We had a great meal at Jardin Nelson. The shrimp was actually amazing, one of the best I have ever had. The pizza was good with a nice crust. We asked a couple different staff other than our waitress a question and they rolled their eyes at us, and got our waitress. So for this is why we can only give it a 4 star. Great location

Jardin Nelson offers an amazing atmosphere that’s hard to beat, especially with the live jazz music that sets a perfect tone for a relaxed evening. The inside terrace is a true gem, beautifully authentic and unique to this spot, making the ambiance feel special. The food is good and tasty, living up to the expectations, though the service was a bit slower than usual during my visit. Despite this, the staff were attentive and friendly, which added to the overall positive experience. Being in the heart of Old Montreal, the prices are on the higher end, but the quality of the experience justifies it. If you ever find yourself in Montreal, Jardin Nelson is definitely worth a visit.

Great place in Old Montreal. The food was excellent and the drinks were perfect! Especially on a warm summer evening. The lemonade really hit the spot! The crepes were delicious, in particular the smoked meat crepe. Combining two of my favourite Montreal foods in one! The restaurant's decor and ambiance is something special. You can either sit out on the front patio, or in the back in the outdoor garden. Both great, this time we sat in the garden. It's so nice, there are tables on different levels, there are huge umbrellas and awnings to cover from the sun, and there is amazing live jazz music. It was such a nice place to spend the evening. Service was very good too. Our server, Alexandre, was awesome! Looking forward to our next visit there!

Jardin Nelson gets full marks for the atmosphere and the service; too bad the food isn't up to the same level. Full disclosure, I can't speak to the whole menu because this was my first visit. That being said, given the cosy trendy atmosphere with live jazz music, and the excellent customer service, you expect the food to also be exceptional, but unfortunately it's not. For now, I would recommend that you go for the atmosphere and order a drink and a dessert ... you won't be disappointed. Hopefully as I return and try more of their menu I may be able to then find a dish worth recommending.

Hidden gem in the heart of old Montreal bussiest street! It is a beautiful garden with natural flowers everywhere, making the dining experience very enjoyable :)! Service was superb , lovely jazz live music and excellent food ! The only thing that didn’t like was the lack of steak in their menu ( lol we have meat lovers in out family )! I would definitely go back anytime:)

I've dined here many times and will be back again - perfect for a family gathering (less than 8 people) or romantic date. The food is incredible, we had the duck and wagyu beef which were both perfection. The wines were stellar, perfectly matched with our food. The service is top, very on point but also personable which makes you feel comfortable and relaxed.

I had an excellent evening here at Le Club Chasse et Pêche! It was on a week night so not crowded at all which set the perfect mood for an intimate dinner. Our waiter was very helpful with suggesting a wine pairing and gave us attentive service throughout the whole meal. The risotto, duck and wagyu were all SO delicious! The pommes dauphines were literally perfect and I still think about them. This restaurant is a new favorite of mine!

We have been going back to Chasse et Pêche for many years now, including our wedding anniversaries and our Christmas work parties. We have NEVER been disappointed. Their risotto foie gras is a must try that keeps us coming back for more… paired with amazing service and intimate setting to are guaranteed a memorable experience.

We’ve been wanting to come to dine at this restaurant for so long as we Iive, work next door and always park in front and today finally we got the chance to visit this amazing restaurant. What really got my heart is the food and the service. The taste of every dish is exceptional and just melting in your mouth. Special thanks to chef Alex. We are so grateful and lucky to have tried the food cooked by him. It was one of the best things we tasted in our life. In this place they really treat you like royals and I recommend this to everyone who wants to experience the finest dining in town

What a lovely cozy fine dining spot in old port of Montreal. The foie gras risotto was amazing 🤩. I enjoyed the duck which was good. My favourite was the dessert, an chocolate eclair with caramel, fresh cream, ice cream & cookie crumble. I have never tasted anything this delicious. 😋 Overall will come back! Thank you

If you’re looking for a place with a nice atmosphere and decent Italian food, this spot at the old port is worth checking out. The vibe inside is great—warm and inviting. They have a small salad buffet included with the main meal, and they also offer bread and butter. A slight downside was the butter being too frozen, making it difficult to spread. We tried the dish number 18 and the number 12. Both were good—nothing that really blew us away, but still enjoyable. What really makes this place stand out is the location. It’s right in the heart of the Old Port, which is such a fun area to explore. I’d recommend wandering around the old streets, soaking in the scenery, and then stopping here for a meal. It’s more about the overall experience than just the food alone, and for that, I’d say it’s worth a visit.

