3 Star Rating The food is incredible!! 5 stars!!! Nothing else is 5 stars: the ambiance, the service, the cleanliness. I learned about this Restaurant Beijing on a food tour- our guide said she and her family would visit here weekly for dinner! I can see why- the food is delicious! The menu is vast so everyone can find something. The gals at the front counter had a lovely, vibrant energy! The male servers could take a lesson from them. I understand it’s always busy but a smile and a “Bonjour” would be the bare minimum. And there wasn’t even that. The bathrooms were atrocious. Use the hand sanitizer at the front counter. You pay at the front… otherwise you’re just sitting there.

5 Star Rating Quaint Chinese restaurant in Chinatown with prompt and courteous service. The Beef Chow Ho was quite good as was the eggplant with tofu and pork. I appreciate how simple and straightforward this place is, and the food did not disappoint for a quick Chinese lunch.

5 Star Rating I love this place! The staff is nice, they can seat a big crowd if you call in advance, and the food is fantastic. Their prices are reasonable if you are getting a lot of plates to share. This is not the type of place where you get one dish for yourself, I think you would be missing out if you did this. I’ve never liked eggplant before, and the eggplant here blew my mind. I wish they had more beer options, but Tsingtao is always good.

5 Star Rating We were a group of friends, 5 people. The place is in Chinatown and small. It doesn't accept reservations, but the line is fast (we waited 10 min). The service was incredibly kind, funny, fast and attentive. We celebrated a friend's bday and 2 friends who are becoming fathers and the staff started to sing with us 🤣 they kept our desserts in their fridge (very nice of em). The best part is the food, oh boy so delicious!! The portions super huge (i suggest to share) and very cheap (5 people, average of 2 plates each person, 81$🥲). 5 stars definitely deserved! I suggest to try house noodles beef with broccoli! They accept only cash, but the ATM is just in front the restaurant (right after the street lights, behind the corner).

4 Star Rating Very tasty food, and one of the more affordable spots in Chinatown! Lunch runs us about 30$ for two people and is always filling and delicious. It may not serve the BEST dumplings in the area, but we still find ourselves returning for the coziness, comfort food, & low price. Oh, and remember to bring cash!!!

4 Star Rating They serve good Chinese dishes. I ordered soup dumplings (pork), chicken fried rice, and noodles with spicy pork. All the dishes were delicious. Their food is not high-end (which is what you’d expect, right?) but it's affordable and delicious—classic American Chinese food. This spot is recommended for hungry tourists who want to try Chinese cuisine."

4 Star Rating The atmosphere is super enjoyable and the experience is definitely nice. The service was really good and their staff is friendly. This place is definitely great for healthier food options, but it's nothing extraordinary. Although, I really liked the goma sauce and the spicy broth. I took the chicken breast combo but I think there were better options. It was also pretty pricey, but I think it was worth it, especially if you're going with friends, it's a super fun experience.

They were so delicious, always fresh and more affordable, I feel like the quality has really went down, the icing is much more sweeter and the cake is not moist. I’ve bought them as few times the past year or so and it happened more than once that the cupcakes were not fresh. I’ve giving many tries, but Im really disappointed.

5 Star Rating We came here for a quick bite while exploring the area. Definitely recommended. There are two entrances - the street side on St Catherine Street and one from inside Complexe Desjardins. We went for a regular coffee, a Dragon fruit Aqua Fresca, a Peach Ice Tea, an Oats muffin, a Caprese sandwich and Falafel wrap. Everything was great, except for Falafel where sweet potatoes tasted out of place. The lady at the counter was very patient (as we took a little more than usual time to decide the order) and friendly. Great service. It's a pedestrian street, at least during summer I think, so parking can be tricky near St Catherine Street. Definitely recommended!!

