Let me first start off by saying that if you are visiting from the states this is the place to go. Atmosphere was low lighting and a total date worthy place. The food was great and not overly sauced, salted or seasoned. The staff (Emily and Mark) were super friendly, accommodating and super attentive. If I was a local this would be my go to spot. Hands down the best place we have been since we have arrived.

The restaurant has a cheerful, cozy atmosphere with a vibrant downtown vibe. The food was amazing, and the drinks were unique and delightful. While the food took a little extra time to arrive, the friendly servers made up for it. Overall, it’s a great spot to hang out with friends!

good ambience and good food. the prices were okay, the poutine very traditional, the bison burger had very intense flavors but a meat lover would love this burger and the ratatouille was amazing. they have guiness on tap!

Great dinner. Attentive service. Great food. We had the Picanha steak and the Duck Confit Salad. Wonderful. Everything was perfectly balanced. Not too sweet, not too spicy, beautiful appointed sides to go with both of them. It was a quick dinner for us, but was Great. We will be back. Waitresses and hostess were superb with quick seating and clear directions.

Tres bien. In town for the weekend. First time in Montreal. Beautiful city. This was a great find. The food was fantastic. The service was friendly and very attentive. The mushroom bruschetta and mushroom soup were outstanding. The walleye with the pumpkin seeds and red sauce was delicious. The mussels with the lemon pepper cream sauce was so tasty we got the greatest bread to soak up the sauce. Great drinks and lively atmosphere. Tight seating but everyone was friendly. We did not get dessert because the portions were big. We would definitely recommend going and we are thinking of going back to try more.

This was such a lovely place! I got a rosé cider and I would definitively recommend it, and I paired it with one of their pretzels. The pretzels are super large and the mustard they serve it with is a classic. Service was great and we had a large group that got accommodated easily.

Having a beer in a snowing windy is a unique mood.
People are quite right about the music in this place- not too loud, not too high, not too low or aggressive- just about right!
The Eurodog, hotdog on baguette, is huge!! A big shock for a Vancouverite! 🤣

Good place, with very good music, good service and a varied menu of beers and drinks. All the options were well served and at a fair price. The Cactus beer was amazinnnnggg, the Bretzel was delicious and enough for for people to share. Good option for going with friends:)

Amazing outdoor space. I recommend the DunkelKong beer and the bretzel! Amazing pretzel I loved it. Nice curried mustard situation. The indoor space is a little weird too black/dark and too much leather on the seats. Servers are super friendly!

I had the absolute pleasure of attending Brunch Gospel with Michelle Sweeney and the Gospel Tribe at the Balcon on the 28th, and it was an unforgettable experience! The food was really good but the highlight for me was the music. Michelle Sweeney and the Gospel Tribe delivered performances that were nothing short of electrifying. It was a good way to enjoy great food while being uplifted by incredible live gospel music.

Le Balcon is a staple in Montreal experiences! Located in an old cathedral, this theater always makes for an incredible time!
There’s room to dance if you’d like- most people do! The main floor is tables/chairs set up cabaret style. The balcony is church pews with a thin piece of fabric as your seat cushion. You’ll be up dancing anyways, so don’t get too comfy! Balcony is also “sit wherever” so feel free to move around… but make sure you close out with your server! If you can find them! Once the show starts, I really didn’t see anyone to grab me another drink:(
It’s a very intimate venue- there are no bad seats! Very picturesque too!
The entrance is on the side street!
There’s a coat check for $3CAD and yes they take cards! Beware- there’s a long line aftee to get your coat!
The bathrooms are pitiful! Located up a bunch of stairs and then there’s only 2 teeny stalls! For a venue, we need more please!

We had a fantastic time at the New Year's Eve party at Le Balcon! The food and cocktails were delicious, the entertainment was lively and kept us dancing, and our server Norman was wonderful. And he was very talented performing two beautiful songs during dinner. The venue was tucked in the back of a church which was very cool and unexpected. Great time overall!