This is an awesome location in Old Montreal! Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The food is solid, and there are several vegetarian options. Bottles of wine are reasonably priced, and the salad bar is a unique feature! The lighting, decor, and music are all thoughtfully designed and create a beautiful setting. Our party of five walked in ~5PM and was seated immediately without a reservation. There was a line on our way out, so larger groups may benefit from making a reservation.

This Italian restaurant in Old Montreal is truly Beautiful and an absolute must-visit. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The food is authentic and bursting with rich flavors – you can taste the quality in every bite. The drinks were not only fantastic but also generously portioned and reasonably priced. As Italian I never believed I could enjoy pasta far away from my country…. There it is! this place serves pasta properly cooked! Quite some French influence (of course) but nevertheless I experienced some innovative approach on serving good products on affordable prices. Service was fantastic and atmosphere very comfortable… In short 1- I appreciated the care of the service in a very busy restaurant 2 - good food and good portions 3 - quality and price perfect balance (worth it every penny) 4 - place, vibe etc. worth it to come back We were 2 adults as and 2 kids…. The lobster linguini and lamb chops spaghetti are worth trying! The lamb chops are tender, though its spaghetti is just okay. They also offer a free salad bar, and the complimentary bread comes in two types, a classic baguette and a flavorful onion-garlic option, both are good. However, the restaurant is too popular and often crowded, so the service can be a bit slow.

Holy crap the food is NOT worth price or calories. Ceaser salad was giving East Side Mario’s and pizza was Delissio from the frozen section. Pasta sauce was incredibly watery and bland, wasn’t even offered cracked pepper (the pastas were close to $30 each). Our server was sweet and reassuring when the drinks took long, they also killed the dirty martini and spicy margarita so that’s the reason I didn’t give 1 star. Pleeeeease save yourself and pick a different spot.

If you grew up with an emotional bond with Italian food and/or pasta is comfort food for you, this place is your go to spot. I don't have either relationship with these foods so it was just good spaghetti. The calamari was pretty good. The live music was fantastic so we chose the patio.

Delicious food and atmosphere. Everything exceeded expectations and everyone was super kind. The pesto gnocchi was the best, and truffle fries to die for. Also a very nice patio seating.

Very nice restaurant with very good and attentive service. They allow dogs on the patio!!! Not many places do in the old port which sucks so this place was accommodating and they even offered our dogs water. We got pizzas and they were great.

Delicious food and excellent atmosphere, but the service was very slow. The waiter was great, but it took a long time to get the food from the kitchen. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy either. It could have been an off night. I would try it again in the future.

Huge portions. Excellent value. Very flavourful food. My husband and I shared the famous All Dressed Salt and Pepper Pork Chops with Rice, General Tao Chicken and Peanut Butter Wontons. The pork chops were way too greasy for my liking, but my husband loved them. I enjoyed the flavour, just not all the fat. The General Tao Chicken was oddly tough and chewy but the sauce was fantastic. I loved the peanut butter wontons.

Felt like having quick Cantonese dinner, found this gem in Chinatown, after checking out the menu, we order young chow fried rice, the portion was good however the taste wasn’t flavorful enough. Not salty enough and missing eggs and wok fire tasting (wok hay). Besides that only one waiter running the show, he was efficient and quick. Over all we ordered their two must order dishes, salt and pepper fried pork chops and chicken n shrimp with mayo sauce. Both dish was pretty decent, the portion to the pork chop was huge! Consumer Price index was over the chart! They must had 13 to 14 pieces of pork chops for under 14 cad. That is really good value! Besides that we ordered garlic stir fried buk choy, and bitter melon with black bean beef which was off the menu. Over all was great dinner with plenty of left over pork chops. I think we had like 7 pieces left. Will be back to this place when we are ever back to Montreal again.

Loved this place. If you have an appetite of an hungry bear , this is the spot for you. You have to grill the meats and certain side dishes to your liking. I think the meats should have a bit more seasoning or flavor to it before grilling but overall the food is pretty decent. I love the robots helpers. They are really cute and fun to watch them help bringing the food out to tables.

