you’re looking to experience authentic German cuisine and have a great time, head to this Bavarian Brauhaus. Centrally located, this charming restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu boasts a variety of traditional German dishes, all prepared with care and flavor. Whether you’re a tourist or a local, this restaurant promises a memorable dining experience with its delicious food and welcoming ambiance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Sometimes it’s better to reserve a table.

We stopped in for a snack and overall food was tasty and beer was flowing. Service was very friendly but a little slow at times. We ordered Hell and were also talked into getting the Octoberfest beer that was a little flat. I had better beer elsewhere during the weekend. We had sausages, mash and sauerkraut which was great and also potato soup

We visited on a busy Sunday evening and the service / food were amazing. We had the Goulash and apple strudel, and it did not disappoint. Will certainly be back! Cheers to the wait staff who were especially patient with the long line and many people.
Bell ring for kicking leg was a plus!

Every time me and my family come to Berlin, we always come to eat here. The place is cozy and authentic, the food is delicious in here! There is always plenty of people and no matter how many years have passed it’s great! Highly recommend!

I was hoping for more out of this one! I ordered a Brezel to start, which sadly never came, and our food came out before our drinks (which we ordered first). All of the dishes were good but I was a little bummed by the service and atmosphere, which was a little slammed with tourists, so I get it. I'd say come here for a great beer (which is their specialty) and a decent traditional German meal on the side. But there are better schnitzels and sausages in the area if you're looking for something cozier or tasty. The service was friendly though and we were overall happy we tried it out.

Great traditional food, very good service and an authentic atmosphere. The only hair in the soup for me is that the establishment allows people to bring their dogs. While we were there a couple of them started to bark aggressively at each other.
Recommended!
PS: We came back a few days later to lunch again, because we liked the food, the service and the authenticity of the place so much. The second time we did not have a reservation, and the place was packed. But we were greeted very kindly and quickly given a table. Everything was as good as the first time around or even better as there were no dogs the second time.

A restaurant where you can enjoy German cuisine.
The atmosphere in the back garden was nice and open, but it felt a bit cramped due to the number of tables.
The waiter was very friendly, and I didn't experience any of the negative impressions mentioned in other reviews.
The food was tasty, but not exceptionally delicious considering the price.

Really good evening at Bochardt. Our entire table ordered their gigantic wiener schnitzels, with potato salads and cucumber salads, a great authentic experience. The food was really tasty and generously portioned. Loved it, would love to return another time.

Service: I booked through The Fork, but the reservation was never recorded. A robotic woman at the front door bounced us to a man who sorted things out by assigning us a nice table. Nice waiters.
Food: incredibly disappointing. The pumpkin soup was really watery, and Angus filet and schnitzel were ok-ish.
Ambience: ultrabasic design and terrible lighting, the twilight atmosphere made me feel like lighting a bonfire in the middle of the restaurant!
Long story short, for the exorbitant bill you pay here, in Berlin, I'd go somewhere else!

The food wasn't hot, our waiter was kinda rude and treated us as plebs (which I don't deny but we still paid for this lol). It was delicious though and the atmosphere was nice.

We had a lovely time here. Everything was really perfect from start to finish. Especially the super attentive service and then obviously the food.
The Bouillabaisse is incredible. The depth of flavor while having a big selection of seafood in it was amazing. But also the tartar and the creme brulee were superb.
I'll definitely come back for a nice occasion as this restaurant definitely hits the mark :)

We really loved our dinner there tonight, as the food and atmosphere were really good. Our server was very nice but not really attentive after serving us our main course. She completely disappeared and never checked bag on us for over half an hour.
My wife had the seafood bouillabaise, which was delicious, and I went more traditional with the blood sausage, which I thought was spectacular! We loved our meal tonight, but the service was very cold and and fell flat as the meal went on.

The Brasserie am Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin offers a delightful culinary experience, seamlessly blending traditional flavors with modern flair. The pumpkin soup, a standout starter, impresses with its creamy texture and a harmonious blend of spices, providing a comforting yet sophisticated taste. The beef stew, the highlight of the meal, is a masterful display of culinary artistry. Tender, succulent pieces of veal are simmered to perfection, enveloped in a rich, flavorful sauce that complements the meat's natural flavors. Accompanied by a fresh, crisp side salad, the meal achieves a satisfying balance. The brasserie's ambiance, characterized by elegance and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, enhances the dining experience, making it a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists seeking authentic, high-quality German cuisine in Berlin.

They have front terrace and back garden, we had dinner in back garden, the environment is very good. We had 2 starters and 2 main dishes,(see pictures)they are amazing, literally as good as what we had in Thailand. Price is a bit higher, but worthy it overall.

Incredible and super tasty place in Berlin! All food was great, but the Tom Yum soup we had there was just incredible. Lots of yummy friend shrimp. Padthai was solid.

Yummy Asian food in a lovely setting. We ate in the courtyard. The only bummer are the people smoking.
Stand out dishes for me were the:
- chicken satay
- crispy shrimps
- crispy chicken skin
The beef in the pad Thai was still a bit bloody.
Admittedly we ordered a lot for 4 people. We couldn’t finish but we just miss Asian food so much.

