Cheap, iconic, touristy, traditional, quick - these are all really good descriptions as to why Curry 36 is a place you should visit immediately Berlin. It’s one of the best ways to try the traditional currywurst, with fries and ketchup and mayo for less than €10!

Excellent vegan curry. Service was pretty fast. Fries were excellent too. This place was packed the whole time I was eating.

If you're looking for a place in Berlin to enjoy a traditional German wurst quickly, "Curry 36" is the spot for you. This iconic eatery is famous across the city and a must-visit for any sausage lover. The recommended dish is the Currywurst, served with a special curry sauce and crispy fries on the side. The service is fast and efficient, making it ideal for those seeking a quick and authentic meal without compromising on taste. With its central location, authentic Berlin atmosphere, and reasonable prices, Curry 36 is a top choice.

I ate at this place every day in Berlin. The fact you can get two currywurst fries and a beer for around 11 euros is incredible. Not anywhere to sit hence not five stars but I get that currywurst is a casual affair.

Vegan sausage was good, but the neighborhood was bad (people urinating around, etc.)

Read reviews on google and booked today's lunch. It was superb! Everything from the fresh bread to homemade butter to appetizer, main course, I was totally satisfied. I ordered ice cream as dessert, that wasn't my favorite. But cafe latte was good. Well-worth 21 euros.

Average at best. Had a business lunch here. Service was good but food nothing great. I ordered a duck soup which tasted like salt and not much more and for main pork medallions which wee also salty with mash. Not sure if I would recommend the place.

Real Mexicans are cooking ... great flavors. Fast food, great taste. Not a big selection but definitely worth trying the asada especial!

Sam is the best waiter, great recommendations! The truffle tagliatelle is divine, and my friends burger, she said was absolutely fantastic. We were also here last night, and the food was so good we came back again.
Lovely restaurant, highly recommend it.

Me and my daughter came to berlin and we visited twice , the staff are especially welcoming . Our waiter santi was so attentive and lovely and if we ever come back to verlin we will be sure to visit here again . The food was 10/10 and the restaurants atmosphere was very relaxing

Walked past this restaurant and couldn’t help but notice how classy it looked from the outside. Very respectable. The open fire caught my eye, so we decided to pop in and try their pizza — wood-fired, of course. 🍕
The pizza? Not life-changing, but definitely good. Perfect for warming up with friends in this area. The place has some charm, though — high ceilings, big, interesting paintings on the walls, and these cool round chandeliers. They add a little personality to an otherwise pretty standard spot.
Service was solid. The waiters were quick, efficient, and earned themselves a solid 5 euros in tips. No complaints there. 💁♂️
Overall, it’s a decent place to stop by if you’re in the neighborhood. Not unforgettable, but nice enough. Plus, who doesn’t love a bit of fire with their pizza? 🔥😉

Staffs are very friendly but noone bring us menu and salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar when the bread are served...the risotto and salmon with lobster sauce are very delicious.
Will come again.

Yes, everything was ok.
The seasonal dishes were delicious.
I only want to say, there were no spicy on our table, since I took the salt, pepper, olive oil and vinegar from the next table for our bread, no big deal, it's all fine.

The inside and outside both absolutely breathtaking, the decorations and appearance is outstanding, very posh and elegant. The food is absolutely amazing, everything tastes immaculate and better than you could think. Its appearance is also better than described, each dish looks well presented. The service is incredible, they are all very friendly and welcome you by the door. Overall, if you had to pick a restaurant to go to in Berlin i would 1000% recommend that you choose Wartesaal.

We’ve been coming here for years and it’s been the default place where we take friends that visit Berlin. Over the last year and a half or so, the food quality has significantly declined. Staff and atmosphere are still great. But something is going on in the kitchen. Even the red velvet cake isn’t as red anymore. Meanwhile, prices have increased, portions have gotten smaller and the menu has become more complicated.

We had a birthday brunch for our friend. To start with, the service was very sluggish as they seemed to forget our orders while we were waiting for dishes to come for nearly one hour.
Also they didn't seem to have a dedicated waiter for us as I saw 3 different waiters.
In terms of food, I was happy with my greed bowl but my friend had a very small bowl of Sukshika (Tomatos with eggs) ,which looked like a side dish rather then a main dish. They also forgot to bring any bread so I asked for her.
In general, it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Very tasty surf & turf. This name is used in multiple other restaurants but Roca is the winner for me. The lobster was very well prepared, not overcooked, not too dry, easy to get everything out of the shell. My friends had burger and Currywurst and they were happy with the meals. The service was good but a bit slow.

