We came to Montreal in the search of the best French toast in the city and we may have had the best of our lives. We LOVED this place and everything was perfect. You must keep this spot on your list and make a reservation. The food was excellent and the service top notch.

just the best classic brunch you’ll have. great vibe inside and out. always busy so go early or late but always worth the wait if you have to. the french toast is incredible and so are any of their seasonal. the steak croissant sandwich i’ve heard is amazing too. great service and perfect for a meal after a night out or with the girls on a weekend.

Had our last brunch here before catching our train to Toronto. Beautiful place, sunny patio. Service needs improvement. Took long for them to approach our table to take our order. Food was slow as well, when I followed up they said sorry and they were busy earlier in the morning, but they were not that busy at that moment. Took an hour from being seated to the service of our food.
Most dishes were okay but our favorites were definitely the french toast and the salmon tartare.

Cute little spot, Everything here is extremely delicious. The soup and salad were both excellent. I really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich as well! I would definitely return.

There was a bit of a wait to get in, but also had a large group of 11 so it was understandable, the vibe of the restaurant was casual. The food here is really good. I had the pancakes with apple puree, and it was delicious. I added the side of thick cut bacon and it was fantastic, I would recommend finding your way here.

Nice location and really spacious, service was great but found the food to be a bit too basic, taste was ok but plate a bit bland, eggs were cooked really good though. If you’re looking for a nice looking spot and an easy brunch this is a solid option but you can get more for the same price in other brunch places.

Beautiful establishment. Great atmosphere. Great owners.
Had the calmars and the shrimp cocktail. Not a fan of tomato sauces in general which came with calamari. The melted butter had a beautiful flavor though, but didn't merge well for my palate with the seafood. The calmars were cooked to perfection. Was not the typical chewy plastic feel that you get in most restaurants. I may just be more prone to the greek style of cream sauces over tomato. Most of my friends enjoyed the Onion soup and the Tartare. We were hoping for the Lobster Ravioli but they weren't serving it at that moment during our special event. Super disappointed but I'm sure we will be back when it is back on the menu. The Pinot Noir was my Mom's Favourite over the Bourgogne.

Had brunch here on a warm and sunny September morning. The patio seating is the best. Inside is nice too but a little too dimmly lit for my taste. The menu is classic western style food - eggs, meat, quiche, fruits. Good selection of teas. Coffee is very good. They had no vegetarian or vegan options and that’s why I rated them at 4 for food.

An old-fashioned bistro with a friendly atmosphere. Not only the food but also the desserts are very delicious. The raspberry tart was excellent. I would like to come back to try the tarte tatin next time.

Whenever we’re in Montreal, Mamie Clafoutis is a staple stop for us to pick up a selection of delicious pastries to bring home to BC. Their pastries are consistently high-quality and incredibly flavorful, with each bite capturing the authentic taste of French baking. The standout items include their croissants, which are perfectly flaky and buttery, along with unique offerings like pistachio and almond croissants.
What truly sets this place apart, beyond the excellent pastries, is the customer service. The staff are always warm, helpful, and make the experience even better by assisting with selections and packaging up everything carefully for travel. They make you feel welcome, and you can tell they really care about their customers’ experience. Mamie Clafoutis is truly a gem in Montreal for anyone who loves top-notch pastries and wonderful service. Highly recommend stopping by!

The ambiance, design and architecture of this place is top. Really clean, sleek, and modern. They have plenty of bread and dessert options and some frozen also. The chocolatine I ordered from here was so deliciously buttery!

I miss the old setup 😐, the new setup feels like you are getting bakery items from a production line. It dosent have the local bakery vibe anymore. Food quality was same I always thought that the price is 20% more than it should have. If you are visiting Montreal for few days then I will not recommend this bakery anymore. Oh and after this renovation I saw the croissants are looking weird and the boxed cake slice do not have its corners (I mean why). If you are going then have a Mamie kouign , suisse , & almandine ( sorry for the Rant, I used to love this place )
Onurag - 2 months ago
After the renovations, the changes are more than architectural. What was once my main place for exercising my spoken French (ordering and chatting with the young and kind staff) is now self-serve with an app, scan the product and checkout with Google pay. Of all the places to go this route, Mamie Clafoutis is the last one I expected. Otherwise it is the same great baked goods and variety... with one exception - the ficelles with blue cheese and walnuts are now refrigerated (I am afraid, this change I literally cannot swallow...)

Went into the newly renovated store and it was an amazing experience. Store is super modern, filled with helpful smiling employees, and lovely delicious pastries. Had the best cinnamon roll of my life and some gorgeous milk bread. The experience was smooth and prices are great for the amazing quality. Young female employee with brown hair was exceptionally helpful and kind. Will definitely revisit and encourage all to do the same so they can try delectable baked goods in an exceptional atmosphere. Bakery of the FUTURE!!!

Amazing experience! We chose to do the chef experience with lobster.
The food was beyond great, and the portions were good ( keep in mind this is a sea food restaurant, not an all you can eat sushi bar, lol)
The staff were so kind and welcoming we had the chance to be served outstandingly they complemted us with a porto wine from spain!
It's just perfect overall and worth the price! Totally recommend

The restaurant's cozy, rustic decor and lively music immediately made us feel like we were in Spain. We started with a selection of delicious tapas, with the grilled octopus being my favorite. For the main course, we had a seafood paella that was incredibly flavorful. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for a lovely evening out in town.

Fantastic little garden with wholesome staff and great food options!
It's a bit of a walk from Metro stations, but it was still worth the effort. The menu may seem small at first, but it does actually offer enough variety for everyone.
The friendly environment paired with the quality of food, makes it feel like a home. Do try it!

