The rasam soup was perfect for cold winter evenings. We ordered chicken with spinach and with coconut. Both of them were packed with flavors and served with a good quality of rice. The ambience is pleasant and calm with beautiful paintings and 90s bollywood hits playing in the background.

A very warm and cosy place with lots of food options. Menu is extensive and good variety. Food tastes good too. A must-visit if you are around this area. Hospitality is something you will truly admire.

The restaurant is located in Prenzlauer Berg locality of Berlin. This area is vibrant and full of cafes and restaurants. The restaurant has enough space inside for guests. In summer, one can also sit outside. Their speciality is indian cuisine. The prices are reasonable. However, the portions were a bit smaller. On every second sunday they organize all you can eat buffet and the price is quite low but the quality and variety are not that great as well. Therefore that buffet is not highly recommended. The taste is good and close to the authentic indian cuisine but not excellent. Service is good and the personnel are there very attentive. Cleanliness is okay but can be improved.

Wonderful place and underrated I wish it was more full. Staff are friendly and decorations are beautiful as well. The food and drinks are cheap and tasty - highly recommend!

A very classy nice restaurant. A warm welcoming, followed by an excellent service, with a lot of attention to details on order to please you.
The menu offers a wide variety of options, and everything we tried was delicious. I especially loved the creative twists on classic dishes.”

Wow, if you are looking for some amazing and authentic sushi in Berlin, I definitely recommend this restaurant. Make sure to book your table as it can get packed and it’s so worth it! It’s a chill spot where you can enjoy some great sushi for a great price.

Amazing sushi place.
Probably I would keep the crown of best sushis of Berlin between them and Sasaya.
Loved the super fresh fish, delicious combinations, perfectly cooked rice, beautiful ceramics and a lovely, calm and peaceful atmosphere.
Extra kudos for an AC (not so common in Berlin) and for being pet friendly.
Absolutely wonderful experience, can only recommend!
Thanks for the great service as well.

Specializing in seafood, particularly exquisite sushi and Nigiri, this Korean-Japanese restaurant is a standout. The menu is fantastic, and if you're a sushi enthusiast, this is your safe haven 😊. The drinks and teas are truly enjoyable.

We were very lucky to get a bar table as we hadn't booked and it was totally full... We got a view of the chef and his aid who were... Working very hard... With quite a bit of flair to their work. It really was quite fantastic. Chef made an ice cream salmon sushi for our little girl who was incredibly happy with it.
I took the same whisky as the chef drank. It was excellent, as was the sushi. Definitely worth the price.

Wonderful experience !
On holidays for a few days in Berlin, we passed by this super cute restaurant and decided to try it randomly as big fans of spanish food.
Best decision of our Berlin experience so far !!!
The food was excellent, generous as it is in Spain families. We felt the authenticity in the dish ( look at the picture!!), the decoration fits totally my Andalousia souvenirs and the waitress was so kind and attentive. We dont even felt the wait thanks to the warm mood and the spanish music.
I do not post reviews often but i had such a great moment at this place, this time i do it !

The place is very nice, candles and low light…apprently there is some sort of club downstairs…an no one at the restaurant. So we were confused if maybe its more like a club/tapas place or what…only one person serving at the restaurant but very friendly and the food came very quickly…in general i did not like the quality/flavour of the tapas, tortilla was dried and overcooked, hummus with lack of tahini and garlic flavour…my favourites were the dateln with bacon and the chicken. They accepted card payment!

The food quality was excellent. We ordered 3 different tapas and a Paella for 3. Everything was delicious. Service was impeccable
Only negative side: it’s very pricey, especially if you are used to “Berlin prices”. Paella was 16.90€ each. Other than that, really nice experience!

Update: Just came to visit Berlin after 9 months again and had to come back to this gem! Also attached a picture of my tapas plate this time. I have a bunch of food allergies and the staff and chef were extremely accomodating and helpful!
Old: lovely restaurant near my Airbnb for the holidays in Berlin. Food was authentic and delicious, I highly recommend the Seafood Paella! Prices were fine. Service was funny and charming as well.

