Konzerthaus Berlin
The Konzerthaus is a magnificent concert hall situated between the French Cathedral and the German Cathedral at Gendarmenmarkt Square. It honours poet, philosopher and historian Friedrich Schiller, who's regarded as one of the most significant dramatists and lyricists of the German language.
The first hall on the site was built by Friedrich the Great as a theatre venue in the early 1800s
The theatre was subjected to major damage during the bombing of World War II. Rebuilding began in 1977 with the exterior faithfully replicating the original design. The inside was modified to meet the needs of its new role as a concert hall. It opened in 1984 with a gala concert performance by the Berlin Symphony Orchestra.
In addition to being a wonderful building for aficionados of architecture the Konzerthaus is considered to be one of the acoustically best venues for concerts and opera in the world.
Today, the Konzerthaus is home to the Konzerthausorchester symphony orchestra. Their performances range from chamber music to major symphonies and from early to comtemporary classical music. Each season they present a special theme.
A variety of tours are available ranging from free walk-throughs to family and group tours for a very small fee. More information is available on the Konzerthaus Berlin website.

Excellent acoustics for classical music and comfortable seating. Adequate leg room for even tall people.
The pictures are from the balcony (1 rang), row 2 (reihe 2), seat 9 (platz 9).
The room is so beautiful that there is enough to do during the break by studying the ceiling, the busts of famous composers, the chandeliers etc.

A beautiful building, classics of architect Karl F Schinkel, early in the 19th century.
Originally built as a theater venue, however, considered by many (not by me) as one of the best acoustic halls is Europe. It actually contains a large and a small hall, therefore, often running more than one show at the time.
Personally, I don’t think the acoustics to be extraordinary, as a matter of fact, if t wasn’t for all the acoustic reflectors added more recently, it probably would be quite poor. This, as far as I can tell, because the halls are rectangular and flat, with no noticeable features that would enhance acoustics. Also no features that enhances the audiences view of the stage, particularly once you’re seated past row 10.
