratatouille. Both were deliciously cooked. Staff were nice and attentive to customers' needs. Will come here again next time I visit Paris.

This is definitely a spot to remember if you're in the mood for a good steak tartare. The prices are reasonable, making it a great value for what you get. They also offer a nice outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying a meal on sunny days.
