We had a great meal at Jardin Nelson. The shrimp was actually amazing, one of the best I have ever had. The pizza was good with a nice crust.
We asked a couple different staff other than our waitress a question and they rolled their eyes at us, and got our waitress. So for this is why we can only give it a 4 star. Great location

Jardin Nelson offers an amazing atmosphere that’s hard to beat, especially with the live jazz music that sets a perfect tone for a relaxed evening. The inside terrace is a true gem, beautifully authentic and unique to this spot, making the ambiance feel special.
The food is good and tasty, living up to the expectations, though the service was a bit slower than usual during my visit. Despite this, the staff were attentive and friendly, which added to the overall positive experience.
Being in the heart of Old Montreal, the prices are on the higher end, but the quality of the experience justifies it. If you ever find yourself in Montreal, Jardin Nelson is definitely worth a visit.

Jardin Nelson gets full marks for the atmosphere and the service; too bad the food isn't up to the same level.
Full disclosure, I can't speak to the whole menu because this was my first visit. That being said, given the cosy trendy atmosphere with live jazz music, and the excellent customer service, you expect the food to also be exceptional, but unfortunately it's not.
For now, I would recommend that you go for the atmosphere and order a drink and a dessert ... you won't be disappointed. Hopefully as I return and try more of their menu I may be able to then find a dish worth recommending.

Very enjoyable setting eating on the terrace among many hanging plants. The crepes are a coarser consistency than I was familiar with without softness, but good flavor. The daikon radish garnish salad was nice. Sesame chicken salad was quite good. Tomato cheese appetizer was tasty. Jazz music playing but not Iive during our visit. Excellent service.

Great place in Old Montreal. The food was excellent and the drinks were perfect! Especially on a warm summer evening. The lemonade really hit the spot! The crepes were delicious, in particular the smoked meat crepe. Combining two of my favourite Montreal foods in one!
The restaurant's decor and ambiance is something special. You can either sit out on the front patio, or in the back in the outdoor garden. Both great, this time we sat in the garden. It's so nice, there are tables on different levels, there are huge umbrellas and awnings to cover from the sun, and there is amazing live jazz music. It was such a nice place to spend the evening.
Service was very good too. Our server, Alexandre, was awesome!
Looking forward to our next visit there!

We’ve been wanting to come to dine at this restaurant for so long as we Iive, work next door and always park in front and today finally we got the chance to visit this amazing restaurant.
What really got my heart is the food and the service. The taste of every dish is exceptional and just melting in your mouth.
Special thanks to chef Alex. We are so grateful and lucky to have tried the food cooked by him. It was one of the best things we tasted in our life.
In this place they really treat you like royals and I recommend this to everyone who wants to experience the finest dining in town

An excellent place to have dinner in Montreal. Awesome food and service is very attentive. Starters were really good and the oysters preparation was excellent. Although the main course had some scopes of improvement, the dessert was perfect.

We have been going back to Chasse et Pêche for many years now, including our wedding anniversaries and our Christmas work parties. We have NEVER been disappointed. I would call this an experience and a wonderful one that is! The service is on point and the staff make you feel at home. The venue gives you grandparent vibes in a nice way. I went for the MTL à table menu since they had vegan and gluten-free options. They started us off with bruschetta, and the plates kept coming. The minestrone was delicious and warming, the truffle and mushroom gnocchi was very good and generous portion, i would say you really need to love mushrooms. The brownie was more like a cake texture as it was on the drier side and not overly sweet which is perfect after a pasta meal. I loved that it had a lot of walnuts. The vegan icecream was just ok, I've had better. Overall great night and to top it of they gave us a rose when we left..how sweet!

Best Italian restaurant we’ve ever been to!! My wife, and I celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary here after countless hours of looking for the perfect anniversary dinner in Montreal.
The food was absolutely incredible. There is nothing remotely close to this restaurant in terms of service, food, ambience, and overall experience.
The service was like nothing we’ve ever experienced. Every staff member was so open, caring, and paid incredible amounts of attention to details on the small things. Thank you to the gentleman playing music, and the owner for the table side service.
Thank you so much to Le Muscadin for hosting us for our wedding anniversary and giving us an experience we will forever cherish. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Montreal.

A charming Italian restaurant in old Montreal with exceptionally great service and offering an elegant atmosphere.
The service is truly superb and impeccable. Our party of eight, order different dishes and all were devine and bursting in flavour.
I highly recommend Le Muscadin for any occasion.