Lovely, quirky and charming café. Very friendly staff. Lemonade was excellent, pampered with a selection of fresh fruit bites, what a treat. Perfectly made iced coffee. Highly recommended!

The Cheese cake was delicious and I loved that the tee was not served in a small cup. The waitress was also very nice. I'd like to go back and try their breakfast someday.

I recently visited Cafe Zuckerstück, a small and cute cafe, and I have to say it was a delightful experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home.
As for the food, it was absolutely delicious! I ordered the pancakes and was pleasantly surprised by the large portion size - it was so big that I struggled to finish it! My friends also enjoyed their orders, and like me, they had trouble finishing them too.
The atmosphere of the cafe was really nice, and it was the perfect spot for a relaxing brunch. The small and cozy interior of the cafe added to the overall charm and made for a very enjoyable experience.
If you're looking to try some traditional German bread, I highly recommend this place. The quality of the food is exceptional and the service is top-notch. It's worth noting that the cafe also accepts card payment, which is always a plus.
Overall, It's a lovely little cafe with delicious food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

Small vintage and cute café managed by a sweet woman who sees to care about her business.
Food is good, although it came a bit slower than expected. Definitely a place to go a bit in advance before you start feeling hungry, but a wonderful place to spend an hour or two hanging out, drinking coffee / tea and enjoying the company of others.
It's not a place to be using your phone or wifi (there's none).
I ordered some pancakes, which were very tasty (different to what I'm accostumed to. Crunchier and more "eggy"). The marshmallow spread was overly sweet to my taste.
Price: 17€ for pancakes + Tea (not on the affordable side).

Literally the best pancakes we have ever eaten. No joke. Such a friendly and warm welcome from the staff too. Be warned though, if you eat their pancakes you will never stop thinking about them. We have been home from Europe for 6 months and I still day dream about their food constantly - hence me now writing this review!

I have been living in this area for about six months now, and I often visit Schönhauser Allee. I've never had any issues before, but today I walked in, in a great mood, ready to order my favorite salad. Unfortunately, I was met with such rudeness at the checkout that I just walked out. I don't speak German fluently, but I can usually understand the gist of what’s being said. From what I gathered, there was an issue with the cash register, but I wasn’t completely sure, so I asked if they could explain it to me in English. The only response I received was "no." Up until now, there have never been problems communicating in English, but even if someone doesn't feel comfortable speaking it, a smile and some effort to help would go a long way.

It is absolutely delighted with the vibrant salads, hearty rice bowls, and refreshing smoothies here. Each dish bursts with fresh, high-quality ingredients and incredible flavors. The teriyaki chicken bowl and tropical mango passion smoothie were standouts. Perfect for a nutritious, satisfying meal.

I was feeling lazy so decided to order take out (which I hate doing because it’s never as good is eating at the restaurant) but Dean&David delivered these delicious large full salad bowls. I really enjoyed this spot!! I had the vegan avocado bowl and my friend had chicken bowl which he said was good. I felt sorry for the chicken tho 😢

Awesome place! No matter how busy it gets, and they get super busy over lunch time (12-13h), the staff always tries their best to be fast and efficient! The salads and bowls are fresh and worth their money! In case you are one of these impatient people, stay away from their peak hours or drink a juice to calm your nerves ;-)

I’ve been to so many different Dean & David in Berlin and I always ordered the same menu - salmon avocado bowl + matcha latte. I feel like I’m doing A/B testing for them just to figure out which branch has the best quality for this menu set. This one is the closest one to my place, but somehow it’s just my first time to pay the visit. I guess I just don’t know how to appreciate the things that can be reached too easily. Anyway, back to the food, I think they served a very decent salmon avocado bowl, but the matcha latte still has some room to improve compared to the one I tried in another brach. Nevertheless, still a very fulfilling meal. I’m just trying to be picky here to pretend I have a high bar. After all, I am a local guide level 6! Too much talk, conclusion: highly recommend!!!!!

Gong Bao Ji Ding is often my benchmark for Chinese restaurants, I've tried countless renditions and this is one of the best and most authentic ones I've ever had, portion was also very large.

