Great food and big portions! Recommended for vegans as they have a whole menu dedicated for both starters and main dishes, we’ve also been kindly offered some ouzo once seated. They also gave us some water for our dog 🐕 Overall a very good experience, I’d like to go back if I have the chance.

rate is like this because it was obvious that they wanted us to pay more, "let's say"... I ordered 1 dl of wine, they brought 2dl, okay come on, then we ordered a starter that costs 14 euros, some kind of spread with some beans on a regular plate (with hair) - we didn't complain (lucky I didn't notice it right away) for the main we ordered sharing some of their selection, price 21.90 which should have been enough for two people, I asked if it was enough and she said yes for two. The bill was 80 euros, hmm appetizer 14, main 21.90 wuth included salat and tsaziki and two beers and 2dl of wine, is that 80 euros??! To make matters even better, we didn't even receive a bill, only a confirmation of card payment. Gyros in the main dish are dry and greasy. All in all, I would not recommend.

Yamas! Took my friends whom were visiting Berlin and we had a really fun evening here. Overall dining experience was excellent. The atmosphere is low key elegant and dimly lit. It’s family owned so the space and service provides a intimate yet personal touch.
Food quality portion and size + value were all very good. Star dishes: grilled anchovies, walnut cake, moussaka.
Highly recommend if you love Greek food and Ouzo.

The food was amazing, musaka and mixed plate were absolutely great, one of the best greek restaurants we have been to. Staff is very kind and service is really good and fast.

Authentic Greek food. I was here a day after returning from Crete and I must say that the food tasted very original. I had the grilled octopus and it was perfectly done. Others in my group had the Cold and Hot plate, Greek Salad, Gyros, Lamb, Beef, Meze and everything was great! Service is a bit slow but the overall ambience and quality of food makes up for it.

Great hookah/shisha lounge, super friendly staff. The gentlemen who helped us were very kind through a slight language barrier, and made sure we were comfortable. Two stories, but they brought out chairs and a table for us to sit outside. Had a very good experience here for a late night smoke sesh.

I and my friends visited a shisha bar, where we ordered shisha and drinks. After receiving our bill, I bought a bottle of water and forgot to pay for it. When I arrived at the hotel, I called the bar, apologized, and offered to come and pay or transfer the amount. They told me it's not a problem and considered it a gift from the bar. Honestly, I was worried after reading some comments, but the staff at this shisha bar were very kind, and their service was excellent and fast. It's a really beautiful place.

It's a true Ethiopian restaurant in Berlin! There's a good choice of different dishes, although the portions are not that big. Prices are although very low. The waiters were extraordinary nice and the location is so pretty!

Visited this cozy restaurant on a Saturday evening. Location is a little far from our hotel but we felt like eating Ethiopean food and this one had good reviews. The food is indeed well spiced. We chose the menu for 2 which consisted of beef goulash, lentils, 2 chicken drumsticks, feta, cabbage and salad. We paired it with South African white wine and Djuju Mango. Good service, nice ambiance with the candles.

We ate outside and the waiter didn’t bother cleaning our table, he just picked the biggest leaves on the table with his hand and just brought us menus.
The food was ok, not the best Ethiopian I’ve had but decent enough. The portions were very small and expensive. The vegan platter for 2 people +2 soft drinks came to 40€!! (Apparently a Diet Coke is 5€… and an apple juice is 4.50€)
Also, green salad were two of the dishes on the platter, and it wasn’t even fresh!
It would have been just about ok if we hadn’t be so ripped off on the price for the whole thing.

I really like this Ethiopian restaurant as it is close to my house. For the first time I ordered a salad and was a bit disappointed as it was nothing special, could have been done better at home and for the price it is not worth it.
However, the main dish was super good. I took the mix plate with lamb curry and 3 vegetarian dishes. It was super good and really filling.

The portions are very generous and the food is tasty. No problems with the staff and they were very accommodating. Probably best to go with a friend or two to share meals together.
The location is also very good as it's close to U Hallesches Tor.

A hidden gem near the center of Berlin! The food was fresh and the restaurant was very clean. Berlin isn't known for having a ton of traditional German food, so try some food from their strong immigrant history. Gibe this place a try!

Great atmosphere with some of the most delicious food in Berlin. I really felt like I am back home in the Balkans. We had Gurmanska Plejskavica and Hajducki Cevap with some Sljivovica and felt like in paradise!

On first glance it doesnt look like anything special but the food is amaizing. The seafood tasted very fresh and there were vegan options for traditional croatian foods. There were many options for sides and a salad was included in the price!

I have to mention that the potato with pancetta was really very greasy, otherwise the steak well done was excellent. Price ok.

We visited Hallesches Haus for brunch on our most recent visit to Berlin.
It is conveniently located right next to the Hallesches Tor station and is within the heart of Kreuzberg, an up and coming vibrant neighbourhood of Berlin.
Do not let the outside of the building deceive you! Walking down the passageway, you catch a glimpse of the wonderful outdoor dining area that is full of foliage and overhead lighting.
When walking into the building you are greeted with a gift shop/store that sells a variety of products from independent suppliers and retailers.
We chose to sit indoors, the restaurant/cafe area is incredibly spacious, well lit and aesthetically pleasing. There is table service if you choose to dine in, but this was not communicated upon arrival leading to a bit of confusion, but it was not a problem.
In terms of the food, unfortunately the menu on the day we visited was very limited. We were told this was due to an event being held at the venue later in the day. Because of this, we opted to have the “Full Haus” and can gladly say this was delicious! The menu appears to change during weekdays and weekends so I would look online beforehand if you are planning a visit.
Service was quick and the prices reasonable for this area of Berlin. The staff were friendly and there was a particular English member of staff that really stood out amongst the rest in the best kind of way, unfortunately we did not get his name!
If you are in the area, I would highly recommend a visit to Hallesches Haus.

The cappuccino is really delicious. I love the coffee strength and arome. Very well made.
I also tried the carrot cake (and I am not a big fan of carrots) and it turned out to be the best carrot cake I have tried ever. Rich taste, moist, smooth with some chunks, very balanced cake to frosting ratio, I just fell in love!
Also the atmosphere is warm and lovely, the place is spacious with good music in the background. Some tables have (no laptop) sign on them but others don't, I see people working here on laptops normally.
Highly recommended 👌

This is one of my favorite cafes 🌹 The high ceilings and vibrant atmosphere make it a great place to work on my laptop. Every visit feels like a mini vacation. They offer delicious food, cakes, drinks, and cocktails, and there’s a design store at the front. Please note, they only accept card payments.

Hidden gem

I had a döner kebap here for 6 Euros. The döner was good, the staff friendly and the place in general clean. The only option to eat inside is at a bar table while you have to keep standing. Therefore I took my food home and ate it there.

I owe my weight-gain of 2016 thanks to this döner shop. Recommending for nostalgia's sake!

5 stars are not enough to judge such perfection.
This Döner might be the reason I love Berlin that much. It represents everything the city has to offer !
It reminds me of my childhood memories discovering food for the first time and falling in love with it. It was a sunny afternoon in Ohio, grandma was napping while grandpa was cooking the meat with spices, garlic and cream : the three sauce you can find in this Döner …
Thank you Mac for this pleasant trip in the past, love.