Lunch menu is very limited but very good. The ravioli with lobster was amazing - especially the saffron sauce . The risotto with bourf was so tender but very filling. Lunch was served with bruschetta (included) with lots of flavor. Desert was included. We felt a little underdress

This Italian restaurant in Old Montreal is truly Beautiful and an absolute must-visit. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The food is authentic and bursting with rich flavors – you can taste the quality in every bite. The drinks were not only fantastic but also generously portioned and reasonably priced. The service was outstanding; the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, adding to the experience regardless of where you’re from. It was our first visit, and it made our trip unforgettable. I can’t wait to come back!

Food is quite good and its IPA is fairly good of taste so I ordered additional one during my lunch. However, the free salad bar will be available only the case whole member order their each food not sharing the less dishes than whole member. The appetizer bread is quite tasty to boom up of taste.

We recently dined at this restaurant , and the food was outstanding. The lamb chops with pesto spaghetti were the absolute highlight of the meal—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. Their salad bar was fresh and well-stocked, and the tiramisu was a deliciously creamy treat to end the meal.
However, the service could use a bit of improvement. Our starter was forgotten, and we weren’t offered fresh Parmesan or pepper, which would have enhanced the experience. Despite these minor issues, the quality of the food makes L’Usine de Spaghetti worth a visit!

Cozy vibes and yummy pasta. Love that they have an all you can eat open salad bar! I'm not crazy about escargot, but if you wanna try it, definitely add the cheese.

The perfect place for a nice dinner with a friend or a date. The pasta was good but the lamb chops were some of the best I’ve ever had. I savored every bite until my plate was clean. The atmosphere was slightly intimate but not overly romantic. The prices were somewhat high but after eating the food I understood why. It’s that good. If you ever want some good pasta this should be the top of your list.

If you grew up with an emotional bond with Italian food and/or pasta is comfort food for you, this place is your go to spot. I don't have either relationship with these foods so it was just good spaghetti. The calamari was pretty good. The live music was fantastic so we chose the patio.

Delicious food and atmosphere. Everything exceeded expectations and everyone was super kind. The pesto gnocchi was the best, and truffle fries to die for. Also a very nice patio seating.

Very nice restaurant with very good and attentive service. They allow dogs on the patio!!! Not many places do in the old port which sucks so this place was accommodating and they even offered our dogs water.
We got pizzas and they were great.

Delicious food and excellent atmosphere, but the service was very slow. The waiter was great, but it took a long time to get the food from the kitchen. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy either. It could have been an off night. I would try it again in the future.

Stopped into Trattoria Gio on your last day in Montreal. The atmosphere was very nice. They have outside dinning as well as their main dining room. I loved the copper pipe decor in the back. The food was very delicious. The sauce was definitely one of the better ones in the city. The presentation of the plates could be better. I feel like with the quality of taste they should have fresh parsley as a garnish not dried, and a better parmesan cheese available. Overall I recommend this restaurant for classic Italian cuisine.

Hole in the wall gem! Owner is really sweet. She gave excellent service, and the food was full of flavor.

Felt like having quick Cantonese dinner, found this gem in Chinatown, after checking out the menu, we order young chow fried rice, the portion was good however the taste wasn’t flavorful enough. Not salty enough and missing eggs and wok fire tasting (wok hay). Besides that only one waiter running the show, he was efficient and quick. Over all we ordered their two must order dishes, salt and pepper fried pork chops and chicken n shrimp with mayo sauce. Both dish was pretty decent, the portion to the pork chop was huge! Consumer Price index was over the chart! They must had 13 to 14 pieces of pork chops for under 14 cad. That is really good value! Besides that we ordered garlic stir fried buk choy, and bitter melon with black bean beef which was off the menu. Over all was great dinner with plenty of left over pork chops. I think we had like 7 pieces left. Will be back to this place when we are ever back to Montreal again.

Been here twice with different sizes of parties and both times were excellent. Both parties unanimously agreed that this is the best salt and pepper place in Montreal and we will be frequenting again. Serving portions were big and greatly priced. Both the lady and gentleman serving us both times were friendly and kind and gave us good recommendations. Gem of a place.

We went on a Monday evening closer to the kitchen closing time. The service was fine. The food was good and it was cool to have the robot serve us. Since we did not have that much time to finish everything, they were super understanding on not to charge us for everything we could not finish. Huge shout to the manager working that day thank you. The orange juice was good too but overall they have nice drink options as well.

The food in terms of BBQ was good. However. Sides were not ok.... Sushi was 3/5
I liked the service. Was quick and nice and the place was good with some distance between tables. I really suggest them to work more on the side dishes as they were not good ... The meet/chicken/fish BBQ was good but a bit salty

The meat wasn't the best quality, some of the food came with actual Pringle crackers... I don't know what the hype is about Korean bbq so maybe my review is biased but I don't think I'll be back. The sushi was the only redeeming quality of the restaurant along with the nice decor.