The food was very tasty. I think the meat was well seasoned, but sadly it was a bit grainy in texture. Maybe it wasn’t stored in an ideal manner. Nonetheless that didn’t spoil the whole experience.
The staff was amazingly friendly and the atmosphere is quite nice. Just wish the tables would have a bit more privacy as it is normally the case in regular steakhouses, but again, it was just fine.
Overall I would recommend it and would definitely come again for a second evaluation :)

Great place for dinner and amazing service and attention by Ekrem. Ordered Mrs. Rumpsteak and rib-eye. it was so good, so tender. Salad was fresh and juicy. Apfelstrudel with vanilla ice cream is one of the best we eat ever. Enjoyed dinner a lot and thanks to chef and Ekrem.

I really loved this place. We asked for our steaks to be rare, and they were. They came with baked potatoes, garlic bread and salad. Also the apple strudel was delicious. The prices are decent compared to other places.

The service was really quick, we were there early in the afternoon. The food was nice, I expected bigger portions, however, compared to the prices. Nice selections of drinks, also nonalcoholic.

Made a reservation easily online. Food was very good. Good portion. Nice selection of food and definitely a good selection of drinks. They were running a Halloween special in drinks and they were so good. Here in a Friday night, so they had a DJ. They vibe was awesome! Our server was GREAT!! Thank you Sunny for being AWESOME!!

The main dish was not bad, nothing special, but good for Berlin. The started was tasty, we liked it. It’s recommended!!

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food this is not the place to go, the food is pretty much tasteless and lacks any sort of spice that you would find in typical Mexican food. The wait staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. That was the one pleasing moment of our visit here.

We were there early morning; the upstairs was not open to customers, so I am talking about my experience in the ground floor of the cafe. We, six people, barely fitted; the dishes looked pretty but were not tasty at all. The coffee was also just mid-quality. They brought one order wrong. The location is great; the view is wonderful.

The No-Chicken No-Cry salad was delicious with a light vinaigrette and fresh bread on the side. But even better was the service. The host and the waitress were cheerful, friendly and helpful. Upstairs dining area was large and had a nice view of the mall entrance below

We went for lunch and loved the variety on the menu. Lots of meat-free dishes too which is great. Everything is made fresh to order and we couldn’t fault any of our dishes.

The atmosphere is really nice! I went there for a date during the afternoon and it was beautiful seeing the sunset while we ate and had our drinks. It is not my first time going but this food was one of my favorites. It is a breakfast egg Benedict but it’s called Royal Benny.
Paty - 4 months ago
We had a nice breakfast here, but it is a bit pricey. My porridge was really nice- I chose it primarily because I needed something to eat that was wheat and dairy free. When I asked the maitre'd about their gluten free options he wasn't very helpful- he was only interested in making it clear that they can't offer anything gluten free. So, if you are coeliac or have a wheat or dairy allergy don't eat here. But, if you're like me, and just have a wheat or dairy intolerance, then they have a better menu choice than other cafes in the touristy areas of Berlin.

Quality Italian meal in a beautiful setting with friendly service.
The menu is large and features many great pasta, beef and fish options, and a nice selection of wine to compliment each type of dish. I also recommend the outdoor seating area when the weather allows is nice.

A very cool place but a little far.
A lot of people but there was a place for us to sit without reservations.
The service was lovely.
The food was a little slow.
The wine was good.
The atmosphere was romantic.
The truffle pasta with beef was delicious.
The Duck was rich and not as appetizing.
But the taste was still ok.
Wish there were veggies or something to make the plate shine.
Overall it was a lovely visit.

It's just near the TU Berlin, not too crowded on weekdays, no reservations needed. Great don for the price (under 10 Euro), full of chopped salmon and veggies. The bento box sashimi was very fresh and the accompaniments were great. Crispy Tempura..

Quick and good. Waitress are smiling and super fast to take orders and serve. You sit and they bring you a free tea (during the lunch time). Choose what you want and in an average of 5/10 minutes you are eating. That happen also when the place is full. Food is fresh and good. Lunch time (11.30 - 15.00) there are special discount. Definitely recommend.

Such a nice cafe near Zoologische Garten Station. Have both indoor and outdoor area for you. And actually it’s inside of the American House building, you can have a coffee after visit the museum or exhibition.
They offer coffee, tea and cakes.
Many people there talking and working on laptop there, little bit crowded.

Hello !
I can see you guys care about reviews, I hope this one can be a constructive one.
We visited the cafe yesterday before entering the exhibition, we ordered 2 chai lattes w/oat milk and 1 piece of banana bread (around 12.50€).
Chai lattes tasted barely like nothing to chai. It tasted like just warm milk with a quarter of a teaspoon of supermarket industrial chai powder. (Which I think is crazy expensive since we payed around 4€ x cup)
Perhaps it’s worth it to invest a bit more and try a better product like “prana chai” or “black sense chai syrup” or maybe try making a blend yourselves and perhaps adjust the ratio of chai/ milk.
We also ordered a banana bread which was super dry and it was such a thin slice (also expensive for 4,50€) … taste was flat.
Service was ok/normal and the place as well.
I’ll give it another try next time I visit c/o.