My wife and I spent about $800 for the New Year's Eve dinner and show. We were very disappointed on the portion size of each servings and main course. Everything looked like it was just a sample size. The food itself was satisfactory. Considering all of the money spent on dinner, you would think the servings would be more generous. This was our second time at Le Balcon. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

If I could leave more than 5 star review for the service, I would! Catherine was unbelievable and the ultimate example of EXCELLENT customer service. I wanted to treat my parents to dinner after a show they were seeing at PDA, for their 60th wedding anniversary, and wanted to treat them for dinner. Catherine worked with me to try to find a way that this could happen. She offered many different solutions and followed up at every turn. It was impressive!!! When my parents showed up at the restaurant, she treated them with white gloves and made sure their experience was memorable. THANK YOU Catherine for the unforgettable experience. Linda

I am really sorry to the owner for his selection of an incompetent and arrogant manager that was working on December 21st. We had the worst experience ever both from a service point of view and food quality. The waiter that she stated that she is also the manager was extremely unprofessional in many sense (communication and service). The food in general was of a lesser quality than a 4stars restaurant. Clearly I will never step in this restaurant in the future. I feel very bad for the customers if the quality and service is the same and also feel bad for the owner for his poor choice of manager !!! I gave a low tip for the poor experience we had and we got insulted in public for it, she told us that we are not allowed in the restaurant in the future!!! As if I will even consider it. I am stunned and surprise how did they get the 4stars

Sesame has some fun food, it's good, creative, and very aesthetically appealing. I will say though that I would go back just for their dessert, I cannot stress enough how amazing they are! The mango sorbet is so fresh, and the sesame and matcha ice cream is a fire match that you need in your life.

My colleague and I arrived at the restaurant late after a long day, having not eaten since breakfast. Despite our late arrival, close to the restaurant's closing time, Greg, our waiter, provided exceptional service. He was attentive, professional, and made us feel completely welcome. We were truly impressed by his outstanding hospitality, and the food was absolutely delicious!

Food was alright. Not a lot of taste in the chicken pad thai and it seemed to have a lot of pointless ingredients in it that took away from the good parts of it. My partner got the salmon and tuna poke bowl which looked and tasted much better. Other than that it’s nice spot to eat at and good decent service
Busch King - 4 months ago
The location of the place is pleasant, particularly when seated near the windows.
Overall, the food quality is satisfactory, but the portions at POKE are insufficient. We found the dishes lacking in salt and sauce. The bowls are oversized compared to standard plates and portion sizes (personal opinion). Despite this, the service was excellent, although they seemed understaffed with only one person attending to everyone (who was very attentive to us). Overall, it's still recommended.

An Asian fusion restaurant on Sainte Catherine street which is always crowded. We have to book on-line to get the table.
Food is more Asian. There are Padthai, PadSew, Wanton, Tao, Poké and Bao.
Mocktails are ok, not great. Food is good, not wow but it is alright if you are craving for Asian food.
There are also some outdoor tables.

I’ve been here a couple times and the food has been consistently delicious and fresh each time! I highly recommend the sushi and rolls, however, I found the poke bowls a bit overpriced for the portion size compared to what you can get at similar places; that’s the only reason this is a 4 star review and not a 5. But overall, this is a lovely place with great staff and very yummy food - I definitely recommend!

Great spot with a wide variety of unique rolls! The chef was super helpful in guiding me through the options. I ended up going with the 40-piece chef’s choice, and it did not disappoint.

I stumbled upon this sushi gem recently, and I can't stop raving about it! This place has quickly become my go-to spot for delicious sushi in town. The food here is incredibly fresh, and each bite is bursting with flavor. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or just looking for a tasty meal, this place won't disappoint.
One of the things that really stands out about this sushi shop is the value for money. Despite the top-notch quality of their ingredients, the prices here are very reasonable. You get a lot of bang for your buck, which is always a plus.
In addition to their dine-in experience, they also offer catering services, which I've had the pleasure of trying at a corporate event. The sushi platters were a hit among everyone, and it added a special touch to the occasion. So whether you're hosting a corporate gathering or a special event, this place has you covered.
What's more, I find myself frequenting this spot regularly for weekday lunches. Whether I dine in or grab takeout, the experience is always consistent and satisfying. It's become a highlight of my week!
Overall, I can't recommend this sushi spot enough. From the freshness of the food to the affordability and excellent catering options, it's a winner in my book. If you're in the mood for some top-quality sushi, look no further than this place!

We visit this place with our work colleagues at least twice a week. The sushi here is absolutely addictive! The blend of textures from the fish, panko, and avocado is simply perfect. I would give it a rating of 1000/10 and highly recommend it! Staff is always smiling and nice.
CST Holdings - a year ago
It only takes 10 to 15 minutes to eat sushi. Because sushi used to be a street food, it was eaten immediately after being made. Every second that passed meant the loss of freshness of the sushi.

Stopped here for a bite to eat with my family while on vacation. It was a great spot for a good quality lunch. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. They “loved it” and I too enjoyed the meal. Great staff, great food. I had the chicken and waffles and I can say the sauce they give with it is absolutely amazing!!! Highly recommend this place and the chicken and waffles.