We went on a Monday evening closer to the kitchen closing time. The service was fine. The food was good and it was cool to have the robot serve us. Since we did not have that much time to finish everything, they were super understanding on not to charge us for everything we could not finish. Huge shout to the manager working that day thank you. The orange juice was good too but overall they have nice drink options as well.

Very very good food and quality, service from our little robot was fast too. I tried a drink special “Whiskey Peach Iced Tea” which was well balanced with whisky and sweet tea. It was $43/person on a Sunday night

The food in terms of BBQ was good. However. Sides were not ok.... Sushi was 3/5 I liked the service. Was quick and nice and the place was good with some distance between tables. I really suggest them to work more on the side dishes as they were not good ... The meet/chicken/fish BBQ was good but a bit salty

The meat wasn't the best quality, some of the food came with actual Pringle crackers... I don't know what the hype is about Korean bbq so maybe my review is biased but I don't think I'll be back. The sushi was the only redeeming quality of the restaurant along with the nice decor.

The entrance is steeep but the food came out pretty fast around 1pm. The spicy beef had a good amount of beef pieces and the spice definitely had a kick. The miso also had a nice flavor , would recommend for a quick bite.

The restaurant seats are pretty narrow, and it feels more like a simple quick place for food. Ramen isn’t the best in town but has multiple side dishes and snacks. The servers are friendly but we had quite a wait to get our food.

We ordered sumo ramen 🍜 with pepper soup, the beef stew rice bowl and the egg tofu. The ramen was tasty, the soup was also good (not salty). The beef stew rice bowl was a bit spicy but tasty. Egg tofu was yummy especially when it was still hot (right after they served it!).

Excellent tasty food. I went there with my son to have diner. We had a soup classique with pork and rice noodles, pork & beef dumplings, chicken brochettes. We also had a cheesecake and a fried bun for dessert. We found a very reasonable price for all this tasty amount of food. Pork dumplings were my favourites. My son loved the soup. And the staff is super nice. Highly recommend it.

We are visiting from the states and were recommended to come here by one of the great guides at the tourist information center. The wait was worth it. We probably waited like 25 minutes outside but it was fun to watch the noodles being pulled in the window and it was part of the experience. The noodles were excellent and the portions were huge!

Came here for the hand-pulled noodles, and they didn’t disappoint. There was a fairly long line, but it was mostly a few big groups that we ended up skipping past. The menu is small and they were out of the beef tendon, so we tried the beef soup combo and the veggie soup combo (with beef broth instead of veggie broth, which was available). Both were quite good and had the same broth, and the noodles were very good and chewy. The side dishes were nice to go with, but were better for garnishing than just eating plain. We also did not get the tea boil egg that comes with the combo, they must have forgot, as did we. The place is fairly cramped and the service was good enough.

It was lunch time on a Sunday and craving for some authentic pho. Most of the nearby restaurants have long lineups and we traded for Pho Bang New York with no line up, and it was getting late. We ordered 2 identical medium Size rare beef Pho, nothing sophisticated and basic in order that we can get our order fast. What is basic for one is not basic for others as it took a long time to get just 2 bowls of Pho. The soup was hot but not boiling hot as I would have expected. Taste was just OK, and the amount of meat was satisfactory. I was sitting at the end table facing the kitchen entrance and I can tell you that the sight was not a good one. I can tell when hygiene is not on the top priority list. I hate to visualize how the interior kitchen would look like. We finished our lunch and went to the cashier to foot the bill and a sign “ Cash Only” took me by total surprise. I do not always carry cash on me but luckily I had just enough to settle the bill. I subsequently read the reviews and crystal clear that I am not the only one caught with the Cash Only situation. This teaches me a lesson of not reading the reviews before going in a restaurant or business.

Everything that you look for in a restaurant, great quality food, excellent service, food came up really fast, the place was clean! And with a reasonable price. We spent $35 in 2 bowls and an extra plate of chicken tacos that the server recommended, they were really good! It was so hungry and it was so good that I forgot to take pictures of the incredible food hahahaha. I recommend plate #36 with the additional chicken tacos.

We choose pho for dinner. It was so good. The broth rich but not too bold suitable with the spices..i will recommend if the weather cold that would be perfect 😄✌️