Very cozy spot on St. Denis, had the Souvlaki wrap and the mussels. I tried the curry mussels, and was not disappointed. They were very wholesome and satisfying.

Had a beautifully decorated restaurant with a front patio and beautiful backyard patio. There were lights and small touches to the decor to make the patio cozy. The service was exceptional. We were attended to with a smile from the moment we walked in to get a seat to when we left. They welcomed our many questions as we were visiting at the time and were unfamiliar with the menu.
The portion sizes were large and the food was filled with flavour. The fries seemed to be a fan favourite amongst the group we went with.
Would highly recommend this restaurant. Great vibes and great food !

Really great place for dinner. Servers are really nice and accommodating. The food is really good and affordable. It’s a must visit if you in this area. Outside terrace is beautiful. We had chicken and pork peta & kuskus with chicken all the items were great and more than enough for one person. Tap beer was also really great and only 5$. Sangria is also good 👍

This is a hidden gem! Went there for brunch, we sat outdoor in their beautiful terrace. They have a brunch menu with a variety of eggs, omelette, Benedict, and bagel options. They average at 11$ which is a great price given that it comes with coffee and some sides! The food was really good, I really enjoyed the entire experience and would definitely come here again!

Had the feijoada here, it was absolutely delectable.
My wife and I were unsure about whether we'd like it or not so we asked to share it and our server was very accommodating about that.
The mixed drinks at the bar are very well made! Definitely worth trying something with dinner.

I grew up in Brazil and since leaving the country in 1978, have visited Brazilian restaurants in Mexico, New York, Washington DC and other cities. Acajou is the BEST, most authentic one of all, hands down. My wife had the feijoada and pão de queijo and I had the risoles and moqueca. Childhood memories came back to me of my days in São Paulo. Absolutely fantastic food at reasonable prices.

Delicious and affordable grill plates!
We both had the picanha; about 10 oz steak that comes with feijoada, rice and some crunchy things (no idea what it was, but it was tasty!).
Don't be fooled by the appearances, this plate is very filling (and flavourful)!

This is not your REGULAR sushi place, this is your vegan/vegetarian sushi place that will blow your mind away! The Kamikaze, golden truffle, avocado crispy rice, and emzeleta or enzelate (can't remember the name lol) with halloumi tempura inside of it is absolutely mind blowing. They don't have pop which is amazing but they do have various mocktails and various flavored kombucha, I tried the apple ginger, lavender and raspberry kombucha and all were perfect. The atmosphere was beautiful (looks like a resto in Tulum) and the service was amazing , the staff were extremly knowledgable regarding their menu. Will definitely return!

This was some of the best food Ive had, hands down. Highly recommend the ”oyster" and what I would call the cheeseburger roll (unsure what it is called?)... so good! The tasting menu left is so full and we felt it was well worth it!
Have to knock atmosphere because for a summer visit, they could really use AC or at least fans.

Before I visited here I heard many good things but this place was so much better than what I was expecting. The restaurant itself is stunning. So natural and beautiful. A earthy and simple vibe which relaxed me but when the food started coming it was anything but simple. The flavours were so complex and I could tell that so much effort went into each dish, each sushi roll and everything we were served. The presentation was amazing and the service was great. I was very impressed and I think I will need to stop in here on every trip I make to Montreal because this place was heaven!

This was truly delicious! All the sushis are incredible. Favorites were the fried avocado ones, the "salmon" ones and the "Siam" spring rolls in Mango/Peanut sauce. Their cocktails were also very cool and worth the price.
Flora Roy - a week ago
Absolutely delicious food. Probably some of the best sushi I have ever tasted.
I usually eat fish, and am a big fan of sushi, so I was not sure that a restaurant serving exclusively vegan sushi would be for me. Boy was I wrong.
It seems like you can order anything and it will be delicious!
The service is nice, i’d only say that it is a bit long to get your plate but they were also very busy both times I have gone.
The atmosphere is cozy, it’s not too loud.
I’d highly recommend this place for a date or a celebration!

My sister and I stumbled onto this place yesterday and we are SO happy that we did! The restaurant was really beautifully decorated, it was fancy and relaxing, and really great for a date or one-on-one experience as you could have a conversation without it being too loud - overall, super cozy chic vibes. Our waiter Rubel was so friendly, attentive and had the greatest recommendations for us too. Huge portions, incredibly flavourful, fluffy naan... My sister is vegetarian and I love lamb so there were many options for both of us. The food was honestly very fresh and delicious, we even had enough for lunches the next day! Honestly all in all, we are already planning to go back and bring our families because it was a wonderful and delicious experience... Thank you Rubel, can't wait to see you next time!

My friend and I shared a couple of dishes last night and loved everything! We had Dal Makhani, Paneer Tikka Masala, garlic naan and basmati rice. So delicious! For dessert we had chai and split the cardamom creme brulee. We would have liked more of a cardamom flavour but the creme brulee itself was very good and a generous portion. Our server (didn't get his name) was very good too. Would absolutely come back here next time I'm in Montreal!

We wanted to go out for some Indian cuisine. Googled and found this gem hidden on St Denis Street. My husband loved their butter chicken; I and my daughter, we enjoyed vegetarian dishes. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend the place. Small restaurant, looks recently updated and clean; and nice fast service matters when you are hungry. 5 stars.

My mom was staying at the hostel next door and we ordered some bites from here to enjoy on the hostel roof. We ordered a few things that were all excellent, but the dahi gol gappa was especially worth mentioning. My mom said "this is the best thing I've ever eaten in my LIFE!" It packed so many different flavours into a tiny bite.
The staff were also really patient, friendly, and funny while we took ages to decide what we want. We also had drinks and my paloma was very well balanced.