Absolutely beautiful and perfectly cooked food. Highly recommend this place. The back and inner courtyard are really cozy. We had to wait for service because we were seated in the front - but the food is really (!!) worth the wait.

Our dinner experience at Goodtime Restaurant on a pleasant spring day was enjoyable. The food, offering a variety of Southeast Asian cuisine, was decent and satisfied our cravings. A delightful surprise was the presence of sparrows around, adding a charming touch to the atmosphere. Overall, a nice dining spot for a relaxed evening meal.

The meat options are great and delicious! I took the flanksteak medium-rare 350g and it was very juicy. The beer could be a bit colder. The 4 stars is because they made some mistakes eith the cooking level of the meat and prices, but I guess It's also because you are in one of the nicest areas of Berlin. The restaurant is quite cozy and the staff was very kind.

Had a 400g sirloin steak, it's good, but really too much for 1 person!
Don't get more than 200g, or you get tired of chewing 😅

We ordered beef goulash, cheese nacho and 250 grams ribeye. Goulash soup, is not like a beef stewed and rich beef broth. It has tenderloin in the soup. Similarly with the nachos. Cheese is not melted but generous amount of tenderloin beef. 3 sauces are put in little saucer. Medium ribeye turned out to be medium well. Nice environment with open kitchen style. Waiter (Ming) is attentive although he is the only person covering the entire floor. What we don’t like about this place is the bar tender. As a tourist, asking for Wifi password is very common. To my surprise, the bartender stopped Ming from providing me the password. He claimed that when they share the wifi, it will disrupt their operation. Seriously?? Isn’t wifi is something very common? Not the expert that i enjoyed.

Very nice restaurant. Really pleasant, fresh, specious and beautiful interior. All meals were very tasty. Goat cheese salad was served with garlic bread, very delicious and fulfilling, as well as meat was very tasty. As a side salad to meat, you can choose and put the salad yourself from buffet. Good restaurant to eat in Gendarmenmarkt.

Fine little cafe with many different things to eat.
I tried a pizza 🍕 slice and it was huge :)
Flavor was okay but a bit bland. Could not eat everything.
A bit nosy with a boom box blasting radio over the place.
It was clean

A short walk from Museum Island, this Pizza/Pasta place was a nice lunch break for the hungry traveler. The veggie pizza, lentil soup, and house salad all hit the spot. Even our picky eater devoured his food.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is very relaxing.. The decor, the fireplace and the classical music it all makes it very nice and cozy. Service is very attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious! We had a great evening.

There are different high-class restaurants. This one have their own old German atmosphere and a very tasty fresh dishes. The portions aren't so big, that you can't breathe, but also aren't too small, that you are going away hungry. I think three courses are enough. Also, there is a choice of an old and good alcohol, such as armaniak, Obstler, good vibes and others.

Wow ! What can I say ! simply stunning ... the whole experience was fabulous. My finance booked a surprise evening for my family/friends and I for my 50th Birthday week-end ! The restaurant did an outstanding job and we all loved it from start to finish. All the staff were outstanding - their customer service skills were beyond excellent ! I have to give a shout out to the head waiter who has served at the hotel where the restaurant is for 30 years.
The food was absolutely divine and the restaurant setting was stunning. We were a group of 12 , and the entire restaurant team handled us so well.
Thank you so much for making my birthday week-end in Berlin so memorable.

We have dined at the Charlotte&Fritz on New Year’s eve. Not only was the food delicious and the wine great, but also the ambience and the service of the personnel could not be any better. The restaurant is equipped with stylish furniture, and nice decorations which we were lucky to enjoy because we visited on the 31/12.
The wine made an excellent combination with the aesthetic meals.
If you are fond of gourmet food and nice stylish restaurants-Charlotte&Fritz is for you:)

Had an amazing dinner. The waiter organized a table for me even if there weren’t any more left. I had the 500g shrimps with Aioli - which were amazing, very fresh and nice sauce😋. And Creme Brulle was very good too.
Would definitely come back for the shrimps.

Wine was good, but then again, it was a 200 Euro wine.

This is not a fine dining restaurant.
I mean the restaurant’s interior is fine, but the dining…meh.
Cheap ingredients, frozen seafood. the quality and presentation leave much to be desired…. The cherry on the cake - they tried to deceive us and added dishes to the bill that we did not order. We paid almost 150 euros for a crooked version of caesar salad, tasteless mozzarella and a shelf with half-dead salmon, topped with an untreated roughly cut onion and a cheap caviar from supermarket.
But, that’s the only place around which is serving you food after 10pm.

Enjoying Berlin - Fine Dining at the Austernbank Berlin. The Restaurant is located in the former „Safe room“ of a Bank.
What an outstanding restaurant, great welcome, creative and classy dishes… from Oysters, to Bouillabaisse and we absolutely did enjoy our Gooselive Crème Brûlée.
We will visit this place again - that is for sure.

We looked at about six restaurants, sat down at two and then got up and left after waiting for someone to serve us and luckily we did as the last place we tried was Austernbank which ended up being the best meal I’ve had in the last three weeks.
The service was quick and friendly and the choice on the menu was different from most of the restaurants I’ve tried.
I selected the poke bowl with beef and it was scrumptious.
I will definitely be going back and recommending this restaurant to my friends.