Can't remember how many times I had been here for the never disappointed dish - beef ribs. This time tried the big pot of soup, it was amazing good.
We were very satisfied with the great food and friendly services just a bit long waiting time after ordered. Will come again.

Quality Huaiyang cuisine in Berlin, very different menu from most of the Chinese restaurants here. Some special dishes are required to pre-order 1 day in advance.
MY BRE - a year ago
Nice place with excellent food, but will require patience and customer is not the king.
Food is overall good, with a quite distinct taste. Tried a couple of dishes, especially the hunan beef was excellent.
Drinks menu is OK, but some improvement potential on the services side: They forgot my drinks order completely (or they just came with it when I had already finsihed all) and English speaking level is clearly below acceptable.
So all in all food is 4.5 stars, but service only 3, so this time I have to objectively settle for a 4 as the food weighs higher.

Authentic Chinese food with specialty in spicy food
We went there because I wanted some specific Chinese food, such as spicy dock blood with intestines and green bean jelly.
We ordered 5 dishes- goiza (fried dumplings) with beef filling, green bean jelly with sesame sauce, fried beef in Hunan style( spicy) and the spicy duck blood with intestines.
Almost all the dishes are very strong flavors and well spiced. Definitely very authentic without adjustment for western taste.
I was very satisfied with the food and so was my 1-year-old son. He had a very good mood through the dinner. He loved the dumplings and the rice. The staffs there were very friendly. They interested with my son and it entertained him for sure. They also offered child chair.
They might be a bit under staff so the serving and the service was less efficient so be prepared when going there.

Lovely little gem for tapas in p-berg. Food is tasty with a good collection of meat and vegetables. I recommend the mushroom tapas, very delicious.
The atmosphere here is romantic but it's a tiny place with small tables, so it's quite difficult to move around.

Small quantity for big prices and not that good quality. The shrimp were still in the shell but cooked in a sauce, how were we supposed to eat that?
I will not recommend this place.

We were here in the evening for some coffee and snacks. The service is really good and the atmosphere is great as well. We really loved coffee and breads here. They also served free small pastries to each one of us, only thing was that the cakes they served for free and the brownie that we ordered was very sweet, so we couldn't eat it. But rest everything was great here.

Prepare to wait because not all waiters working there are efficient. You can only pay with card.
I’ve become a regular there.

I recently visited Formidable based on a friend’s recommendation, and it was WOW, amazing ! The service was top-notch; the guy who attended to us was super friendly and helpful, making great suggestions and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. I went for the pastrami sandwich, and it was fantastic! The meat was tender and perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of smokiness and spice, and the bread was fresh and warm, holding everything together beautifully. The portions were generous without feeling overwhelming. Overall, it was a great visit, good food and even better service! I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu.

Amazing flammkuchen and sandwiches, love the vibe here. Would definitely come back.
Sara - 5 months ago
This used to be our favourite Sandwich shop for years. Nice, light, and fresh and healthy. Sometimes we would have them multiple days a week and never felt any guilt because of how healthy they tasted. Sadly thats not the case anymore. The Sandwiches now arrive dripping in some oil, so much oil it drips out of the packaging, which we cannot understand, we always order the same turkey sub we always got so nothing changed from our side. Plus the healthy vibe is now completely gone. It tastes heavy and fatty, very fatty. Our last order was such that we could not finish it and felt a bit sick after. Not sure if they changed staff or ingredient sourcing but its now a shadow of the awesomeness we enjoyed routinely for many years.
My best wishes still to the place and I hope this review helps them to restore their superb quality again.
Yasir Ali - 3 months ago
The sandwiches are well put, they're firm and not collapsing, yet packed with fresh ingredients. The waiter was super friendly and glad to help with information for the order, spoke great English. He recommended iced white chocolate latte which was awesome, not too strong, not too weak with soft flavour. Would visit again if I'm around the area some day. (:

A nice sandwich, but not outstanding. I chose a tomato/mozzarella and paid 3 euros more to have the regular mozzarella replaced with buffalo. I got 3 small slices and couldn't taste it at all! They didn't have pastrami sandwiches that day, despite advertising it 🤦 Service was very friendly and nice to sit outside.