First timer: very nice experience and the waiter was friendly as well. It was 3 of us and 2 ordered the strawberry French toast and 1 ordered a fruit bowl and a smoothie. Also ordered a side of breakfast potatoes
The French toast was amazing, very filling, strawberries were great. I definitely recommend this breakfast dish. 10/10
Breakfast potatoes: were 10/10 definitely seasoned nicely and paired well with the ketchup.
I would recommend this place. Enjoy 😊

Reserved for a birthday dinner.
Atmosphere and service were amazing and food was good, portions could be bigger for the price range. Cocktails were good.
The only thing is the place is very tight especially for big groups but other than that I would definitely come back.

Been wanting to try this place for a long time. We reserved a table for 6 on a busy Friday night, and really enjoyed our experience. We got the table right away, sat on the upper floor which is very enjoyable and aesthetically pleasing. There were several waiters per floor which is great when very busy, and there were all kind and helpful. Food was really good, (took and entree and a salad and it was the perfect amount) and the ambiance is chill, people are generally dressed up, we stayed for nearly 3 hours. Desserts are a must!!

We enjoyed our time here!
The food was good!
The Burrata pizza was amazing, So fresh and soooo delicious.
The tiramisu was also a standout.
The vibe and space were nice though it was a lot smaller than expected.
Maybe not as nice as the photos
( not when you’re looking out the window at the Jean Coutu lol )
We were sat directly next to another table of people when the room was basically empty which was a little strange,
But the service was all around pretty good.
I would come back just for that pizza bro
And pretty reasonable prices too !!
Ok bye ! 👋🍕💃🕺

Unfortunately amidst the beautiful ambiance and moody lighting, the food was lacklustre. My friend got the duck confit pizza and i got the burrata pizza. The dough was fresh but the flavours were quite bland - there was a true lack of salt altogether. I appreciated the bread & olive oil with balsamic but olive oil was quite watery. My other friend got salmon and said she really enjoyed it! The cannoli filling was delicious but the shell was quite stale. The chocolate mousse was good, decadent but not overpowering. The atmosphere has a real wow factor but the food we tried was just dull unfortunately.

Love this place! It’s wide, well decorated, super cozy and the tables are well-spaced. Ambiance is nice for groups or for smaller tables. Our waiter was super helpful and patient, and everything we ate looked and tasted yummy. One of my fav spots for group-meetings because you can eat sweet and savoury, small or heavy meals, or you can have a coffee or a drink. Great variety!

Cafe Parvis is an absolute gem tucked right in the heart of downtown, yet it feels like a serene escape. The ambience is warm, cozy, and lush with greenery, making it feel almost hidden away from the city buzz. The menu is simple—amazing pizzas with unique flavors, fresh and creative salads, and a thoughtful drink list with something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and location, which makes it perfect for a casual meal with friends or even a solo treat. It’s wonderful both day and night, giving a unique vibe depending on the time. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a relaxed yet vibrant spot downtown!

Our family had a trip to Montreal recently and we decided to reserve a spot at Cafe Parvis for brunch. When we arrived at the location, we were a bit skeptical but it turned out extremely good! We ordered 4 dishes that both turned out well. However, some of the dishes, like the duck rillette , was less in quantity but very presentable. But it was made up with a comforting atmosphere as well as a good customer service.

Amazing crepes (goat cheese, spinach) was filled to capacity so delicious & the banana strawberry Nutella crepe was perfect! The Staff was so kind & helpful & attentive - it is not a fancy place but the crepes were spectacular the best we have ever had in the world.

Came here on June 22, 2024 based on random google search. We ordered savory cheese, spinach crepe and it is very good. Super soft and chewy with lots of cheese. Taste is on the light side as I didn’t want sweet crepe. I am not a frequent crepe eater but I can say this is the best Priced ($13) and most soft and chewy crepe I ever had.
Their large Latte is less than $6! You don’t find this kind of price in Toronto anymore. Check it out.

Disclaimer: Went here for brunch on New Year's Day so it might have affected our experience.
We ordered a sandwich and savory crepes. The sandwich was quite good and pressed well. Enjoyable. The savory crepes were decent with a good filling of eggs, melty cheese and lots of ham. Not bad but nothing special. The crepes were really soft and freshly made. I think they would be much better with sweet toppings.
The coffees we ordered were cappuccinos, one with oat milk. These were a disappointment as both coffees were a little weak.
Overall I don't know if I'd come back here for the food but we appreciate that the place was open. And the service was lovely.