This could have been easily avoided if they had mentioned it on their website!!! Anyways we ended up eating the "Poulet Gaufré" and the "Bénédictines au confit de Canard" and they tasted good enough! 3 Star Rating The dumplings were decent, but not particularly memorable. Presentation was pretty standard, nothing to write home about, and while the portion size was reasonable , it didn’t quite make up for the overall lack of wow factor. 4 Star Rating Disclaimer: I went to this restaurant at the end of the day, about an hour and a half before closing on a Monday. So I'm not going to judge too harshly. I really enjoyed the vibe. I kept thinking I was in a movie in the 80s. Which is great. The service was great. I'd like to try another dish before I make a final judgment. Because the chicken fried rice and dumplings were super good. My BBQ beef was a little "bony." What can I say? I'd still recommend it, though. Also, it wasn't super expensive for what you got!

3 Star Rating Food was a 3/5 for us, the meats (bbq pork and duck) were both just too salty which perhaps we are the outliers who find that many restaurants in Montreal serve extremely salty meat. Loved the laid back ambience and staff tho. Would return for a nice cold ice tea out of the hot sun.

4 Star Rating Great place to go in Chinatown. The food is great (although my roast duck did have a lot of bones). The wonton soup is a must have. It's large enough for 2-3 people to share and comes with 4 wontons. It has a great onion flavor. My favorite of the meats is the roast pork - which is really pork belly with crispy skin. Even in soup the skin stays crispy. The char sui is also very good. They also have a very refreshing Hong Kong Lemon Iced Tea. The restaurant itself is tucked away and there is often a line. The line can be long, but it moves fast. Once seated, the service is very rushed and uneven. They usually only have two servers for the whole restaurant who also clean and prepare some parts of orders. I ordered the roast pork one time but the server messed up the order and brought char sui - lesson learned, triple check your order with them. You also might need to flag down your server. If you get there too late they usually run out of the more popular items and what they have when you sit down might not be what they have when you order. Because of the short staff, the tables and chairs are not always cleaned properly.

5 Star Rating If you’re a noodle lover visiting Montreal, Nouilles de Lan Zhou is a must-stop destination. I arrived for an early lunch with my family at 11:15 AM, and the timing couldn’t have been better—no wait, and we got a cozy spot in their lively Chinatown location. We ordered the medium-sized bowls of their signature hand-pulled beef noodle soup. To our surprise, the “medium” was enormous, definitely generous enough to satisfy a hearty appetite. The broth was light yet full of depth, with just the right amount of spice to warm you up on a cold Montreal day. The thinly sliced beef melted in the mouth, while the noodles, freshly pulled to order, had that perfect balance of chew and tenderness. The bowl is also a visual delight, topped with vibrant cilantro, green onions, chili oil, and a dollop of spicy bean paste that packs a punch if you mix it in. Pro tip: Come hungry or share a bowl if you’re not a big eater! Overall, this spot delivers authentic flavors and excellent value for money. Be sure to arrive early because it’s easy to see how this place fills up quickly! Would I return? Absolutely!

5 Star Rating If you're in the mood for a fun dining experience with tasty food, you absolutely need to check out Nouilles de Lan Zhou! One of the coolest things about this noodle shop is watching the chefs craft fresh noodles right in front of you—it's such a mesmerizing sight! The noodles are chewy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The menu is packed with a great variety, so there’s definitely something for everyone to enjoy. Honestly, I’ve had the best hand-pulled noodles here! You can pick the size of your dish, whether you want small or large, the thickness of the noodles, and even how spicy you’d like the soup. The meat is super tender, and the rich beef broth is just mouthwatering! Plus, the portions are huge and the prices are really reasonable. The service is top-notch as well! You’re in for a treat!

5 Star Rating Came here for the hand-pulled noodles, and they didn’t disappoint. There was a fairly long line, but it was mostly a few big groups that we ended up skipping past. The menu is small and they were out of the beef tendon, so we tried the beef soup combo and the veggie soup combo (with beef broth instead of veggie broth, which was available). Both were quite good and had the same broth, and the noodles were very good and chewy. The side dishes were nice to go with, but were better for garnishing than just eating plain. We also did not get the tea boil egg that comes with the combo, they must have forgot, as did we. The place is fairly cramped and the service was good enough.