It's an all you can eat buffet combining Korean BBQ and Japanese sushi, Asian fashion style. The food is quite good and service is actually nice for a buffet. It's always very popular so there is often a waiting line. It's good enough for a visit every now and then.

The entrance is steeep but the food came out pretty fast around 1pm.
The spicy beef had a good amount of beef pieces and the spice definitely had a kick.
The miso also had a nice flavor , would recommend for a quick bite.

The restaurant seats are pretty narrow, and it feels more like a simple quick place for food. Ramen isn’t the best in town but has multiple side dishes and snacks. The servers are friendly but we had quite a wait to get our food.

Excellent tasty food. I went there with my son to have diner. We had a soup classique with pork and rice noodles, pork & beef dumplings, chicken brochettes. We also had a cheesecake and a fried bun for dessert. We found a very reasonable price for all this tasty amount of food. Pork dumplings were my favourites. My son loved the soup. And the staff is super nice. Highly recommend it.

Sumo Ramen is one of my favorite places to eat ramen in Montreal. It has a cute little vibe, offers more than just ramens, and the service is quick. The ramens are really tasty, I would recommand any of them, depending on what you're feeling at that moment.
From the previous years, they improved in terms of comfort with AC, which is a nice plus and makes the experience more enjoyable during hot weather.
It's definitely a must try and I would heavily recommend. The price is very decent too.

We ordered sumo ramen 🍜 with pepper soup, the beef stew rice bowl and the egg tofu. The ramen was tasty, the soup was also good (not salty). The beef stew rice bowl was a bit spicy but tasty. Egg tofu was yummy especially when it was still hot (right after they served it!).

If you’re a noodle lover visiting Montreal, Nouilles de Lan Zhou is a must-stop destination. I arrived for an early lunch with my family at 11:15 AM, and the timing couldn’t have been better—no wait, and we got a cozy spot in their lively Chinatown location.
We ordered the medium-sized bowls of their signature hand-pulled beef noodle soup. To our surprise, the “medium” was enormous, definitely generous enough to satisfy a hearty appetite. The broth was light yet full of depth, with just the right amount of spice to warm you up on a cold Montreal day. The thinly sliced beef melted in the mouth, while the noodles, freshly pulled to order, had that perfect balance of chew and tenderness.
The bowl is also a visual delight, topped with vibrant cilantro, green onions, chili oil, and a dollop of spicy bean paste that packs a punch if you mix it in. Pro tip: Come hungry or share a bowl if you’re not a big eater!
Overall, this spot delivers authentic flavors and excellent value for money. Be sure to arrive early because it’s easy to see how this place fills up quickly!
Would I return? Absolutely!

If you're in the mood for a fun dining experience with tasty food, you absolutely need to check out Nouilles de Lan Zhou! One of the coolest things about this noodle shop is watching the chefs craft fresh noodles right in front of you—it's such a mesmerizing sight! The noodles are chewy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
The menu is packed with a great variety, so there’s definitely something for everyone to enjoy. Honestly, I’ve had the best hand-pulled noodles here! You can pick the size of your dish, whether you want small or large, the thickness of the noodles, and even how spicy you’d like the soup. The meat is super tender, and the rich beef broth is just mouthwatering!
Plus, the portions are huge and the prices are really reasonable. The service is top-notch as well! You’re in for a treat!

We are visiting from the states and were recommended to come here by one of the great guides at the tourist information center. The wait was worth it. We probably waited like 25 minutes outside but it was fun to watch the noodles being pulled in the window and it was part of the experience.
The noodles were excellent and the portions were huge!

I recently visited Nouilles de Lan Zhou, and it was a culinary experience I won't soon forget! The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, making you feel right at home the moment you walk in. What truly sets this noodle shop apart is the mesmerizing sight of the chefs making fresh noodles right in the window. It's not just a meal; it's a show!
The homemade noodles are nothing short of incredible—chewy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Each dish I tried was bursting with authentic flavors that transported me straight to the heart of noodle culture. The menu offers a great variety, ensuring there's something for everyone.
If you're looking for a unique dining experience with delicious food and a lively atmosphere, Nouilles de Lan Zhou is the place to be. I can't wait to go back for another bowl of those amazing noodles! Highly recommend! 🍜✨

Came here for the hand-pulled noodles, and they didn’t disappoint. There was a fairly long line, but it was mostly a few big groups that we ended up skipping past. The menu is small and they were out of the beef tendon, so we tried the beef soup combo and the veggie soup combo (with beef broth instead of veggie broth, which was available). Both were quite good and had the same broth, and the noodles were very good and chewy. The side dishes were nice to go with, but were better for garnishing than just eating plain. We also did not get the tea boil egg that comes with the combo, they must have forgot, as did we. The place is fairly cramped and the service was good enough.
